OK sorry this didn't go up in Feb for the Anniversary but combination of being busy, this site acting up again and weather messing with my internet kept us from working on the Ch.'s.
Also, Ultimate Spider-Man TV series won the poll, got a lot of vote in the last couple of days but I guess that's because of the Spider-Man game getting its release date and GameInformer doing a month long coverage for it.

Chapter LXV: Patriot Act.
Last Time.
She turns around to see him wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans. As Minerva looks behind her and sees her future husband she chuckles and responds. "The only thing I wish for is for a peaceful life with you and our expanding family,"
Naruto smiles at the response she gave and hugs her. and whispers "I know I didn't give you a proper answer when you told me I was just surprised. I just came here to tell you that I will never leave you or the others and when we have him or her we will get through this together (Chuckles) besides we aren't alone."
Just then, the other woman appeared and gave a hug to Minerva. she is shocked by this and start to cry not out of sadness but of joy and happiness "Thanks, you guys...(Sniffles) are the best."
"(Sigh). Honesty, I am slightly scared. I grew up without a father, I wouldn't know what to do with helping raising her." Naruto said getting Minerva's attention.
"Oh come on now… You'll be a won-HER?!"
"What?" Naruto asked as she got up and stared at him.
"You said her."
"No I didn't."
the women can only think of one thing "When will we have one?"
Now.
Washington D.C. Restaurant.
Gen. Wade Eiling was dining with Amanda Waller in the full restaurant.
"You look well General. The past few months have been good to you." Amanda said to Eiling.
"Mrs Waller, due respect. This assignment is a joke. Never thought I'd be a desk drone."
"I can't help you there. Langley all but scraped Cadmus and insisted on your transfer. We're lucky we're not all in jail."
"Look, the only mistake we made was trusting Luthor." Eiling said as Amanda took a sip of er drink.
"Wade. You know better than to dwell on the past."
"I'm talking about right now. The Justice League is still the single greatest threat to global security." Wade said placing his hand on the table.
"I used to believe that too. But remember: we used to say the same about the Soviets. Our enemies are never as evil as we imagine... And maybe we're never quite as good."
"Nuts." Wade said lightly slamming his drink on the table. "Don't tell me the bleeding hearts in Congress got to you."
"I'd eat them alive."
"You would too. You've got some onions, Amanda."
"Then listen to me. I'm not the League's greatest fan, but their intentions are good. I can work with them." Amanda said as Eiling leaned forward.
"What if you're wrong, though? Turns out the meta-humans aren't on the side of the angels? We won't have any way to defend ourselves. Look what happened last year: Superman walked into Cadmus and tossed our best men like a salad."
"Oh, for heaven's sake." Amanda sighed tiredly.
"What's to stop him from doing it again? They're all orbiting us with a space weapon, supposedly decommissioned. That's a much bigger threat than the Russians ever were. If we'd rolled over like this with the Soviet Union, given up our nukes-"
"We'd all be living under a red flag?" Amanda finished as she took another drink.
"Yes, ma'am, you'd better believe it. After all our work, what did Cadmus accomplish? You get a reprimand, I'm pushing pencils, and the League gets another base here on Earth, that Metro Tower. When one side loses ground and the other side gains, that isn't a truce, it's a surrender!" He yelled.
"It's a different world, General. Learn to live in it." Amanda aid before getting up and left.
A Few Days Later, Watchtower.
"Ha! The exact second the movie's over, we get a mission. Dang if that ain't lucky." Vigilante sai as he and Shining Knight went to the elevator after getting called up to Mr. Terrific.
"I still say this Clint Eastwood dishonored himself when he refused to… What was it? 'Play by the rules'?
"Partner, your medieval upbringing has done left ya' unschooled in the ways of the movin' picture."
"No, his proper duty is to his police captain. I see why they call him 'dirty.' He besmirches his order." Knight said as the doors closed.
"Sir Justin, if you're gonna be watchin' stuff on my big TV with the 5.1 surround sound, you had best watch what you say about Mr. Clint Eastwood." Vigilante said before they got to the top floor.
And saw S.T.R.I.P.E., Star Girl, Bluebird, Green Arrow, and Omniman standing around Mr. Terrific.
"Half of our resources are in deep space, we're short handed." He said before S.T.R.I.P.E. looked to him.
"Great, I'll take a real assignment over Watchtower duty any day!"
"So, who's left up here with you? The Ray?" Green Arrow asked, arms crossed.
"He's with Vixen. Checking out an explosion."
"Kage?" Bluebird asked.
"No, he's with Wonder Woman, Question, Shayera, Miss Martian and Fire. Supergirl and Flash aren't finished in Madagascar."
"You're spreading us a little thin, aren't you?" Arrow asked Mr. Terrific.
"Would you be second guessing the Martian like this?"
"OK. I get it, you're the big picture guy." Arrow relented raising his hands.
"There's just this one mission in Metropolis, you'll be filling in for Superman."
Metropolis, Morning.
