The Rebirth of the Revolutionaries
Jugo was still young back then. When he had first sat down at the council of the Revolutionaries. Despite this he still had the same air of power and the same demands of respect. Even compared to the others that had been fighting for the Revolutionary dreams for years now were still slightly awkward in comparison to this man. They were shaking in their boots as they looked this man up and down. They knew he was someone who was responsible not only for putting many of their men behind bars, but also, more recently, freeing quite a few.
A man in a big cowboy hat slammed his two hands on the table, "I don't like this, you hear? This guy was a Marine. He shouldn't be sitting here unless he had his hands tied behind his back and a spear through his head. He should be being dragged through the muck right now. We lost men because of him."
"He also saved several of us," Gan stated, he was one of the ones Jugo had saved. Jugo had made the move to break him out of jail along with several of his men. "Not only that, but no matter what you say you still came here to this meeting. A meeting like this, with several leaders of the once great, but now segmented Revolutionary parties, hasn't happened in the past few years. Our own biases have come to cloud our judgment and yet, Jugo has managed to whip all of us into a newly burning passion and here we all are, gathered together once more."
"Indeed," one of the women stated, her left eye red, while her left eye completely white from having been scarred during one of her fights with a Marine Vice Admiral, "I must admit I am not the biggest fan of this man. Or do I need to remind you why?" she asked her long slender finger and red painted nail went up to the scarred eye and lightly tapped it. And indeed Jugo was the man responsible for such an action. "However," and she quickly changed her tune, "I'd rather him as a possible ally than an enemy. I'll listen to his claims."
There was a small clamor as all of the people seemed to think things through. None of them particularly seemed keen on accepting Jugo into their ranks, he was an enemy at one point and while he seemed to be making an intelligent and kind-hearted move for them, he seemed less and less interested in fighting them, so they wanted to learn more from him. Find out more about Jugo's unique idea.
Jugo leaned forward, letting his entire body weight rest on his two elbows which were pressed against the table. "I quit the Marines before coming here to show you my resolve. I have no interest in ever going back to them. I have learned quickly that the politics the Marines seem to want to tout as responsible for dragging us out of the dark ages are now responsible for dragging us back into them.
"Which is why with the help of the Revolutionaries, I plan to overthrow the Government."
"BAH!" laughed the cowboy, drawing his two pistols and taking aim at Jugo, "like the Government would be any better off with you in charge. The only way to turn this world into something worth keeping around is to do away with all sorts of authority. Authority'll just keep imprisoning innocent people, taxing the poor, and uplifting the few. The only good politician is a dead politician."
There was a chill which cut through the air as Jugo stood up and caused everyone to pause. They knew his strength. If it was indeed all of them against him, they could win, but the problem was they knew a few of them, like Gan, would undoubtedly side with Jugo.
"The goal of a government is to protect its people," Jugo stated steadily, his voice wasn't moving slightly in terms of tone. He didn't raise his voice to scare him or lower it to chill everyone's mind. He was calm, but it was obvious an agitated tone had overcome him. "People need to be protected and that is the true goal of any good government. Its just been too long since a good government has been in place. Which is why the current one must die.
"I'll burn it down by myself," explained Jugo as he rolled his head between his shoulders. "I am no longer looking to reform the World Government, instead my goal is to suddenly change the world, destroy the Marines, and create a new government. But as you had stated I am no politician, I have no desire to be a politician. Which is why I am here. I want to create a new council and I am interested in what the Revolutionaries propose and who they would propose."
"Us," the man in the cowboy hat stated simply, but he was immediately shot down as Jugo pivoted and his rage seemed to flare up once more. The man lifted his hands and backed off.
"We are interested in searching for a logical group of people to create a trial of all possible propositions to determine whether or not ideas and proposals should be passed," Gan explained. "Of course, many people are good within our ranks, but I don't know if I would necessarily immediately jump to the saying that these people should be trusted to uplift people. Some of them are fighters or are deceivers. If you want someone with a good heart, it'll take awhile to weed them out."
"Which is why we rule over these people just as we should rule over the world again and again," explained another member in the group. He had a light yellow streak going through his hair and sharp fangs, obviously some sort of Zoan Devil Fruit user, and a highly skilled one at that. "We have ruled the Revolutionaries lets just extend our reach."
"We cannot do that!" Jugo exclaimed, "we are not doing this to put ourselves into power. Our goal is to protect the people, not increase our reach. Let's make people fall in line under us for the promise of a better future not for the power that'll come with it."
