The wet man grabbed Miroku's hand tightly as he pulled him out of the slow moving river. His dress shoes planted on the soft dirt and water leaked from his clothing back into the river. He did nothing to dry himself off,he just stood there and stared. After a second he casually looked around and then looked back at the other two.

"Yes this is the right time period just not the right place." He said nodding his head a little. Then he fully acknowledged the other two people looking mildly confused. "Where is the village where the dog demon lives? He might be accompanied by two large white men. " He asked plainly. Miroku opened his mouth but then look at Sango who just gave him a puzzled look then a shrug. He sighed and shook his head. He pinched the bridge of his nose and closed his eyes.

"He lives here, we can take you to them." He dropped his hand and started walking in the direction of the village.

"Thank you. You two are much nicer than the last couple I met. They were not pleased to find me in their living room." the soggy angel explained. Sango gave him an odd look then gave Miroku the same look. He just shrugged his shoulders and kept his pace. He entered the door of the hut and yelled "Sam, Dean there is a man here looking for you. We found him in the river." Miroku then laid by the fire and sighed again. His eyes closed and in minutes his poster slumped and his mind in deep slumber. Sango watched him for a second before setting herself down to make lunch for the day.

Dean walked in through the front door to find his angel looking around with his back to the door. "Cas how the hell did you get here?" He asked getting his attention. Sam walked through the door with a basket full of greens. Kagome following close behind with more vegetables. "And why are you all wet?" Sam asked walking fully in and setting the basket down next to several other baskets filled with rice and other foods like dried meat. Cas looked at his dripping clothes.

"I've been trying to get here for hours but for some reason my angelic powers won't take me here. I ended up in several different times periods and several different homes and one bath tub before I ended up in the river where that nice couple helped me out." he pointed over to Miroku who was sleeping and Sango who was still in her spot. Kagome left while he was talking and came back with a handful of clothes for the new man to put on. She put them in his arms and pointed him away.

"Please change out of your wet clothes. I will dry them and you can put them back on later." She didn't wait for him to answer she just shoved him away. She sighed and looked at Sango. "I'm going to have to explain why there is another strange male here to Inuyasha." Sango gave her a half smile and a thumbs up. Kagome chuckled and grabbed some of the food her friend was making. It was a clear soup with dried meats and veggies. She also got a bowl full of cooked rice and put both foods in her own containers which had lids she could close tightly. She then put ready made tea into a thermos and all of these things went into a cloth, which she tied tightly. "I am going to go give Inuyasha food. I'll be back a little while." She slipped her school shoes on and was out the door without another word.

This was all of big adjustment to the demon. It was all temporary but he still had to adjust and he was not very good at that. He had been much more grumpy lately and she felt bad about it. For her these were people she understood because they were from her time. But for him they might as well had been aliens who dropped down from a saucer in the sky. The grassy hill in front of her swayed in the wind. The only sound was small birds chirping lightly to the spring day. At the top of the hill was a large tree going up a hundred feet at least. It's branches reaching far into the sky as if it were to give the sun and clouds a high five. Underneath the tree was a small figure laying down. She sighed and started her quick trek up. Everything was a peaceful as it could have been. When she reached the peak she quietly set the foed down and opened the containers. It wouldn't be long until he woke. He looked just as peaceful as his surrounding. His features soft and almost boyish. He had the look of a late teenager but he was much older. His arms normally would lay behind his head and his feet all the way spread out but this time it was different. His arms curled under his head acting as a pillow and his body curled into a C shape. It was like he was a child resting so soundly in his bed. She smiled and just watched him sleep. If only he could be like his always.

As she predicted the smell of the soup made his nose sniff in suspicion and his eyebrows scrunch. It took a minute for his eyes to open after he vigorously rubbed them. Even open they still looked sleepy. He looked around until he found the soup and Kagome. She was still smiling as happily as she was before. He scowled and sat up, stretchy as he did.

"What's with the dumb look?" He asked reaching for the soup. Kagome's face contorted into offense as she reeled back from the insult.

"Nothing! So much for bringing you lunch. It's rude to insult someone's face when they do something nice for you." She scolded turning from him a little.

