Edit note: I noticed somewhere in the format conversaion a word got placed in bold that shouldn't have been. it made a weird emphasis that bothered me and I've fixed it. I took the opportunity to also edit the AN at the end to address something that has shown up in the reviews.

May was doing the last check on her equipment before stowing it in her locker. She hated doing it but it made sense for the moment. Only the teachers and the Atlesian guards were allowed to keep their weapons on hand when on the Amity Colosseum, and May planned on spending a lot of her time there. Better to just leave her rifle in the locker so she wouldn't have to keep coming back every time she wanted to watch a match.
With a sigh, she seals the locker and looks down at her hands. The first round for the first and second years would start the next day. Whole teams would be eliminated and May was determined not to be one of them. Match ups would be decided that morning to give the teams no time to prepare ahead. So all she could do is drill herself like she has been for the past three hours.
"May, are you still going over Myrtle's Bloom? You'll wear out all the parts if you spend any more time cleaning and checking it." Nolan comments wandering over to the part of the weapons locker granted for guest use. His sunglasses were perched on the bridge of his nose. "So, how about you take a break and tell me how your little vacation went?"
May rolls her eyes, what did he think she was about to do after putting her rifle in it's locker? Still his heart is in the right place even if he does look ridiculous wearing those sunglasses indoors. Deciding to do him a favor she plucks them from his face and folds them into his pocket. "There, now you look as cool as you can while still owning tinted pink sunglasses." She quips before dancing away from a swiping hand with a grin.
May huffed, "Alright, alright I'll tell you. It was…" She trails off as images come to mind of her time on Patch with Ruby, from patrolling the forest to cuddling the red caped beauty, her mind ending on the couch where Ruby had gotten a little adventurous, causing a blush to cross her features. "It was really nice. Patch is a beautiful and peaceful place. Maybe you guys should come with next time?" She offers as he looks at her cheeks before following with a look that she pretends not to notice.
"Well I'm glad you had a good time." He replies as they start to leave the locker room. Once outside he gives her a once over before pulling out one of those dreaded immune booster drinks and pushing it into her hands. Getting a glare in return that he doesn't bother responding to.
"I'm not sick Nolan." She whines holding the offensive concoction as far away as she possibly can from herself.
"And we want you to stay that way, drink it. Or do I need to get Brawnz and Roy to hold you down?" He asks, watching her grumble before forcing the disgusting fluid down before gagging and bending over. Taking deep breaths to fight the immediate reaction to vomit. When she gets over it he takes the bottle back with a chuckle. He was there when her doctor looked over her leg and gave her a clean bill of health.
'She might have been grouchy the whole time, but I think if she was really annoyed by the flowers I gave her then doc would have just canned them. There was a trashcan right next to her after all.' She considers, smirking to herself as she recalls how her doctor rolled her eyes while brandishing the flowers like a weapon. While May pretended to lament the spurning of her affections, with her team and girlfriend watching on in amusement.
She's pulled from her thoughts as someone nearby clears their throat dragging her attention along with Nolan's to the blond guy from team JNPR. 'Jaune, wasn't it? I still have that video of when he tried to ask Weiss to the dance.'
In the interest of being friendly, she stops walking and turns to him. "Hello, you're Jaune, right?" Wanting to be certain before she get's in the habit of calling him the wrong name.
"Yeah, uh… Look can I talk to you a bit? You know, alone?" He asks glancing at Nolan, getting a raised brow from the partners before May responds.
"Why not? See ya Nolan, I'll go see what he wants." She offers before following the blond out of the building. Once out in the open of an empty courtyard he clears his throat again before looking at her.
"Okay, so, I'm just curious you know. What do you think of Pyrrha?" He asks, hands in his pockets as he tries to seem casual. It's just so odd, May has to take a second to really think about what she was just asked. Afterall, she had expected him to ask about her relationship with Ruby or threaten her if she messed up with her girlfriend. Basic things any friend might do for another. She hadn't expected him to start asking her about his own partner.
'It's really out of left field. How am I even supposed to respond to that?' She wonders before sighing and just deciding to go the honest route.
"Honestly, at first, I didn't know what to make of Nikos. She was either arrogant or very humble. I'm leaning towards the latter, but, with her accepting a fight right after taking an entire team solo, it hints at the former." She says before sighing. "Still, she's nice enough after I've spent some time with her. Why do you ask?" She asks still wondering where this is coming from.
"O-oh, no reason. I was just curious. Have a good one." He says before walking away as May's eye narrows in contemplation before shooting wide.
