Defense Force command
3:00 AM
Blu, Jewel, Bia, Carla, Magnus and the Tiagos stood in the Rio Defense Force command center.
They had just learned that Nightfly had attacked Frozen Fjord, Ga'Hoole and St. Aegilious.
Blu stared at a TV monitor, with Eduardo and Roberto on the other side.
Eduardo was able to call them thanks to the computers in the tribe's war hollow, but that's besides the point.
"Wait, you want us to go to Africa and fight some living god?!", asked Roberto.
Blu shrugged, "Yep, I need you guys to get the macaw tribes, and as many birds as you can. Once you do, come to Rio and we'll figure out the best stronghold to defend the last stone".
Eduardo nodded, "Alright, we'll be in Rio by week's end. Bye guys".
The TV cut out, Blu sighing and walking outside, into the moonlight.
Jewel followed Blu, "Honey, what's wrong?".
Blu looked at her, "Jewel, what if we lose. It's game over. If Lai won, the rest of the world would be safe, but now".
Blu looked at the ground, "Well now if we lose, the world is basically fucked".
Jewel hugged Blu, "don't worry, my love. We've beaten gods and power hungry maniacs before, this'll be a breeze".
"Not if he gets the stones, and keeps killing my friends", Blu now had tears forming, "Soren first, then Lukhas, nearly my son. Who's next? Rafael? Nico and Pedro? Alex? Zain? You?!".
Jewel wrapped her wings around Blu, "Don't worry, Blu. I'm not going anywhere".
Blu returned the hug, "I sure hope so, I'm nothing without you".
"Same feeling here my lovehawk".
The 2 walked back inside, where Tiago was chatting with Ruby through the monitors, "Oh, my poor Tiago. Thank god you survived".
The 4 Tiago's smiled, though their metal faces barely showed it, "Thanks babe", they said unanimously before chuckling.
"Okay, we need to designate someone to talk for us, so it doesn't seem like a scene from The Conjuring in here", said bow Tiago, stifling a chuckle.
Sword Tiago raised 3 feathers, "I volunteer as tribute", Mace Tiago then mimicked the whistle from Hunger Games.
Ruby chuckled, "It's good to see that my loving Tiago is still the same, even when he's a robot. Also, have you tried becoming one entity again?".
The Tiagos shrugged, "We've had other things on our mind, like being dead".
Ruby nodded, "Oh, I have some good news".
"What is it?", asked the Tiagos.
"I joined the army, I'll be there fighting right beside you".
"WHAT?!", yelled the Tiagos, "Babe, if this fucker dispatched us and my dad with ease, he'll tear you up. Please stay home".
Ruby did not waiver, "Nope, I want to fight for my world and fight with the love of my life".
Tiago relented, "Oh alright, but this is only because I count on me and my brothers to protect and help you during the fight", Ruby did a little fist bump in the air, "YES, I'll be there soon".
The Tiagos said goodbye and ended the call, Jewel and Blu watched it all.
"*sigh* they grow up so fast, don't they Blu?", said Jewel, happy to see Tiago talk with his girlfriend.
"I agree Jewel, our little baby's all grown up", replied Blu, smiling.
"Let's hope this world lasts long enough to see those 2 get together", said Jewel, "You mean those 5, Jewel?", added Blu who was chuckling at his clever joke.
"Ha, ha, very funny, Blu", she cooed.
"What can I say, love. I'm a funny bird", replied Blu while pulling Jewel close to him.
Magnus walked up to the macaw couple, "Hey, Blu. Can I see you outside, now please?".
Blu nodded and followed the robotic macaw outside, the night sky slowly fading into a bright dawn.
"alright Magnus, what's the problem?", Blu asked, slightly annoyed.
"Blu, the Russian Ice Claws are under attack," Blu went wide eyed before Magnus continued, "I want you and the Tiago's to come with me to help defend the stone there", said Magnus.
Blu nodded, "Tiago! We're going to Russia, now!".
He saw mace Tiago lean out the door, " 'kay dad".
Mace Tiago ran to his siblings, "Guys, we're headed to Russia to fight Nightfly".
Sword Tiago laughed, "let's see him deal with Superion".
"Hell yeah brother", said Bow Tiago who now fashioned a laser bow.
Magnus and Blu walked up to them, Magnus using his nanobots to fashiona portal gun.
