This is a work of fanfiction using main characters from the Vampire Diaries world which is Trademarked by L.J Smith and I do not own ownership over them. The story and situation I'm creating here are a work of my imagination and is for entertainment only. I'm grateful to L.J Smith's books for without her books my characters and story would not exist.
To my dear readers and followers
I know our days are so busy and we barely have time for ourselves, but thank you for taking time to read and show interest by your reviews.
I had to share this story otherwise I would have acted it out myself in real life. Bonnie today .. The goddess Inanna yesterday and Elena tomorrow. I would have certainly ended up in a mental institute. Lol
Stephen will be in the story. We will find him in Midgard and Caroline is the princess of Alfheim.
The next four chapters that will follow will only be about the Dark Woods of Armagh. Here, you, and Bonnie will meet new characters that I have created and as you know by now the Dark Woods belongs to the werewolves. There will be no werewolf character from VD or other TV shows.
I hope you will come to understand and enjoy them as much as I enjoyed writing about them.
... Now ...please sit back ... Relax ... Read and enjoy.
Chapter 6
THE DARK WOODS OF ARMAGH
Bonnie woke up in an umber-brown, ancient forest. It reeked of age. Its woody incense was from centuries of snapping branches crashing to the forest floors and rotting silently.
She stood up disoriented and looked around her. Where am I, she asked to herself. This is not ARA' MANTH. "Mother? Damon ...
... And then she heard it. That deep haunting ballad of an ancient song beckoning her into its pulsing heart. She slowly made her way deep into the woods.
She was in awe of the size of the trees. Their knotted arms rose ever upwards, as far as the head could lift. Every sprawling tree reminded her of a watchful guardian. The dry leafs cracked beneath her feet as she made her way deeper into the woods.
She was about to take another step when suddenly she felt herself being lifted up fast and high in the air by her one leg. Her head hit against a tree branch and everything went dark again.
Bonnie opened her eyes slowly and her vision was blurry. Hanging upside down She could barely make out the things circling far beneath her on the ground. She had a throbbing headache and her throat felt dry. She was about to pass out again when she heard voices approaching. She closed her eyes and hoped for the worse to come soon. Death.
"Whatever is in our trap. I'm taking the head," the young man named Rudolph said.
"What is it with you and animal heads?" asked Amarog. The leader of the pack.
"Haven't you guys noticed? Each animal head represents a family member in his bloodline," said Wolfgang, Amarog's second in command.
That made the whole pack laugh.
"I don't care what it is. I'm starving," Vilks said. He was a big guy with a short temper.
"When are you not starving," asked Ulf. He was usually the quiet one of the pack.
"Careful now Ulf, Ruelle the peacemaker of the pack said with a smirk. You don't want to upset the big guy on a empty stomach.
Sandalio who was walking in front suddenly stopped. He lifted his hand up signalling the guys to stop. "Do you guys smell that," he asked over his shoulder.
"Yes, wildcats and something ... something I haven't smelled before." Amarog said.
"I smell it too." Rudolph said excitedly. "Smells sweet and lavenderish."
Ruelle started to smile and was about to say something to Rudolph when Ulmar, the lethal one of the pack put his hand over Ruelle's mouth. "He is right. I smell it too."
Ruelle slapped Ulmar's hand away. Get your hand off I don't know what you touched with it.
"Are we going to go see what is in our trap or are we going to stand here howling like she-wolfs. The way I'm starving I'll eat those wildcats and whatever it is I'm also smelling." Vilks said annoyed.
"See that right there proved to me that you did eat that snake, raw, I might add." Rudolph said and pointed his finger at Vilks.
Vilks made a threatening step towards Rudolph when Amarog's voice stopped him.
"Enough! Both of you." Amarog glared at the both of them. "Now let's go."
"You do agree with me, right Wolfgang?" Rudolph whispered to Wolfgang as he walked beside him.
"Don't bring me into this, its between you and the big guy." Wolfgang said with a smirk.
The pack of eight came to a clearing where they saw nine wildcats circling their prey on the ground that's dangling from a rope high up from a tree branch.
"Its our lucky day brothers, one for each and an extra one for me. I'll take the fat tiger on the left." Vilks said with a wide grin. Knife ready in hand.
"Not today." Amarog said as he looked up with a furrowed brow. He had a feeling that what ever it is that's in their trap would change the rest of their lives, but what bothered him the most was, that he was not sure if it was for the good of ARMAGH or its downfall. He made his way to the figure high up in the air. He barely noticed his fellow pack brothers following him or the snarling wildcats retreating back to the shadows in front of him.
He was like a man on sea being called by the alluring voice of a siren.
Bonnie came to her senses when she heard voices around her. An immense sadness came over her. She was in an unknown place and everything around her smelled differently. It was as if she can smell the earth in every pore of her being. She kept her eyes closed, levelled her breathing and pretended to still be unconscious.
"Soooo, was it only me or did you guys noticed how Amarog went like, I don't know." Rudolph said as he pointed a finger to his head, circled it around and whistled.
"Ulmar will you miss your brother if I snapped his neck right now?" Vilks asked and stuffed his mouth with the meat of wildcat.
"Nope, but sadly mother will." Ulmar said with a smirk.
"She is beautiful. "Ruelle said
"That's all you have been saying ever since we cut her down." Sandalio said and looked at his friend with a bit of concern.