"Hey I wasn't saying your face was dumb I was saying the look you were giving me was dumb." He responded taking a bite of his food hungirly. She sighed, so much for the peaceful atmosphere. She didn't say anything and there was a weird silence for a couple minutes. She thought about leaving but he muttered "Thanks for bringing me food." She smiled again and didn't respond, the silence was better this time.

"How are Sango and Miroku?" He asked finishing the soup and moving onto the rice. She handed him the tea as she explained.

"They are both doing fine. They talked things out at the river."

"Good. I couldn't take them both moping around wishing it was themselves instead for much longer." He retorted.

"Oh man me neither." Kagome laughed. There was another pause and he finished his rice. He placed the container down and cleared his throat.

"Uh and the other two, they are still here?" He didn't look at her when he asked. She noticed his posture got a little tighter as well.

"No they are still here." He sighed in frustration and she chuckled nervously. "And about that…" He looked over his shoulder at her warily.

"Yeah?"

"Uh well it seems their friend has shown up possibly to help them with the search for the shard or maybe just to give them information." Inuyasha's head spun to look at her sharply.

"What?"

"I don't really know what he is doing here. He just showed up all wet and…"

"How do you not know?!" The demon yelled cutting her off.

"Hey I don't know what he's doing do I look like his mom?" She yelled defensively standing and gathering her things.

"Oh well that's just great Kagome now there is three of those idiots instead of two. Pretty soon there is going to be more of them than us." He stood himself now and began to pace angrily.

"What have they done besides help us?" She asked tying up her cloth.

"Oh you mean help us find the shards to take for themselves. Yeah they have been so much help bringing that other demon around to kill us. That was just a blast!" He yelled looking her in the eyes. She breathed deeply and turned around. She stomped down the hill as he called after her. "Kagome, Kagome wait."

"No."

"Wait up, stop walking away." He grabbed her arm and she spun to look up at him.

"Why so you can yell at me some more? So you can stand here and blame me for things I can't control?" She was seething, he had been more grumpy lately but he had also been more of a jerk to her than usual. He yelled at her more than he usually did and stayed mad longer. There was no excuse for that. So now it was her turn to be mad.

"I didn't blame you." The anger in his voice was still there but less potent than before.

"I know you do blame me. It's in how you talk to me, it's what is behind the words you say. I won't stand here and get blamed anymore. Yell at someone else." She turned again but he stopped her. "Let go." She spit.

"I'm sorry." He wasn't looking at her but at the ground. He let his hair cover his eyes. She stopping moving and just stared at him. "I didn't mean to do that. I don't blame you. I just think maybe…" He didn't finish. She dropped what was in her hand and put all her focus on him. She narrowed her eyes in concern.

"What?'

He paused before he continued his thought. "Maybe you like them more. When they leave maybe you'll go with them." He still didn't look at her and that was probably good because if her face wasn't dumb before it might be now.

"You think I am going to leave you. You're that worried or jealous?" She asked. She was expecting him to make a big deal of her calling him jealous but he didn't. He just turned his head away. She grabbed his other hand and he loosed his grip on her arm so she could grab that one too. "I'm not going to leave you or the others. I care about you. The only reason I got along so well with them is because they are also people from the 21st century. They understand where I am coming from but that doesn't mean I like them more." She explained with a little bit of a laugh. He looked her in the eyes this time. His cheeks were a little pink and his eyes wide.

"You care about me?" He asked softly. His expression was curious and even a little embarrassed. She thought it was even a little cute. Her cheeks became a little pink themselves as she tried to answer casually.

"I mean yeah, of course I do." She chuckled nervously and tucked hair behind her ear. When she looked up Inuyasha reached out and pushed more hair behind her ear that she had obviously looked into eachothers eyes as he let his hand rest on her cheek. His eyes wondered to her soft lips which were slightly parted. He never looked at them for this long and he noticed they were a soft warm color. He leaned in and she let him. Their lips were inches from each other now, but a man's voice called out very close to them. The couple didn't catch what he said as Inuyasha fell to the ground and Kagome screamed in shock.

"I am sorry I have interrupted something. "The angel stated looking at both people.

"Nope I was just leaving." Kagome said in a panic as she gathered her things and ran down the hill towards the village.

"I didn't look like she was leaving." He said looking down at the demon who just glared back at him.
