"That's Alex, I have to go."Callie sat in the on-call room, her mind was racing. What just happened? Arizona and I kissed. Callie was confused it was what she wanted but not like this, in this situation.

"You paged?" Arizona questioned looking at Alex.

"Yeah, social services is here and they have questions for you." Alex handed Arizona the chart to the baby and walked away, the blonde took a deep breathe and walked towards two dressed up people.

"Hi, I'm Dr. Robbins." Arizona introduced herself.

"Dr. Robbins, Mia Smith this is my partner Sam Montgomery. You called about a twenty three week old baby." Mia grabbed the file from Arizona's hand and looked it over.

"Yes, the mother passed away in surgery, I contacted the father and he stated he wants nothing to do with this baby." Arizona nodded and watched them fill put papers.

"Is there anything else you guys need?" The blonde asked, nibbling on the inside of her own cheek.

"No, Dr. Robbins. We will have you paged if we need anything." They nodded and smiled at the blonde and Arizona quickly turned on her heels and walked towards the on-call room where she had left her ex wife. Entering quickly, Arizona quickly shut the door and smiled at the sight of the Latina sound asleep on the bed. The blonde bit her bottom lip, the thought of laying next to Callie again was making her body go numb, goosebumps rising. Arizona leaned against the door and smiled, she quickly slipped off her shoes and crawled in the bed next to Callie trying to not to wake her up.

Callie felt movement on the bed and she turned around to find the blonde resting beside her.

"Any luck with the baby?" Callie asked, her eyes meeting the blonde big blue eyes, making Callie melt in her own skin.

"Nope, just questions from social services and I'm sure an investigation." Arizona shrugged. "I hate seeing an innocent baby go through this." Arizona shrugged and looked down, fiddling with her fingers.

"Arizona the baby will be fine." Callie reassured her and grabbed her hands.

"I know." Arizona nodded and sighed heavily. "I-I know." Arizona repeated herself and closed her eyes. Things were so complicated between the two of them, and Callie still needed to talk to Arizona about everything, but right now all she wanted to do was curl up to the blonde and be at peace with something.

Deciding on that, the Latina curled up to Arizona's body and took a deep breathe in, the familiar smell made her close in more and slowly stated to fall asleep.

an hour later.

Arizona was woken up from the sound of her pager, she quickly grabbed in from her side and looked.

"Shit!" Arizona slowly slid of Callie's arms and made her way down the hall to the NICU, towards the baby they just delivered.

"She has a murmur." Alex held his fingers along the baby to feel a pulse and sighed.

"We need to go in." Maggie demanded and started to grab the machines.

"Can she handle surgery?" Arizona asked, raising an eyebrow.

"We will see." Maggie quickly walked out of the room and towards the elevator, Arizona sighed heavily and quickly walked towards the room Callie was in.

"Callie. The baby needs surgery." Arizona felt her eyes welding up with tears, she was unsure why she was so sensitive to this, she sees this everyday. Arizona closed her eyes for a second to pull herself together as the Latina gathered her thoughts, considering she was just woken up.

"Arizona, I know this loss is a lot, but you have got to pull yourself together you go through this everyday. You save lives and people die everyday. What is wrong?" Callie tilted her head to the side, her eyes meeting the blondes.

"I don't know." Arizona replied. "Callie, I just, I.." The blonde trailed off and shook her head. "If you don't have anymore surgeries maybe we can grab a bite to eat, April wouldn't mind taking Sofia for a little while. I really do want to talk to you and we do need to talk." Arizona smiled and opened the door. "I'll be downstairs by seven if you want to go meet me by the nurses station." With that said, Arizona walked out of the on-call room and towards the elevator. She needed to watch the babies surgery.

Arizona made her way up to the gallery and stared through the glass to watch the surgery. She needed this baby to survive, the mother has already passed and the baby has no one.

"I knew I could find you up here." A familiar voice came from behind her.

"Carina. W..what are you doing here?" The blonde asked turning around and sitting down beside the girl.

"I heard about your patient and I wanted to send me apologies. And check on you." Carina smirked and looked at Arizona.

"I'm fine, just worried." Arizona continued to watch, not even focusing on Carina still trying to flirt with her.