"I have to agree," Gan stated, "I don't think people like us should ever gain power. We are monsters, not kings. Our sins will not be forgiven for no reason. Even our rise to power will be debatable we need to relinquish our power as soon as possible."
"So the question is are you guys willing to lose everything, follow me, and then...change the world," Jugo stated intensely.
(-Modern times, with Mikoto-)
Mikoto came up to the top of the mountain top and was beginning to rest on his laurels a bit, he had made it past Gan and now here he was on the top of the mountain and he was resting. He turned around to take in the majestic landscape. He had seen bits and pieces of it, but never all of it at once. What he saw was slightly less than what he was expected.
The island had scorched area, trees chopped down, buildings that were on the outskirts of the village had been raided and torn down. Things were horribly destroyed and all due to a small spat between a couple dozens of pirates. This island was in a desperately bad shape.
Now Mikoto could only imagine what would happen had the two sides been sized up. What would happen if this little spat would grow into a world-sized mess? The Marines and Revolutionaries were going to go to war and a new era would be ushered in? But what would be left to rule over? Burned islands? Scorched islets? Nothing would be left. No one to rule over.
There was a shiver that ran through all of their bodies, none of them wanted to move forward. Mikoto began to slowly move his feet. He didn't have the time to waste. He was still growing steadily. He was still learning, he couldn't just stop here and now he had to get moving. Mikoto moved forward, taking a single step forward and then lifting his leg up and into the air, having it hover up the open air all the way down the mountain.
"Having fun are we?" asked a sinister voice that welled up behind Mikoto, causing him to turn around and face him. Mikoto took a deep breath letting a relaxing gust of air overcome him.
"Ravenbone," Mikoto stated simply, "you here to fight."
"Why should I fight you?" Ravenbone offered, "you're weak. If I wanted to strike you down, I would've done it when your back was turned. After all it was fairly obvious that even with your Haki you still couldn't sense me. I think that just goes to show you how different we are. How different a monster is from...a mouse."
"So what I'm not worth you killing?" Mikoto barked like a mad dog.
Ravenbone laughed, no care to his tone as after his laughter his head slung between his shoulder and slowly shook side-to-side. "No, no, no. I think you misunderstood me. I will kill you," he stated with absolute certainty. It wasn't even a question to him of 'if he will' or even 'if he could', it was just something simple like swatting a fly. "I'll kill you. Just not right now."
"You're not going to be able to kill me soon," Mikoto stated as he loudly stomped his foot and glared up at Ravenbone. "I'll become stronger. I'll become stronger than you and anyone else who dares to stand in my way. I'll grow."
"Physically? Perhaps. But mentally? I can already see the gears in your head, hear the slightest tone of worry in your voice," Ravenbone stated as he strode forward and stepping off to the side of Mikoto, "I can tell you are weakening. Your strength being sapped. You can no longer be a heel to me or the Marines. You'll just be gutted at one point. I don't care when. But I promise it will be by my hand."
"I can promise you the same," Mikoto stated sternly, "I don't know when. But I can also promise you the same thing. I'm looking to take you down. I may no longer heavily desire the title of King of the Pirates, but I'm still in no mood to lose to the likes of you."
"Ha ha! Good," laughed Ravenbone as his hand went onto Mikoto's head, although Mikoto dodged to the side and Ravenbone returned his hand to his side as he continued to chuckle, looking down upon Mikoto, his burning desire suddenly started to boil up in the pits of his stomach. "Yes, good, I like that kind of ideal. It'll make it all the more fun when I do kill you."
Mikoto clenched his fist and the black aura of his Haki completely coated it. Ravenbone seemed to take note of this and smiled. Bringing down strong opponents without even an effort was indeed fun for him. And Mikoto would foolishly think of Ravenbone as some kind of Trevor clone. Ravenbone would enjoy showing him he was wrong.
"I'll defeat you," Mikoto muttered adamantly, pivoting round to meet Ravenbone's predator-like gaze. However, Ravenbone had already left. He had no reason to give Mikoto the time of day and Mikoto knew that. Mikoto understood completely that for the time being he was lower than Ravenbone was, which was he would just have to rise up. Try again and again until he could finally just dig his heels in and say 'I beat you'.
Forget Pirate King. Mikoto just wanted to beat Ravenbone.