'No, no way. I need to talk to Ruby.'
~RR~
Ruby was doing some maintenance on Crescent Rose herself. A bench in the schools workshop having been claimed for the time being while she uses her tools to make small adjustments while making sure the joints move smoothly as it changes form. Her sweetheart was likely to be the most well looked after weapon on campus. Not that anyone was keeping score.
She had no idea there was anyone else in the room, with her headphones on, she wouldn't have noticed. Her head bobbing to the music as she works. It isn't until she set down part of her scythe' segmented blade followed by her tools so she can look over the next segment of work that it becomes apparent she's not alone.
She had just started to reach for the next part when her chair is spun around, getting a loud squeak of surprise before the back of her chair is pressed against the table and all thoughts of maintenance are driven from her mind by the steel blue orb staring into her eyes only inches away. Her hands move up to her headphones to pull them down when her wrists are caught and her gaze flickers to the little smirk on May's lips, making the shorter girl gulp audibly.
Her hands are drawn down to the armrests of her chair as May moves closer, straddling Ruby's lap before closing the distance between their lips. That single eye closing as they touch, Ruby lets out a whimpered moan, her small hands leaving the rests on her chair to slide around May's waist.
As the kiss drags on, one of those small hands get's a little bold and slides down, causing May to rise in response. Lifting herself higher in her position until she's bent over Ruby's front, making the ravenette's head tip backwards. Only breaking apart when the need to breath becomes too much leaving Ruby panting roughly, even as she feels May moving her headphones down to her neck.
She knows her face is blushing brightly from the sudden affection as her hands squeeze a little, only to just now realize they're no longer on the arms of the chair. A fact made more obvious when May responds with a pleasant hum, slowly settling herself back down in Ruby's lap. Even as Ruby quickly moves her hands away, realizing that squeezing May's bum in public was likely to be very embarrassing should someone else come in. Not that the amused chuckle from the sniper wasn't.
"Oh we've already talked about this Ruby, I won't mention it anymore. Though I am glad you're getting more comfortable with me." She comments, turning off the headphones as the music was still playing and a little distracting.
'Touching you under a blanket where no one can see and touching you while in public where anyone - everyone - can see is completely different!' Is the reply that comes first from Ruby's mind. However, when she tries to say it, it comes out mumbled as she hides her face in May's shoulder to keep the blush hidden.
"Alright, alright, I didn't really come here to tease you anyway. Instead of just enjoying spending time with you. We need to talk." She says, and Ruby immediately flies into a panic as her thoughts turn over every interaction the pair has had since they started dating.
"W-what?! But what happened? Did I do something wrong? Please tell me what I did, I'll try to stop. Give me another chance, please?" She pleads rapidly, her arms wrapping around May's waist as she quivers in fear, desperately not wanting to lose her girlfriend.
"Ruby…" The sniper starts only to sigh as she rubs her forehead. Muttering what sounds like 'Phrasing May, work on your phrasing.' Eventually she just hugs the shaking Ruby and whispers warmly into her ear. "Not that kind of talk, Ruby. We're doing great and you've done nothing wrong. I'm absurdly happy being your girlfriend."
That gets through and Ruby starts to relax before wiping at her eyes and taking a deep breath before blushing darkly, embarrassed at her own reaction. "S-sorry May, what did you want to talk about?"
May hems and haws for a long moment as she tilts her head back and forth before finally just answering. "I think Nikos might have a crush on me now after I gave her that advice when we were at the shooting gallery."
It's stated bluntly and Ruby finds herself uncertain how to react to that. "What? How do you know?" She questions, not sure how she should be reacting to this news. Her hands wrap around May's waist and tighten a little.
'I mean. I shouldn't be too surprised. May is gorgeous, it's normal for other people to be interested in her, right? But Nebula said she might get bored and break things off…' Ruby's thoughts turn as she squeezes tighter to her girlfriend until she feels a hand sliding gently across her face wiping away tears she didn't know she had started to shed.
"Hey now, what's wrong? I didn't come and tell you so you would be upset. I just thought you'd want to know." May says curiously, not resisting the added pressure on her waist at all, her body only shifting a little to make herself more comfortable on Ruby's lap.
"It's… It's nothing really, just something stupid and I'm overreacting. S-so how do you know she likes you?" Ruby asks, not wanting her insecurities to come out so plainly. She didn't want to be possessive and clingy, out of the fear that might push the older girl away.