"I get it, Arizona. We all struggle with the loss of moms, but you haven't been attatched to patients this much. What is going on?" Carina asked, leaning over and massaging the blondes shoulders. Arizona closed her eyes and bit her bottom lip, she grabbed her pager and paged ortho, hoping Callie would show up.

"Carina, please stop." Arizona got up and moved over to the glass on the other side of the room.

Callie heard her pager go off and she raised an eyebrow and looked at it then quickly put her shoes on and pulled her hair back, rushing out of the call room and to the elevator. She pushed the top floor and waite for the doors to open once they were open, Callie rushed out of the elevator and opened every door to the gallary until she found Arizona, but she saw Carina and she scuffed, walking over to the blonde.

"Hey, hey. What's wrong?" Callie rested her hand on the small of Arizona's back, watching tears roll down her face.

"I delivered her first baby, I didn't realize it until I was looking at her medical history, her baby died of brain tumour at three months old. Her last name changed, I don't think she was married when she had her first baby. Then she comes in today and I'm oblivious to who it is and I killed her, and now I have killed her baby because I selfishly decided to take her out." Arizona sighed heavily and looked at the Latina, then back down to the OR.

"Arizona, it has happened to all of us, there wasn't anything we can do to stop it." Callie rubbed up and down the blondes back and tilted her head. Now she knows why Arizona was so emotinal about it all. The brunette looked at Carina from the corner of her eye, she was watching Arizona and that made Callie jealous, a little too jealous. "Hey, lets sit down and just try to relax, okay?" Callie pulled Arizona by her arm and sat her down.

"Don't leave." Arizona begged, her eyes meeting Callie's chocolate eyes, there was a sparkle in them, there always was and thats something that always made Arizona smile.

Callie nodded and leaned back in the chair, waiting for the surgery with Arizona.

"They're done." Callie nudged Arizona who was dozing off, she chuckled as Arizona's bright blue eyes opened. She thought it was the most beautiful thing everytime Arizona met her eyes and she saw the blue, there was no denying that she was madly in love with this woman. She had time to process and forgive Arizona for everything. The cheating didn't matter, the miscarriage they had didn't matter anymore. Callie was okay with having just Sofia for the rest of her life, of course she wanted more kids, but she wanted Arizona more, and she wanted to work on whatever this was between her and Arizona.

"Oh, okay." Arizona grabbed her pager and checked the time. "Oh my gosh, its six already. I have to go check on my patients and then I will meet you downstairs." Arizona smiled slightly and got up, making her way to the elevator and to the fifth floor.

Callie shook her head and stood up, seeing Carina sitting there still, she sighed and walked over to the girl. Carina looked at the girl up and down and chuckled.

"I can see why Arizona is so attracted to you, I mean, I am attracted to Arizona but anyone who isn't attracted to you is a fool. I know things between me and the blondie are over. I knew that the moment she introduced us. So, what I'm saying is, be happy, make her happy because I know she still loves you. The way she use to talk about you, and the way her body lit up and her eyes glowed, it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen." Carina smiled and got up, walking away from the Latina who stood there, smiling.

Callie took a few minutes and walked to the elevator, thinking about what Carina just told her, and Callie could see Arizona, picturing her smiling, and her eyes glowing, Callie wanted to see her again, she needed to see her beautiful blue eyes. The brunette made her way to the attending lounge, quickly changing into her jeans and v-neck black shirt. She walked up to the mirrior and fixed her long hair, pulling some of it back into a clip, luckily Callie remembered to bring her make up and quickly put some on. She checked the time and sighed, hanging up her lab coat and walking to the elvator to go down the stairs.

Once she made it down there, she smiled when she saw blonde hair hanging from the shoulders of Arizona, she was dressed in a red v-neck shirt and black skinny jeans with boots. She always did look hot in red.

"Hi." Callie muttered nervously, biting on her bottom lip.

"Hi." Arizona giggled and grabbed the Latinas hand, squeezing it. "Ready?" She asked, walking towards the doors. Callie followed the blonde, she couldn't help but to smile at the butterflies that filled her stomach like it was a first date. Technically it was.

Arizona opened the door to her car, to let Callie get in, the. she got in the driver's seat.

"Hungry for anything in particular?" Arizona asked, turning her car on.

"Anything you want." Callie smiled and grabbed the blondes hand, looking out the window as she drove down the familiar roads.