People filled the sidewalks as a parade for the City's heroes was going on, the seven Leaguers were on a parade float with firemen, E.M.T.'s and police on it as well, minus Knight and Vigilante who were on a motorcycle and Pegasus riding beside the float.
The waved as a life like balloon for Superman, Kage, Supergirl in her old costume, Snake, jacket zipped up, Mist and Power Girl were pulled in front of them.
"I'd slay the ogre Blunderbore all over again rather than put myself on display in this manner. Even though that ogre turned out to be-" Shining Knight said as the others interrupted him.
"Morgaine le Fey."
"We've all heard it." S.T.R.I.P.E. said after everyone stopped.
"...'Tis a good story."
"So, what? Since we don't have superpowers it takes seven of us to replace one Superman?" Stargirl said beside Bluebird while they waved.
"Technically, I do have powers, just during the full moon I can't access them til it passes." Omniman said waving.
A police officer walked down to them from the higher platform. "Excuse me. I just want to thank you Justice League guys for turning out in force. It means a lot to us."
"Hey, we can't thank you enough. You're the real heroes." Green Arrow said shaking his hand.
"It's you the people come to honor." Shining Knight picked up after Arrow
"Great. Now I'm petty." Stargirl said with a sigh.
"See where it says 'Heroes one and all'? That's what it's all about. The crowd doesn't care who can bench press a mountain, or shoot lasers out of their ears." Bluebird replied, missing some dejected people talk about missing Superman, Supergirl, Kage, Snake, Mist and Power Girl.
They rode a few blocks with Vigilante hyping up the crowd on everyone before something crashed into the float, popping several of the balloons.
The smoke cleared revealing a monstrous man with grey skin and fangs.
"FREEZE!"
He looked to see the police and Leaguers aim their guns, bow, staff and kunai at him
"Where's Superman?" He asked in Eiling's voice revealing he's General Eiling.
"Busy. Can I help you?" Green Arrow asked drawing his bow back.
"Yeah. Hold this for me!" Eiling yelled as he hurls a cart at Arrow.
Stargirl flew over and tried to grab the cart with her staff.
"OOF!"
Only to get hit by the cart herself.
"Open fire!" One policeman yelled out as everyone did that.
Bluebird ran around throwing kunai at Eiling who turned to hit her. She flipped over his arm and kicked him in the face. Only for Eiling to grab her leg and effortlessly throw her away.
Bluebird hit a concrete divider and flipped to the sidewalk.
"Dang it!" She said before reaching in a pouch for a metal ball.
She pressed the top having the top glow light blue before dropping it. The ball started rolling past the barricade and to Eiling before it exploded.
Boom!
Shining Knight flew down, slashing cars that came from the smoke before one hit stands behind him, having it fall on several cars.
He flew to the cars as Vigilante had a group of kids help get everyone away. Knight cuts the wood off the cars as Omniman ran over to Eiling who had S.T.R.I.P.E. in his hand.
"I'm going to show the world the Justice League aren't the only ones with superpowers. That there's someone who can stop you. I'm here to protect them!" Eiling said before he grabbed Omniman with his other hand just as S.T.R.I.P.E. flew in the air.
"Let go of me you son of a-!" Omniman yelled as he punched Eiling several times before being thrown into a building, and out the other end into the next.
CRACK!
Eiling jumped up and hit S.T.R.I.P.E. as he flew down, creaking a shock wave that shattered the windows in the surrounding buildings. Green Arrow called for back up as Bluebird slowly got up and limped to the building before falling to dodge a piece of a building that crumbled over her. She looked to see Eiling pound S.T.R.I.P.E. into a crater, tearing his suit in the process.
A wreaking ball hit him as one of the kids was in the controls before Eiling jumped over and pushed it down. Omniman and S.T.R.I.P.E. ran over and tackled him before he just punched them away. The kid fell out as Vigilante jumped up on his bike and caught him.
They landed before Vigilante dropped the boy off and drove to Eiling. He then jumped off his motorcycle and shot it just as it got to Eiling.
BOOM!
Bluebird jumped over and threw a kunai at the mutated General before she was hit with a rock that sent her to the building across the street.
Stargirl flew over and had her energy wrap around Eiling's neck. "We're taking this someplace else. Haven't you ever heard of innocent bystanders?" She asked flying away.
"You ever hear of acceptable losses? You can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs. This country is halfway down the toilet because of you super-powered types."
"For the record, I don't have powers, potty mouth. It's the staff!"
Eiling pulled her to him and slammed Stargirl into the ground. "In that case miss, you're just another egg."
"Face villain!" Shining Knight yelled flying towards Eiling. "Have you no shame?!" He then jumped off his horse and sliced Eiling's arm.
"AAH!" Eiling screamed before throwing Night away to the Daily Bugle building.
"You hit 'im high, I'll hit 'im low!" Vigilante said spinning hos revolvers as Green Arrow notched an arrow and drew it back.
"Whatever!"
