Sorry for the lateness of these updates, combination of being super busy over the holidays (More so than normal.) And this site being down at random times, as well as my internet too.

But I hope I made up for it with a double update for all my stories minus my One Piece stories, and a triple update for Ninja on the League for the 1 million views!

Chapter LXI: I Am Legion.

Last Time.

After helping put the fire out, Power Girl looked off to her left and grabbed Naruto. "Hey! What's wrong?"

"Another explosion."

They flew for several miles and saw LaRoque in an armored suit attacking the blonde haired man and his wife who had short blonde hair wearing a blue jacket and a black skirt. Naruto dropped down onto LaRoque and pulled him out of the suit before bringing him up close.

"You're going to call your employer and tell him that Drake Swanson and his wife are dead. Or you will be."

LaRoque nodded before Angela ran up with a notepad. Naruto sighed and told her to say that Drake and his wife disappeared to keep them safe.

Later, Naruto picked up a newspaper about the ordeal before smiling and put it back on the table.

Now.

Metropolis, Night.

Lex Luthor in orange coveralls was driving the police van he stole as several policemen followed after him.

"What?!" He asked looking to his right to an empty seat. "I know! I'm going as fast as I can!"

He drove around the streets before turning into a drainage system, slid sideways, and flipped the van several times. He got out and limped towards an alleyway before coming to a dead end.

"Luthor!"

Lex looked back to see the police pointing their guns at him. "It's over!"

Suddenly, an arm wearing a dark orange glove and light orange sleeve came out of the wall, and pulled Lex through.

BANG-BANG-BANG-BANG!

The officers opened fire on the wall before one halted them, walked over, and felt the solid wall.

Louisiana, Lex Luthor. (1.)

Lex rode on a hover bike with the man who saved him who was dressed in an orange bodysuit with a helmet showing most of his bald head.

They stopped by a swamp having Lex get off.

"Here we are, Mr. Luthor." The man said. "Our Benefactor is looking forward to meeting you."

"Does this mystery man have a name?"

"No reason to be insulting, Lex." The two looked to see Gorilla Grodd walking to him. "I'm far superior to any man."

"Grodd." Lex said walking to the gorilla. "I appreciate the help. But gratitude only goes so far. I'm not interested in working with you, or anyone else."

"I think you'll change your mind..." Grodd trailed off bringing a white remote up and pressed a button. "Once you see what I have to offer."

Suddenly, a large dome like building shimmered into place.

A large door opened up showing every villain the Justice League has ever faced.

Metropolis; Justice League.

Kage, Hawkgirl, Superman, and Aztec were looking at the wall that Lex went through as a Javelin was floating above them.

"Why would you even try to move a prisoner that dangerous without calling us?" Hawkgirl asked the warden who was bringing up his cell phone.

"Maybe we thought we didn't need any help from the mighty Justice League."

"And yet, here we are."

"OK Shayera, what's done is one." Superman said as Naruto placed a hand on his lover's shoulder. "Let's see if we can pick up his trail. Aztec?"

Aztec looked at the wall before putting his hand on the spot that Lex went through. As the League looked at the wall, King Faraday, the agent that looked over Steven Mandragora's case, walked up showing his badge.

"The wall's sub molecular integrity has been compromised."

"Leptons showing residual weak force interaction?" Hawkgirl asked crossing her arms under her chest.

"Yes, how did you know?"

"It's a common energy signature of matter phasing technology." Naruto replied standing behind Hawkgirl. "I'm guessing it doesn't leave a trail?"

"Not a chance." Hawkgirl replied over her shoulder. "Maybe Aztec can-"

"You guys want some coffee?" Faraday said getting their attention. "Because apparently, I got nothing better to do here."

"Sorry. We got caught up in our work." Superman said looking at the man who raised his hand. "Special Agent King Faraday. I'm the new liaison between the Attorney General's office and the Justice League."

Aztec took the offered hand and shook it. "Good to meet you, I'm-"

"Aztec. I've been well briefed on all of you. Security on Lex was lax. He hasn't made a peep since the Brainiac incident last summer."

The warden walked up to continue after Faraday. "He's a broken man. Just sits in his room muttering to himself."

"When he's not stealing police vans." Hawkgirl said getting Naruto to wrap an arm around her shoulder, and pulled her over to kiss her head.

"Easy, dear."

"That came out of nowhere. We had no reason to suspect he was an active threat."

"Do what you can. Put out an A.P.B. Stake out airports, train and bus stations." Faraday said getting the warden to nod.

"Already done. For whatever it's worth."

"If he's sighted, don't engage. Call the League for backup."

"My people can handle Lex." The warden said getting Faraday to put a hand on his shoulder.

"No. Your people are good. But Lex is better." Faraday said before looking to the heroes. "And if you get a lead on him. I want to know."

"Of course."

Louisiana, Legion Of Doom.

Grodd brought Lex inside and explains that his organization is a sort of 'co-op' for supervillains; Grodd provides them shelter, and allows them to organize teams for their own independent jobs to protect each other from the Justice League, in exchange for a cut of the take.