"Oh! I have the perfect place." Arizona chuckled and pulled onto a side road. Callie raised an eyebrow and giggled.

"Are you taking me out here to kill me?" Callie asked sarcastically.

"Yes, actually there is a pig farm just a little ways, and I have the knife in the middle consul." Arizona played along and Callie couldn't help but to laugh at her date.

"You're funny. But seriously, where are we going?" Callie asked, looking out the window to see if she could recognize the road.

"You'll know when you see it." Arizona squeezed the Latinas hand and smiled.

About fourth five minutes later, Arizona pulled into a lodge parking lot name 'Blues Lodge' Callie smiled wide and looked at Arizona.

"This was where we came for dinner one night before I left, w-we talked about Sofia and you told me not to go. And you told me you loved me, and I didn't say anything." Callie looked down. "Arizona, I loved you, I still love you, so much. I just needed time. I know I said I forgave you for cheating." Callie looked at the blonde, tears welling up in her eyes.

"Callie. I.." Arizona started before Callie put her finger to the girls lips.

"I needed time to actually forgive you, and find myself. Penny was something, a replacement of you I guess because you were so happy. And I didn't want to drag us back into something we weren't ready for. I forgave you the time we were apart, I learned what life was like without you, and that killed me. I hope I'm not sounding desperate right now. But I came back to tell you, not only this but that, I think about you non stop, y-you make my world go around and Penny never did, I somehow knew how to push her away and I did that so much that I left her. I know this isn't about Penny, but I want Sofia to have her family back." Callie was rambling and Arizona loved it, the blonde quickly leaned over and kissed Callie.

"Calliope, shut up." Arizona laughed and tilted her head. "Just be quiet and come have dinner with me, we can keep talking about this because as hard as it is, I want to hear about New York, but first I want to eat because I'm starving and your beautiful mouth is stopping me from shoving a burger down my throat." Arizona kissed her lips again and got out of the car.

Callie shook her head and got of the car, grabbing the blondes hand tightly.

"Was it always this beautiful?" Callie asked as they walked inside. Arizona giggled and sat down at a table.

"Hi, I'm Sam, can I get you ladies a drink." The waiter asked, smiling.

"White wine, two glasses, and water." Callie grabbed the menu and looked through it, nibbling on her bottom lip.

"Wine, huh? Callie I have to drive." Arizona laughed and shook her head.

"You'll be fine, if you can't drive I will." Callie shrugged and set her menu down.

Arizona smiled and nodded her head.

"What are you ordering?" Arizona asked, searching the menu. "I was thinking about the chicken salad. That sounds so delicious right now." The blonde chuckled and set her menu down.

"I was thinking about the turkey club, with the fruit. I haven't eaten anything today so I'm starving." Callie chuckled and put her menu to the side once their drinks were brought to them.

"Are we ready to order?" The waiter asked, grabbing his note pad and paper. The two ladies ordered and waited till the waiter left.

"Arizona." Callie smiled and looked into the blondes bright blue eyes. "I-I in New York, I lost myself. And I let myself date these people that meant nothing to me, and Penny left. I knew that things were crazy between you and me. But every time I dated someone when Penny and I broke up I found people that looked liked you, had a personality like you. I was searching for an ounce of you in those people and I couldn't find you and when I thought of this crazy idea to move back to Seattle and try and win you over, but then I think about this amazing life you have here and Sofia is happy with you and you are happy. And I really love seeing you happy and it makes me wish that I didn't walk out on you. But the past is the past and I can't take it back but I can only try and make the future right and if you're happy with Carina then be happy with her don't be with me because you feel old feelings coming back unless you are sure. I am more than sure that I still love you, and when I look at you I melt. When you kiss me my lips tingle and all I can feel is my heart racing, I can feel my legs get weak. When I meet your bright blue eyes I just fall in love with you, more and more. I know that I messed up and that's my fault, but I'm asking you for another chance. If you say no I'll be okay with that, and we will work on working together with Sofia and if you say yes, we can start over and work on us and be a family with Sofia. " Callie felt tears forming in her eyes and she looked down.

