Power Hungry
"I can hardly believe that so many of our forces are falling," Alan stated as he walked up to the window and stared out of it. Admittedly many of their forces were putting dents in those of the Infinity Pirates and Dark Knight Pirates, not to mention Alistair's prized machine was just about to get up and running, but it was still a shocking revelation. It was possibly that if they hadn't quit the Shichibukais and forced many of the helping hands their opponents had gathered they would be in a significantly worse spot.
Alan paused as he began contemplating the final moments of this battle. Alistair was off fighting Kurai Ai and their other brother was nowhere to be seen. Alan supposed he was just busying himself with his own battle plans and not choosing to stick with Alistair's sordid choice of attack.
The three may have been brothers, but their plans of attack always varied. Alistair preferred the more controlling option to reduce your opponent's hopes to nil before crushing them beneath your boot. The other two preferred straight up even fights with their opponent without so much running around, but Alan had respected Alaistair's wishes to the best of his ability, but with all of the chaos and destruction going around...he guess it got him riled up.
His hit and run tactics had grown boring. He'd go into battle for real now. He threw his cape off of him and let it puddle to the floor beneath him. "I guess I better not keep the public waiting." The world began to whip around Alan as if distorting the world. He produced his favored large hammer as the world continued to twist around him. He walked forward and into the distorted world before him and disappeared into one of his other dimensions.
Alan Fox's Shiftuto-Shiftuto no mi's Devil Fruit power was simple to say the least. It allowed him to 'shift' himself through anything. Even through dimensions and into his own personal pocket dimension. The design of this alternate universe of his was designed to be as easy for him as possible.
Doors to different places he had already been were lined up with placards next to them so he didn't accidentally didn't wind up shifting himself into solid stone. Small windows placed around him allowed him to 'shift' his gaze through and back to his original dimension. A stone trail which ran down through the middle of his dimension kept him busy and allowed him to walk through it and take his time.
He was an unexpected collector. He collected items he found interesting quickly harboring them away and into this alternate universe of his to keep an eye on them. Of course, he never grabbed people and brought them here this was his own private world, bringing in people, even his own brothers would ruin it, corrupt it to the same degree as the original dimension.
Alan paused as he looked through each window, looking for some other people of interest. He found his theory to be quite right, that Alistair's main forces had been falling left and right. He could only chuckle at the pathetic attempt they had demonstrated. Alistair and Alan were enough for these intruders on their own.
He pressed forward once more, opening up another small dimension and landing onto the empty space behind a group of Shane's crew. Evening the sides would be his first goal. He took out his large hammer and swung. Despite the large size of the hammer he had swung it like it was weightless, however, from the damage he had inflicted on Shane's crew they could see it was anything but.
"Just small fry," Alan stated with a sigh as he turned around and once more began to twist space as he opened up another doorway to his private dimension. "My motor's running right now so I have no time nor reason to bother with fools such as yourself. I need one of the leaders here now! Only they can satate my desire right now."
Alan skipped over the countless people he saw as he rushed through his little dimension, his soon to be play room. He was on the search for Mikoto or Shane. He had no idea who Bando was or that he was a force to be reckoned with instead he just searched for the two soon-to-be Supernovas.
Alan didn't know what it was with him, but he didn't even want to find Shane. Perhaps it was tad bit ridiculous, but he remembered a short stint he did out in the East Blue and when he found Mikoto for the very first time. He didn't think all too much of the young kid at the time, but admittedly that had changed. He now saw Mikoto as a near equal and the chance to beat someone down who had come so far was too irresistable for a man like Alan.
However, something of a bigger issue brought alan to a screeching halt as he dragged his small window to the side and peered through it and at the ocean. There was a newgroup of ships there. Not his or Mikoto's or Shane's. Alan knew whose ship it was, but the fact that they were here didn't bode well for anyone, especially not for them.
He quickly moved the door to the port. A one stop access, he needed to speak with them, possibly even convince them to leave now. He touched down quickly and walked up to the ship. He didn't know if he was lucky or unlucky that nobody fired a shot at him. They all seemed to know and respect him, but he was walking right into the hornet's nest without knowing if they were friend or foe. It made him nervous to do so.
However nervous he was, though, he still had to act twice as confident. "What are you damned Revolutionaries doing on our island right now?" Alan asked as he paraded up to them. "I thought I told you we were going to handle this mess ourselves."
"Yes, and if it was just cause of this mess we wouldn't care," stated Gan as he leapt from the top of the ship and next to Alan. The guy was wrapped up in a heavy cloth and true to his ability he had been keeping an eye on the three Shichibukai brothers. He didn't trust anyone farther than he could throw them and lied to them to get everything he wanted.
"However, we have obtained a few interesting facts about your current set-up here and were looking into them," stated Gan with a smirk, "it turns out what you are aiming to obtain is too much for us to sit back and calmly allow you to have. Or even exist. We are here to destroy Paradise."
"You mean capture it, right?" asked Alan as he produced his hammer from his pocket dimension again. "Anything powerful enough to catch our eye has got to have gotten you and your Revolutionaries fired up as well, right?" Alan wasn't a big fan of the idea behind Paradise, but he definitely wasn't about to hand it over one way or another.
"Many Revolutionaries do believe that we should use the power for ourselves, but the chances of it slipping into the hands of someone like you or the Marines remains too high," Gan chuckled as he rubbed his hands together, obviously he was someone who liked the idea of the power that Paradise promised. "A nearly unanimous vote amongst the elites of the Revolutionaries agreed Paradise must be destroyed. However, that may just be because our newest benefactor had decided to support this movement."
