Inuyasha stood far enough away from the angel that if he tried anything he could get his sword out. They stared at each other for a couple of minutes and the demon was determined to not say anything. He normally wasn't this petty but these people have caused more internal drama then any of the other beings the groups has encountered. To Inuyasha this treatment was well warranted. The angel finally spoke up after a several minutes of painful silence. "I have come to tell you that I am leaving and taking Sam and Dean Winchester with me." The demons ears perked up literally.

"What?" he was shocked, jaw dropping moment and everything.

"Yes there is nothing we need here, we are not going to pursue the jewel shards any longer."

"Why the sudden change?" His jaw was rightfully back in place and he was now sending the other man sceptical glares.

"There has been some recent information that has come to light and we don't need the shards." there was more to the situation than his was leading on but Inuyasha was not going to question the real motives for them checking out of the game.

"Great lets go help them pack." He said happily. This was the best he's felt in days. Kagome was going to be a little upset but this was better for everyone in the end. He walked down the hill quickly and when he turned back around to tell the man to hurry he was gone. "Why can't I do that." He mumbled securing his blade then jumping into the tree line.

Sam and Dean sat out by the river and looked at the water waiting for their companion's return. They heard that Kagome was going to have to deal with an angry demon because of the new situation so after they talked to Cas about leaving they sent him up there to tell the demon the good news. Cas had come to gather them and bring them back to the modern world. Castle had informed them that the angels were plotting to use the jewels for nefarious means and that they would probably die in the process of getting them. Either way Heaven wins and the Winchesters lose. The brothers felt conflicted about the whole thing. They didn't want to leave after everything they've done and all of the trouble they've caused. But at the same time they didn't want to die in futile Japan or give the jewels to the angels either.

"What are you guys up to?" Kagome asked from behind them. She sat down next to Sam but leaned forward to look at both of them equally. They looked at eachother then looked at her.

"We're waiting for Cas to come back." Dean said not wanting to have the conversation they were about to have.

"Why?"

"Because we're leaving." Sam said trying not to sound harsh. They knew that she had gotten to like these guys a lot. She looked up to them and they knew that so leaving was going to be hard for her.

"Oh...I mean yeah that makes sense. Of course you guys are leaving I knew you would, it was just a matter of time. I am going to miss having you guys around. It was nice having people to relate to and you guys are cool and funny." as she talked her tone got sadder and sadder. In any normal situation this didn't have to be goodbye forever but nothing was normal with Sam and Dean and everything for them means goodbye. No one said anything and they watched the slow flowing river until the Cas and Inuyasha came walking up.

"We're back." Cas said standing behind the small group. The brother stood and Sam gave Kagome a hand so she could stand too. They all looked at each other in awkward still silence. To no one's shock Inuyasha was the one to break the ice.

"So it was nice knowing you guys but you should get headed back before it's too late." he said with a grin on his face. Kagome glared at him. When he caught the look he was honestly to happy to actually care about the repercussions he was going to get later.

When Kagome noticed that he wasn't caring she huffed and smiled at the brothers. "I'm gonna miss you guys, it was great while it lasted." She said with with a sad smile.

"We're gonna miss you too." Sam said sticking his hands in his pockets. They were never good at a formal goodbye. Kagome opened her arms and wrapped herself around the giant of a man tightly. He was taken aback but when he realized what she was doing he hugged her back just as tightly. When he let go she moved on to Dean, he was ready though. He opened his arms and let her in. They hugged tightly and when it was over she felt sadder than she was before. They hadn't been here long but they left a big impact on the group.

"Oh I need to go get the rest of the group, they need to say goodbye." She exclaimed. She turned on her heels quickly but before she left she grabbed the demons arm. "Be nice." She hissed and let him go. Inuyasha whined and rubbed his arm looking back after her.

"You should tell her man." Dean said folding his arms with a smirk on his lips.

"What the hell are you talking about?" he asked narrowing his eyes.

"Dude you have it bad for her, I don't blame you she's a keeper." Dean said with a chuckle. He saw the fire in Inuyasha's eyes he held up his hands. "I mean I'm not going to that or anything."

"Yeah she's way to young for us." Sam added waving his hands down his body to highlight the age difference. Inuyasha accepted this and calmed down a little. He looked over his shoulder to see if she was coming but she wasn't yet. "If you don't tell her it will be too late, trust me I've been there." Sam said but Dean nodded in agreement. Inuyasha thought for a good second then shook his head.

"I don't have feelings for Kagome, she's just Kagome!" He exclaimed not knowing how to word his feelings. The brothers looked at each other with a grin and looked back at him.

"Sure buddy." Sam said folding his arms. Inuyasha opened his mouth to argue more but was cut off by a scream. They group turned towards the village and ran without thinking of another second.

They rounded the corner and found nothing. There was no blood, monsters or a sign of struggle except for tracks in the dirt that looked like people had been fighting. Dean ran straight for the home they had been staying at and found Sango, Shippo, and Miroku inside. They were standing ready to make their way outside. "What's happening?" Miroku asked coming out first.

"We heard a scream, where is Kagome?" Dean asked looking around.

"We thought she was with you." Shippo said looking up at the man. They all ran back to the spot where the struggle was.

"She's not with you guys?" Inuyasha yelled looking around frantically. He threw his head up into the air and screamed her name at the top of his lungs. He did this until he thought of a better idea. He dropped to his knees and sniffed the ground trying to pick up a scent. Her scent was all over the spot but it faded as he went further away and was gone when he got into the forest. "God damn it Kagome where are you!" He screamed slamming his fists on the ground.

"This has to be Naroku's doing." Miroku sneered looking around for any clues.

"Or Meg." Sam said. The atmosphere darkened at the thought of what either person would do with her.

"Does she have the shards?" Inuyasha whispered not moving from his position. No one answered and he knew. He stood and screamed in frustration and anger. "I'll rip out the throat of whoever did this. I am going to kill them both even if it's the last thing I do." He walked straight into the forest without looking at anyone but silently the people followed him at some distance.