"And you do it out of the goodness of your heart?" Lex asked as Grodd looked to him.

"I get 25% of the take. So far it's working perfectly. So far the League doesn't know we exist."

"I have to hand it to you. This is an impressive operation. But we're still not interested." Lex said referring himself in the third person and turned to leave.

Grodd grabbed Lex and turned him around. "See now, that's a problem. You're much too powerful a player to be out there freelance."

"Don't worry about the competition… I'm out of the business." Lex said pulling his arm free.

"Really? Then why bother to escape from prison?" The gorilla asked smiling. "No… You still got the spark, Luthor. I see it in your eyes, the spark of a man that can't be bound by society's petty restrictions. Besides, nobody who plays the game at our level ever quits."

Lex just looks to his right when Grodd finishes. "Oh, you got that right." He said getting Grodd to look surprise. "Completely missing the point."

"Luthor?" Grodd asked getting Lex to look at him.

"You think you understand me? That you actually have anything to offer? For a brief moment I attained absolute knowledge. Godhood! And it's all gone."

"You melded with the computer being known as Brainiac. And at your moment of triumph, the Justice League destroyed him. Tragic." Grodd said before holding a fist up and placed his other hand on Lex's shoulder. "Now, there isn't a single piece of Brainiac left. Except, of course… for this one."

Grodd opened his hand revealing a metal object with Brainiac's 'V' symbol.

"Give it to me!" Lex yelled reaching for the piece.

Only for Grodd to pull it back. "Salvation comes at a price, Lex. First, you do something for me, then you get your precious rock."

"Do whatever he asks."

Lex looked to see Brainiac standing beside him. "My entire program resides in even the smallest part of me."

"I could reconstitute you. Bring you back to life." Lex said as Grodd looked at Lex with a raised eyebrow as he saw nothing there.

"Yes. We could be together again."

"Alright, Grodd. I'm in." Lex replied looking at Grodd.

Metro tower, Metropolis.

Hawkgirl was typing on a computer in the large security room as Kage with his mask down sat behind her, eyes closed.

"You know what? This new monitor duty rotation isn't so bad. No more overnights unless you want them, only one shift a week and you're done… Naruto?" She asked before hearing a snore.

She looked back and saw Naruto's head leaning back before walking over, and kicked his leg.

"Huh?!" Naruto yelled out before blinking as he rubbed his head.

"I'm telling you, you should let it grow out..."

Naruto looked to his left and saw Fire and Ice talking at a large computer. "When did they get here?"

"Why don't you just go talk to her?" Hawkgirl said getting Naruto to blink.

"What? Why?"

"Because you love her~"

Naruto just stared at her for a moment. "I swear I'll put Kurama in a cute anime kit body and throw him at the nearest con!"

"Yeah, you'd probably be wasting your time anyway. I hear she's... You know..." She trailed off getting Naruto's eyes to widen. "Brazilian."

"Ha-Ha-Ha. Cute. Look just because another me got her her doesn't mean I will… Lois and Mari are with me in that reality, but they're dating Superman and G.L. here. Besides, she sounds a lot like you just with a Brazilian accent. So, technically, I am with her." He said sarcastically.

Shayera was about to retort when an incoming message came up on the monitor.

"Got something for you."

They looked to see King Faraday come up on the screen. He looked down and pressed a speaker phone.

"Tell Hawkgirl your story, Mr. Sirianni."

"We met awhile back, ma'am. Longer for me than for you." A man said over the phone. "When you traveled in time back to World War II. You fought along side my squadron."

"You're one of the Blackhawks." Hawkgirl said as they went to the screen.

"Only one still kicking I'm sorry to say."

"What's the problem?" Naruto asked looking at the screen.

"During the War and for decades after, we captured a lot of weapons real sci-fi stuff. We hid the worst of it at Blackhawk Island. We decommissioned the place 30 years ago. But this morning, the old security alarm went off. Might be nothing."

"Or it might be someone raiding your armory. We'll take a look. Shayera out." Hawkgirl said before turning the monitor off. "Get two others for the team."

"OK, Wally and Tea are here." Naruto said turning to leave.

"OK, Fire! We got a mission. You're with us!" Hawkgirl yelled getting the Brazilian's attention.

"Tell me again why I'm with you?" Naruto asked as Hawkgirl smiled and patted his shoulder.

"Because you love me."

"I'm thinking it's because you're great at sex."

Blackhawk Island.

On the Island, Luthor, Dr. Polaris, and the Key are slowly navigating their way through the Island's defenses.

Dr. Polaris is a man in a blue armored suit with a magnet logo on the chest and a blue helmet.

They walked to a hill where a camouflaged cloak was up against it before Luthor pulled it off, revealing a metal door. Lex tried to turn the lever only to be stopped by the Key. "Allow me."

He pointed a large bronze key at the door, shooting a beam at it having the door unlock. "Something of a specialty." He said as they walked inside a large room.

Lex walked to a breaker box and flipped several switches having the lights come on revealing a storage room before the room shook as a large robot walked inside.

Justice League, Ocean.

