Himalayas
Underling Temple
Nightfly inhaled the fresh mountain air of the Himalayas.
The spix macaw was smiling, his plan was working.
His spy had reported that all the armies of the world were converging on Africa, he had managed to persuade Blu into a one-on-one duel to the death he had no chance of winning and he got to obtain the Wing of Odeus before committing genocide on the Russian Ice Claws.
Nightfly was currently in front of the Underling temple, hordes of the beasts pouring out of the portal.
An Underling walked up to Nightfly, "sir, the army currently stands at 400,000 strong. Are we to bring more?".
Nightfly shrugged, "Bring us up to 500,000 strong, then we'll head to the last stone".
The Underling nodded and flew away, presumably to convey orders.
Nightfly grinned, "soon, Blu. Soon you will walk onto the field of battle to face me, but never walk off".
Nightfly then stood up, "Now, let's see if my agent has said anything".
As he was walking he looked in the direction of Rio, "Oh, naive Blu. If you honestly think i'll let those you love live, you're dumber than you look".
Rio
Training grounds.
The stands of the soccer pitch were filled with soldier birds, watching 2 of the best warriors around fight each other.
Alex dodged an electric fireball, before sending a prototype jet back at his attacker.
"C'mon, Blu. Gotta get better than that if you want to beat Nightfly", declared Alex to Blu, this last one dodging the prototype jets.
"I know, old friend. It's just, there's so much on my mind. It's hard to focus", returned Blu who sent 4 darkness tentacles to Alex who dodged 2 but got hit by the other 2.
Alex hit the ground but quickly got up, "what do you mean?".
Blu sighed, "well, chances are I'm going to die against Nightfly, so there's that. Also the fact that he committed genocide without a second thought and killed Lukhas. There are so many he has defeated, entire armies, I mean. What kind of chance do I stand?".
Alex walked up to Blu and rested his wing on him, "a damn good one, pal".
Blu looked at him, "you sure?".
Alex nodded, "Because the owl say so!".
Skyler walked up to them, "What if you guys do that fusion thing? You know, become Alu".
Alex looked at the elf owl, "That could work. Blu?".
Blu nodded, "well, lets try fusing now and seeing what powers I get".
Alex agreed, glowing white before fusing with Blu.
Blu grew in height, his feathers turned white, his wings turned black and red and his talons transformed into owl talons.
"I'm back!", yelled Blu, who now descended to the ground.
His wing flaps were as silent as an owl's, meaning that no one could hope to hear him.
"Alright, it appears that the one who initiated fuse is in full control of the body. So that's interesting but let's check powers", said Blu who now stretched a wing and aimed for a dry tree about 100 feet away.
He fired a black and red electric fireball, crackling as it travelled through the air.
The fireball hit the tree, obliterating it and sending cinders and wood everywhere.
"OH. MY. GOD! Did you see that?!", asked Blu excitedly, prompting a nod from Skyler.
"Let's see what else I can do", said Blu before making 2 wingblades.
The blades were black and red with a blue glow and electricity cackling off it, "This is shocking", said Blu who was grinning wildly.
Skyler made a scythe and charged Blu, "show me what you got, blue boy".
Blu quickly blocked the scythe, "with pleasure, Skyler".
Blu pushed Skyler back, swinging downwards.
Skyler blocked the strike, quickly managing to claw Blu's leg.
The macaw's leg bled, Blu wincing before he flew into the air, "THUNDER CLAP!".
Blu clapped his wings together, sending a huge, blue and black, shockwave out.
The birds in the stand felt the blast, being kicked backwards.
"Oh crap", murmured Skyler before being hit.
Skyler's tiny body was sent across the pitch, bouncing along the turf until she came to rest.
"Uh, god that hurt. But holy crap you're powerful!", said Skyler, who was standing up.
Blu flew to the ground and landed, splitting into Alex and himself.
"Yeah, but it seems that whoever initiated the fusion suffers any damage taken", Blu said this while looking at the cut on his leg.
Alex jumped up, "well, let's get you fixed up and continue training".
"Actually, the darkness is helping me out" said Blu, his wound instantly healing.
"Well, in that case let's get some other guys out here to fight you, you're going to need practice", said Alex.
Blu smiled, "let's do it".
Later
"DARKNESS SHIELD!", Blu threw up a shield just in time to block 2 streams of flames.
