When we walked inside we saw a beautiful woman, standing in the kitchen. When she walked over to us I noticed how pregnant she was.

"She's clearly an agent." My dad said and two little kids ran in and hugged Clint. "Those are smaller agents."

"I'm sorry we would've visited but were busy having no idea you existed." I said "How come we never knew about this?"

"Fury helped me keep this out of SHIELD files, keeps them safe."

"It's so nice to finally meet you all, I already know all your names."

"The rooms are all setup, you guys can choose where you want to sleep." Clint said

I looked over to Thor and saw his face, I could tell something was on his mind and when he walked out it only proved my suspicion. I quickly followed him and stopped him on the porch.

"Thor what are you doing?"

"I had a vision, and I need to know what it means."

"Thor those where just hallucinations." I said "That girl tricked you."

"This was no hallucination Kida, I will return as soon as I can. While I'm gone please be careful."

"You need to stop worrying about me so much Thor." I said "I'm not going away."

He patted my back and walked off, Steve followed him and the two talked for a little bit. When Thor flew away Steve turned to the house and stopped. He was stuck in deep thought as he stared inside the house.

"Steve are you alright?" I asked

"I'm fine, let's just get some rest."

Morning,

I woke up early to try and get into the shower first, when I walked to the bathroom I heard Bruce and Natasha talking inside. I stopped and leaned to the wall next to the doorway.

"In the red room where I was trained, where I was raised, there's this graduation ceremony." I could hear Natasha talking and I knew she was upset about something. "Makes it easier to kill, more efficient. Getting rid of the one thing more important than the mission."

"Is that why you were so protective over Kida?"

"When I met Kida when she was a baby I was assigned to protect her, she was my mission. But I grew so attached I began to see her as the daughter I can never have." Her voice clenched and I could feel her tense up. "When the Winter Soldier attacked I felt so guilty I was the one who decided to take her to the orphanage. But that night when I left her on that doorstep I felt like I was back in the red room; losing my child that never existed."

"Does Kida know about this?"

"No one does." She said "Do you still think you're the only monster on the team?"

I stepped back from the doorway and walked to my room, I sat on the edge of the bed completely shocked. I never knew that Natasha felt that way about me, especially about her past. Clint told me a long time ago to never bring it up, that what's in her past is better off buried. I felt sympathetic towards her she could take down an army, prevent genocide, save the world, and yet couldn't be given the gift of a family.

"Hey Kida-"My mind drifted off so far I didn't notice Bruce walk up to the doorway. "The shower is free if you want it next."

"Thanks Bruce"

I took a quick cold shower that woke me up and changed into tan leggings and a blank tank top, everyone met in the kitchen and had some breakfast. Everyone ate their meals in silence and some of the team left until it was just me and Clint's wife.

"So how far along are you?"

"Two months, almost three."

"Have you and Steve thought of any names yet?"

"With everything that's been happening we haven't really talked about names and baby clothes yet."

"Have you thought of any names?" She asked

"If it's a boy, maybe Howard or Nicholas."

"And a girl?"

"Maybe Helena, after my birth mother." I said "When are you due?"

"In a few weeks, and he's been kicking to try and get out." She said with a smile "Wanna feel it?"

"Feel what?"

"You can feel him kicking, here" She gently grabbed my hand and put it on her belly, it didn't take long for me to feel the small bump of his feet against her stomach.

"Wow"

"When it happens to you, it's a breath taking moment but hopefully yours won't be a violent kicker like this guy."

"I'm actually scared out of my mind to be honest, my mother died when I was a little girl and my other mother Pepper never had children. So I'm just lost and I don't know what to expect."

"Well there's really no way to know what to expect when you're having kids. There will be the sleepless nights and the messes' every day, then once they hit puberty and become teenagers is a whole other level. But it's those special moments with them that really stick in your memory and when you think about those it…makes all the bad stuff in your life disappear and you only think about them."

We both heard loud thumps, we looked outside and saw my dad and Steve cutting firewood. She left to go find Clint and I sat on the back patio, my thumb gently rubbed my belly as I thought about the future. I imagined myself holding it, my child, while Steve sat next to me and rubbing its cheek. I tried to imagine what its first word will be and the sound of its laughter. Then I thought about my mother, my birth mother and also Frigga. If she were here today I knew her smile would stretch ear to ear and she would be planning the baby shower and making its clothes.

"Hey" I looked up and saw Steve, he walked over to me and sat down on the bench where my feet where resting. "How are you feeling?"

"Fine, the more important question is how are you feeling?"

"Me? I'm not the one who's pregnant." He smiled

"But that girl, she did something to you, made you see something."

"I'm fine"

"No you're not, I can tell something is bothering you. That girl got to you."

"She just made me have a bad dream."

"What was the dream?"

"What my life would be like if I didn't freeze in the ice after the war." He said "But that's not the reason why we needed to talk. We haven't really talked about the baby since you announced it and I think that"

"Steve it's alright, we don't have to plan everything right now."

"No but I think we should at least talk about it I mean…I'm going to be a dad." He said

"Are you scared?"

"Scared but mostly excited, I'm going to be a father."

"And I know you'll be a great father."

"Cap…" We both looked up and saw Bruce. "We got a visitor."

