Also if you have anything you want to see happen in this story message me or leave it in a review, cause honestly I am running out of ideas and the story may end really soon if I don't get some more inspiration.
Wow, sorry for the really long authors note. ENJOY CHAPTER FIVE!
Chapter Five.
"Alexa! Jonathan!" She heard her mother's voice yell, it echoed off the stone walls and down the dark alley way. She turned around to be faced with the body of her mother's, beaten and bloody. There were cuts along bother her mother's cheeks, along with bruises over here mouth and under her eyes and her entire face was covered in blood. Alexa ran to her mother's side, but felt an arm holding her back.
"Alex," said the voice of her father. She turned to be met with the cold dark eyes of her father, the pupils have eaten his entire eye and made them black like Jonathan's did. "Don't trust them. Run. Get Jonathan and run." His grip loosened on her arm slightly, leaving a black and blue bruises where his hand once was.
"B—but father what do you mean?" Alexa stuttered, her voice coming out soft and small. "Don't trust who father?"
"Don't trust anyone. Leave. Now. Protect yourself and your brother." Her father's voice was cold and hard, she had never heard him sound so lifeless and demanding before.
"Father, I don't understand. I'll come and find you, where did those people take you and mother?" Alexa pleaded with her father.
His expression never changed. "Forget us. Protect yourselves."
Alexa felt tears prickle her eyes and closed them momentarily, when she opened them once more and looked around her father and mother were gone. The young white haired girl looked around frantically in hopes of finding her parents but found nothing. "Mum. Dad. P—please," she sobbed. "Please come back."
Her eyes snapped open, looking up at the plain white ceiling above her for what felt like decades. Alexa then lifted her hand up to her face, gently wiping her fingers under her eyes only to find the skin there was wet. Had she been crying in her sleep? She wondered as she forced herself into a sitting position.
Alexa looked down at the sheets to find two spots of blood where her hands had been, inspecting her nails and the palms of her hands she found that her nails had cut through her skin while she'd been sleeping. Though that was the least of her problems. Alexa looked around the room only to find that she wasn't in her room. She wasn't in her house. She wasn't in Australia. She wasn't safe at home. Meaning that everything she had thought only to have been a dream was real.
She pulled the sheets from her body with a shaky hand and jumped down to the cold hard wooden floor boards, she turned her head to find a pile of clothes on her night stand and a note.
'Though you might want something other than your mundane school uniform – Max.'
Alexa put the note to the side and picked up the items of clothing to inspect them. There was a black singlet top, black skinny jeans, a thin black cardigan, along with some shoes, socks, and new underwear all in you guessed it black. Once she picked up all the clothes Alexa saw another note on the table and picked it up.
'Just so you know my grandmother picked these out for you. So I'm not just a creep who likes to pick out women's undergarments. – Max again.'
She couldn't stop the smile that spread across her face and the soft giggle that came from her mouth. Max was kind of cute, Alexa thought blushing slightly.
Placing the piece of paper back down she started to head into the bathroom – which was connected to the room – and closed the door behind her, locking it.
Putting the clothes on the counter Alexa began to strip down to nothing, jumping into the shower she turned on the hot then cold, setting the hot higher since she loved the heat which reminded her so much of Australia and her home.
She reached over and grabbed a vanilla scented soap from the counter, rubbing it on her hands then rubbing the suds all over her body ridding her snow white skin of the dirt and blood from the previous night. After she was sure she was as clean as she could get she turned off the water and jumped out of the shower, grabbing a towel she immediately began to dry herself. Once her body and hair was dry she threw the clothes on her body surprised at how soft they were against her skin. Once she was done getting dressed she ran her fingers through her long white hair and pulled it back into a messy bun.
After she had finished Alexa exited the bathroom only to have a scream escape her mouth from the shock of the boy sitting on the end of the bed.
"Morning sister dearest, did I scare you?" Jonathan asked with a smile on his face, leaning back against the bed and resting his hands behind his head. He too was dressed in similar black clothing.
What was with all the black around here? Alexa wondered.
"What do you want, Jon?" Alexa asked, bored expression on her face as she crossed her arms over her chest in annoyance. Her brother was always so annoying.
"Is it a crime to want to see my sister? Am I worshipping Lucifer himself by wanting to see the brightness of your face? Am I…"
"Cut to the chase, drama queen." Alexa yawned.
Jonathan rolled his eyes. "Must you always wreck my fun?"
"I'm your twin sister," Alexa replied back. "It's what I was born for."
"So, about our conversation last night," Jonathan said, all joking gone from his face as he looked up at Alexa from his current position and into her bright green eyes, just like their mothers.
"Yes, Jon. I know. Demons are real, so are vampires, werewolves, fairies, angels. And we are a part of some colt destine to destroy them." Alexa sighed.
Jonathan gave her a confused look at first but soon turned into a 'whatever you say' look. "That is mostly true. I guess. But not important right now."