Rico and Zain were currently taking on Blu, and were doing ok.
Alex and Skyler sat on the sidelines, watching the fight with the rest of the birds.
Several soldiers were betting on a victor, most betting for Blu to win, while others had gotten drinks and enjoyed the brawl.
Back with Blu, our hero took down his shield and sent 2 electric darkness tentacles out.
Zain dodged the tentacles, but Rico got wrapped by them.
The electricity shocked the hawk, causing him to pass out.
Rico fell backwards and didn't get back up.
Zain got into his dragon mode and flew upwards, to the sky
Once at a good height he ignited himself, his body covering in flames.
"Nerf this blue boy!", yelled Zain as he dived down.
"Zain, we're both blue!", yelled Blu but Zain didn't hear, he just continued with his move.
"FLAMING ANGEL!", Zain threw his wings out, stopping his descent, but his flames continued.
The earth around Blu scorched as Zain's flames continued on, Blu quickly figured out a way to fight back.
Blu flew above the flames, "LIGHTNING WHIP!", he yelled.
A blue beam of energy appeared in his talons, a whip.
Our hero began trying to whip Zain, this last one dodging the strikes, "C'mon, Blu. I expected the world's greatest warrior to be stronger!".
Blu made the whip disappear, "TAZE BLAZE!".
He sent forth a stream of blue fire, Zain returning with his own beam of fire.
When the 2 beams met a huge explosion occurred, shaking the earth.
Alex and Skyler covered their ears and eyes, the shockwave knocking them both back.
When the smoke cleared, it revealed a winner.
BLU!
Blu had won the match, Zain staggering back to his feet in bird form.
"I gotta *wince* say Blu. That was fun", declared Zain.
"I know, right?", replied Blu, grinning at his power.
Alex and Skyler walked up, "Great job, Blu. But let's see you take on someone a bit more powerful".
The ground seemingly shook, all eyes turned to one end of the field, to Superion.
"Hey, Blu", greeted the titan, "Whaddya say we go a few rounds. YOU AND ME".
Blu smiled, "A classic father vs son fight, bring it on".
Blu prepared his powers, snake heads popping out of his shoulders, dark tentacles from his back, he glowed blue and his lightning tattoos glowed.

Blu charged, Superion returning the favor.
Superion was many times Blu's size and could easily crush him, but Blu was strong.
Superion swung downwards, intending to hit Blu, but this last one flew up and dodged the strike before kicking Superion's head.
Superion didn't flinch, he just swatted Blu away.
Our hero recovered and charged again, managing to grab Superion's head.
While holding on he pushed forward, causing the metal titan to fall forward.
Blu got off at the last second, a huge cloud of dust being kicked up.
The titan stood back up before regaining balance, "well played, try this", Superion clapped his hands together, causing a huge cloud of smoke to cover the air.
Blu was blinded by the dust, allowing Superion the chance to attack him.
Superion could see through the smoke, thanks to his scanners and enhance vision, and send effective strikes to Blu, who now fell to the ground.
"How do I fight someone I can't see?", murmured Blu before getting an idea, "electricity!".
Blu summoned his lightning powers, "ELECTRACK!", he yelled before sending a beam of lightning through the dust.
Due to the laws of physics the electricity honed in on Superion's metal body , causing the robot to shake and fall.
The sound of several tons of steel falling wa sheard as Superion fell backwards and onto the ground.
Instantly, the titan split into his parts before attacking Blu.
Bow Tiago fired several shots into Blu, but he just blocked the projectiles.
Spear Tiago grabbed Mace Tiago and used his spear like a pole, driving it into the ground and vaulting upwards.
Mace Tiago let go of his brother and dived at Blu, the older macaw noticing him.
Blu quickly sent a low energy electro fireball at his robotic son, shocking and incapacitating him.
Magnus fired several low energy laser blasts at Blu, who dodged them and sent a darkness tentacle to him.
Magnus tried to block it, but was overpowered and knocked down.
Sword and spear Tiago charged their father, with Blu casually blocking sword Tiago's strikes with his wings and kicking spear Tiago away.
Blu used his viper head to grab sword Tiago's back and slam him into the ground, knocking out the robot (I have no idea how he got knocked out).
