Hello everyone! How are we?

You're being awfully quiet. How rude.

My name is fullmoonsinner, I've been your pilot for the past few years.

I've been gone for a long long time. I'm sorry, don't be mad.

First of all, thank you so much to everyone who has reviewed, favorited, and followed this story.

Every critique, every emoji, every frustration you shared with me has motivated me more.

However, it has come to my attention that many of you are unaware there is actually a sequel to this story!

It's called Fox and Feline, Reunited.

It's a touch darker than this one. I am very diligent about authors notes when it comes to violence and dark themes, but please message me if there is something you would like me to keep track of.

Thank you so much for staying with me on this exploration of two beloved characters' relationship, my adaptation of what sacrifice and wholesome, unconditional, platonic and familial love looks like. I like to think that the charm of this story is that it's not romance, it's the type of love that we all need most.

Why should romance be the only relationship that makes us feel whole?

It's not. Platonic love is unselfish, it is pure, it is gentle, it is love in it's most cosmic form.

When it's done correctly, gently, and with good intentions.

The family that you choose, your core people; you take care of them, and you love them. The point that I was trying to make when I was writing this story wasn't that Nekozawa loves Haruhi because he is imprinting his longing for the same relationship with his biological sister (although, it definitely was fun to explore that theme!)

I wanted to make a point that you can take care of your friends needs. You can be their rock. Your significant other and your family do not have to be the only great loves in your life.

Platonic love is unselfish, it is respect, it is kind. Your core support system matters just as much as your significant other.

And if you don't find strength within your family, you don't have to feel ashamed to find it in other places.

I truly believe that friendship, the family that you choose, is one of the highest and purest forms of love.

This story means so, so much to me.

And I am so glad that it means so much to all of you as well.
