Will
On the ship was Zesiro, he was relaxing a little bit longer before heading out into the forest to find Shigoro again. Mikoto had stopped briefly by, before bolting back off. He had alerted Zesiro to the location of Shigoro, apparently he wanted Zesiro to win. He had tried again and again to push Zesiro forward. He didn't want to hold Zesiro back.
However, Mikoto immediately booked back at and headed to the mountain to relieve Ridley. This left the poor Zesiro and Enma alone on the ship for a little bit while longer. Of course, they weren't doing much before this, just relaxing around the ship. Zesiro shrugged it off and got up, he headed up to the top of the ship and walked out onto the deck.
There was a shocking surprise waiting for them up on the deck. Thousands of black feathers had been laid out on the deck coating nearly everything. Zesiro paused as he looked everything over, but he couldn't believe it actually happened. Why the hell were there black feathers all over their ship? He called out to Enma.
"Hey, Enma, something weird is going on up here!" In a few seconds Enma came up to the top of the deck to look everything over. Enma was probably just as shocked as Zesiro was as he, too, gave a slight pause as he looked everything over.
It was way too many for it to be just a coincidence or a single bird was flying over their ship and was molting or something. So this was obviously something someone did. Somebody planned this all out. Enma didn't know who it was, but whoever it was was obviously not just going to kill them in cold blood like Trevor. This was a guy who wanted everything to be planned out. He was going to be careful.
"Let's take this easy," stated Enma as he nodded forward, "But maybe we should let Mikoto know. He should be getting pretty close to the mountain by now. He's probably actually already there. I don't know who did this, but its pretty hard evidence somebody knows we are here and wants us to know."
"If you're looking for who did this," stated one of Victoria's crew members. He jumped up and landed next to them. He wore the emblem of her crew on his shoulder. He looked up at them and smiled, "Ravenbone."
That was the only word he had said, but it all he needed. The name of Ravenbone was actually quite a far reaching one. Raphael 'Ravenbone' was a monstrous Shichibukai. People related him to Trevor a lot, however, there were a few key differences.
First off, Trevor had a greater warrior preference. He was someone who would never attack someone from behind, he was someone who wanted nothing more than a good fight and a good kill. Raphael had no qualms with sneak attacks or advanced planning. He was someone whose main concern was with getting a victory, not necessarily enjoying it, just lusting after it. It was his goal.
On top of that while Trevor's Haki was probably the closest thing to perfection. Ravenbone, on the other hand, was a Devil Fruit user. He had a deadly ability which was one-hundred percent deadly ability. Trevor only had close-ranged techniques. Ravenbone, on the other hand, was a complete and total monster at all ranges.
"Who the heck are you?" asked Zesiro as he looked the intruder up and down.
"Me? I'm just a messenger," he stated briefly as he tapped his foot on the deck of the ship, "you know, examining the crew's. Gathering tidbits. A few of my crew have taken to placing bets on which crew is going to make it the farthest into the mess. As you can probably guess the Shichibukais are winning. Especially since almost everybody wants you guys dead."
"Everybody wants us dead?" asked Enma and the man smiled and slowly nodded along with a loud chuckle.
"The Shichibukais on this island, the two fellows, um...what were their names again?" he stated with a laughter. The two members of the crew turned and glared at him causing him to chuckle loudly. Apparently the life of a member in the Yonkou's crew meant you could ignore everybody even Shichibukais.
"Ah!" shouted the man as he jumped up, "the two were 'Lucky' Lin and, of course, Ravenbone! He's a monster. Ever since you and Shane have decided to go right out against the Shichibukai you can probably imagine that these Shichibukai are trying to take you guys down...cause, well, you know, its their job. The Marines are fed up with you guys, so they want you dead.
"And then you went ahead and made an enemy of another Yonkou," stated the man, "and you know how quick people are to jump on the bandwagon. The first person to kill you would probably get a sponsorship either from the Marines or from the Yonkou."
"So you guys are betting on how early we are going to be taken out?" asked Zesiro with an upset frown.
"Actually a few people are betting on who are you going to take out first," The man stated, "the average is so far that one or two will be taken down by you. But nobody is saying you'd take out Kai, but Shigoro is a possibility."
"We appreciate the vote of confidence," muttered Zesiro, "but we really don't care about what you and your crew think the odds are. I'm going to beat the crap out of Shigoro, the other two get a free pass if they want to run away for the time being. But Shigoro is dead in the water no matter what." Zesiro let loose a menacing growl as he lifted his swords up and out of their sheaths and onto his back.
With one final carefree wave to Enma he stated gruffly, "I'm going to the mountain to hunt for Shigoro. You guys can handle the other two."
"Not to mention the Revolutionaries aren't exactly fond of you guys any more either," stated the man as he twisted around in his seat, pivoting to the point where his feet were now hanging off of the edge of the ship, so he could watch Zesiro leave. But Zesiro didn't care.
