As Tyler and Rav were discussing the extent of the damages to Shining Gundam, Allenby had her normal outfit on and looked to her gundam as she was starting to gain a true connection with her machine.
ALLENBY: (internally) I'm really glad you came for me Noble Gundam. Perhaps I'm starting to learn how a shuffle alliance member and their gundam become connected to one another or something like that; regardless of what the reason could be we'll get through this together.
RJ: Hey sis, you ready over there?
RJ Stepped out in his casual wear which consisted of some custom boots, green cargo pants, a utility belt, black fingerless gloves, and a black t-shirt underneath a red track jacket with a dragon emblem on the left pectoral side. Allenby then turned to see her brother looking rather decent than when she first encountered him.
RJ: I traded the "wandering nomad" look for something much more casual.
ALLENBY: You're looking really good brother. Now then, let's go help out Rav and Tyler in getting Shining Gundam to work again.
A fist bump was exchanged between the two siblings as they joined in with Rav and Tyler in repairing the Shining Gundam. Over on the highway, Jess was driving her BMW M5 over to the meeting point with the Gjallarhorn representative. Argo and Sai were in the back seat as they were looking over the footage of what the Skyhammer device could do to a mobile suit.
SAI: So, this "Skyhammer" thing is a device that can stop a mobile suit dead in its tracks?
ARGO: In a basic explanation yes, the device is centered around killswitch technology that was first used to test out what effects it could have with law enforcement agencies in stopping criminals.
JESS: Recently there has been an increased need for the military to use this kind of tech in their operations across the galaxy. Gjallarhorn is one of those groups that uses this kind of tech and they were none too pleased that it went into the wrong hands.
The group stopped at a gas station to fill up the car before they continued onward to the meeting point. Sai got out to stretch out for a little bit while Argo stayed in the car and continued to look over the footage of when RJ, Tyler, and Allenby were holding off The House to get the Shining Gundam over to Rav.
ARGO: (internally) Judging solely based on appearance alone, the mobile suits that Allenby first detected was the SRf-06 Dahle. The unit is mostly used by police forces in south eastern Asian countries, notably here in Neo Hong Kong. Could this "collector" have enough influence to buy off the police and military forces in the area as well?
As Jess was done fueling up the car, Sai Saici got in next to Argo as he handed him a bottle of water. Argo just nodded as he took the bottle and set it into one of the cup holders in the rear seat insert.
JESS: Who was the goon squad that tried to jump Ty, RJ, and Allenby in Venezuela?
ARGO: The mobile suits in question were the SRf-06 Dahle that were most likely purchased off by the Collector.
SAI: Wait…I've seen that unit before, it was back at one of the space ports wasn't it?
JESS: That it was, so I guess The House was more than willing to pay off some corrupt cops here a decent amount of money to get their hands on those frames.
ARGO: There's more to it than that. Upon further inspection of the unit, I noticed a crest on the shoulder armor that was not one that any law enforcement agency here in Neo Hong Kong possessed.
SAI: Let me take a look at it.
Argo handed the tablet over to Sai as he inspected the area in question. Jess got a message on her phone that let her know that the contact was at the location and was ready to negotiate.
As the car pulled into a business park parking lot, the representative was in a standard issue Gjallarhorn transport truck and was at the spot right next to Jess.
REP: Jessica Miller, we've heard great things about you.
JESS: Same goes to you. Kinda surprised you picked this location since this is on a "need-to-know" issue.
REP: You can place the responsibility of the location choice to my superiors. You have brought in some muscle to help out as well.
JESS: Didn't want to come unprepared. Onto business, where's the location of the other Skyhammer device?
REP: Of course, time is of the essence.
The rep sent over a dossier over to Jess that had the location of the other Skyhammer device and the information on how to make a countermeasure for the Skyhammer. Jess looked over the information that was given to her and so far, it all checked out. Argo and Sai took a peek at what Jess was looking at and they both nodded their heads in approval.
REP: I look forward for you to deliver us, how do you youngsters say this, "the goods" on this job.
JESS: You needed worry, we can handle this.
The rep had the driver of the truck back up from the parking spot and they left the business park. Sai breathed a sigh of relief that they were able to get the first part of the job done without anyone raising suspicions.
SAI: I'm so not cut out for clandestine jobs like this.
JESS: Good thing you let me do the talking, otherwise we'd be fighting them too.
ARGO: Regardless, we have what we need so let's get moving to the location.
Jess pulled away from the business park and headed down to the location of the other Skyhammer device that was set on the GPS. Back at the Neo Japan team facility, Domon was working up a storm to get ready for his match against Schwarz in a couple of days. Commissioner Karato was looking on and he was stunned at the intensity level that Domon was training on after what had transpired over the last few days.