He shot it into a wall, causing a green portal to form (with the rick and morty sound effect), "alright, let's go", said Magnus who casually jumped through.
Jewel ran up to Blu, "What's going on?".
Blu shrugged, "The aerialbots and I are going to Russia to fight a living god".
Jewel hugged him, "try not to die my lovehawk".
"Nightfly should worry about that", said Blu before jumping through the portal.
"Bye mom!", declared the Tiagos as they transformed and cruised straight through the portal.
"Bye guys", whispered Jewel before the portal closed.
Kamchatka
Eastern Russia
Blu landed on the snowy ground, instantly getting up to see Magnus staring blankly over the crest of a hill.
Magnus was absolutely still, Blu was exceedingly worried for his friend.
He quickly flew next to Magnus, "Magnus, you okay?".
Magnus had a face of horror, before pointing over the hill.
Blu looked to see a battlefield, silent.
There seemed to be a wooden house on fire, several burnt wings sticking out of it.
The forest was in blazes, blood quenching some flames.
There were dead everywhere, the citadel that had housed the infinity stone was destroyed, the stone gone.
"What happened here?", asked Blu while surveying the carnage.
Kamchatka
3 hours earlier
(String Quartet Tribute song to play: Wanted Dead or Alive)
3 crows were patrolling the woods, their guns gleaming in the moonlight.
The lead crow looked to another, "Эй, лев, как жена?", (Hey Lev, how's the wife?) he asked.
Lev shrugged his wings, "Зима была тяжелой для нее и наших яиц, но она такая же красивая, как и всегда. Почему ты спрашиваешь Брета?
", (Winter has been hard on her and our eggs, but she is still as beautiful as always. Why do you ask Bret?).
The first crow, named Bret, shrugged before looking to the crow on his left, "Йозеф, как твоя одержимость с воином Блю?" (Josef, how goes your obsession with the warrior Blu?).
Josef sighed, "Я сказал вам, Брет, это не одержимость. Я смотрю на него, я имею в виду, что он самый великий воин. Говорят, он ростом 3 фута, и он может снимать огненные шары от своего эбака и освещать его задницу" (I told you Bret, it's not an obsession. I look up to him, I mean he's the greatest warrior ever. They say he's 3 feet tall, and can shoot fireballs from his ebak and lighting from his arse).
Bret and Lev looked at Josef, giving him a 'you just proved our point' kind of look.
Josef sighed and looked ahead, spotting a shadowy figure.
"Товарищи, что это впереди?", (Comrades, what is that up ahead?), asked Josef.
His question was answered when the creature impacted Lev, sending the crow tumbling towards the snowy ground.
"ЛЕВ!", (LEV!), screamed Bret who dove after his friend, shooting the dark creature with his gun.
The dark creature was revealed to be an Underling, still clawing at Lev who tried to fight back.
Lev managed to get the barrel of his gun into the Underling's mouth, before blowing it to kingdom come.
Lev recovered midair, "Josef! Предупреждать деревню! Мы захватим захватчиков!" (Josef! Warn the village and guard the infinity stone! We'll hold the invaders!).
Josef nodded and flew back to his village, and the infinity stone's citadel.
He bobbed and weaved through the trees, before he arrived to a set of miniature wooden huts and trees surrounding a stone castle like structure.
He began screaming, "INVADERS!".
This got everyone in the village scrambling to save their chicks and gather their belongings.
The men grabbed their guns or swords to prepare for a fight.
Sparrows, crows, owls, hawks, falcons everyone was going to try and defend their homes.
Lev and Bret watched as their friend escaped, before the air was filled with darkness and energy.
They turned around to see, Nightfly and his legion of Underlings.
Nightfly grinned, his infinity stones shining in the moonlight.
"Hello boys, seems you have a situation on your hands", said Nightfly, evilly.
Lev used what little english he knew to reply, "And what might that be?".
Nightfly looked at Lev, his eyes now a rainbow color thanks to the stones, "ME".
In an instant Nightfly had shoved his wing straight through Lev, the crow coughing up blood as Nightfly grabbed his spinal cord and ripped it from the black bird's body.
"ЛЕВ!", screamed Bret who now opened fire on Nightfly, the shots bouncing off the spix macaw's armor.
Nightfly threw Lev's spinal cord at Bret, letting Lev fall to the ground with his blood freezing almost instantly.
Bret dodged the bone flung at him and continued shooting at Nightfly.