"Oh, your blonde friend, Jaune, came to find me and asked me what I think of her with the subtlety of a brick through a window. I can only guess it's a reaction to me helping her get over someone else. Funny how that works sometimes. I did tell her she should try testing the waters with a few other people and see if anything clicked. I didn't expect her to take an interest in me, though." May comments, her fingers idly running through Ruby's hair. "I wanted to talk to you about it first so you were hearing it from me. And even then, I'm not sure, it's just a guess based on how Jaune asked me."
Ruby sighs and relaxes against May's shoulder. "Couldn't we just ask her?" She offers lamely, only to blink at the little smirk crossing her girlfriend's lips. It sends a shiver of delight through Ruby.
"Well it's still possible that it's not true. And even if it is, she might just deny it. I do have an idea though. What if we tease her a bit? Get her to look and you can see how she reacts. Don't worry, Ruby. I'm more than happy with what we have now. I just don't want there to be any problems for us later." Comes the reassurance, and Ruby can't help but trust the older girl. After all, May has yet to give her any reason to doubt so far.
"So what do we do then?" The red cloaked girl asks, and from the look on May's face, she had to wonder if agreeing to this ahead of time was a good idea.

Pyrrha blinks at her scroll, reading an invitation to practice shooting with Ruby and May again. It takes her a short time to grab Milo from her locker as she nearly forgot to grab the empty casings she still had from the last round with the pair.
'I'm surprised, I didn't think I made a very good impression on May last time when I questioned how hard on herself she was being.' She ponders before shrugging. She would just have to apologize again to the sniper. Being polite was always the right way to go.
She takes her time in front of the mirror in her team's bathroom, making sure she's presentable before heading back to the shooting gallery with the shopping bag in one hand and Milo in the other.
With a deep breath, she enters the gallery with a calm smile on her face as May and Ruby are already busy setting up targets for the three of them and scattering them down range at different heights and ranges. Ruby, of course, finishes first and notices Pyrrha, jogging over with an adorable smile on her face.
"Heya Pyrrha, thanks for coming! It's always more fun with friends." She says before pointing out the single station with cases of ammo set up under the stand. "We're taking turns at this one so we don't get in each other's way. Do you mind going last? May already has her rounds set out." She says looking a little apologetic.
With a small smile, Pyrrha shakes her head. "No I don't mind. Thank you for inviting me, Ruby." Her eyes never leaving the deep pools of silver until May's arm wraps around Ruby's waist, pulling her into a little hug.
"Oh it's okay, it was actually May's idea." She admits, frowning as the taller sniper ruffles her hair, gaining amusement from May and Pyrrha both.
"Oh, I actually wanted to apologize Miss Zedong. For what I said last time about your skill being more than adequate." She says offering a little bow, only to shift uncomfortably when May peers at her closely before shrugging.
"It's fine Nikos. You already apologized after all, and we're friendly enough now that I think you can call me May." May offers.
"Pyrrha, then. Friendship goes both ways, May." She offers getting a grin from the couple that makes her blush faintly before noticing May whisper to Ruby before moving to take the station, her rifle being held in her arms as she aims down the sight in a crouched position.
Pyrrha has little trouble keeping her eyes on either the rifle or the targets as Ruby moves up next to her talking between shots in a soft tone the sniper is unlikely to hear, her focus so tight on the targets down range.
"She's so beautiful, you know? I'm really lucky." Ruby says simply her eyes gazing right at her girlfriend, not bothering to even glance down field as May shifts and adjusts to the different targets her barrel sweeping side to side.
Pyrrha pays more attention to the girl herself at that. Her eyes track over May's exposed midriff as her jacket is wrapped around her waist, leaving a tank top her only upper body wear for the moment. Muscles lean but tight, flexing with each shot, bracing her rifle against recoil. "She is, but you're not the only lucky one. She's lucky too." Pyrrha admits tearing her eyes away from May as she tries not to stare. Trying desperately not to blush too obviously.
'Maybe this wasn't such a good idea. It's hard to focus on just being around them like this.' She considers, taking a deep breath as she tries to focus, missing the searching look on Ruby's face entirely.
Soon enough, May finishes her first turn and taps her scroll to stop the clock before looking at it with a satisfied smile, her hands shouldering her rifle as she heads over, wrapping Ruby in a hug as she kisses the little red-themed girl, an odd feeling developing in Pyrrha's gut at the sight.
