Next morning:Callie rolled over to her side and grabbed her phone.

"Callie! Do you need a ride to the hospital?" Meredith pounded on the door of the empty room. Callie groaned and quickly sat up.

"Yeah, I'll be down there in a minute." Callie got out of bed and grabbed a pair of jeans and a blouse and got herself dressed. She pulled her brunette hair back in a pony tale and walked down the stairs.

"Hi, Zola!" Callie smiled and hugged the little girl. "How are you?" Callie added, walking over to the cabinet to get a coffee cup.

"I'm good." Zola continued to eat her cereal as everyone ran around the kitchen getting things together. Callie quickly drank her coffee and grabbed her purse and headed out the door with the kids.

"So how does it feel to be back? Wait. Are you back?" Meredith started the car and quickly drove towards the school.

"I think I am coming back. It feels great. I just love being closer to Sofia right now, and all I want is for her to have Arizona and I around without getting on plane." Callie smiled slightly and leaned back in the seat.

"Well, I'm glad you're back." Meredith parked the car and grabbed Zola and Bailey and walked them to the front doors. Once she said her goodbyes she quickly walked back to the car.

"Have they found a new ortho surgeon since I left?" Callie asked, looking down at her phone.

"Just a few here and there. I'm sure Bailey would be more than happy to give you your job back." Meredith drove towards the hospital.

"That's my hope." Callie smiled at the picture Arizona sent of Sofia. That was what they did since Callie moved to New York, pictures of Sofia.

Once they pulled up to the hospital, Callie took a deep breathe and got out of the car. She saw Arizona, and quickly looked at Meredith. "I'll find you later and let you know what happens." The brunette ran over to the blonde and smiled. "Hi." Callie said softly.

Arizona felt chills run up her spine as soon as she heard Callie's voice.

"Calliope." Arizona smiled and walked through the doors of the hospital.

"I'm sorry I rushed out last night." Callie headed towards the elevator with Arizona, and as soon as they got there, Callie heard Arizona gasp.

"Carina!" Arizona walked over to the girl and kissed her on the cheek. Callie sighed enough for everyone around her to hear.

"Ah, this is Callie, and Callie this is Carina." Arizona got in the elevator w ith Carina and Callie decided to follow.

"Callie? The mother?" The girl asked in a heavy accent, Callie raised an eyebrow at Arizona and nodded her head to the other brunette.

"Yeah the mother of Sofia and Arizona's ex wife." Callie pushed the third floor and leaned against the side of the wall.

Arizona smiled slightly and looked at the door.

"Oh." Carina nodded her head and heard the elevator ding, Callie quickly got off the elevator and walked towards Bailey's office, avoiding looking back at the girls in the elevator.

"Your ex wife is back?" Carina asked, raising an eyebrow to her blonde girlfriend.

"She surprised me last night." Arizona looked at the girl and got off the elevator with her to head to the attending lounge.

"Okay, so what does this mean? Carina asked, opening the door for Arizona.

"I don't know. I told her already that I was in a relationship. She is here for Sofia. I doubt she is here for me." Arizona walked in and grabbed a pair of navy blue scrubs and took off her clothes.

"The way she was looking at you when you walked to the elevator says it all, Arizona." Carina grabbed her lab coat.

"She wasn't looking at me." Arizona laughed and grabbed her pens and looked at her phone. Carina nodded her head and kissed Arizona's cheek.

"I'll talk to you later." Carina whispered and walked away from the blonde.

"Callie!" Bailey smiled and walked over to the Latina and hugged her.

"Hi." Callie chuckled and hugged Bailey back. Once they both pulled away, Callie walked over to the chairs in front of the desk and sat down.

"What are you doing here? How is New York?" Bailey asked, sitting down in front of Callie.

"I am thinking about coming back to Seattle, but I wanted to come talk to you first. New York is great, really. But something always brings me back home." Callie smiled and shrugged her shoulders.

"Well, I have an Ortho opening if you're serious about coming back." Bailey handed her papers to fill out.

"I'm serious. I need to be here for Sofia, I can't have her going back and forth." Callie grabbed the papers and a pen off the desk and filled out the paperwork.

"Well I'm glad to have you back Dr. Torres." Bailey smiled and looked over at her computer.

