Chapter LIX: Days of Our Lives

Last Time.

"Bekka is going back to New Genesis to face her past. Diana will be going with her as well as-!"

Menma stopped as Lex appeared beside them in a hover chair and wearing a blue body suit.

He explained he wanted to see other Universes after growing bored of this one and wanted to help Wonder Woman fix her world first. He gave Superman a spherical device with all of his ship's memory files and explained that even if his real father destroyed Krypton, Superman should use their tech to help Earth.

He then left with the woman after creating a portal for them to leave.

"Oh, Menma. It looks like your date's arrived." Batman said bringing up a screen showing Kimiyo in tight black jeans, strapped high heels and a dress shirt unbutton to show her cleavage and the top of her red bra.

"Oh, right." Menma said before leaving to met her.

Up above, a breeze blew having several leaves fly past Angelique's cross as two more sat beside it with 'Will' and 'Tina' on them.

Now.

Washington D.C. Seven A.M.

"I want you... to help me bring down the Justice League!"

A General pointed at a group of people in front of his desk.

The first is a woman wearing a gold bikini styled suit with a green cape, high heeled shoes, and green visor sunglasses.

The next is a man in a radioactive suit.

Beside him is a man with a blue cape with black trunks and boots

The next person is a man who looks like Uncle Sam with a small man sitting on his shoulder.

The last is a man in a gold full body suit and cowl.

"Beggin' your pardon, General Mendenhall, sir... But the Justice League's done a lotta good for a lotta people! Heck, some of us have even served beside 'em... Why would the Freedom Fighters want to get in their way?" Uncle Sam asked holding onto his hat.

"Because the Justice League operates on American soil without American sanction or permission. They're not answerable to any Government." Mendenhall replied sitting down.

"That doesn't make the Justice League a threat, General…" Phantom Lady trailed off before Human Bomb picked up after her.

"Yeah, they operate in the best interests of all humanity!"

"You would think so, wouldn't you…?" Mendenhall said as an older man in uniform turned on the TV. And showed the fight between Superman and Marvel,.

"I don't suppose you remember Justice League members thrashing Lexor City…?

He then showed Cadmus blowing up.

"Or the Justice League's fusion beam destroying a Government installation… And nearly the entire city?"

They then showed the Thanagarian invasion.

"And I'm sure I don't have to remind you of the direct involvement the League had in the Thanagarian Invasion?"

"Hey! My kid's a League Member! They saved Earth from the Thanagarians! And that stuff with Lexor City and the Cadmus building was a frame-up!" The Ray shouted as Black Condor put a hand on his shoulder.

"Easy, Ray..."

"I'm not calling your son a super villain, Ray… But all of those events showed us what the League's capable of, if left unchecked! We don't know what they're doing up there. And that makes them a possible threat to this nation!" Mendenhall said getting Uncle Sam to sigh.

"I don't know, sir… Takin' on the Justice League don't seem right..."

"I'm not asking you to take them on, Sam… I'm not asking you to throw a single punch… I just want you to bring back the Watchtower's computer logs without the League knowing. Those logs will tell us if the League is really on our side or not. And it'll allow us a way to reverse engineer a way of tapping into their logs in the future." Mendenhall explained standing up in front of a large American Flag.

"No one wants to believe the League is made of Heroes more than me… But if there's even the slightest chance they're not backing the Stars and Stripes… Don't you think we should know?"

The Freedom Fighters left the office as the older man switched jackets with the younger man revealing he's the General who had the younger man pretend to be him so he wouldn't get in trouble.

Watchtower, A Few Hours Later.

"Uncle Sam! Haven't seen you in ages!" Superman yelled out to the Freedom Fighters minus Doll Man.

Kage looked up from the monitor he was looking at and raised an eyebrow as he felt an uneasy emotions coming from the other hero team.

He walked over before stopping by the Atom and got his attention. "Someone's in the console." He whispered having Atom nod, then shrink.

"So why are you really here, Freedom Fighters? I know that there's someone inside our console presumably stealing data."

Atom suddenly appeared flying into Superman having a fight between the two teams. Gypsy turned invisible and attacked Phantom Woman as Uncle Sam attacked Green Lantern. Bomb Man took off his glove and touched Superman.

BOOM!

And had an explosion come off his hand sending Superman back.

"That tickled." Superman said walking out of the smoke unscathed. He then went to the controls and disabled the teleporters, having the Freedom Fighters explain they were ordered by a young General to steal the logs.