"Like hell am I going to allow you to destroy my brother's latest invention!" Alan stated as he brought his two arms forward and produced two portals that allowed twin cannonballs to slip through it. However, much to his surprise the two cannonballs were stopped by a single man.
"Oh, I suppose I should probably introduce you to our latest ally, say hello, Alan," the man stated as he walked forward and stopped in front of the man who had previously halted Alan's attacks. "This is-"
"He doens't need any damn introduction," interrupted Alan, "I see the rumors all proved to be true. Even though I am seeing it for my own eyes though I can't believe it. You really did join the Revolutionaries."
"Please," stated the man as he approached Alan and clasped one hand on his shoulder, "this is nothing more than a temporary partnership between me and them." Alan whipped his body around and sent another kick curving upwards and right into the side of the man's head. However, the man didn't seem to have been stirred, but Alan looked like he was in pain.
"Kai Koventia, one of the Yonkous and one of the most active ones of all time as well," informed Alan, "it isn't enough to conquer any pirate foolish enough to challenge you, you continued to conquer islands and soon amassed a small nation of islands under you control. People began calling them a united nation of Kai as a joke."
"I have created a group of islands that share resources freely," Kai stated with a laugh as he watched Alan limp away. "Myufo, an island of plenty of empty land became a farming nation which shares its food with Himito, an island covered with so many mountains that they were always short on food, but had plenty of steel. Myufo managed to build houses strong enough to withstand any kind of weather while Himito doesn't have to worry about food any more. Calling them a united nation is a good assumption."
"Not to mention all of the leftover materials goes straight to aiding your army," Alan bit back.
"Its thanks to me that they even have leftover materials any more," Kai mentioned, "we created a single united force thanks to me. So be it if it benefited me the people of those islands have lasting relationships now so even if I were to die my network of islands would remain strong."
"Your network of islands amasses about, what now? 20 islands?" Alan stated, "I'm pretty sure 20 islands far surpasses the normal requirements for just helping people out."
"Its actual 27," Kai replied with a calm smile, "I've recently made a large expedition to some of the outer seas and hooked many smaller islands up into my network. They don't offer as much, but the offer enough to create my own little, ahem, 'United Nations of Kai'."
"How you weren't already a Revolutionary is beyond me!" shouted Alan as he leapt back and lifted his hand up again, trying to open another small portal, but Kai stopped it just by sticking his hand into the mess. "What are you-!? How are you doing that!? What kind of freak Devil Fruit did you eat?"
"First Form: Vodyanoy Berserker." A smooth stone began to cover Kai's body from head-to-toe. "You've heard of powerful 'vessels' right? Ancient artifacts embued with the spirits of the past? Legendary creatures that weren't even allowed to die. Their power harnessed by the people of the past...this is what I am. Kai Koventia, the vessel for the Seastone Vodyanoy."
"Seastone!?"
"That's right, the power of the ocean flows through Seastone and as a result it flows through me as well," Kai fired a single punch, smashing his fist into Alan's face and knocking him aside. "I possess the power of the ocean and the same rage towards Devil Fruit users. My power completely seals off yours."
Kai lifted his foot up and began to apply pressure onto Alan's foot, "even worse though is the simple fact that just simple contact with my body drains Devil Fruit users of their strength. In other words just simply stay next to me for too long and you'll die." Alan produced a hammer, lifting it into the air. Even without his Devil Fruit power he still had the strength of a Shichibukai. He took a swing, however, he didn't even budge Kai.
"I suppose you didn't hear Seastone's other properties, but its defensive capabilities are on the same level as diamonds. In other words, it is one of the hardest materials on ths face of this planet!" Kai slammed his foot forward and twisted around, smashing his fist into Alan and he would've sent him flying had he not been standing on his foot. "Of course, that same density is turned into offensive power. My punches can punch through steel if need be. Your flimsy bones are nothing to me."
Kai turned to the side and signalled to the ship, "destroy Paradise men." Kai turned back over to Alan once more as he fired a powerful punch right up and into his gut. "And if you want to don't leave a single Shichibukai left alive on this island."
"You think your men are capable of defeating a Shichibukai?" Alan grunted out, causing Kai to chuckle.
"I have three men capable of defeating Shichibukais," Kai stated, "surely you've heard of the great Karasu's fall, right? A man whose physical prowess put him on the same level as a Shichibukai. These three men were the ones responsible for his death and his fall."
Kai paused as he thought it through, "however, there are a few gnats on this island I wasn't counting on. Infinity, Dark Knight, and Illusion pirates. They are all a massive thorn in my side here. And I understand that they are also your opponents. And I do not believe that even as a Yonkou I should not have the right to keep you from your enemy. So I'll give you a short leash to go and beat them."
"And what if I bring you their heads you'll let me go?" asked Alan.
"Nonsense," stated Kai, "I'm kicking your butt either way, but I'm letting you bask like a big fish in a small pond once more."
"You're kidding me," Alan groaned, before he looked around him. "Crap." He was outnumbered, out-gunned, and all-in-all in massive trouble. "Fine. I'll take the deal. And if I injure any of your men don't come crying to me."
"Any man of mine you can kill is no one I want on my crew. So if you can kill them go ahead and do it. I want an army of Shichibukai killers, not men killed by Shichibukais."
