Ok, so I got some really awesome reviews from you guys. I've never been told that I'm a 'good writer' or anything like that; so to hear it from you guys just makes me feel awesome and inspires me to continue to give good chapters. And thank you for constructive criticism; I am always welcoming of it. And ideas for the fic.
A reviewer asked if Pitch would pretty much fuck (excuse my language, I usually hate that word) Genie. I don't know yet. Is he capable of it? I believe so. But we'll see which direction I make this go. Until then, just enjoy the story.

Disclaimer: I do not own Rise of the Guardians at all…..I bet a bunch of us wish we did though.
In no time at all, I finished Jack's book. I've always been a fast reader. This is what I've gathered from what I read.
Jack 'died' at the age of sixteen and will remain in that physical age for the rest of eternity. He joined the Guardians about 300-400 years after his new 'birth'. The first half of the book was how Jack's life was like before he died and his years alone playing pranks on people. The second half was about him joining the Guardians to stop Pitch from plunging the world into darkness.
I guess Jaime really was telling the truth about helping them. That's my brother.
Back to my thoughts of analysis, Jack spent his whole 'human' life growing up in a small village with his mother and his younger sister. His father was often away for unknown reasons.
The village seemed to have been stuck in a constant state of winter; according to this book, it snowed almost every day. Jack came to absolutely love the cold, even going as far as to step out of the house without shoes or socks; that's crazy!
He was known as a prankster, always playing games and pranks on close ones, making it hard for others to trust him; sounds like the boy who cried wolf story; I wonder if that's where they got it from.
His life was pretty normal until one day when his little sister asked him to take her skating on the close by frozen river; or at least, they thought it was frozen. It was pretty brittle towards the middle, where they happened to be skating. His poor sister froze in terror, afraid to move a single inch.
Jack knew he had to help her somehow. Quick thinking, he was able to deduce that the dull blades at the bottom of the skates were what caused the ice to crack. He grabbed onto a wooden staff close by…..wood staff…his weapon! Oh cool, now I know how he got that.
Anyway, he saved his sister by pulling her towards a stable spot on the ice, never noticing the ice beneath him cracking.
So he died by making the biggest sacrifice ever, saving his younger sister.
So is this why he feels he needs to protect me 24/7?
Crap, now I feel horrible, I practically yelled at him. He just wants to make sure nothing bad happens to me. I mean, I am being chased by the boogeyman, every child's worst nightmare.
I tossed the book towards my luggage and lay down onto the bed, placing my right arm over my eyes. I guess I've finally had the epiphany that North wanted me to have; and it gave me a bit of a headache.
I slightly understand Jack a bit more. He's naturally protective of the people he's close to, and I'm now one of them.
Great, now I'm mad because I was proven to be the one at fault. I have to be the one to apologize now. This sucks because, like most girls, I hate to be the one to apologize.
After lying down for a while and clearing my head to get rid of the dull ache, I started to debate whether I should start reading Pitch's book. It seemed to be calling out to me every time I look over at my luggage.
I kept looking out the window to see if Bunny is heading back over this way. He never did tell me when he'd be back. But he does seem like a gentlemen and he would never enter a woman's place without knocking…..right?
I'm going to go with my guts.
I placed Jack's book onto the bed and went over to my luggage to pull out Pitch's.
"Ok Pitch, let's see if this explains to me why you're so creepy."
"Genie!" My guts were wrong. He didn't knock and the door was being pushed open already.
I quickly threw the book back into my bag and closed it; I jumped backward to hopefully land on the bed; I missed it by an inch and landed on the floor instead.
"Sorry but North called a meeting for us Guardian so I…" He paused at his entrance upon seeing me on the floor.
"Welcome back!"
"Why are you laying on the floor?'
"I was…doing…. sit-ups!"
"Really?"
"No, I fell of the bed." I could see him trying to hold in his laughter.
"Be more careful." He entered the cabin fully and placed a basket onto the table before coming over to help me up.
"I was saying that I have to go to a meeting but I knew you'd be hungry. I gathered some vedgies from my garden to hold you over."
"FOOD!" I latched onto his arm in excitement. "Even if it is vegetables, I won't be picky at the moment. I'm starved." With one hand, I reached for a carrot and started to munch away.
"So what's up doc? What's the meeting for?"
"Don't know. Better prepare myself for the cold though." I felt him shiver a bit; I guess thinking of the snow made him nervous.
"I know how you feel. I never adjusted well to the cold either. I remember last Christmas when we were taking photos for our Christmas cards; I didn't have any long sleeve undershirts so I had to wear my strapless dress in the cold. I thought I was going to die from frostbite."
"Blame Jack for that then." He patted my head before heading back out the door.
"Thanks for the veggies. Bring me back a bologna and cheese sandwich!" I yelled out to him.
Once I was sure that he was gone and I gobbled some carrots and celery, I decided to now read Pitch's book.
I got it out from my luggage and got back into my position on the bed. My curiosity was building up with me each second that book was in my hand, what was Pitch like before he became "The Nightmare King."
I wasn't able to keep this encounter with Pitch a secret from the group. They needed to know that I messed up and gave away our plan. I asked North to call them over so that I could let them know. No surprise that at the end of the story, they all gave me the same look: disappointment.
"Yeah, I know. I shouldn't have let him get to me. You guys can stop looking at me like that."