"When do you want me to start?" Callie asked, handing the papers to Bailey.

"Anytime you want, today?" Bailey grabbed the papers and handed Callie her pager.

"Alright, today it is." Callie smiled and grabbed the pager. "Thank you Bailey." Callie smiled and made her way out of the office and towards the hallways to the attending lounge.

"Hey, what do we have?" Arizona asked, walking into the Emergency room.

"Sally Smith, twenty four, twenty three weeks along, complaining of back pain, and her ankle is swollen, looks like a minor sprain." Deluca handed Arizona the chart and Arizona walked over to the bed.

"Hi, Sally, I'm Dr. Robbins I'm going to check on your baby, someone page Ortho!" Arizona shouted as she looked at the black and blue ankle. "Can you tell me what happen." Arizona asked, feeling the woman's stomach.

"Well, it's silly, I just slipped down my stairs and my ankle went backward and that happened." Sally smiled slightly and looked at the doctor.

"Well, I'm going to just take a look and the. we will get Ortho in here and get this all figured out." Arizona smiled and grabbed the stick for the ultra sound and put the gel.on the woman's stomach and looked at the screen.

"Okay, I'm going to have to take a better look once we get you in a room." Arizona smiled and handed the woman a towel and sat on the stool to wait for ortho.

Callie heard her pager go off while she was in the middle of changing her scrubs. "Damn, already?" Callie pulled her hair into a pony tale and walked out of the lounge and towards the ER.

"Hi, I'm Dr. Torres." Callie walked over to the ankle that was swollen and looked closely at it, the girl winced at the pain and watched as Callie felt her ankle. " Let's push some morphine. Sally, I'm going to have to take you to the OR, just to pops this back into place, it won't take long, but you'll definitely be in pain. I also need a nuro consult, page Sheppard and Page Dr. Pierce." Callie demanded tonone of the interns then looked at the girl and then to Arizona.

"Get her a room on maturity, and prep for an Ortho operation." Arizona demanded and walked away from the patients bed.

"I see you got your job back." Arizona smiled at the Latina as the both walked out of the Emergency room.

"I did." Callie smiled and looked over at the blonde. "So how long have you and what's her name been together?" She set the chart down by the nurses station and walked to the elevator with the blonde.

"Her name is Carina and it's new, like a month." Arizona pushed the button and looked at the elevator.

"Right." Callie nodded and looked at the ground.

"Callie, why did you come back? I know you told me last night that youyou missed me, and Sofia of course, but you came back out of the blue. And I know you were okay with Sofia being back and forth but I want to know why you are here, besides Sofia." Arizona asked, getting in the elevator.

"What? That doesn't matter. What matters is that I'm here." Callie stood as far from Arizona as she could.

"It does matter, Callie because it confuses me and it brings me right back to wear I was when you left." Arizona said softly, she just wanted the truth.

"Just leave it alone, Arizona. You have a girlfriend, and I am here for Sofia." Callie answered back and looked at the blonde. "This isn't the place to tell you where we are around people." The brunette added, getting off the elevator.

"Callie, I need to know because I know when you're holding something back. I know you." Arizona said softly and walked off the elevator once it opened.

Callie rolled her eyes when she saw Carina come up to the girls quickly, she walked the other way to allow Arizona some time.

"Carina, hey." Arizona smiled and walked to the nurses station with her.

"I'm not up for playing games." Carina said sternly, her head tilting to Arizona. "I know you want her back." Carina said softly and leaned in, taking the blonde lips against hers. "So, I'm going to go." Carina pointed and smiled. "But if things don't work out, call me." Carina chuckled and walked quickly past Callie.

Callie raised an eyebrow and walked over to the nurses station. "So, I'm going to have to take Sally, I just need to put her under because she broke that bone." Callie grabbed her chart and quickly signed it.

"I need to check the baby as soon as she gets up here." Arizona leaned against the counter and watched the Latina. "Callie, I need to talk to you." Arizona said softly and moved closer to the brunette.

"I can't right now." Callie said softly, not locking eyes with the blonde. Those blue eyes have made Callie weak to her knees since she has met the blonde and it drives Callie crazy that it still does.

