2 and a half years later…
SHIELD is gone and Coulson has Logan stationed in NYC to monitor potential threats…
Logan sat in her office, currently on a top level of the almost gone Avengers Tower as it began to move upstate, looking over her radar for signs of anything abnormal.
She had mourned Loki, a man she barely knew, for the last two and a half years, always in quiet and never allowing it to get in the way of her work. But, questions always followed her and her lack of dating or interest in men, or women for that matter. She felt as though her heart had died the day she learned Loki had died in battle, before she had hope of his return, but not any longer.
As she was lost in thought, a portal opening on a street corner grabbed her attention. Logan got up and began her journey to the nearby location, going through the motions each day.
When she grew closer to the ping on her phone where the abnormality originated, she saw Thor in casual wear but by his side, there was another man. He had long black hair and from the back appeared to be in an all black suit. Logan shook off the skip in her heart beat that it could be Loki as she approached.
"Thor," she announced herself causing him to turn, "I hope your business here is peaceful," she finished as the other man turned as well, revealing Loki, standing alive before her eyes.
Her breath caught as she attempted to remain professional, waiting for Thor's answer, almost pretending what she thought could be a hallucination of Loki wasn't even there.
Thor replied, "We are only here to look for my Father." He recognized her and a smile came across his face, "I remember you. Loki faked his death," he gestured to his brother.
Logan braved looking at the man she grieved over and saw a sly smile upon his face. "Logan Miller," his voice was as charming as she'd remembered, "I told you we weren't over."
She couldn't help but smile back, restraining herself from embracing him, but suddenly a golden circle appeared beneath his feet. Thor shook his head in disappointment, "Brother, what are you doing?"
Loki's face was distressed, "It's not me," as he fell through a hole suddenly in the concrete of the sidewalk.
"He's right," Logan agreed with the no longer present brother, picking up the card now in his place, "Doctor Strange got him. Follow me," she guided Thor to the address, which she knew quite well.
Logan knocked on the door which opened promptly to reveal Strange waiting on them. "Do you think, just once, you could let me do my job?" she asked, annoyed.
"Who are you?" Thor asked.
Strange replied, "I am Doctor Strange and I am in charge of protecting this city from threats which your brother represents," he began using his magic to bring them to another room. Thor was off balance but Logan was used to his antics.
"Strange," she began, "Loki was never truly a threat," she began defending him as she wished to so many years ago. "He was sent here by Thanos and under his control."
Strange waved off her words, looking instead to Thor, "Would you like some tea?"
"I don't drink tea," he replied gruffly.
"What do you drink? I assume you'll have what he's having, Ms. Miller?" Strange replied.
Logan nodded as Thor stated, "Not tea." Suddenly, the three were in a sitting room, Thor and Logan with beers in their hands.
Thor explained, "We're looking for my Father."
Strange nodded, "If I give you his location then you and your brother will leave Earth?" Logan didn't like the idea of losing Loki again, so quickly but remained quiet.
"Immediately. If you knew where he was, why didn't you just call me?" Thor asked, in return.
Strange furrowed his brow, "Well, he wished to remain in exile and you don't have a phone."
"No, I don't have a phone but you could have sent me one of those electronic messages, an email," Thor replied causing Logan to look away to hide her laughter.
"Do you have a computer?" Strange asked.
It was Thor's turn to look confused, "No, what for?"
Logan interjected, "It doesn't matter. Can you please open one of your magic circles and let Thor get to his Father?"
Strange nodded, "Of course," as he shifted them back to the entryway where he opened the portal, "You'll be going to Norway. Don't forget your umbrella," he added.
Thor opened his hand to call for, what was truly, his hammer which they heard crashing through Strange's home until it landed in Thor's hand.
"Safe travels," Strange stated.
Logan gave him a look, "His brother too, Strange," her tone was filled with zero patience.
Strange nodded, glancing at her with a similar look, before he motioned and then Loki crashed to the ground.
Loki stood up, enraged, "I've been falling for thirty minutes!" before he turned to see Strange, pulling two knives from nowhere, "Who are you?" he threatened.
Strange didn't allow the moment to escalate or continue as he sent them through to Norway, pushing Logan through as well, just for fun.