Nightfly chuckled as he walked up to Bret, not even feeling the bullets.
He used his talons to grab the barrel of the gun, crushing it into nothing.
The spix then grabbed Bret in his other talon, pushing the crow down to the ground.
Bret tried to fight back, but the 4 infinity stones Nightfly had were to much for him.
Nightfly chuckled before using the power of the stones to start cooking Bret.
Bret's skin and feathers cracked, lines of rainbow energy spewing from the cracks.
His eyes went black as the energy flooded his system.
Bret was having a shaking seizure, blood leaking from his beak and eyes.
He soon stopped moving, his body going limp and his breathing coming to an abrupt stop.
Nightfly smiled as he walked away from the mauled Bret, "Now, there is a stone that I need. So let's get going".
His Underlings ran and flew ahead of him, to invade and begin the battle.
Nightfly's armor made him slower than the other birds, but it was worth it for the power he got from the stones in it.
Nightfly continued walking through the woods, until he came across the village and citadel.
His Underlings were crushing the small force of defenders there, the ground already littered with the corpses of owls and crows.
Nightfly didn't even have to fight, he just casually strolled through the fight, his Underlings keeping away all the defenders.
He continued walking up to the citadel, that was locked down.
None of his Underlings had been able to break through the fortress, the guards had kept them out.
Nightfly heard the sound of bullets bouncing off him as he neared the door of the citadel.
The sound became more rapid as the defenders tried to keep him away.
But their efforts were futile, Nightfly reached the door and put one wing to it.
In seconds it collapsed, Nightfly's powers being too much for it to handle.
Inside the citadel were some guards, who were dispatched with absolute ease, and an orange stone resting on a pedestal.
Nightfly casually grabbed the stone, before putting it into his left wing slot.
He now wore the green stone on his head, the blue on his left talon and yellow on the right.
The red stone on his right wing and the orange stone on his left wing.
All that remained was the heart of power, in Africa.
He honestly should just go there and take it now, but he had already concocted a plan.
His agent had not sent word of the joining of forces yet so he had time to spare.
Nightfly turned to some Underlings, "Gather the women and children into the largest, wooden, home and line the men up outside".
The Underlings nodded and left, the sounds of battle seemingly ending.
Nightfly smiled, his eyes glowing brighter than before, and standing at an impeccable 3 feet in height.
Nightfly chuckled as he stepped out into the snowy outside, his breath becoming mist in the air.
He surveyed the village, the surviving men were lined up on their knees, Lev's mutilated corpse lying on the ground, and the women and children were being 'escorted' to the largest home in the village.
Nightfly walked up to the line of men, looking at one particularly angry snow owl.
The owl looked at Nightfly, "what are you going to do to them?", he asked while gesturing towards a female snow owl and her chick in the line of those being lead to the house, they were his wife and child.
Nightfly chuckled, "well, I don't want them to catch a cold out here, and I want them to feel some *snicker* warmth tonight", he said this last sentence while being handed a molotov cocktail by and Underling.
The snow owl went wide eyed, "No, please no!".
Nightfly smiled, "too late".
The last person entered the house, before the Underlings began boarding it up.
Some Underlings poured oil around the house while Nightfly walked in front of it.
Nightfly cackled as he prepared to throw the cocktail, "Never defy a god!".
He watched the improvised explosive soar through the air, until it hit the wall of the oil soaked house.
Instantly the flame spread from the outside to the houses interior, the screaming of those inside being heard through the silent night.
Mothers cradled their chicks as the flames continued to spread, engulfing them.
Fathers watched from the outside as desperate wings banged against the door and barricades, most wings sticking out before going limp.
Chicks cried as the flames torched them, ending their short lives.
The mothers cried out the names of loved ones before too succumbing to the raging inferno.
The screams began to die down with the dying rate of those inside.
Nightfly smiled as the house slowly fell apart before turning to the men.
"Now, I assume you'd like to be with your loved ones?", he asked, but getting no answer.
He sighed before sticking his wing out and firing a laser at a nearby raven, who was knocked back by the blast of energy and slumped over, dead.
Nightfly smiled before aiming at the next bird in line, and so he did until every bird in the village was dead.
After the last bird fell did Nightfly decide to leave.
His men went through the portal to the Himalayas, with Nightfly following.
Nightly looked back to see a new green portal forming behind a hill.
"You're too late this time, Blu", he whispered before going through the portal and closing it.