"The only Mendenhall I know in the Army is close to sixty!" Green Lantern said having the Freedom Fighters, Naruto, Superman, Green Lantern, Green Arrow, Gypsy, and the Atom go arrest the General.

Later, Uncle Sam looked out at the Earth, focusing on North America before Superman came up and explained no matter what happens, America will always need Uncle Sam.

Watchtower; Trophy Room, A Few Days Later.

Kage, Wonder Woman, and Vigilante were cleaning their trophy room filled with weapons and other items from the villains they defeated.

"Hey, Wonder Woman… What's this one?" Vigilante asked holding an hourglass on a chain.

"That hourglass was a device used by the Time Commander… A man named John Starr. It allowed him to travel through time, trying to change the past, or conquer the present with weapons he'd steal from the future." Wonder Woman explained putting a large gun on a podium.

"Vigilante, it's nice of you and Elongated Man to help us clean the Trophy Room. But it'll go faster if you didn't ask the history of every item." She said as Naruto placed a katana on another podium.

"Sorry, Wonder Woman… just trying to get to know the League a little better, y'know? Goin' from Greg Saunders, Cowboy Stuntman to Space-Hopping superhero is a mighty big jump!" Vigilante said looking at the hourglass that be brought up to his eyes. "Starr, huh? Seems to me there's somethin' about a Starr in the family history… HUH?!"

Vigilante yelled out as Elongated Man stretched inside with brown paper bags.

"Lunch break! Who had the turkey…."

Crack!

Elongated Man stopped as the hourglass broke when Vigilante was startled having a vortex suck the heroes in.

"Here we go again." Wonder Woman said as she was sucked in.

Oklahoma 1880.

The group landed in a desert before Naruto dodged a laser blast. Looking back, they saw Jonah Hex, El Diablo, and Bat Lash with a young man that looks a little like Terry McGinnis (1.)

They riding horses trying to outrun a group of men with laser rifles.

"Jonah, Diablo, Bat!" Naruto yelled as they helped with dealing with the men as Naruto explained they were here before during another time travel escapade. After getting the group to retreat, the group explained to the Justice League that the young man Jud Saunders was suddenly attacked before they ran into them having Wonder Woman quiet Vigilante from telling anything to his ancestor.

Elongated Man walked to the rifle having Wonder Woman snap her fingers.

"Of course! Vigilante! You said your family had some involvement with someone named Starr, right?"

"Yeah… Why?" Vigilante answered before Wonder Woman continued.

"When the hourglass in our time was destroyed, the Time Vortex brought us back in time to when the hourglass was in use… As this one was when it was used to acquire this future weaponry! And if there's a version of this hourglass here, then we have our way home!"

"It's time travel. It's complicated." Naruto answered before looking around. "Too bad I didn't know about this. I could have brought Abby back home. Let's get the Time Commander!"

Later, the League and riders camped out to come up with a plan and conversed. Suddenly, they were attacked by the men, now in armored flying suits before easily taking care of the group. Just then a man in white pants glove and hooded cape fell down. He looked up showing a purple mask, and leotard. Naruto walked over and crossed his arms as Jud revealed that he stole the hourglass.

Later, after returning the weapons to their rightful time, The League with Time Commander went back to the time where he was in jail before returning home.

The Watchtower, Present Time.

The group landed back in the Trophy Room where Vigilante put the hourglass back in its case.

"Careful Vigilante." Naruto said walking over, hand around Wonder Woman's waist.

"Yeah, thanks. Funny ain't it? How we lost your hourglass and kind of-sort of got the same one back."

"Yeah. Time travel cases have their way of working out." Wonder Woman said. "And you, Greg? Do you feel more like a superhero than a cowboy now?"

"Shoot, Wonder Woman ain't no reason I can't be both… After all… Cowboys and superheroes have run in my family for a long, long time!"

Smallville; Naruto's House, A Few Days Later.

Naruto slammed Galatea against the wall as he made out with her.

She had her legs and arms wrapped around him wearing only red panties with 'Naruto's Girl' on the ass in black.

He moved to place kisses on her neck and collarbone getting her to moan before she started to float up having Naruto kiss the top of her cleavage, under her bare breasts, and her muscular abs.

"(Moan!) Yes!" She yelled as he kissed her belly button and reached her panties.

"Kage!"

"(Groan!) What?" Naruto asked hearing J'onn over his ear piece.

"Gypsy needs help."

