Dance For You
Chapter 4
I own nothing but my OCs.
A/N: Guess who's back and better than ever! It's been a while since I've update( 2 years to be exact). I know that's a long time but life happens. Along with writers block kept winning and I let it tag along. I'm going to try to update this and if you follow my Unthinkable, the next chapter is in the works. I'm going to stop rambling but enjoy!
"Christina, I'm home!"
A set of hazel eyes shoot open. "Mommy!" Christina yelled, throwing her blanket to other side of her bed. She quickly ran out and into her moms arms.
"Janet, I literally just finally got her to sleep." A woman said, coming from kitchen. Her features resemble little Christina, only she has brown eyes.
"Sorry, I just missed my baby girl." Janet replied, holding her daughter close. "Maybe we can have a slumber party!?"
Christina smiled, "Can we have ice cream?"
Janet nodded , "We sure can!"
"Yay!" Christina screamed
Janet looked over at her sister, and could feel the irritation . "Christina, why don't you go pick out a movie for us to watch."
"Okay." Christina skipped away to her bedroom. As she skims the collection of VHS tapes, an adult conversation could be heard.
"If you actually missed her, you'd actually show up when you were suppose to."
"Chill the fuck out, Gina. A couple coworkers wanted to hit up a bar after work." Janet said.
"You got off at 8 and it is now almost 1 in the morning. I have work in the morning!"
"You can still make it home to sleep and wake up for work." Janet said, nonchalantly.
"Not the point! Your daughter refused to sleep until you got home. So while you're out with your little friends, she looking for you to put her to bed."
"I'm here now." Janet chuckled.
There was a small silence, "Are you high right now?!"
Janet laughed, "You've got to be kidding me?"
"Janet!"
Janet groaned "So I did a line or 2. No big deal."
Silence again. It lingered longer than before. "You are a piece of shit. Your child is looking for you because she wants you to put her to bed and you're out here doing cocaine!?"Gina yelled.
"Fuck You Gina! You don't know what I'm going through!"
"Obviously I don't if you're going out doing drugs instead of being home with Christina!" Gina argued.
"Get the fuck out!"
"You're only hurting Christina-"
"Didn't I say 'Get the fuck out!'?" Janet yells, opening the door.
"Good show ladies, see you next week enjoy your Sunday." Bernie said, leaving the dressing room.
Christina begins taking off her makeup, her favorite part of the night. She pulls off her eyelashes then continues to remove her eye makeup.
"So Chris what are your plans for the rest of the evening?" Marie asks, leaning against Christina's vanity with her arms crossed.
Chris shrugs, "Probably sleep since tomorrow it's my day off and I need to catch up on much needed sleep."
"Or you can come have a drink or two with me at a bar. You just finished a long week of exams and we need to celebrate. It's also been a while since we've gone out together."
"Marie as fun as that sounds-"
"Come on! One drink!" Marie pleads. "After you can go home and enjoy that bed of yours."
Christina sighs, "Fine, but one drink only."
Marie pushes herself away from the vanity with a smile on her face. "I'll meet you outside." She said, walking towards her own vanity.
"I can't believe I got you to go to a bar with me." Marie chuckled, taking a sip of her drink.
"Well, it's only one drink and it'll help me sleep." Christina said.
Marie lifts her glass, "To finishing your exams and working your ass off so you can get out of that club."
The two friends tap glasses then sip out of their drinks.
"By the way how much is this drink?"
"Don't worry about it, it's on the house." Marie assures.
"How?"
"Well when our show end and we're closed, most people come here after. So he treats us to a free drink."
Christina shrugs before taking another sip. She glances around the bar and notices a set of familiar blue eyes.
"Who are you staring at?" Marie asks, trying to follow her friend's gaze.
"Biker guy is here."
Marie's turns to face her friend, "I heard Kiara wants him." She said.
Christina chuckles, "Explains why she got upset about me dancing on him."
"Look at you stealing a girl's man." Marie teases.
Christina laughs, "It was just a dance though. It's not my fault that he really liked my dance." She said.
"Well now Kiara has no chance."
