The Man Behind the Revolutionaries
The large leader of this small band of Revolutionaries turned and returned to his ship. Just a few seconds ago he had seen large floating ship fall to the ground. Before that was a single body falling off of the impossibly high machine straight to the ground. Kai had been worried that it was Mikoto for a few second, but with the large floating ship now falling he had every reason to believe it was indeed Alistair.
Now the only thing left for him to do is to quickly call the man in charge of the Revolutionaries. He went on the ship and quickly headed down to his own private chambers. Anybody in his way cleared the path and let him through. Of which, he had no problem with their action. They were in his way, if they stayed there he would have no problem forcing them out of it.
He found his small Den-Den Mushi and sat back down on his bed. His fingers slid and turned the dial, quickly making the call across the seas. "Jugo?" he asked.
It took a few seconds for him to get a hold of the man. Kai impatiently tapped his foot. The Revolutionaries were busy and he knew Jugo probably had another problem he had to take care of, so naturally Kai had no problem waiting. Besides when it came to respecting people there was nobody that Kai respected more than Jugo.
Jugo could command authority and respect with simple a glance in his opponent's direction. That was the reason why out of everyone in the Revolutionaries Jugo had risen to be the man in charge. He had fought his way to the echelon of Revolutionary leaders. He was someone praised even amongst the strongest of the Revolutionaries.
Luckily for Kai the wait was over. A quiet click rang over the phone and Jugo's voice came over the phone.
"Hello?"
(-With Jugo-)
With a simple wave of Jugo's hand he had driven everyone out of the room where he could have a private conversation. The small Den-Den Mushi could fit within the palm of his massive hands. He reached over and grabbed the Den-Den Mushi. Next to him was a large white Den-Den Mushi, which was to prevent the tapping power of a black Den-Den Mushi.
"Please update me on the current mission," Jugo stated plainly. He had no time to mince words with his partner. He was a great fan of the man, simply adding him to their ranks probably increased their offensive powers by three fold.
"Everything was perfect," Kai admitted, "There wasn't even a reason for me to come. They handled the mess beautifully." It was nice news for them that there was somebody else out there who could basically do their job without even being asked. If only half of the people on their payroll would do the same. "Want me to eliminate him now?"
"No," Jugo responded carefully, "he may still have some use to us. We shouldn't make any mistake like taking him out just yet. Even if he doesn't join us as long as our goals are aligned any harm to him will be like harm to us. If he can take out just one more Shichibukai the storm will finally really befall the Marines."
"Okay, I'll be leaving now," Kai muttered, "I'm expecting the same can be said for your mission. You do not need me to interfere at all do you?"
Jugo smirked and slowly nodded on the other side of the line, "I'm doing just fine. Don't you dare try and make me seem like I'm some incompetent bastard just yet. I'm still in charge of the Revolutionaries. And I still have what it takes to remain in charge." Jugo got up and hung up without another word.
The mission was a success nothing else was of importance. Had Kai come in to complain of a slight hiccup in the mission then things would definitely be his problem, but since nothing like that had cropped up, he had no reason to worry. Everything had been going according to his plan. And now it had come time to advance his plan to its next level.
He got up and headed out into the meeting room. He sat down and signaled to his waitress to bring him a new drink. The ship was large and had several special commodities on it. The meeting room had an adjoining kitchen filled with the top chefs of the Revolutionaries.
While Jugo would love to focus strictly on the good they would be producing, he sadly had other matters to attend to. The lovely vixen standing across from him. One of the people in the world he sit on the same echelon of power as Kai did. A Yonkou of deadly reputation.
"Victoria," Jugo stated as he snapped his finger and had another glass of champagne poured for her. She took it and looked at it with disdain. "I'm only here to make you the offer I should have made with you years ago."
The lady across from him was 38 years of age. And had the body of a woman in her prime. She was fairly tall at 5' 1", perfectly trim, with tanned skin and luscious golden locks thrown up in a ponytail. Her eyes were so blue you could swear that birds flew through them. While all of this spelled an attractive woman who any guy, Marine or not would fall for, he clothes told a different story.
She wore a thin-white button down vest, several of the upper button undone and despite it being a long-sleeved shirt they rolled up to the mid of her upper arms. She had baggy black pants like a lot of pirates along with typical shoes to match. Perhaps what a man would write off as his least favorite thing about her outfit, were the same things that struck fear in the same men's eyes.
The twin swords hanging at her waist, made her a visage of fear when combined with the hat on her head. The hat was a pirate's hat, adorned with the lovely Jolly Rogers of her crew, the Shogun Pirates. That's right. Her crew. She was a female captain and a female Yonkou, commanding one of the most feared crews on the seas.
"Jugo, you know as well as I do cannot accept an offer with you, I have a husband," she stated giving him a biting whip of her tongue.
Jugo laughed and slapped at his knees. "Right, right," he bellowed as he calmed down, "you're husband is welcomed to join us." The two didn't hesitate to joke or shoot each other's offer down. They held a comfortable level of respect for each other and knew the other one did as well. If they had been on the battle field, both of them would've been at each other's throat in a second. They knew the other man's power just that well.
"I'm not to happy about having to have my crew on a separate ship," Victoria stated calmly, but at the same time not hiding her annoyance.
"They were welcomed on my ship, but I'm afraid my Haki would've killed them the instant they stepped foot on this ship," Jugo replied, "it takes an extraordinary will to lead a group of people all aiming to the change the world. And my will is extra-extraordinary."
"So is your ego," Victoria teased. "Why is your crew capable of withstanding your incredible will?" she asked, taking note as one of the waitresses brought their dishes to them. "Like these girls? How do they withstand it?"