Kage, Fire, Flash, Power Girl, and Hawkgirl flew over the ocean before the alarms started going off.

"Two bogeys closing in!" Hawkgirl yelled as Naruto walked to the back of the jet. He pulled his bow out, unfolded it, and grabbed two arrows. Notching them, he opened the door and saw two large robotic condors flying at them before Naruto drew the string back.

He shot each robot in the eye as the arrow head heated up and melted the heads off the robots having them fall into the waters below having the League continue on.

Later, they landed on the Island that had a cross shaped runway across it with robots destroyed on the beach.

"Guess whoever's here took them out." Power Girl commented as she and the other women flew around as Flash sped around looking for who came to the island.

"Wait up!"

They looked to see an old man in the Blackhawk uniform run to them. "I know everything there is to know about this island." Chuck said as he rests his hands on his knees. "You're going to need my help."

"We got it covered. And no offense, but you're kind of old for this kind of work." Flash replied crossing his arms.

"Something's activated the island's defenses. You'll need my knowledge to get past them." Chuck said as they walked through the jungle where the museum is and also where they keep all the weapons from the war.

"I thought all of those weapons were destroyed in the war?" Fire asked Chuck who shook his head.

"Don't believe everything you see on the Documentary Channel, sweetie."

"War Wheels, robot condors. You got a pretty goofy security system here." Flash said to Chuck.

"Yeah. Good times."

"I see something!" Hawkgirl said from a top the trees.

They walked to see another robot destroyed before continuing their walk. And as they got to the beach, robot hammerhead sharks jumped out of the water with a robotic squid. Only for Power Girl to make quick work of them as they went to the room where Lex and the others went into.

They ran through the museum with Blackhawk uniform, including one female with the mannequin having blonde hair. Naruto saw Vandal's posters from the time as well as his army's uniforms and his flags with the 'S'.

They went to the armory and saw the three criminals.

"Whoever you guys are, you've got no business being in here." Chuck said as Dr. Polaris smirked.

"Sorta goes with the territory. We're thieves. "

"We going to do this the hard way, Lex? Please say yes." Shayera said patting her mace on her palm.

"You threatening us? With a metal weapon? I'm a magneto kinetic." Dr. Polaris said before Hawkgirl's mace glowed and she suddenly went flying around, and got knocked out.

The League members fought the criminals as Naruto ran towards his knocked out lover, caught her, and cuts the strap off before grabbing the mace, and seals it on his coat.

Lex, meanwhile, ran into the vault with Chuck following him. Fire and Power Girl grabbed the two criminals and were about to knock them out before hearing Lex.

"Let them go. They're pathetic, but they're with me."

They turned to see that Lex is holding Chuck hostage with a tube tied to his back.

"I'm sorry. If I were 20 years younger..."

"You'd still be ancient. Keep quiet!" Lex said taking Chuck to the large computer and set the island to self destruct in three minutes. He and the others left, taking Chuck with them.

The Leaguers tried to turn the self destruct off before Hawkgirl tried to hit the computer.

Only for Chuck to run in with seconds left. "Can't fix everything by hitting it."

"Tell that to all my stuff." Naruto said and winced as Hawkgirl stomped on his foot.

They walked in the vault and saw lock boxes with one open. "What was in it?" Flash asked getting Chuck to look down in shock.

Louisiana, Legion Of Doom.

The trio walked up to Grodd and threw him a spear.

"The Spear of Longinus. Hitler believed that whoever holds it becomes invincible." He said as Lex walked up.

"What are you going to do with it? Sell it to the highest bidder? Keep it yourself and try to conquer the world?"

"I was thinking it would look good on the wall in my office." Grodd replied holding the spear.

"You mean you recruited me, sent me to an island full of death traps, and up against the Justice League. You made me risk my life, and all for nothing?!"

"Essentially... Yes." Grodd replied like there was nothing wrong.

"Ha-Ha-Ha! Monkey, I like your style. Give me the piece of Brainiac and we're even."

"Not yet, Lex. Today was just a test."

"He still has something we need. We have to put up with him for the moment." Brainiac said to Lex who gritted his teeth.

"I should kill you!" Lex said to Grodd as he walked up to the gorilla.

"But you won't."

"No. Not today."

Blackhawk Island.

On Blackhawk Island, Shayera and Chuck pay their respects to the Blackhawks' memorial as the others watched from afar.

"Superman will be ticked that we let Luthor get away just to keep some musty old museum from being destroyed." Fire remarked as she stood beside Naruto on the end.

Looking over at Shayera and Chuck, Flash just smiles. "It was worth it."

after a while Shayera was still other on the ledge watching the sunset to night.

"You know it's beautiful when you have someone to share it with." Naruto says as he walks to her.

Shayera just watched him. "Yeah it could be but where would I find that special someone?"

Naruto realizes that she is teasing him and plays along. "Well there's this Handsome blond vigilante with a killer abs and skills."

Shayera chuckles and replies as she puts her arms around his neck. "And were may I find this handsome vigilante?"

Naruto brushes her wings lovingly. "Well he's hard to track but I can fill in for him."