The patient was rushed into the room, Arizona nodded her head to Callie and walked into the patients room. "Okay, I just need to check and make sure everything is okay." Arizona smiled softly and grabbed the stick. "This allows me to see what is going on in the uterus, it allows me to see if you're contracting as well." Arizona grabbed the peddles and places the woman's legs on each side, she covered her with the blanket and clicked on the computer. "Okay, Sally you're going to feel a bit pressure." Arizona slid the camera up the uterus and looked at the screen. "You're contracting, I am going to work on keeping this baby in there." Arizona smiled and looked out the window. "Okay, Dr. Torres is going to take you to the OR and she is going to fix that ankle and then we will go from there." Arizona smiled and took the peddles off, and allowed the woman to relax.

"I'm going in there with you, I need to keep an eye on her contractions." Arizona handed Callie the chart and smiled.

"Alright, hey, Wilson. You're on my service, prep Sally, and you'll assist." Calliope handed the chart to the resident and walked away with Arizona.

"Are you going to tell me now why you came back here?" Arizona asked, pushing the button for the elevator.

"Why? I don't want to talk about it Arizona." Callie tilted her head slightly to the side as she looked at the brunette.

"Okay, fine. But when you are ready talk about it, Calliope. I'll be waiting. Carina and I ended things." Arizona gave her "Super magic smile" and got on the elevator with the brunette.

"Where are you going?" Callie asked, pushing the number one.

"Cafeteria. I'm starving." Arizona put her hands in her pockets and nibbled on her bottom lip as she watched the Latina anxiously await for the elevator to reach the floor. She stood behind the Latina and breathed down her neck slightly. "I'm not stupid, Calliope. I know you came back for me and Sofia. So if you would stop being so stubborn and admit it we can get on with our lives." Arizona's hands ran along Callie's sides, watching her bite her bottom lip

Arizona's hands felt amazing, even though she wasn't touching her skin, the energy in the room was hot and heavy, Callie felt like she couldn't breathe. The brunette turned around and looked at the blonde, she felt weak to her knees the way Arizona was touching her ran chills up her spine.

"Arizona." Callie breathed as the doors opened, she quickly turned aroundwalked out.

Callie had to process what just happened in the elevator with the blonde. What did it mean? Why did she do it? She quickly walked to the Ortho wing and sat at the nurses station, pulling up a game.

"Callie!" Maggie shouted and caught up to the brunette. "Sallys scans came back clean, she is good. Oh and Amelia is looking for you, she is in the skills lab." Maggie walked away and Callie met with Amelia.

"Nuro came back clean, lucky girl." Amelia smiled and continued to look at her computer.

"Thank you." Callie sighed in relief and walked off to the Ortho wing.

An hour later

Callie rushed to the patients room up in the modernity wing, her patient was coding. "Page Dr. Robbins. Let's get her to the OR." Callie put the chart on the side of the bed and lifted the bed rails and made their way out of the room, Wilson continued her cpr, Arizona quickly followed to the elevator and pulled her hair back.

"If she is contracting I need to pull that baby out. My plan was to keep the baby in there." Callie quickly rushed them into the OR and grabbed the paddles.

"Charge to two hundred, push one of epi. Page Pierce!"

Callie placed the paddles on the patients chest and looked at the monitor "Clear!" Callie shouted and shocked the patient.

"Charge to three hundred, Clear!" Callie shocked her again and began cpr.

"Callie we lost her." The blonde sighed heavily and watched the Latina continue compressions.

"Wilson, does the baby still have a heartbeat?" Arizona grabbed the ultra sound machine and the gel and slathered it onto the patient and rolled the camera around the stomach.

"Heartbeat! Page Dr. Karev We are taking this baby out." Arizona quickly went in the scfub room and began to scrub im, once she waz done she grabbed the scalpel from the assistant and cut the stomach, she slowly took the baby put and cut the cord, as soon as she finished, Arizona took the baby to the table and hooked her up to the monitors and looked at the bp. "push one of epi, starting compressions." Arizona place a finger on the small baby and began to pump, she needed this baby to live, the mother was gone, but this baby needed to live.

"Time of death 13:26." Callie called out and signed the chart. Losing a patient was always hard, but this was one that Callie didn't understand. A young girl came in from a fall, the scans came back clean, just a minor break. Her baby was in there and healthy. Callie heard the heartbeat of the baby and took a deep breathe.