All of us stood around the fireplace at North's workshop, all in deep thought of what our next move would be. North remained silent since the whole meeting began. He just kept his back towards us, staring completely into the fire. I wonder what's going through his head.
"He'll go after her family now." Bunny spoke up.
"Can't we do anything?" Tooth, for once in her entire career, was not giving instructions to her fairies for the teeth.
"Maybe we can put up a protective barrier around her house?" Sandy imaged his idea. That honestly didn't sound like a bad idea to me.
"Not my bowl of rice." We all, excluding north, gave Bunny a puzzling look. They've known him longer than me and they are still not used to his Australian slang.
"It would only work if they stayed locked up at their home." He continued.
"I'll make it snow." I moved towards a window with my staff pointed at it. "I can do that. I'll give the city the biggest snow storm they've ever seen. It'll force a shutdown"
"And keep them locked up for how many days mate? We can't keep them prisoners."
"Wouldn't it be better than leaving them open and vulnerable?!" This wasn't helping at all.
I started pacing the floor; my emotions are starting to get the best of me. Thinking about Jaime, Genie, Pitch, the situation, all I want to do right now is scream.
I jammed the end of my staff into the floor and let shards of ice shoot out from the tip. A new power of mine that only seemed to work when I'm really frustrated.
"Jack!" North's fist punched the brick around the fireplace. I let the staff from my hands to the floor. No staff in hand means no powers; I don't need it right now anyway. "You need to calm down. It's action like this that scared Genie into changing warrens."
"What does her going to Bunny's warren have to do with my emotions?"
"Your anger is getting best of you. You out of control."
"Well, look in the situation we're in. I gave everything away. I know Pitch can't get her because she's with us but now her family is in danger. If anything were to happen, she would never forgive me."
The whole room went silent.
"Tooth, Sandy, you two better go now."
"Are you sure?" Tooth spoke.
"Yes." North didn't give them any explanation, and they didn't need one. Both disappeared off to their duties while I remained here with these two.
"You don't have to say anything. I let out all my anger. I'm good now."
"I doubt it." Bunny placed his hand onto my shoulder.
"Do you not trust me mate?" Whoa, that question caught me off guard.
"What?"
"Are you upset that Genie is at my warren?" Truth be told, yes, I am a little bit angry. But he doesn't deserve it.
"You're doing your job as a Guardian. You're protecting her. Why should I be angry? It's not like you guys don't know about my crush on her." North grabbed onto my other shoulder. "I've always watched over it, since the first day I saw her. It didn't matter where she was or went, and it didn't matter if I only saw or heard her for a second, I always feel peace when I am around her."
Seems like I looked out the window at the first time, I can see someone coming in from the horizon; I can't tell if it's Bunny or not. He's the only one, besides the other Guardians, that can come down here.
This time, I sat with my face looking out the window to keep an eye out. That meeting ended faster than I thought.
The book was already back inside my luggage, I only got about three fourths of the way through. To say the least, I'm highly shocked at what I learned. But I'll get back to it later. Bunny's almost to the door.
I went over to open the door to let him in, but my guest wasn't my furry bunny.
"Jack?" He seemed to be avoiding eye contact. He was swaying back and forth with one hand behind his back. Should I be the first one to say something? "What are you doing here?" Well, those weren't the words I wanted to come out of my mouth. "I'm…"
I started off my sentence but was cut off by him shoving a plastic bag towards my face.
"I'm sorry for being a jerk and for being clingy and for seeing you naked that one night. I brought food, please don't be mad." He said all that in one breath.
"…sorry?" I was about to ask him to repeat himself until I smelled the delicious aroma coming from plastic bag. "Is that pizza?"
"Good think we let Jack go visit her, he needed it." After Jack left, I invited Bunny into the kitchen to enjoy some hot milk and cookies.
"Reckon!" I noticed that Bunny has barely touched his milk. He seems to be lost in his thoughts.
"Bunny, is something wrong?"
"No mate." He kept his answers short. Something is bothering him, I can tell. I kept giving him the eye, hoping it would let him know that he better start talking.
"Bunny."
"North."
"Bunny."
"All right, I'll tell you but you can't tell Jack."
"Cross my heart." I picked my cup up to take a sip of my milk.
"I've started to have feelings for Genie." I spit my milk out from shock, Bunny was now drenched in it.
"What?!"
"She's such a dag, it's adorable. I know it's bad." He moved from the table to get a towel near the sink and started to dry himself off of the milk.
"Bunny, if Jack finds out, he'll never trust you or any of us again."
"This is why he won't find out." He placed the towel in the sink and took his seat back at the table. "Keep your lips closed." I nodded at him.
Great, now I have to deal with two of my Guardians crushing on our guest. Man in Moon, why did she have to be it?"
"Enough talk about me, what else did the bloke up there say to you?"
"How did…"
"He always talks to you during meetings. I 'm thinking he knows more about Genie than any of us know, even Jack"
"It true. You've noticed that Genie is no ordinary human."
"You mean besides her being an adult and still being able to see us?"
"There is a reason behind that also. Man in Moon has told me that Genie is meant to be new Guardian."
Well, there you have it. My next chapter. Once again, I stayed up after 2 am, why do my best ideas come at this hour? Anyway, Thank you guys so much for the awesome reviews. Keep sending them in, they make me feel good and inspire me to write some more. I hope you liked it!