"Such a stupid question," Jugo mocked, "I have honor among my crew. And that's what protects them. My Haki only targets those who are not my friends or allies. If somebody identifies themselves and holds the slightest contempt towards me that's the only time my Haki roars. Your crew is probably a bit anxious after seeing me. If they stepped on this ship, I doubt they would believe my honest words."
"Indeed." Several of Victoria's men had already stepped on the ship and had already been promptly knocked out. Her Haki of Observation told her so. Even she could feel the down pouring rage of Jugo's Haki. If she was even slightly less willful she supposed Jugo would've taken her down.
His Haki was still burning the area around them, Victoria edged back slightly. Jugo's Haki was coating the entire ship, any spy on the ship would be suddenly forced under the immense weight of this power and be completely incapable of moving. Of course, even as a Yonkou Victoria could feel the weight of the power on her shoulders.
"I hope you are not trying to intimidate me," Victoria stated as her hands went to her sword and gripped the blades, "cause if you are than I can intimidate you right back. That is how I became a Yonkou after all."
"Please, please, please," Jugo stated raising his hands above his head and backed off, "I mean no harm in exerting my Haki. Its just that I have never had any reason to withdraw it. Its always active. Its just natural for me. If I were to turn it off I wouldn't be me."
"Let's just put it past us for now then," Victoria said, "let me hear about this exciting offer you have to make for me."
"We have already aligned ourselves with Kai and as a result with him and me, we have the power to easily take over a lot of the seas, however, the Marines' powers while are shaky still encompasses a lot of the world. We may be able to force them into a corner, but our plan is to overrun them and destroy them. If they concentrate their forces onto one island we won't be able to force them all the way away."
"So, it sounds like you're confident in being able to destroy why do you need me? Shouldn't you just be happy with being able to force them away"
"I have no desire to just stop it there! The Void Century told us a story of the original World Government's cruelty and their power. If we give them a chance to recover they will and just like we are actively trying to force them back, they'll come back with the same intentions. Those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it."
There was a slight pause in their conversation. Victoria did agree with his statement, so, of course, she wasn't going to get on him about that, but still she figured her opinion needed to be stated, "I have no care for the Marines. Such an opinion comes with just being a pirate. However, at the same time I'm also fine with them as long as they stay out of my way. I don't hunt out a fight with them."
Jugo nodded and smirked, it all made sense. But still all people had a weakness, something they would fight to protect and he was certain that the lovely Yonkou before him was no different. As a matter of fact using the massive information network of the Revolutionaries it was fairly easy to know her weakness.
"I am giving you a great chance to accomplish a lot for very little effort. Just sign on the dotted line and together me, you and Kai can abolish everything that's wrong with the current government," Jugo stated, throwing the bait right into the air. He leaned over and glared at her with a brilliant smile, hoping to convince her to take the bite soon.
"With you by our side we can become a force to be reckoned with," Jugo repeated himself, "the entire world will be completely under our thumbs. We could abolish anything in the world that we deemed to be a sign to true evil. Isn't there something in this world that you wish to destroy? Something that you want to get rid of with all of your hope?"
Victoria turned away from Jugo, however, she soon found his mighty hands placed on her shoulders, "come on, together even slavery would be crushed beneath us."
Victoria turned her head and followed Jugo's hulking movements as he released her shoulders and paced about her. The all-knowing smile still plastered across his face as he looked her over. Victoria looked away suddenly, she thought she had buried any truth that could've possibly have led back to that. She admittedly had never hidden the fact that she wasn't a fan of it, but the way Jugo stalked about her told her he knew more than that she just disliked it.
Without hesitating she stood up and drew her sword. Aiming right at Jugo's throat she spoke with none of the kindness nor respect she had had before, "So you have decided to research my history have you? If I refuse your offer will you allow the slave trade to continue? I thought you wanted to abolish all evil? Would really allow such a horrible evil to exist in your perfect world just to spite me?"
"As long as the Marines remain in this world, their twisted ideals and actions shall remain, tainting this planet forever," Jugo spoke with all the pose, confidence, and lies of a trained politician, "with your help though we can cleanse the planet for good! Every inch of their power we leave in this world will just result in more people being enslaved!
"Can't you see what good your help would bring into the world."
"While once more I appreciate you being so forthcoming with this information, I'm afraid that before I ever agree to join up with you and your band of self-righteous ruffians, I am busy with other issues. Other things I would like to cover before foolishly joining up with you."
"No problem, I assure you," spoke Jugo with all the compassion in the world, "I would be foolish to deny a Yonkou and a potential ally anything of the sorts."
"Then you do not mind if I check on a few of your latest acquisitions?"
"Oh ho ho, be my guest," Jugo invited causing Victoria to smile. However, Jugo had to admit he was interested in what she meant and he asked just that.
"You have a few men under your care who I do believe could greatly benefit from interaction with me and my crew. So, naturally I would like to discuss a few things with them and possibly take this invitation to another level with them."
"I'd still need to know the names of these men," offered Jugo, "I cannot guarantee any interaction or invitation will be delivered to them until I know that."
"Indeed. I'm going to tell you their names, no need for you to worry about that," Victoria reassured him, "I've heard of a few recent new people joining the Revolutionaries and a lot of them greatly interest me. Ones like Trevor, Armani Dove, Mikoto, and a few others. But these three are of my greatest interest."
Our Fight Begins Now
Help! Tiny umbrellas have started to infest my drinks! The warm sun has started to beat upon my skin! The salty tinge of fresh open water is burning into my nostrils! I swear its almost like I'm...like I'm ON VACATION! Wait...that's not a bad thing is it? Oh, I'm actually quite enjoying myself. Nevermind false alarm. Next week updates probably won't come on account of me being on vacation from anything and everything. I may try to throw up the chapters any way or maybe just do a couple extras the week after, but for the time being, I'm sipping on Rum and Coke, hold the rum.