Arizona let Karev take over the baby and she walked over to Callie, the brunette looked down and shook her head.

"What went wrong?" Callie asked, covering her mouth.

"We will figure it out." Arizona said softly, grabbing Callie's hands, Callie tried to fight it but Arizona held them tighter. The brunette looked at the blonde, tears welded up in her eyes.

"I'm going to go call the family." Arizona leaned in and gently kissed Callie's cheek as the brunette nodded.

"Hi, is this Tom, I am Dr. Arizona Robbins, I'm so sorry to say this but Sally had come in because she fell down the stairs, she had a minor break to her ankle, but she started to flat line, we did everything we could to bring her back but to protect the baby we had to take the baby out." Arizona was unsure how she even managed to get through that statement.

"W-What?" Tom was stuttering over the phone and sighed heavily. "I can't take care of a baby by myself. N-not without Sally. I'm sorry Dr. Robbins." And at that Tom hung up the phone. Arizona starred at her phone and sighed deeply.

"There's no one coming for this baby." Arizona set down her phone on the table and looked at Alex.

"What do you mean no one is coming?" Alex looked at Arizona and saw the sadness in her eyes.

"I called social services, they'll be here soon." Arizona picked up her phone and walked away. She was unsure what had happened, everything was normal, Arizona wanted to know how a healthy woman could just die. She needed to know. As she thought about this more and more her head started to spin and she couldn't hold back her beard anymore, she opened an on-call roo. and slammed the door, covering her face in her hands and letting it out.

Callie saw Arizona go into the on call roo., she knew Arizona could only handle so much and she was unsure where her place stood in these situations. Deciding to just take action, Callie walked over to the on call room and knocked before opening the door, as soon as she opened the door there the blonde was, sitting on the bed, her face covered with her hands. That broke Callie to see the blonde like this. Every Time. Callie shut the door and locked it.

"Arizona." She whispered and sat down next to the blonde, grabbing her hands and squeezing them

"W-What went wrong?" Arizona asked, grabbing onto Callie's hands and holding them as tightly as she could.

"We will figure that out when the autopsy is done." Callie nodded and continued to eye the blonde even though Arizona wasn't looking at her.

Arizona nodded her head and sat there in silence for a few more minutes. "I think I'm okay now." Arizona said softly, releasing Callie's hands and looking up at the Latina. Her brown eyes were filled with worry, and her hair was slightly falling in her face as she looked Arizona in the eye, the blonde slowly moved the piece away from her face and caressed the Latinas cheek slowly, her eyes not leaving Callie's.

Callie felt Arizona's hand on her cheek, she felt her breath hitch as she locked eyes with those big blue eyes, Callie was melting every second. She wanted to just kiss Arizo a one more time. But Arizona was putting off mixed signals and Callie didn't want to get hurt or Arizona get hurt. But in this moment Callie took action and in, her lips touching the blonde. They both closed their eyes and continued to kiss, Callie's lips pushed harder against Arizona's, making the kiss deeper, Arizona couldn't help but to open her mouth and kiss Callie, her tongue rolling along the Latinas lips, Callie opened her mouth and granted access to Arizona and pushed her tongue against the blonde, her handling to Arizona's long blonde locks. Arizona let out a small moan as the Latina bit the blonde lip and pulled. Callie pulled away to take a breathe her forehead falling onto Arizona's.

Arizona and Callie sat there for a few more minutes before they heard Arizona's pager.

"That's Alex, I have to go." Arizona said softly and got up, she leaned down and kissed Callie's lips quickly. "We'll talk later." Arizona walked out of the on call room leaving Callie by herself.

AU: Thank you guys for the deed back, I know this chapter was a little bit long, and it left us on a cliff hanger. I'm working so much lately and trying to catch up on this story. I really hope you guys enjoy it. It is my first fan fiction that I have decided to continue so I'm kind of trying to see where it goes. Next chapter we will definately go more into Why Callie came back to Seattle and we will learn about her past relationships in New York. I don't like doing a lot of medical stuff because I'm not that advanced, but I try to put some of that in there other than just Arizona and Callie going out all the time, because they do work that is a big part of their lives.