"What exactly are the odds of us going all the way?" Asked Enma, apparently a little bit interested in things. He liked gambling in terms of poker and blackjack, so he had a slight interest in this. After all, who knows, he may just be capable of making millions off of this.
"Ha ha!" laughed the man, "you can't bet on yourself cause even if you lose you guys are dead. Having to pay on top of that isn't that big of a deal."
"That doesn't really matter now, does it?" asked Enma, "Cause we are going to win."
"That's not what the odds say," chuckled the man. "Anyways, I'm just out here to see the prospective cattle in this race before I place my bets. And I must say I am thoroughly unimpressed. This is a rather small crew and not a single one of you seems to be a particularly deadly breed."
"We're a hell of a lot better than you think," explained Enma with a shrug.
"Eh, so they say, but we'll see," the man stated jumping off of the ship and beginning to return to the mountain, "I wonder exactly how many of you will make it to the end of this tournament. Maybe only one."
(-With Mikoto-)
Mikoto bobbed and weaved through the entire mess, ducking rapidly both left and right before crossing over right in front of his opponent, landing massive left with plenty of strength and momentum behind it. However, coming from Mikoto's lithe frame it was only enough to push him back an inch or so. Of course, this meant nothing to Mikoto as he chased in deeper.
Diving right into the open area underneath the man's arm, Mikoto tightened his fist and rocketed to a standing position, throwing a huge right, which landed squarely on the opponent's chin. The opponent would've fallen at this point, his brain being rattled within his skull from the uppercut, but Mikoto wouldn't permit him to do so.
A huge series of blows exploded from Mikoto's arms. Lefts, rights, straights, body blows, all came streaming together into an ongoing barrage which landed on every square inch of his opponent. His opponent's body becomes bent as the streams of blows contorts his body. Mikoto slammed one leg down onto the ground before pivoting around and committing himself to a large spin, rotating all the way around and got one leg above his opponent's head, before snapping it back down, crashing it into the guy's head and continuing it until the guy's head crashed into the ground.
There was a moment of silence as Mikoto's leg reeled back into place. He could feel a steady burn in his leg after the series of attacks. They were a little bit sore, but nothing too bad.
He still had a few more people to clear out. He hadn't met anybody really important. A few of the pirates on this island were actually rather talented. They had managed to hit him quite a few times, he had a good collection of scrapes and bruises going on now. There were a few new wounds on him, but all-in-all he would keep fighting.
Mikoto looked left and right to try and find someone new again. He had sent Ridley on his way, but now Mikoto was trying to find someone else. If he was going to be on this mountain he may as well keep fighting. If he was back on his ship he'd just kick back and relax, but if he was out here he may as well get in trouble. He began to look around.
"HEY! MIKOTO!" shouted a loud booming voice grabbing Mikoto's attention and causing him to turn around to Mikoto's surprised a large massive Fishman. Surprisingly Mikoto actually knew the Kraken Fishman right off the back.
"Monsuta!" Mikoto laughed as he jumped up and into the air. Thanks to a bit of his training he had very good capabilities involving Geppou. Mikoto landed right on top of Monsuta's shoulders and looked at him. Mikoto was incredibly small in comparison to the monstrous Fishman. "How have you been doing?"
"Pretty good!" shouted Monsuta as he set Mikoto down and onto the mountain, "you know, ever since you guys broke me out. I am grateful to you guys for such a thing. I came here cause I heard about Victoria trying to locate someone she would find worthy of the title Pirate King and I figured I'm interested in such a thing as well."
"You did mention something about that, didn't you?" muttered Mikoto as he began pacing around a bit as he tried to get some blood flowing through his body again. He was incredibly exhausted at this point, but he was happy to see Monsuta.
"Yup," laughed Monsuta, "I was interested in finding the Pirate King. Jimbe was a great Fishman who aided the last the Pirate King, although his exact reasons were never quite brought to light. Nonetheless I believe that Jimbe did it cause certain pirates are necessary in this world. The D.s' for example."
"Oh, yeah, the D." stated Mikoto as he recalled his own middle initial.
"Oh, yeah!" shouted Monsuta as he recalled it himself. He had seen Mikoto's wanted poster once or twice since escaping from prison. "The posters say that you're a D. aren't you?" questioned Monsuta as he looked him up and down.
"Yeah, my dad gave me the title," Mikoto explained as he looked down the mountain, still trying to find a new target.
"What do you mean, isn't it a blood line thing?" asked Monsuta as he turned his head to the side.
"I don't know," Mikoto stated, "my dad never called himself a D. I remember when I was younger and he explained it to me. He tried to talk about the Will of D., but I was too young to really recall too much and take too much away from it."
Shichibukai's Floating About
It is too hard to talk about Will of D. when you're a college student...You shorten it to just D. and all of a sudden its like you're writing a filthy book.