A feeling that disturbs the tall red head a fair bit. It's not jealousy, though. She grew quite familiar with that feeling listening to Jaune talk about Weiss over the past few months. The closest she can get to defining the emotion is longing. 'Maybe it's because I just wish I had something similar for myself?'
It's pondering this that she misses May whispering to Ruby before holding the younger girl's cloak as she removed it. The taller sniper folding it carefully over her arm as she moves to stand next to the leggy amazon. What does get Pyrrha's attention is when Ruby moves the counter holding their rounds out of the way, letting her lie down on her stomach. Her lower body shifting as she gets comfortable, her tongue sticking out of the side of her mouth as she aims down range.
"See something you like there, Pyrrha?" May teases with a mischievous tone, giggling as the Invincible Girl is caught watching Ruby Rose a little too closely. And by the girl's own girlfriend no less!
"O-oh um. I just think she has an interesting stance. You rarely get the chance to take a position like that in combat." Pyrrha replies after clearing her throat. Her reply tailored for innocence, if only the creeping red on her cheeks would just follow suit, she might not get called out for it either.
Thankfully, May doesn't seem to notice, or at least isn't commenting on it as she replies with a simple 'uh-huh'. Did that sound like disbelief? Pyrrha isn't sure and before she can decide, May kept going. "Well, that is true. Once the fight's started, getting into a prone position is pretty foolish. But for sniping, a prone position is the best you can get for stability without something to rest your rifle on. You should try it." May suggests before adding in at a lower tone after shifting closer to the tall red head. "Besides, the view is nice, yeah?" She asks and Pyrrha can only give a distracted 'yeah' before realizing what she just agreed to, covering her mouth as May starts to chuckle, giving Pyrrha a wink when the tall girl turns her way to start defending herself.
Confusion. That feeling she's felt more than a few times. Everyone has and May's reactions are making Pyrrha feel quite a lot of it as she stares into that eye, sparkling with mischief and amusement. Pyrrha had thought she would be angry, or even possessive of her girlfriend under the attention of someone else. The best Pyrrha would have hoped for was unthreatened certainty. Amusement was not expected. "Why aren't you-"
"Angry?" May interrupts, turning her attention back to her diminutive girlfriend. "Why should I be? I have good taste, and Ruby is a treasure. Not just in how cute she is, but her attitude and caring demeanor. She has a massive heart and I admit, I'm more than a little greedy taking up as much of it as she's willing to give me. Still, no matter how much she cares for me, there's like this…" May acts out with her hands for a moment, "untapped well of joy she saves just for everyone around her, from friends and family to complete strangers." May says, waxing poetics about Ruby in such a way that it's immediately obvious to Pyrrha just how in love with the shorter girl May already is.
"I always knew others would notice. Want her for themselves. Maybe even try to seduce her. I know there's a chance of it happening. Just like I know that Ruby is way too loyal to give into any of it while we're together. Ruby would never hurt anyone like that intentionally. So I'm not worried and I don't have any reason to act like a jealous, insecure girlfriend. My biggest worry is her getting lonely while I'm gone and breaking things off because of that." May explains before shrugging, blinking as Ruby collides with her, bringing the sniper to the ground with a huff.
Pyrrha watches on as the little reaper assures May that it won't happen, nuzzling her face into May's neck while the older girl blushes as bright as Ruby's cape. Apparently, she hadn't noticed when Ruby paused in her shooting to listen in.
Pyrrha feels the laughter bubbling in her chest and can't hold it in as she lifts a hand to cover her mouth, stifling her giggles as she watches the couple devolve into a touching, and likely private, moment.
Neither of them seem to notice Pyrrha anymore as she moves to the booth and adopts the prone form May suggested. It takes her a moment to get comfortable before she lifts Milo and aims down range, already noticing the difference. If her rifle had a little better range she could absolutely see starting a fight with Grimm from this position before getting up close and personal.
With her concentration focused on the targets in front of her, she doesn't notice when May and Ruby stand up and start observing her themselves, muttering softly back and forth before falling silent.
Pyrrha just finished helping clean up the range, pulling the targets down and sweeping away empty cartridges too deformed to be reused as they are. The stand having been set back at it's usual height and placement as she waves to Ruby and May, leaving before heading for the weapon lockers.
She takes one last look around before noticing the bag of empty cartridges she came in with, once more left behind by May, having apparently forgotten all about them. She considers running after the pair for a moment before simply smiling at the bag and picking it back up again to take with her. 'There's always next time, Pyrrha.'
