Chapter 5

A blonde was stepping up the temple at slow pace. She was in hesitation herself.

Why am I here? It was better to go home just after the assignment, But... but.. well I wanted to see once, sigh..

"Hey, not there. a little left.." Kanata's voice came.

"I am going left!" Kaya answered.

"Not your left silly, mine! ehehe, it's walking again.."

"Gotcha!"

"Heyy.. you are tearing my head!"

"Watch it!" Kaya showed the insect on her hand, "little thing, big mess!"

"Hell my hair.. " Kanata hand-combed his hair, and suddenly his eyes caught the blonde standing just at the top stair.

"Yes, can we help you?"

Miyu felt her knees too feeble. What's with the scene, what's with that question? She stood bewildered. Kaya stepped front, "Who are you?"

Miyu looked at Kanata again, he was expressionless, staring at her. What's all these..?

"Excuse me?" a puzzled Kaya asked again. "Are you here for prayer? The main temple hall is that way.."

What should I.. Miyu started, "Kanata.. I.." but could say no more.

"wait!" Kanata found his voice at last, "Are not you Kozuki Miyu?"

"..."

"If you came to meet dad, he is in the hall now.."

Miyu bit her lips, still a drop managed to come out of her eyes. Kaya's eyes widened, Kanata raised one eyebrow.

She decided to run away, just the moment she heard a familiar voice, "Miyu! Is that you my child?"

Hosho was at right time to block her way.

"So.."

"Yes" Hosho nodded, "He forgot everything about that one and half years, being asked all the time he says he had a quarrel with you that night I left, and then went to Santa's house to stay.. and somehow ran over by a truck. Quite strange of a virus, never heard such one existed... your friends said it was also some extra-terrestrial one, earth doctors can't do anything.. " Hosho got tearful, "I still tried many doctors, but none could say a thing.. " his voice sunk.

Miyu looked outside. So he forgot everything? EVERYTHING? Ruu, Wanya, her.. only he could picture a stubborn girl of very first day, nothing thereafter? And that girl with him..

"Meh, am just talking.." Hosho could not understand Miyu was not listening, "Let's have a cup of tea.. wait here.."

Miyu walked out in gentle paces. The temple is just the same, the place she used to call home..

It was all my mistake.. She cursed herself. If I would haven't gone that day, may be everything would have been different.. And no one informed me? Anyway, how they could? It's vacation time, and everyone has gone for trips here and there..

Suddenly she heard voices.

"..but she looked so queer.. crying while looking at you.."

"That girl IS queer, I can say" Kanata's voice. "And too much unbearable, as far I can remember.."

"That one night, huh?" Kaya teased, "What if you had gone through a long and special relationship with her after that?!

"Huh, stop it now!" Kanata said in rough voice, then stood up, "I'm going for shopping, are you coming?"

"Sure.."

Miyu heard it all. She knew not tears were falling down her face, how everything can go so wrong with her? Why her? Separation.. Separation.. Separation... And that girl with him..

"Miyu.. Tea is ready!" Hosho smiled, then looked everywhere, "Miyu?"

The emerald eyed girl was then walking down the streets to the station. She wanted to go away, far away from this reality..

"Hey.. watch.." BUMP!

"Sorry.."

"Miyu?!"

"Miyu-chi?"

Miyu looked up, was not it Guava? And.. Nozumu?

"And this is it." Guava finished her part. "I am sorry.. It's for us.."

"So.. it's irreversible?"

"Yep.." answered Nozumu, "Sorry Miyu.. I just returned now to Heiomachi, After that day had no chance to meet you.."

"Nevermind.." Miyu tried to laugh. She had nothing to hear more.

"Wait.. why did you come here?"

"umm..it's.. it's a assignment.."

"To meet him?"

Miyu remained silent.

"Miyu.." Nozumu came forward, "I don't like a girl to give up.."

"Hey, nothing like that.." answered a embarrassed Miyu, ".. he doesn't know me now.."

"He didn't recognize me too." smiled Nozumu, "Remember? I came Heiomachi much after you came here..but see, now we are friends, as we both are in same class. New friend ! Why don't you try?"

Miyu knew not what she should say, "Excuse me.. it's my train time.."

"Bye Little Miyu..and do think over it.."

"Do you think she.." Guava did not complete it.

"She would, I know..." murmured Nozumu, "Now, what about us?"

"Eh?" before she could understand, a pair of warm lips were against her tinny ones.

"A short good bye kiss.." Nozumu smiled, "Safe journey, Guava Chi.."

"I'll come back.." Guava said, her face red and sweated, but eyes so sad. "I'll remember this, my prince.."

"Umm.. " a familiar voice came from behind.

"Hey, Guava! It's late! The spaceship invisible programme would exceed its time limit in five minutes.." another voice.

"Eh?" both of them jumped, "how long you are here, Miyu and Kiwi?!"

Well.. for a few minutes.. " Kiwi.

They just landed behind that bush.. and dragged me here to show something funny..." Miyu.

Both of them gave a look there, yes, really invisible.. but not the person standing there.

"Lava!" Guava cried out in fear. That new black glass.. it acts like binocular..

Lava didn't answer. She was looking at the evening horizon. The night spreading its arms towards the west, late birds calling out their friends name.. time to go back home..

"Lava?"

"Eh?" She turned, the black glasses hiding her eyes, "So, you are back."

"Yes.. sure.." Guava hesitated, "Are you angry, Lava?"

"Why?" she let the glasses down, then watching at the other side murmured, "That just reminds me..any way, let's go for now."

"Bye Guava chi.."

"Good bye, prince.."

Good bye. For three years, no one dared to utter.

Miyu did not utter a word all the time.

They did it, Why couldn't I ?

Why not, a new chapter?