"Jon I don't really care for this…"
"Ally," Jonathan cut her off, using the nickname he had given her when they were children. "That Max kid said that they have a teacher who'll help us to understand this stuff better. If we can fight and think like nephilim we could find mum and dad and save them."
"OR…" Alexa said loudly. "We could grab some weapons from these people, leave now and go all gangsta on some demon ass and get our parents back."
"Cute," Jonathan snickered.
"What huh?"
"We could so do that Alexa, though there are a few really tiny problems." Jonathan said, rising from the bed and walking over towards his much shorter sister.
"And what might those really tiny problems be?" She asked, having to crane her head back to be able to look up at Jonathan because he was that tall.
"We don't know how to use the weapons. We basically got our asses handed to us last night. We could be going up against people and or creatures that have trained for years…"
"OKAY…" Alexa yelled loudly, cutting off her brother. "I see your point."
Jonathan smiled. "Good. So the teacher will be arriving in a few days."
"Why a few days?" Alexa asked.
"I don't know, all Max told me is the clave is really busy right now and need as many willing shadowhunters as they could get."
…
The darkness surrounded her and she felt at complete peace, light suddenly flickered on and Clary pulled the blanket up over her head in attempt to try and block out the light someone so rudely turned on. Clary then felt the bed dip to her right side and someone rest their hand against her thigh, her first thought was Sebastian due to the fact he used to do this to her all the time.
"Wake up, Clary," she heard the familiar voice of Jace say as he ran his hand up and down her thigh gently. Clary let out a soft groan as she tried to scotch away from Jace, yet he just moved closer to her. "C'mon it's almost ten. Don't you want to give that brother of yours something to eat?"
Clary threw the blanket from her head and shot into a sitting position, spitting some of her hair out of her mouth as she looked up at Jace. "I—I get to see him?" Clary stuttered.
"Well," Jace sighed. "I don't want to feed the bastard and I assume you would still want him to be alive so," Jace rose up from the bed and held his hand out for Clary to take, which she did. "There is food in the kitchen, I'll show you the way."
Jace lead Clary out of the room and down a beautiful old fashion hallway, Clary didn't really get to appreciate the well decorated area the previous night due to the fact that she had been fighting with Jace and crying.
After a few twists and turns Clary found herself and Jace in a kitchen, it wasn't old fashion though it wasn't modern.
"Once your done I'll take you down to the dungeon to give it to him," Jace said, crossing the room and sitting himself down at the table, picking up a book and letting his eyes run over the pages.
"Why can't I go on my own?" Clary asked, walking over to the fridge to retrieve some eggs, flour, milk and butter. Once she gathered everything up she threw it all on the bench and looked through the cupboards for a bowl.
"Because, Clary I said so," Jace said, his voice hard and cold as he continued to stare at the book.
"Well then tell me, why must you follow me around everywhere?" Clary asked, smiling when she finally found a bowl and began to prepare her husband's breakfast.
"It's my job. As a member of the clave I must keep you and Sebastian in check. Just be lucky I decided to let you out instead of keeping you clasped in chains."
Clary snarled as she continued to cook away. When had Jace become such an asshole? She wondered.
Once she had finished a plate of pancakes for her husband Jace took her down the stairs and through to the basement/dungeon. They passed a few cells containing vampires, werewolves, and warlocks. Some chained to the walls others curled up against the wall.
Clary passed one more cell and came to a large metal door, Jace pulled out a silver key and placed it into the key hole turning it and then swinging open the door. Clary quickly rushed in and ran to sit beside Sebastian, not caring that the stone cold floor ripped at her knees.
Sebastian almost immediately flinched at her touch and Clary looked at him worriedly. But soon he melted against her soft warm form, accidently getting some of his crimson blood on her clothes and skin though she didn't care.
"Clary, are you okay?" Sebastian asked, wanting to wrap is arms around her tightly and protect her from Jace though the bonds stopped him from doing so.
"Don't worry. I'm fine, Sebastian. I promise," Clary mumbled against his neck has she pushed her body against his desperately.
"Have you heard anything about the twins?" Sebastian asked hopefully.
Clary pulled back as tears began to prickle at her eyes and threatened to spill over her cheeks, sadly she shook her head. No.
Sebastian chocked back a sob and cleared his throat. "Don't worry, I'm sure they're fine. They're both strong kids."
"I hope you're right."
Clary then helped Sebastian to eat the food she had prepared for him, no conversation was shared between the two as this happened. Then suddenly a ringing sound interrupted the silence between everything and Jace picked up his phone.
"Hello. Yes… No, please. We can sort this out…" Jace ran his hand through his hand in frustration. "No you don't understand, he's my parabatai's husband… okay…"
"Jace what was that?" Clary asked, looking over towards the angelic blond with confusion written all over her face.
"A while ago an anonymous source tipped us off that Magnus had been helping you two and your children. Today was Magnus's trial for his crime against the nephilim."
"Is he okay? What's going to happen to him?" Clary asked, guilt settling in the bottom of her stomach.
"By orders of the other members of the clave Magnus Bane has been sentenced to…" Jace took a stuttering breath in. "…death."