They shot Eiling several time before Eiling slammed his foot down and had the ground split, sending Vigilante to a car.
Suddenly, Green Arrow smiled as he looked to Eiling as a beam was shot down in between them.
"You wanted Superman? Now you've got-!"
He stopped as the Crimson Avenger and a young man was teleported down.
He has short red hair and is wearing a sleeveless red shirt with a red 'S' inside a black, yellow trimmed circle on the left chest. He also has red fingerless gloves that wen to his elbows, a yellow quiver that looked like Green Arrows, bow and boots with black pants.
This is Speedy the ex-sidekick of Green Arrow.
"The Crimson Avenger and my ex-sidekick." He said as Speedy glanced over his shoulder.
"Ex-partner."
"Speedy, we gotta do this now?"
"Ooh, now I'm scared." Eiling said in mock fear.
The Crimson Avenger took out a pistol with two barrels and shot green gas at Eiling who coughed.
"RAH!"
CLAP!
He clapped his hands, sending the gas, and Avenger flying away.
"Ollie, how many guys has this doofus taken out?" Speedy asked Arrow.
"That would be all of them."
"You spoiled, rich little twerp!" Eiling said walking towards the two archers who shot arrow at him.
"I think he means me." Arrow said as he and Speedy fired all but one arrow each at Eiling.
"Oh. For a second, I was all mad."
"You still got your quantum arrow?" Green Arrow asked having Speedy look to him.
"Yeah, but you said..."
"This is an emergency!"
They both shot an arrow that then was connected with an energy tether and wrapped around Eiling several times before each glowing end hit on the last wrap.
BOOM!
They blew up sending both archers tumbling back.
"We are so dead." Speedy said as Eiling walked out of the smoke unharmed.
"Could be." Green Arrow followed after his ex-partner.
They ran to attack with their bows as a bleeding Bluebird ran to him as well. Eiling kicked Bluebird away and slammed the archers to the ground before throwing them into cars.
"Superman, you coward! All your men are down, and you won't even show your face!" Eiling said before hearing Shining Knight walk up to him through the smoke.
"He cannot hear even your bellowing, monster. As we speak, Superman rescues an entire star system a universe away. Do your worst, I'll not let you harm another."
"I do what I do in service to my country." Eiling said as they circled each other.
"Once, at the word of my lord King Arthur, I was ordered to lay waste to an entire village. I knew my king's heart could not be so unjust, so I spared them all." Shining Knight said as Eiling snorted at that.
"Then you're a lousy soldier." Eiling said as he punched Shining Knight in the jaw.
Shining Knight rubbed his jaw and glared at the General. "There it is… The creeping moral decay of the past thousand years." Shining Knight then swings his sword at Eiling, who dodges easily. "Arthur thanked me, oaf! Had I been wrong, I would have handed over my sword and left the court in shame!"
Knight yelled before Eiling slams him into the ground.
"Save yourself a hospital stay and stand down. That magic armor won't help you."
Shining Knight slowly got up as his armor was torn. "Have at thee!" Shining Knight tries to punch Eiling, but is slammed into the ground again.
"You're a relic. In this world, power is the only thing that matters. You and those other no-name heroes, you're just people. In the great scheme of things, nothing you do has the least bit of significance."
Shining Knight rises again, but Eiling punches him again. "I'll waste you and a billion like you before you before I allow any power to rival America's. It's my duty."
"You don't know what the word means!" Knight said on his hands and knees, standing as his helmet was knocked off showing blonde hair.
"You can't win."
"I'll die as befits a knight, defending the weak." Shining Knight said before he fell to his knees.
"Why don't you give up?" Eiling asked the Knight who looked to him.
"Why don't you?"
Eiling kicks Shining Knight, then lifts a car. "Superman and your Justice League are a threat to a safe and stable world."
He turns to crush Shining Knight, only to find several civilians standing protectively around him.
"Drop the act! You think killing Superman would make the world safe? Or killing this boy? Or us? Tell me how many of us do you have to kill to keep us safe?" An elderly African-American woman asked.
"They're the ones I'm after, not you. I'm not the menace, meta-humans are. Super powered beings."
A boy got up and glared at him. "You're the only one around here with superpowers."
After a tense silence, Eiling drops the car.
"All right, I've become what I hate, I'll give you that. But in the long run, you'll see I was right. You'll see you need the likes of me to protect you from them!" He said before he bounds away across the city's buildings.
Later, the E.M.T.'s tend to the wounded heroes as Crimson Avenger hands Stargirl her staff as she and Bluebird were taken away in an Ambulance.
"Don't you worry Sir Justin. These 21st Century Docs. Will have you up on you feet before you know it." Vigilante said as Knight was wheeled to an Ambulance.
"Hold." He said as he saw the old woman who stood up for him. "I have yet to thank you."
"No need to thank me, son. You just get better. World still needs protectin', you know." She said before Shining Knight was taken to the Ambulance as the kids near them pretended to be each hero who was at the parade.