"You're cute when you ramble and I could listen to that every day for the rest of my life. I know I've made some mistakes the past nine years we've known each other, and I understand why you left, Calliope. But you left." Arizona breathed heavily and looked down for a second. " Carina was just something fun, it was fun and she made me feel sexy and worth something. Yeah, sure I had feelings for her she is the first woman I've had feeling for since you left and it felt amazing, but then you came back and my feelings got all mixed up and Carina ended things because she knew just how I felt and how I would feel if you came back. I didn't think you would actually come back so I wasn't exactly prepared for it. What I feel for you is still there. I still get butterflies every time you kiss me, and when your hand rests on my back I feel it tingle up my spine and it makes me smile and when you smile I can't help but to smile with you. You are in me, Calliope. I am still so in love with you and I want to work on you and me." Arizona grabbed the Latinas hands and held them tightly. "Not just for Sofia but for you and me." Arizona added and kissed both of Callie's hands.

Callie was unsure of what to say, she was still trying to believe this was real, the food arrived a few moments later and Callie started to eat and thought about what to say next.

"S-so do you want to try again?" Callie asked, looking across to the blonde.

"I-I do." Arizona said softly as she played with the lettuce on her plate.

" Are you sure? Because I'm in one hundered perfect but I want you to be sure too." Callie took another bite and looked down, waiting for the blonde to answer her. Arizona sat there for a few silent moments, her heart was racing as she thought about everything Callie just said to her.

"Callie, I want to try this with you but if either of us want out of it we have to be honest with each other." Arizona nodded and took a bite of her salad. She looked at the Latina who nodded her head.

"Okay." Callie smiled and continued to eat her food until it was gone.

"So what was New York like?" Arizona asked, setting aside her plate.

"It was beautiful, and they're ortho program was outstanding but it wasn't home. I mean I had friends, and Penny. But once Penny and I ended things I just felt out of place." Callie shrugged and looked at the blonde.

"Why did you and Penny end things?"Arizona questioned, not caring if it wasn't her business.

"Well, we continued to fight all the time, and I found her flirting with some of the nurses and other doctors to get surgery and she told me she wasn't even sure if she was gay, which if she was bisexual that was fine but she didn't even say that and towards the end it wasn't worth it anymore. Then I just started to hook up with girls at the hospital and then it made me miss you. Most of them weren't experienced enough to please me and not to make this conversation about sex but you definately knew how to please me in ways no one else knew how to." Callie felt her cheeks get warm and she knew she was blushing.

Arizona chuckled and bit her lip. "You always have these small things that please you, and even from our first time I figured them out." Arizona looked at the Latina who turned even more red, she took a sip of her wine and let the Latina calm down.

"You still know how to make me blush until I turn into a tomato, Arizona." Callie chuckled and drank some of her wine.

"I know you, and even though things have changed you're still my Calliope." The blonde bit her bottom lip and got up, moving her chair to where Callie was and grabbed her hands once again. "You look so beautiful." Arizona muttered, playing with her wine glass.

"Did you wear red on purpose because you know that you look amazingly sexy in red." Callie chuckled and looked at the blonde, she wanted desperately to kiss her, Callie put her fingers under Arizona's chin and kissed her pink lips softly.

Arizona smiled into the kiss and kissed Callie back, her hand finding the back of the Latinas neck and bringing her in for a deeper kiss. Arizona rolled her tongue along the girls bottom lip, she felt Callie open her mouth. Arizona moved her tongue into Callie's and continues to kiss. Once they ran out of oxygen both girls pulled away and giggled.

"Woah." Arizona was slightly out of breathe, her eyes looking into Callie's chocolate brow eyes.

"Yeah, woah." Callie bit her lip and kissed Arizona's cheek, her hand running to the blondes thigh.

"I have another place I want to take you." Arizona said softly, fiddling with Callie's fingers that were on the table.

"Mmh- Where would that be?" Callie asked, moving her hand up further along the blondes thigh.

"Not a private place, Callie. Wait till the third date for that. I want to make sure we are both in this before we get in bed. Believe me, I want to jump you right now and make you scream my name, but I don't want to get attached to you and you decide to leave or same with you." Arizona moved Callie's hand from her thighs and smiled.

"Okay, well I'll get the bill." Callie smiled and waved down their waiter. "I need the bill." Callie demanded and finished her glass of wine.

"You're not mad, right?" Arizona asked, running her fingers along the brunettes arm.

"Not at all." Callie smiled. "I understand what you're saying and I agree. You just get me so hot." Callie muttered close to Arizona's ear. The blonde bit her lip, trying to hold herself back from jumping the Latina right now. Good thing the waiter had came and brought the bill. Callie quickly gave him the card and looked at Arizona.