Rico walked up to Blu, "Nice job, you can rest for now but later, once the Amazonians arrive, we'll head to the Heart of Power".
Blu nodded and flew away, back to his hollow.
Along the way, the 2 spirits in his head began to talk to him.
"Hey guys", said Blu, listening to the Darkness and Blue phoenix in his head.
"Greetings, Blu", they replied, "We need to talk".
Blu nervously answered, "Okay?".
Blue Phoenix started, "Blu, don't do it".
"What?", "You heard me, don't fight Nightfly or you'll die".
Blu shrugged, "And if I don't everyone else will die".
"But you will suffer?!", said Darkness.
"Yes, but those I love will get to live", Blu flew faster, ending the conversation with the voices in his head.
Blu saw his hollow, he also saw Jewel sleeping in it.
Our cerulean friend landed on the branch and walked in, his eyes quickly adjusting to the darkness.
Blu slowly walked over to one end of the hollow, where a wooden chest sat.
Upon reaching the chest he opened it and looked at it's contents:
A brown cloak,
A pair of metal battle claws,
A metal face mask
And a metal helmet, decorated with art of him defeating Lai.
Blu used his talon to grab the helmet, before dropping it and closing the lid at the sound of his wife's voice.
"What do you have there?", she asked while trying to see.
Blu tried thinking about an excuse, but found nothing.
"You caught me", declared Blu who now revealed the chest of weapons.
Jewel peered in, "You're going to wear that?".
Blu smiled, "Yup, if it's armageddon I'm going to look my best. I also want to have as much chance of beating Nightfly as possible", Blu now frowned at his last remark.
Jewel kissed him, "Don't worry my love, from what I hear you've beaten everyone you've trained with so you should be fine".
Blu gave a weak smirk, "I guess you're right my gem of the jungle. I did just beat Superion so I should be fi-" "YOU FOUGHT OUR SON!?".
Blu gave a nervous smile, "Heh heh, yeah. I was going to tell you about that".
Africa
Heart of Power Citadel
Several factions had already arrived to defend the stone, the Pure Ones and Guardians had come first.
Following them were birds from around Africa, Asia and Europe, right now the force was about 100,000 birds strong, but not enough.
There were tensions between the Pure Ones and Guardians, often resulting in brawls and arguments.
The local birds had to break up the fights while simultaneously building defenses and making weapons.
The morale in the camp was low, but leaders were sure it would rise with the arrival of a certain spix macaw, Blu.
The bird didn't know it, but across the world he was regarded as a legend.
From Minnesota to Shanghai, birds had heard of the macaw who beat gods, and they admired him for that.
One bird who admired him was Josef, who had arrived the day prior with an extra 70,000 birds to their force.
Josef was currently relaxing in a tree, watching the sun go down.
"Должен сказать, здесь намного жарче, чем в России" (Gotta say, it's a lot hotter here than in Russia), declared the crow, gun in wing.
He admired the way the beams of the setting sun stretched along the ground, the way the wind rustled the leaves of the tree.
"Ах, это жизнь" (ah, this is the life), added Josef, now closing his eyes to nap.
He was just about to doze off when a portal opened behind him, "For god sakes, what you wa-?".
Hundreds of hawks, falcons, eagles, crows, sparrows, you name it were walking or flying out of the portal.
Leading them was a hawk, with amber eyes and a cowboy hat.
He had a rifle slung across his back, as did most of the birds arriving with him.
The lead hawk looked at Josef, "Hey, lad. Where's camp? My boys are tired and hungry".
Josef pointed to his left, "That way comrade. Oh, what is name?".
The hawk shrugged, "M'names Finn", before leading his men to the camp.
"Finn? Do I know him?", murmured Josef before settling back down for a nap.
Rio
Blu POV
Well, this is it.
I stand here, Magnus's portal opened in front of me as I wait, the sounds of 130,000 birds cheering behind me as they ran through the portal.
I could see only the portal out of my helmet, I felt only the cold metal of my battle claws on my talons, and could feel the warmth of my cloak wash over me.
I felt a wing rest on my shoulder, I looked to see Jewel smiling at me.
I smiled back, "ready?", I asked my wife to which she nodded.
I exhaled and jumped through the portal, and to what is probably my doom.
"Be ready, Nightfly. I'm coming for you".
Woo-Hoo, down to the last couple chapters!