~RR~
Ruby waits until they're alone before her impatience becomes too much to bear and she turns to May, sighing as she sees her girlfriend looking back at her expectantly with that knowing smirk on her face. It only makes Ruby want to clam up entirely to rob the older girl of the pleasure of seeing her getting antsy. But there was more than just Pyrrha to talk about now, and Ruby knew if she didn't get on the other topic soon, May might just shrug it off as unimportant. May always does that when there's something she doesn't want to worry Ruby with.
She did it a lot when she was in that wheelchair.
So now that they were alone, Ruby would initiate before May could shrug off what she said earlier. It was so close to Ruby's own worries anyway. "Did you mean that? About being worrying I would leave you while you're in Vacuo because I'd get lonely?" She clarifies just to keep May from playing dumb.
She can see May already trying to shrug it off and wall off her concern to keep Ruby from worrying about it, but the younger girl is having none of it as she glares as hard as she can at the older girl. It's that look that finally get's May to sigh and take a seat at one of the benches, patting it for Ruby to join her.
Ruby waits patiently for May to start, knowing that she's already past the hard part of getting May to even talk about it in the first place.
"Yes. I am worried about it. It's a minimum of two more years before I can look at moving out here so I can be nearby while you finish training. We can see each other during breaks, sure, and we can call each other in the meantime. But two years is a long time. I'll miss a lot of what you're going through day to day, and we'll both be busy with our own studies. If I'm not here when you need me to be… I'm worried you'll leave me for someone who can be." May states with a heavy breath, her eye leaving Ruby's gaze to look down at her own hands, as if she's not sure what to do with them.
'It's almost exactly what I'm worried about.' Ruby realizes, making her earlier assumption correct after hearing May spell it out for her.
"I'm worried too, but for almost the exact opposite reason." She admits before glaring at May when she gives her a slightly affronted look. "Hey, if you think I could get lonely and leave you. What's keeping me from being afraid you'll get bored of me and do the same?" Ruby retorts, and now May just looks confused. "I'm three years younger than you, and you're gorgeous. You'll be a full fledged huntress long before me and I'm sure you'll meet plenty of girls who are prettier than me or less… spastic." Ruby adds reluctantly.
"Little Red… How could I ever get bored of you? You're constantly up to something and getting in some kind of mischief. You are literally the most interesting person I've ever met. And Ruby…" She trails off, placing a hand on Ruby's cheek to turn her gaze back to the older girl, locking eyes with her.
'When did she move her eyepatch? When did I look away?' Ruby wonders, almost missing the words being said to her as she tries not to fall into those cool steel blues.
"I've never seen anyone prettier than you, I have a hard time even thinking about anyone else, other than when something about them reminds me of you. I've fallen hard for you, Little Red. And if this is what love is supposed to feel like then… I love you Ruby Rose." May says, sending a shock running through Ruby's small frame. She can feel her cheeks burning hot, even as the tears start to gather in her eyes.
She wipes at them quickly and spots the concern growing on May's face before she pounces the older girl, pushing May back as their lips crash together. A faint moan leaving the older girl after the initial surprise wears off.
'And if anyone comes by, let them watch. I don't care. May loves me.' She thinks before eventually breaking the kiss and panting before stealing another. Her tongue brushing against May's lips, looking for entrance she is granted it as she shifts to get more comfortable over top of her girlfriend. This time, she holds out as long as she can before breaking the kiss. Pressing her forehead to May's as their eyes meet again.
"I love you too, May."
She says it while panting and riding a wave of emotions she doesn't ever want to come down from, but there's a certainty harder than the metal on her scythe in the words as she stares back into the eyes of May Zedong.
They remain right there as if time has frozen just for them, until May lets out a small sound of discomfort before shifting to move Myrtle's Bloom out from underneath her. Unfortunately, the moment is broken and they both seem to realize it with a brief, bitter sadness before the meaning of it comes back to them and both are left grinning like idiots.
Eventually, Ruby let's May sit up again before moving into the older girls lap.
"So… About Pyrrha." Ruby starts, clearing her throat awkwardly. Might as well get it out of the way. "She definitely has a thing for you." Ruby says, wondering how May will take it. That far diminished dark part of her mind whispering about how much prettier than Ruby the Amazon is. Fortunately it's silenced hard by the precious moments just before this conversation.
In response, May simply shakes her head and smirks back at Ruby. "She doesn't have a thing for me, Little Red. She has a thing for us. Both of us." May counters, getting a look of surprise from Ruby. "I know, I know. I thought it was just me after the advice I gave her, and since Jaune came and asked my opinion of her in that awkward way. But when you took your turn, I caught her staring. I even baited her into admitting her attraction while she was distracted." May explains.
