Chapter 30: An All-Powerful Genie

Following Jas and Ali's engagement party, which was halted by the sudden arrival of Jafar, Ali was banished to the ends of the earth while Jas and her father were now prisoners inside their own home which was transported onto the slope of the Forbidden Mountain replacing the Emperor Dojo that once stood there. The reason all this happened is because Jafar had stolen the Lamp of the Last Genie from Ali, who was really the delinquent teen Aladdin and not a secret Prince at all, and used it to make him the new CEO of Jas' father's company but also to become the most powerful sorcerer in the world. As a result, Merlin the Wizard attempted to stop Jafar as he happened to be in town investigating some unusual cases but Jafar's power proved to be too great for Merlin to handle. So while Jas' father was constantly humiliated by being forced to dress like a jester and move around like a puppet, Jas was chained to Jafar's cobra-headed staff wearing a red shoulder-less top and thinly veiled pants.

"You know, Jasmine," Jafar began, taking an apple from Jas' tray and eating it. "Since the Fall Semester Ball is coming up, I think it would be the perfect place to make my official debut as the most powerful man in the world."

With his free hand, Jafar turned the chains into a golden tiara that glistened.

"What do you say, my dear?" Jafar asked. "If you come with me, I could make you the Queen of the Ball."

In response, Jas picked up a cup of wine from a nearby table and threw it in Jafar's face. Angered, Jafar waved his hand causing Jas to get knocked down to the floor by an invisible force. When she tried to move her limbs remained stiff.

"I'll teach you some respect!" Jafar threatened, but then he hesitated. "No…Genie."

Nearby, a tall muscular humanoid with blue skin and a wispy tail instead of legs looked in Jafar's direction. He had black hair tied up in a ponytail with a matching chin-beard, gold bracelets on his arms, and pointy ears with gold earrings.

"I have decided to make my final wish," Jafar stated, holding the Lamp in his hands. "I wish for Jasmine to fall desperately in love with me."

Nervously, Jas watched the Genie who didn't do anything in response. Instead, he said, "Um, Master, there are a few wishes that I can't—

"Don't talk back to me, you big blue lout!" Jafar snapped, grabbing the Genie by the beard. "I'm the ruler here, while you're nothing but a slave!"

While this was happening, Jas looked up at the balcony area of the ballroom where they were and noticed Aladdin with his pet monkey Abu and the Magic Carpet beside him. When Aladdin noticed her, he pointed at the Lamp which Jafar had placed on his makeshift throne.

"Jafar," Jas said, getting his attention. She got up off the floor and placed the tiara on her head. "You know, I never realized how incredibly handsome you are until now."

This made the Genie's jaw drop while Jafar smiled. "Is that so? What has made you…change your mind?"

"Well, you're…tall," Jas said, walking slowly towards Jafar. "And your beard is so…twisted."

Stepping close to him, Jas looked over Jafar's shoulder and saw Aladdin making his way down the curtains near the stage.

"Then I take it you're no longer interested in the 'street-rat' that I banished?" Jafar said.

"What street-rat?" Pressing Jafar's face against hers, Jas forced him into a kiss.

Though it only lasted for a few seconds, it felt like an eternity. As their lips parted, Jas hid her disgust with a smile.

"That was…" Jafar then looked at Jas' tiara and noticed something reflected in it causing him to turn around. "You!"

Jas looked and saw Aladdin crouched near the throne looking dumbfounded. Immediately, Jafar sent a beam of energy from his staff which threw Aladdin against a nearby wall.

"How many times do I have to kill you, boy?" Jafar shouted, attempting to fire another shot but Jas blocked him. Unfortunately, he tossed her aside and pointed the staff at her. "Your time is up, Princess Jasmine!"

In a flash of light, Jas found herself trapped inside a giant hourglass with red sand pouring down on her. While Abu and the Magic Carpet attempted to grab the Lamp themselves, they were transformed into a toy monkey and a ball of yarn respectively by Jafar. As for Aladdin, he was surrounded by a circle of scimitars and then a ring of fire.

"Hey, why don't you fight me yourself you cowardly snake?" Aladdin cried, brandishing one scimitar he grabbed before the rest got engulfed in flames.

"Very well, then," Jafar acknowledged, stepping through the flames. "Then let's see how snake-like I can be!"

Instantly, Jafar's body changed to resemble a giant black cobra. He then wrapped his tail around Aladdin which suffocated him in the process.

"Did you really think you could beat the most powerful man on earth?" Jafar taunted, squeezing Aladdin's body tighter and tighter. "Without the Genie, boy, you're nothing!"

"Yeah, well, the Genie has more power than you'll ever have," Aladdin struggled to say.

"What?" Jafar exclaimed, causing his grip to soften slightly.

"He gave you your power, right? So therefore, he could take it away!"

Jafar attempted to say something, but could think of anything to retort with.

"Face it, Jafar, you're not even second-best compared to the Genie in terms of power!"

Sighing, Jafar said, "You're right. His power does exceed my own, but not for long."

As Jafar wrapped his body around the Genie, he let go of Aladdin allowing him to attend to Jas who was now buried underneath the sand in the hourglass.

"Listen up, slave!" Jafar announced. "I make my third wish: I wish to be...an all-powerful Genie!"

Hesitating, the Genie said, "All right. Your wish is my command."

Pointing his index finger at Jafar, a bright light flash and zapped Jafar. Meanwhile, Jas was losing consciousness as the sand choked her but the last thing she remembered was the sound of glass breaking.

Several months later, Jas and Aladdin had resumed their classes at Disney Academy with a lot of catching up to do due to their long absence so they often studied together at each other's houses. Though Jafar did turn into a Genie, he was imprisoned inside his own Lamp which was sent flying over the Forbidden Mountain by the Genie. Afterwards, the Genie restored everything back to normal including Abu the Magic Carpet and even placed Jas' house back to where it was before. Then Aladdin used his last wish to set the Genie free allowing him to travel the world, while Jas' father decided to let Jas decide who she thought was worthy of marrying. Though she still loved Aladdin, Jas decided to take things slow with him before thinking about marriage. When the Fall Semester Ball came up, though, the two were surprised to see the Genie had returned as a new student at Disney Academy under the alias Gene Lampman who became the school's PSA guy and DJ during the Ball which Jas and Aladdin attended before going on another Magic Carpet ride.