"Once again, not my fault." Christina said, taking the last sip of her drink. "I'm gonna grab a water then head out after. Want anything from the bar?"
"Before you drink water, take a shot. I'll buy." Marie insists.
"Marie, I should be heading home."
"I know but just take a shot with me. After we both can drink water, then head out." Marie said, handing Christina a 20.
Christina walks up to the bartender, who was cleaning a dish out. "Can I have 2 shots of Jack and 2 waters?" She asks, placing the 20 down for the shots.
"I got it." A familiar voice offers.
Christina shakes her head, "I can pay." She said, pushing the 20 towards the bartender.
"I insist. Besides, you're gonna need help bringing all of that over there." He said, handing the bartender money. "Keep the change."
"Thank you." Christina says, placing the bill in her pocket.
"No problem beautiful." He smiles at her.
Christina rolls her eyes as she grabs 2 glasses. "This way lover boy." She guides him back to the table.
"Brought yourself a male friend but didn't bring me one." Marie teases.
"Well, I needed help and he was there. Thanks again."
"Name is Jackson but everyone calls me Jax."
"Well, I'm Marie and you obviously know Christina who also goes by Chris." Marie said.
"Why don't you ladies come join us over there?"
Before Marie could answer, Christina stops her. "We're gonna take these shots and head out after."
"Come on, Chris. We can sober up with them and drink our water." Marie begs.
"After you finish your water, I'll walk you to your car." Jax offers.
Christina looks at Marie, then sighs. "Fine," she said. "But I don't need you to walk me to my car."
Jax smiles then grabs their glasses. "Follow me." He said.
The two women follow Jax as he makes his way to the other side.
"This is Marie and Christina, they'll be joining us this evening." Jax said, letting the women get in the booth first.
"If Kiara saw us right now, she'd lose it." Marie whispers to her friend.
Christina nods, "Cheers to that." She said lifting her shot glass. The two took the shot.
"Ladies ready for another shot?" One of the members asks.
Before Christina could answer, "hell yeah." Marie said.
Christina takes a sip of her water then grabs her keys. "I'm actually going to head out. It's been a long week for me and I need to catch up on some sleep." She said.
"Party pooper." A different member said, others agreed.
"Chill, it's her only day off. Let her relax." Marie said. "Call me when you get home and I'll do the same."
"Okay, love you." Christina said, before making her way out the bar. Once the door opened, the cool air hit her face. Felt nice compared to the semi-crowded bar.
"Hey little mama."
Christina turns around to see a tall man standing by a car. "Not interested." She said, before turning her head to walk towards her car.
"But what's a fine little mama like yourself doing out here alone?" The stranger asks, following Christina.
"Minding my own business, now can you leave me alone sir. I'm just trying to get home." She said, final reaching her car.
The stranger grabs her wrist and spins her towards him. "What can I do to get you to be mine?"
"Leave me alone." She said, trying to remove her wrist from his hand. Christina goes to punch him, but he grabs her other wrist.
He pins her to the car and presses his chest against hers, "I like my women feisty." He said, letting the smell of booze creep into Christinas nose.
"Get off of me!" Christina yells.
"Baby it's only gonna be a minute or 2." The stranger said, trying to hold a fighting Christina.
"Get off of me!" She screams.
Before stranger could say anything else, he was greeted to a punch in the face. Another punch came after causing him to lose his balance.
"Get lost!" Jax said, pushing the stranger in the opposite direction. His blue eyes look at Christina. "You okay?"
Christina nods, "Yeah." She said. "Thank you."
"Next time I'm walking you to your car." He said.
Christina let's out a small laugh, "No arguments there." She said. "Definitely owe you one."
"How about you let me take you out?" He suggests.
Christina looks at him and laughs, "You don't know what 'No' is, do you?"
He laughs, "Not really." He answers, staring into her hazel eyes.
Her smile fades. She looks down at the ground then at his blue eyes. "You seem like a really nice guy, but I really don't-"
"Just one date, then I'll leave you alone." He said.
"Jax-"
"Please, just one." He said.
She stares at him for a moment then sighs. "I'll think about it." She said.
Jax smiles, "Fair enough."