KARATO: (internally) We've not heard from Domon in a few days and he comes in now and is pulling off numbers like these? If we get this Domon Kasshu in the fight against Neo Germany, we may just stand a chance in the final battle royal.
MASTER ASIA: I take it that my former student is impressing you commissioner Karato?
Karato was a little surprised that Master Asia was even at the Neo Japan facility of his own accord. Master Asia walked up to the viewing area to see Domon go to work on several simulated targets. Karato then reproached the viewing area to look at what Master Asia is seeing.
MASTER ASIA: I sure you are well aware that this will be the last preliminary match of the tournament before the final battle royal right?
KARATO: Of course, we're aware of that. This was all thanks to that incident back during the Singapore/Malaysia rematch we had a few days ago.
MASTER ASIA: I'm well aware of what happened back them and fortunate that Domon made it out of there alive.
Karato looked at Master Asia as if someone shot his dog; but then turned back to notice that Domon was looking up at the viewing area to see Master Asia right next to the commissioner. Master Asia had a smile on his face as he then nodded to his former student.
MASTER ASIA: I'm here on a personal mater and for that reason, I'll need Domon to aid me in something before the fight.
KARATO: O-of course Master Asia, you have full clearance to do so.
Master Asia then left the viewing area and Domon got into one of the locker rooms to change into his normal attire before he left the facility. Dr. Mikamura was looking at the numbers as well and he knew that they stood more than a chance against Schwarz Bruder. Back on the road, Jess took a quick glance at her rear-view mirror and made sure that no one from either The House or from Ulube's group was tailing the trio. Sai took a look at the mark on the Dahle mobile suits again and figured out what that mark was.
SAI: I think I may have an idea on what the markings on the mobile suits is.
ARGO: I'm listening…
SAI: After taking a close look at the emblem on the mobile suit, it seems that they have recruited members of a group calling themselves The Empire.
JESS: Wait a…you mean Adam Hendry's faction?
ARGO: You know about them?
JESS: How can you not hear about them. Hendry's been the Gundam Fight League World Heavyweight Champion for over a year now and there were reports that he had some of his matches were fixed in his favor. We had reasons to believe that he had help from the rest of his group; but we had no information that he would even take money from someone like Navarro.
Argo then looked up at some information regarding The Empire and looked at the emblem was an exact match to the ones on the mobile suits that attacked Tyler, Allenby, and RJ in the Guiana Highlands. As the car pulled up to the location of the second Skyhammer device, Jess took a moment to look at their surroundings to make sure that no one followed them before they started the job.
JESS: I am honestly stunned that Adam would even side with The House; but we've got bigger fish to fry at this moment. I'll wait here while the two of you get the truck in question that has the Skyhammer device.
SAI: And how are we supposed to know which truck has it?
ARGO: From the notes I looked at, this "Skyhammer" device is running off of an Ahab Reactor, we just need to scan for the right Ahab Wave Frequency to locate the truck in question.
JESS: I'm surprised you knew about Ahab Reactors Argo.
ARGO: I did work out at a quarry when I was younger and some of the mobile workers that were stationed there ran off of Ahab Reactors.
SAI: Great to know mister, now let's get going.
Argo nodded as he and Sai both got out of Jess' car and made their way through the facility. Jess sent out a text to Rav to have her "Plan B" on standby in case things went south. Over at the government center, Prime Minister Wong was overseeing the finishing touches in the repairs of the Dark Gundam and was completing his report on the life core unit. One of Wong's agents came in with a briefcase in hand that had another "ace" in Wong's Dark Army.
AGENT: Prime Minister, the samples have arrived per your request.
WONG: Good, have the team get the samples ready for DG Cell augmentation.
AGENT: Yes sir.
WONG: (internally) With this "House" organization now in the know about the Dark Gundam, it's time I had an insurance policy to deal with them or anyone that will stand in my way.
Hidden in the shadows, Schwarz was listening in on the brief conversation that Wong was having with one of his scientists who was preparing to augment the DG Cells into the samples that Wong had obtained.
SCHWARZ: (internally) Those samples are that of Domon's comrades. That snake will do anything it takes to make sure that his plans come to fruition. What Wong doesn't know is that he is just a means to an end for Ulube.
Wong was through with the conversation with the scientist and he looked to his agent. Schwarz quickly left the scene without drawing too much attention.
WONG: Now then, what about this "Collector" I've been hearing about?
AGENT: We believe that the Collector has the data files on the Dark Gundam. What he intends to do with the data we are uncertain at this time.