Steve and I both looked at each other before walking into the kitchen, there we saw Nat sitting at the table with my dad playing darts. And Nick Fury, standing at the front of the room.

"Fury?"

"Good to see you too Mrs. Rogers." He said

"Why are you here? Have you found Ultron?" I asked

"He's easy to track he's everywhere, guy's multiplying faster than a Catholic rabbit. Still doesn't give us any angle on what he plans though."

"Still going after those launch codes?" My dad asked

"Yes he is but he's not making any headway."

"I cracked the Pentagon's firewall in high school on a dare."

"Well I contacted our friends at the Nexus about that." Fury continued

"Nexus?" Steve said

"It's the world internet hub in Oslo, every bit of data flows through there. Fastest access on earth."

"So what they say?" Clint asked

"He's fixated on the missile codes, but the codes are constantly being changed."

"By whom?" My dad asked

"Parties unknown."

"We have an ally?" Natasha said

"Ultron has an enemy that's not the same thing."

"How can we find him? Or her?" I asked

"I'll need to visit Oslo, find our unknown."

"Well this is good times boss, but I was hoping when I saw you you'd have more than that."

"I do, I have you." He said "Back in the day I had eyes everywhere ears everywhere else. You kids had all the tech you could dream of. Here we all are back on Earth with nothing but our wit and our will to save the world. Ultron says the Avengers are the only thing between him and his mission, whether or not he admits it his mission is global destruction. All this laid in a grave, so stand outwit the platinum bastard."

"Steve doesn't like that language." Natasha said

"You know what Romanoff…"

"So what does he want?" Fury asked

"To become better than us, he keeps building bodies." Steve said

"He wants to evolve." I said

"He wants humans to evolve." Bruce added

"How?" Fury asked

"Has anyone been in contact with Helen Cho?"

"Where is she?" I asked

"She went to the labs in Seoul, we have to get there now."

"Everyone suit up."

Everyone got their gear and suits, I went upstairs to put on my armor and felt someone grab my arm.

"Dad what is it?"

"Kida we need you here."

"Why it's just a recon mission?"

"With Ultron I know it will go sideways real quick, and Bruce can use your help at the tower." He said "For the sake of Tony Jr."

"We don't even know if it's a boy yet."

"It's still a good name." I smiled

"I'll go to the tower for you ok?"

"Thank you."

He kissed my cheek and I grabbed my stuff, Clint flew the jet to the tower first to drop us off. I kissed Steve goodbye before leaving.

"How do you feel?" He asked

"I feel fine actually."

"The baby?"

"Fine."

"Do you think you'll retire once the baby's born?"

"I don't know, I think I'll do what Clint did. Keep everything off the record." I said as I sat on the edge of the table in the lab. While Bruce was working we both heard a slight crash downstairs, we both looked at each other and I jumped off. "Bruce go into the safe room."

"But…"

"I said go"

He left and I walked to my room, grabbing my hidden sword and left. I used the reflection of the blade to see if anyone was in the room. When the coast was clear I walked in and found the source of the noise. The top window was smashed leaving the broken pieces across the floor, that's when I noticed the white stain just above the window.

"Oh my god why?" I asked myself

"Surprise!" I turned around and saw Peter in his suit before he quickly hugged me. "Thank God you're ok."

"Peter what the hell are you doing here?" I asked "Haven't you seen the news?"

"Yeah that's why I came over, I wanted to see if you were ok."

"I'm fine Peter just go."

"Kida is it all clear?" I turned around and saw Bruce. "Who's that?"

"Whoa you're Doctor Banner!" He walked up to him and shook his hand. "I read all your work on Gamma radiation it's so cool."

"How old are you?" He asked

"Bruce this is Spiderman, I met him a while back." I said "He was actually just leaving."

"Well it was nice to meet you eh Spiderman." Bruce said and left

"Peter leave now." I said "You don't understand the danger of being here."

"I saw it on the news, that giant robot fighting with the Avengers, I wanted to see if you were alright."

"I'm fine but Ultron is still out there and I won't let you get tangled up in this mess." I said "Now go home."

"What are you my mom? I'm perfectly capable of helping."

"Peter I swear to God I will throw you out that window if you don't leave." This time I grabbed his arm and walked out to the balcony. "Ultron isn't a high school bully or giant lizard, this is artificial intelligence. And it is hell bent to make mankind extinct, I will not say this again Peter. Go home."

"Uh is Ultron really big with red eyes and can he fly?"

"What?" I turned around and saw Ultron flying fast towards us, I pushed Peter away and felt the wind get knocked out of me as a metal arm wrapped around me.

"KIDA!" Peter screamed as I flew away, I could see him move through the skyscrapers to try and catch up to us but couldn't.

"Stay back!" I screamed "Stay back!"

"Time to go to sleep."

I felt the familiar burn of electricity run through my veins, my muscles contracted until my limbs were numb and rigid. I shook violently before everything went black.

~~Chapter Song~~

Red sun rises like an early warning

The Lord's gonna come for your first born son

His hair's on fire and his heart is burning

So go to the river where the water runs

Wash him deep where the tides are turning

And if you fall…if you fall

Hold my hand

Ooh baby it's a long way down to the bottom of the river