"OK." Naruto said getting Galatea to pout.

Smack!

She blinked as Anko appeared beside her and grinned as she smacked Galatea's ass. "Don't worry, lover boy will be back soon."

Naruto moves to Anko before pulling her in for a chaste kiss. "You're coming too."

"What?! It's my day off!"

"The U.N. is having the Global Defense Summit later today. You chose to be the Ambassador."

"I don't wanna!" Anko whined childishly as Naruto grabbed her by the waist and pulled her along. Tugging on her legs each time she grabbed a door frame and whined.

And leaving a very turned on Galatea who rubbed her thighs together to try and stop the heat she was feeling.

"(Sigh!) Maybe I should find Mei, she can help me with my problem." She said floating down and walked down the hall into Mei's room.

New York City, Harbor.

Kage, Captain Atom, the Atom, Flash, Supergirl, Atom Smasher, Mr. Terrific, Aztec, the Ray, and a very annoyed Snake appeared in front of Gypsy Woman who was fighting masked men with laser rifles.

"Stand dow-!" Captain Atom was interrupted by Naruto.

"Just go!" They all started attacking before one man yelled out to them.

"Cease your attacks! We have a legal deed to this property!"

Atom took the paper as Naruto looked at it with his glasses scanning it.

"Gypsy, you know-!" Captain Atom was once again interrupted by Naruto.

"Shut it, Atom, you don't get to talk to her like that."

"What the hell do you mean?!"

"Even if it was faked and you thought you were in the Military, you did leave the League once you attacked Superman and I. So you are now new. She's your commanding officer. Plus..." Naruto saw the men leave. "That document was forged, the signatures were printed onto the paper, hard to tell as it looks like the ink dried."

The Watchtower.

Kage and Gypsy was looking through the records of the group that were there and claimed they have rights to be there. "Epsilon Holding..." Naruto said looking at the screen of connected business. "Wait... Henry 'The Bank' Deacon? He's suspected of being in a group of business men that use fronts to bankroll supervillains and other gangs!"

"So let's get them!" Gypsy said standing up.

"Let's get more clues so we can put him away."

United Nations New York.

Kage and Gypsy landed in front of the League fighting off giant robots that started to fall down after they took out the men controlling them several blocks ahead. Naruto patted Gypsy on the shoulder as they went to help clean. "Like one big family, huh?"

A Few Day's Later; Metropolis Metro Tower.

In the skyscraper that acts as the League's Earth HQ, Kage was sparring with Shayera in the large dojo room.

"Classic stance, or Hanmi. Drop your hips." Naruto said holding his arms out in front of him as he stood sideways facing Shayera who did the same. "Now, imagine a line from the top of your head down through your shapely hips, between your feet to the center of the Earth."

"It's a wingless version of Thanagarian Hir-Koruk. Position Six." Shayera replied before Naruto suddenly swept kicked her, grabbed her arm, turned, and threw her to the padded wall.

"It isn't."

Shayera, on her knees, glared at Naruto before flying over to him. "HAAHH!" She pulled her feet to her chest as she flipped to have her feet face Naruto. "EUHHH!" She yelled kicking him with her left leg. Only for Naruto to block with his arms. She then brought her right around to kick Naruto's head. "HRRAH!" Only for Naruto to duck and then mule kick her back as she turned from the force of her kick.

She landed on er face as Naruto got up and walked over to his girlfriend. (2.)

"More training, less hitting."

"Yob shiggurath..." She said in her native tongue as she grabbed her lovers right hand. And focused on the grey line around his arm underneath the elbow.

"Waddaya say, Kage? Wanna avenge some fallen pals?" Naruto heard a Brooklyn accent before looking to see a brown haired man in a grey rain coat.

"Fallen pals? Explain yourself. Starting with how you got in here!" Shayera yelled at the man as she got up.

"It's Jim Corrigan." Naruto replied looking at Jim.

"Corrigan? The Spectre guy?" Shayera asked as Jim shook his head,

"Not exactly. Deadman, in Corrigan's body. Here, I'll get him out and let him explain." Jim said before glowing and shook his head.

"(GUH!) Kage?" Jim asked without the accent. No one seeing a bald ghost in a dark red tight daredevil costume with a 'D' on it in a light red.

"Deadman took me over, huh?" Jim asked before continuing to speak. "The Spectre musta slipped his leash or somethin'. On account of some disturbances in the spirit plane. Usually I sic him on crooks, then reel him back in before he throws a nutty, you know? Now, not so much. Old Chalk-Face is set to 'Serve his judgment' on every crook in the world!"