WONG: So many snakes in the grass when it comes to this line of work. Has work been completed on my personal mobile fighter?
AGENT: Indeed sir, the suit is ready whenever you need it.
WONG: Good, we'll have it ready for when the big debut comes.
Little did Wong know was that Lina was recording the entire conversation for The House and she was prepared to make a call out to The Collector. Lina had a devious smile on her face as she left the government building. Back at the black site, Sai and Argo were checking out the vehicle depot with a tracker that was in the dossier.
SAI: So, how do we know which one has the Skyhammer mister?
ARGO: The signature of the reactor frequency is in its pattern. Think of it like a fingerprint, each one is different from the rest despite being of the same build.
SAI: I see…
As the two of them made their way through the depot, the scanner started to go off wildly at an unsuspecting truck. Both fighters took a look at the truck in question and were perplexed that they would choose to hide a top-secret military tool in the kind of truck in question.
SAI: Of all of the trucks to hide Skyhammer in, they went and choose that?
ARGO: Points to them for not wanting to draw attention to themselves, but you can knock off five points for what's in the truck.
SAI: (sighs) Jess, we found the second Skyhammer device. Too bad it's in a truck littered with toy ponies.
JESS: Good thing, get it and get out of there before someone finds you out.
ARGO: Copy that, we'll get it out now.
JESS: (internally)Why a truck filled with toy ponies, were they high when they made that choice?
Argo managed to get the Skyhammer device in a briefcase that Jess got from the Gjallarhorn rep to transport the device. Sai checked the corners to see if anyone in the facility would notice anything; but everything was all clear. Argo took a glance and saw Jess using her flashers to signal them to head back to her car. The two fighters made their way through the depot and made sure not to alert any guards that were there. Once the two got into Jess' car, they casually drove off the site without incident.
SAI: Why do I get the feeling that this was way too easy?
JESS: Doesn't matter, we've got what we need and we're out of here.
ARGO: I'm with Sai on this one, with all of that security at the black site; there was no way that they wouldn't have noticed that they have lost their device.
As the group got onto the highway, a squad of House enforcers started to pursue Jess, Sai, and Argo. The enforcers were using the same units that attacked Allenby, Tyler, and RJ in the Guiana Highlands.
JESS: You had to say something didn't you?
ARGO: No time for complaints so, just step on it!
Jess didn't need a second opinion as she put her foot down on the gas pedal and the car started to speed up, so they could outrun the mobile suits. One of the mobile suits open fired on Jess' car and Jess ended up swerving out of the way to avoid getting hit.
SAI: Does anyone have a plan for what we're going to do about those mobile suits?
JESS: I do, take the wheel dragon boy!
SAI: Wait wha-
JESS: Rav!
Rav got Jess' message to his watch and he sent out a huge container out through the ground bridge. Allenby looked on in a bit of confusion as she didn't know what Rav sent through the ground bridge. Dr. Halvorson and Dr. Belamy also shared her state of confusion as to what Rav just did as Dr. Belamy was tending to Dr. Halvorson's nose.
ALLENBY: What was that all about?
TYLER & RJ: Jess is pissed…
ALLENBY: Oh dear…
As Sai took the wheel of Jess' BMW, Jess got onto the roof of her car and was fighting the wind as the mobile suits continued their pursuit. Argo had a death grip on the briefcase that contained the second Skyhammer device. Jess instructed Sai to move to his right just a little bit before they hit the bridge.
ARGO: You sure you know what you're doing Jess?
JESS: Just trust me on this!
SAI: Just about to hit the bridge, hold on tight!
As the group made it onto the bridge, the mobile suits start to surround the car on all sides. The ground bridge portal opened up right next to where Jess was on the bridge. At that moment, Jess made a leap from the car to where the ground bridge opened up. Jess spread out as far as she can as a hand came out from the container that was sent over by Rav. Jess landed on the hand as it started to pull her into the container. A very familiar gundam frame came out of the container and started to attack the enforcers with a buster rifle.
SAI: Wait…am I getting a case of Deja-vu here?
ARGO: Glad I'm not the only one thinking that.
JESS: Winning Noble Gundam is in play now boys!
The Winning Noble Gundam was almost similar to Allenby's Noble Gundam; but the differences were noticeable to stand on its own. The Gundam was a mix of canary yellow, black, & white for the main frame with some orange and Carolina blue for accents. There were green accent armor pieces with the main broach ribbon being in the shape of a "W" with a pink diamond in the center crown of the "W". The hair style for Winning Noble was that of a ponytail and there were spots for beam sabers on her shoulder armor. Jess started to go after the enforcers as Sai and Argo made their way to the meeting point with the Gjallarhorn representative.