"Hey, I was going to pay." Arizona pouted.

"Oh well." Callie chuckled and rolled her eyes, quickly kissing Arizona's lips.

"Are you ready?" Arizona asked, standing up from her chair.

"Yes!" Callie smiled again and got up from her chair, taking the blondes hand in her own. "So where to next?" Callie asked as they walked out the doors of the restaurant and towards the car.

"You'll see." Arizona chuckled and unlocked the car.

Arizona pulled out of the parking lot and drove down the dark road, Callie looked at the window with a puzzling look, she knew they both had early morning shifts ahead of them, but she also didn't want this night to end not right now. The blonde pulled into an empty parking lot a few miles away from the restaurant, Callie looked around once again and raised an eyebrow as she turned her head to the blonde.

"W-where are we?" Callie asked, watching Arizona get out of the car. The brunette chuckled and got out of the car with Arizona, following her in the dark, hearing the car lock.

"Do you know this place?" Arizona asked, as they reached a park.

"This is Sofia's park." Callie smiled, walking over to the swings and started to swing. The blonde decided to join her, swinging on the one next to Callie.

Once they got done swinging, Callie walked around for a few minutes, Arizona stood besides the swings and watched Callie, smiling. Callie laughed as she went down the slide and got up quickly walking over to Arizona.

"What?" The blonde asked as Callie pulled her in close, she grabbed her phone and turned on a song. She wrapped her arms around Arizona's waist, bringing her in close. Arizona brought her arms around the Latinas neck and started to dance.

Nothing goes as planned

Everything will break

People say goodbye

In their own special way

All that you rely on

And all that you can fake

Will leave you in the morning

But find you in the day

Oh, you're in my veins

And I cannot get you out

Oh, you're all I taste

At night inside of my mouth

Oh, you run away

'Cause I am not what you found

Oh, you're in my veins

And I cannot get you out

Everything will change

Nothing stays the same

Nobody here's perfect

Oh, but everyone's to blame

Oh, all that you rely on

And all that you can save

Will leave you in the morning

And find you in the day

Oh, you're in my veins

And I cannot get you out

Oh, you're all I taste

At night inside of my mouth

Oh, you run away

'Cause I am not what you found

Oh, you're in my veins

And I cannot get you out

(No, I cannot get you out)

(No, I cannot get you)

(Oh no, I cannot get you out)

(No, I cannot get you)

Everything is dark

It's more than you can take

But you catch a glimpse of sun light

Shining, shining down on your face

Your face

Oh your face

Oh, you're in my veins

And I cannot get you out

Oh, you're all I taste

At night inside of my mouth

Oh, you run away

'Cause I am not what you found

Oh, you're in my veins

And I cannot get you out

(No)

No, I cannot get you out

(Oh, you're in my veins)

No, I cannot get you out

Oh no, I cannot get you

Once the song stopped playing, Callie hit the pause button and looked at the blonde, the moment they just shared felt so amazing, and real. Callie felt butterflies exploding in her stomach.

After a little while longer, Callie and Arizona decided to head home due to their early schedules. Arizona pulled up to Merediths house and got out of the car and helped Callie out of the car.

They walked to the front door, and Callie grabbed Arizona's hands and leaned in, kissing her softly.

"Thank you, Arizona. I had a wonderful night." Callie said softly and kissed the blonde again.

"Mmm, me too. I will see you tomorrow at work." Arizona said softly, kissing the brunette one last time. "I-I have to go before I rip your clothes off." Arizona kissed her again and slowly pulled away, waiting for Callie to go inside, once she was inside, Arizona gotgot into the car and drove over to April's house to pick up Sofia. Once that was done, Arizona put Sofia to bed and went to bed herself.

Callie cheerfully told everyone about her night, and soon enough she laid on the couch and was fast asleep.

Around three in the morning, Callie heard her pager and she quickly got up and looked at it, she gasped and quickly put on some clothes and rushed out of the house and towards Arizona's car. She got into the back seat where Sofia was laying down, holding her stomach. Callie immediately put Sofia in her lap slightly and ran her fingers through her long brown hair.

"Mamis here mija." Callie whispered as Arizona drove to the hospital.