"I'm lost. Deadman's still in the room?" Shayera asked Naruto.

"I'm not on solid ground myself… Dr. Fate!" Naruto yelled in his com as Deadman look weary.

Suddenly, Shayera glowed as she groaned. "That's the first thing Corrigan and me tried… Then I called Zatanna. Got her machine." She said in a Brooklyn accent.

Naruto sighed at that as Deadman picked up Shayera's mace. "But the spirit plane is where I live. And I got a neighbor powerful enough to stop a berserk ghost."

"Let's go." Naruto said grabbing the mace.

"We don't 'Go' we concentrate and kinda wait..." Deadman said as they did that and disappeared after a moment.

"See ya." Jim said as they disappeared.

Spirit Plane.

Kage and Shayera looked to see an astral projection of a woman's face as a solid Deadman floated above them.

"Guys, this is the Spirit of the Universe. Rama Kushina!" Naruto blinked at the woman that had the same last name as his mother's first.

"I'm the spirit of 'What the hell?' Shayera asked looking around at the nothingness of the plane.

"Rama Kushina this is..." Deadman was interrupted by the spirit.

"I know you all as the desert knows the grains of sand. And yes, I shall prevent the Spectre's rush judgment. Long have I distrusted this entity. Revenge disgusts me. Kage, through all that you've seen, your soul remains brilliant and pure."

"I don't know what you're talking about." Naruto said trying to steer the talk away from his life.

"You must show me. Open your mind to me."

Naruto sighed before reliving his parents death, his childhood, Sasuke's defection up to the Fourth War and finally, their fight.

Naruto started to grunt as sweat came down his forehead and then fell to his knees.

"Your physical being is of no concern. I have seen enough of your spirit. Remarkable, neither vengeance nor revenge moves you… But it is justice that you seek. Not a wrong for a wrong. Rather a world that knows no wrong." Rama said as Shayera tossed her mace up in the air, and grabbed it like a spear with the ball facing the front.

"If you hurt him, this mace is going right up your nose!" She yelled as Deadman grabbed her mace.

"Cheezit! She digs him."

"Fierce child, have a care. Your Nth-Metal is remarkable, but it only disrupts magic, not Rama Kushina, the very Universe."

"Are we done here?" Naruto asked opening his eyes.

"The price is paid. This ONCE my laws will bend. A SPIRIT will possess a spirit." Rama said as Shayera looked in confusion.

"I don't get it." She said as Deadman floated down to them.

"'Sarright Feathers, I do."

"Deadman will take over the Spectre spirit to get him under control." Naruto replied before they disappeared.

Metropolis Metro Tower.

"What'd I miss?" Jim asked as Deadman took Shayera over again.

"Only the whole stinkin' key to the whole thing. Some detective."

"KAGE! Where were you? We got three down!" Mr Terrific said over a TV.

"Coordinates? Mr. Terrific?"

Bell Reve Louisiana.

Kage shot an arrow that wrapped around the hand of a pale man in green gloves, shoes, trunks, and a hooded cloak who had a group of prisoners tied.

"Beware Jim Corrigan, lest you be judged!" The Spectre said as Deadman hit him with Shayera's mace. "I'm goin' in. Tell the bird girl her Nth-Metal crud really works!" He said before jumping into the Spectre and took him over.

In a few minutes, Deadman undid everything Spectre did while loose before walking to Naruto. "Kage, we good? I know Mama Rama plays a little rough sometimes." Naruto shrugged before walking away without a word.

Shayera walked up to him as Wonder Woman, who was turned into a candle helped the police with the criminals. Suddenly, Dr. Fate appeared and explained that Tala hexed the spirit plane and caused the Spectre to go "haywire".

"We saw what you saw." She said to Naruto who looked to her. "I saw that you've got a soul made out of Nth-Metal."

Smack!

"And you have an ass made of it." Naruto said after he smacked her ass.

1. Yeah in the tie in comic, Vigilante's ancestor looks like Terry from Batman Beyond.

2. For anyone who doesn't know, Shayera and Galatea are the only ones not engaged to Naruto at this time for obvious reasons.

I'm going to try for 1 more comic tie in Ch. as we're in the last 13 episodes for this story and I don't want to focus on it so soon after finishing one.. So I may just focus on this when there's only 5 chapters left.