JESS: Alright then boys, you ready to play rough?
The enforcers started to engage Jess as she started to fend them off with various elbow and knee strikes. One of the enforcers pulled out a beam axe to try and take a slice out of Jess; but she reacted with her buster rifle and shot the unit in the head. As the enforcer fell to the ground, Jess jumped up out of the pile-up and let loose a volley of shots from her buster rifle to the units. One of the enforcers charged at Jess with the beam axe and Jess pulled out one of her beam swords to meet the enforcer head on.
JESS: I take it you do this with all the girls you take out on dates?
THUG: The House wants their device back this instant Jessica Miller.
JESS: So formal with the introductions, I'm not impressed at all with guys who steal military tech.
Jess then broken the attack and started to get in some hits on the enforcer as the group that Jess hit earlier with the volley started to stir. Further down the highway, Argo and Sai were about to make the exit to the exchange point with their client. Sai looked to his left as he noticed that one of the enforcers was tailing them to the exchange point.
SAI: Hey Mister, what are we going to do with this guy?
ARGO: Just keep driving, we're almost there!
Sai kept on the road he was on as the enforcer was ready to open fire on Sai and Argo. Before a shot could ring out from the assault rifle, a sudden strike to the unit's head gave the two a chance to make it to the exchange point. Standing over the destroyed unit was Schwarz Bruder in Shadow Gundam.
SCHWARZ: You'd be wise to stay out of their way.
JESS: Nice of you to drop in.
Jess flew down next to Schwarz as she had one of the enforcers in a headlock. She then smashed her elbow into the enforcer's head. Schwarz then turned to face Jess who retracted her beam saber, so she can shake Schwarz's hand.
SCHWARZ: I take that you're the one that caused this little ruckus?
JESS: By ruckus you mean taking back stolen property and returning it to its rightful owners, then yes, I did.
SCHWARZ: Then that means you're aware about the Dark Gundam?
JESS: Can we finish the question asking till after we kick the crap out of these guys?
Schwarz nodded as he and Jess got to work dispatching the rest of the House's enforcers. Schwarz used his forearm blades to cut down a couple of enforcers in the air. Jess pulled out her beam sabers and started to cut down an enforcer's leg. Argo and Sai arrived at the exchange location and the rep didn't take too long in arriving on the scene.
REP: Where is Miss Miller might I ask?
SAI: Jess is busy at the moment, we got the Skyhammer per your request.
ARGO: Word of advice, get this device far away from here as possible.
REP: Noted and I can see why Miss Miller is not here at the moment. Gjallarhorn thanks you for your contributions.
The rep and Argo exchanged briefcases and both parties went about their separate ways. Jess had her buster rifle sighted in on a few remaining enforcers, but Schwarz finished them off with his ultimate technique. Jess shrugged it off as she lowered her rifle and Schwarz rose to his feet.
SCHWARZ: Not bad at all Jess, I'm impressed.
JESS: Same goes to you. Why did you help us out?
SCHWARZ: We have a common enemy here, but you need to be on your guard when the Dark Gundam arrives.
JESS: We'll keep that in mind…
Schwarz then left in a flash and Jess made her way back to Rav's shop. Argo and Sai were already there and were helping out Tyler, Allenby, and RJ getting the Shining Gundam back together. Rav had brought out a few glasses of water for the group as Jess made her arrival to the shop.
RAV: Perfect timing Jess, did everything go well on the job?
JESS: The House was not too happy they lost their killswitch tech; but it's in the right hands now.
SAI: Your car's still in one piece and no scratches from what I could see.
TYLER: Good, last thing we need is a repeat of what happened in Palmont City.
Jess got out of her mobile suit and she was in her Mobile Trace Suit as she made her way towards Rav. As the group got their waters and took a few moments to rest, Rav gave Jess a little present he was working on for her.
RAV: I got this ready for you, say hello to your battle booster.
TYLER: Awesome, I've been hearing a little rumor about that little thing myself.
JESS: A girl like me is going to get used to this.
ARGO: We also got the information on a potential countermeasure device.
RJ: Cool, Rav and I will get to work on how we can install the countermeasure to all of your gundams after Domon gets through with his match against Schwarz.
SAI: I'm not too worried, bro's got this!
The group all had a salute by raising their drinks up to the sky. Dr. Belamy was looking at the data from Jess' gundam and was impressed by the results that it gained in battle. Dr. Halvorson had a look of disbelief on his face as he was looking at the same data that Dr. Belamy was looking at as the group got to work on getting Shining Gundam up and running again.