'Pyrrha doesn't like May. She likes… us? Like, both of us? At the same time?'
"Well… What do we do?" Ruby asks getting a shrug from her girlfriend that makes her roll her eyes.
"Whatever you want to do about it… or nothing." May offers, relaxing back on the bench they've claimed.
"What do you mean?" Ruby asks, wanting May to elaborate.
"Look, we can just ignore her attention and let her get over it on her own." May says lifting a finger before lifting a second. "We can go talk to her about it, and let her down easy. She'll be embarrassed and things might get a little awkward for a while, but hopefully she'll start looking elsewhere." She says before adding a third finger. "We can tease her until she comes to us about it on her own. Considering how nervous she is about her feelings all the time, it might even be good for her to approach someone else." She says before wrapping her hands around Ruby's waist hugging the shorter girl closer.
"She's in a tough spot, stuck between how people see her and how she see's herself. I doubt if we wait she'll ever come to us on her own, she's too considerate for that. And she's not wrong in her belief that people see her as some unreachable icon; a person so out of reach they shouldn't even bother trying." May explains from her perspective, leaving Ruby to work out the rest on her own. The shorter girl pondering hard as she relaxes into May's embrace.
May wasn't a leader for a reason, and Ruby knows this. Her girlfriend frequently more comfortable playing a supporting role, giving her opinion freely and leaving decisions up to people she sees as more qualified to make the choices. Not to say she couldn't make a decision on her own, Ruby didn't believe that for a moment, just that when she's under someone willing to listen and take her opinion into account... she's more than content to go with the flow.
"What if… What if we let her in?" Ruby wonders out loud getting a sound of surprise from her girlfriend behind her. "No, no, listen and hear me out. I don't want to hurt Pyrrha. She's super nice, like, all the time to everyone, always. So maybe we can let her in, let her see how a relationship is supposed to be. If it doesn't work out she can go and no one has to get hurt." Ruby suggests, getting a chuckle from the tall girl behind her.
"You know, I'm beginning to think you just have a thing for tall red headed girls." May comments teasingly, getting a blush from Ruby.
"Closer to pink…" Ruby mutters and giggles as May pokes her side with a glare lacking any kind of real heat.
"It's Dusky Rose. It's a real color, look it up." She says defensively and this time it's Ruby's turn to giggle as she turns in May's lap to kiss the older girl's cheek.
"Whatever you say, May." She says, the glare doesn't relent, May eventually gives up though. Seeing the lost cause for what it is as she rolls her eyes, giving Ruby a little rush of victory and a smug little smile.
"Great, now we just wait. When do you want to approach her?" Ruby asks, May leans back in contemplation.
"First round for us starts tomorrow. Let's wait until after then, at least. She doesn't need the emotional turmoil of us springing this on her to affect her game in the arena. Besides, if we're doing things your way, then I need a little time to tease her." May offers, getting a roll of the eyes from Ruby.
'Should have guessed she would want to do that. Still, at least this time it won't be aimed at me. I wonder how it looks from the outside.' Ruby wonders before shrugging, she would see soon enough if things worked out.
AN:
Edit note: Okay so I've seen some reactions to this and wanted to state it now. The pairing in the summary for the story is 100% accurate. It doesn't need to be changed or updated. I have a plan. I just need you to hold on tight and see where it all leads. I've changed this note as well to be a little less misleading than I feel it was originally. my deepest apologies.
May finally said the L-word! She's been very resistant to it for quite awhile but Ruby just has that fun way of burrowing into peoples hearts. I'm not sure anyone interested in her who has the luck of having their feelings returned would be able to hold out long. She's just that sweet. Probably why I enjoy pairing her so much.
This chapter took it's sweet time in coming to me, I actually finished it on Friday But I am forever resistant to putting out my work on weekends because it always feels like my updates get buried. So sorry for the extra wait. Now I need to work on Whiskey Rose which might take a bit more time than usual. Having a few personal issues at the moment. In any case, Next chapter of this should be tourney time!
As always a special thank you to my reviewers few as they may have been this time around. It only makes what reviews I do get all the more special to me. So thank you Sled D. Man, and Yuri-sage I really appreciate your support.
And thank you to everyone who reads, follows, and favorites my work. even if you don't have an account and just lurk in the background reading I still appreciate you a great deal. I love you all and I'll see you next time!