"She is not from this realm. No woman from this realm is as beautiful as she is." Ruelle said in a daze.
"Okay that's new. You do know Lucretia will have your liver for dinner if she finds out what you are saying." Ulmar said with a grin.
Ruelle was not the only one who said that. Wolfgang thought to himself and looked back over his shoulder at his lifelong friend Amarog who was sitting by himself away from the pack, deep in thought.
"What are we going to do with her and I'm not saying eating her." Sandalio asked the question that's been on their minds.
"Keep her. We can't just leave her here." Rudolph said.
"Keep her? What if she was send to ... to seduce us to make us forget about our path. Our last journey into the brotherhood of the wolves?" Ulf asked with a blushing face.
"I'm amazed Ulf. That was the most you've ever said ever since we started this journey. She already seduced you my brother and she's not even awake." Rudolph said and patted Ulf on the shoulder.
"Get off of me. I'm being serious." Ulf said with red ears.
"Really?" Rudolph asked with a wide grin as looked at Ulf's red ears.
"Well if the Lady is here to seduce us. I'm first my brothers." Ruelle said with a naughty smile that made his features look handsomely.
Vilks cleared his throat hard and said. "Lucretia is my beloved little sister. I will eat my own hand if I have to choose between her and my hand."
"As I was saying. I agree with Ulf." Ruelle said quickly.
So there are eight of them Bonnie thought to herself. Their not vampires or humans. Wolves. Yes that's what they said. I'm surrounded by eight beasts. Bonnie thought in a panicked state.
"We will hear from Amarog." Wolfgang said and moved to the side to make space for Amarog in the circle of eight around the girl.
Amarog looked at the girl and smirked. "We cant take her with us." Amarog said.
Rudolph was the first to speak. "We can't just leave her here that will be heartless. "
"Look at her, how can she defend herself?" Ulf asked Amarog.
Ruelle thought that Rudolph was right. Ulf does have a lot to say ever since they've found the girl. Seduced. The thought almost made him laughed out loud.
"If she is human, well she can find some devious way to make a weapon and defend herself and if she is a witch she can use her magic." Amarog said and his smirk grew wider.
"True, but how will she find her way out of the woods? These woods can drive anyone crazy if you don't know your way." Ulmar said.
Wolfgang took a deeper look at the girl and immediately knew what Amarog have knew ever since they came here with the girl. The girl was indeed awake.
"Amarog is right" Wolfgang said. "Leave her here. Animals got to feed too."
Amarog quickly looked at his friend and Wolfgang gave him a wink.
Sandalio who noticed the girl was indeed awake decided he will play a long too. "Such beauty being shredded to pieces by bears and we know how bears play with their food before devouring them. If there will be anything left."
"The bears will take too long. It will be painful and slowly, but still too long. I say let Vilks finish her off." Amarog said as he looked at Vilks.
"What? Me?" Vilks called out in surprise.
"Come on big guy. If you can eat your own hand then you can surely cut her throat." Sandalio said and folded his arms in front of him with a smirk.
Vilks looked at the pack wildly.
"Don't look at me." Ruelle said with his hands up infront of him. "I was here when you said it."
"No one is touching Aldolpha." Rudolph said.
"Aldolpha?" Ulmar asked confused.
"Yes I named her. She needs a name and the girl is not her name," Rudolph said.
"And neither is Aldolpha" Ulf said.
No! No! This can't be. I have to open my eyes and looked these beasts in the eyes. I will fight them to the end before I let them eat me alive. Bonnie thought herself.
Come on Little Girl open your eyes ... open your eyes.
Bonnie slowly opened her eyes and looked at each handsome face around her. No fur or long sharp canines and no big paws with sharp claws.
"Her eyes. Look at her eyes." Ulf said in awe.
"Yes Little Girl, no beasts to see. That is what you expected to see right?" Amarog said deadly calm.
Bonnie slowly got to her feet and looked at them. Her eyes stopped at Amarog.
The guys each took a step back except Amarog.
"Where am I?" Bonnie asked.
"You know exactly where you are Little Girl." Amarog said as he took a step towards her, standing right in front of her. Their noses almost touching.
Bonnie refused to back down from him. The guys looked on in admiration.
"What I want to know is how you got here? Where are your other kind?" Amarog looked over her head to see if he can spot anyone hiding, but deep inside he knew the girl was alone.
"I don't know how I got here" Bonnie said through gritted teeth.
Amarog leaned back and folded his arms. "I don't believe you Little Girl. Take a look around you, your in my world now and my world have a way of forcing out the truth in ugly ways you can't even begin to imagine."
Wolfgang looked up at the sky that started to turn dark.
"You don't scare me Amarog." Bonnie said through gritted teeth. Her eyes the colour of a deep green forest.
Amarog felt the longer he glared into her eyes, the more he got lost in that deep green forest.
"She knows your name, Amarog" Rudolph said amazed.
"Of courses she does." Amarog said mockingly. "Little Girl has been awake this whole time. Listening to you bickering like a bunch of she-wolfs.
"We have to move Amarog I can smell rain coming." Sandalio said softly.
Amarog and Bonnie continued to glare at each other before Bonnie looked down.
Amarog smirked down at her. "Each one in this pack carries their own weight. You fall behind. We leave you behind. See if you can keep up." Amarog then turned to the guys and in a harsh voice ordered them to get ready.
