Hi minna!

I know, I'm shocked too (therefore, the title. just kidding) =))) I was supposed to have one class today but upon waking up, I received a message that our professor is not coming so… free dayyyy.

Also, even if you don't say it, I know that the pacing is rather… slow XD I'm as excited as you to know how things will turn out XD

Anyway, please don't expect for a daily update hahahaha but I do promise a weekly one (unless exams, which will be happening in two weeks' time) … this one is just, I think, to close a certain chapter (you'd get it later) xD (And to ask for forgiveness *performs a dogeza*

Disclaimer: I do not own Prince of Tennis, just the plot of this fanfic and the crappy names of the restaurants and additional characters xD

This is quite short but please do enjoy!

"I never once thought of performing on stage, I don't give a damn about that. The only audience I want is him. But he said that he love my voice and wishes for it to be heard by everyone, so I joined Seigaku."

Third POV

Amazing Grace, How sweet the sound

That saved a wretch like me

I once was lost, but now am found

T'was blind but now I see

If one were to enter Real Vermello at this moment, they wouldn't think that it was a restaurant. All the customers are silent, no utensils clashing with the plate could be heard. The attention is focused on the stage where a man, accompanied by an orchestra, soulfully sings Amazing Grace. It's definitely a scenario found in a music hall.

T'was Grace that taught my heart to fear

And Grace, my fears relieved

How precious did that grace appear

The hour I first believed

At first, the two producers became silent upon the unexpected confession of the man who calls himself king. Who could follow those statements, after all? However, as the phenomenal boy on stage started his second solo, they all but controlled the furthering of such silence.

Through many dangers, toils and snares

We have already come.

T'was grace that brought us safe thus far

And grace will lead us home,

And grace will lead us home

It was becoming more and more difficult to do anything besides listen to the man on stage whenever he sings, if not impossible to begin with. Tezuka is torn between wanting the boy to finish his performances quickly so that the former could talk to the latter and not wanting the boy to stop singing at all. It was a messed up thought but he couldn't be the only one, right? And true to this, Fuji is also experiencing the dilemma.

Amazing grace, How Sweet the sound

That saved a wretch like me

I once was lost but now am found

T'was blind but now I see

Was blind, but now I see.

For a moment, nothing could be heard. But as Ryoma opened his eyes, after having it closed the entire song, the sound of applause slowly filled the room. The smile on his face widened then a man wearing a black tuxedo approached him and whispered something to him. The boy nodded and he was escorted off the stage. The audience are in confusion but nothing could compare to the disappointment Tezuka felt upon seeing him leave the stage. But he learned that it was for naught as he heard what the host has to say.

"A pleasant evening again to everyone. Before we move to the final performance -"

Sighs of relief were heard from the audience, the atmosphere lifted up.

"- we'd like to thank the Isokan Singers and Harmonic Orchestra for their beautiful performances this evening. Let's give them a round of applause."

They all complied as the Isokan Singers, followed by the Harmonic Orchestra, bowed to their audience. While all of this is happening, Fuji couldn't help but notice that a grand piano was being brought in the middle of the stage. Fuji voiced out his thoughts to Tezuka. Atobe looked at the two.

"Perhaps it's his next accompaniment." Tezuka replied. It was a sensible guess. "He-" Atobe started but was interrupted by the host.

"And for his last performance for tonight, let us welcome once again Echizen Ryoma as he plays-"

The two producers' eyes instantly connected, both reflecting the shock of the other. Echizen/Ryoma could play the piano?

"- one of Chopin's greatest piece, Fantasie in F minor Op. 49."

The audience once again showed their hype as they welcomed Ryoma, who was accompanied by the same man who lead him off the stage a while ago, with loud applause.

"To all the days he could showoff his skills, it just had to be today." Atobe muttered under his breath, which was not left unheard by the two.

"How long has he been playing the piano?" Fuji, being the more sociable one, asked the exasperated man.

"He already knew how to play even before ore-sama met him, but he wasn't exposed to a lot of pieces due to his condition. He learned most of what he knew through listening. But this one, ore-sama provided the braille music sheet for it."

Ryoma placed his hands over the keys and started playing.

Tezuka still couldn't believe it. This person really doesn't make himself appear blind. While blind artists are not unheard of, to be able to play the guitar and piano to this level is beyond amazing. Adding his out of this world voice to the mix, Tezuka is turning restless. He's itching to write the chords for the song he composed. Piano chords. He is so delighted with the idea that he could use the piano for that song. And no, he wasn't relieved that he didn't need to ask Atobe to play it for Ryoma.

The music started to pick up its pace which signifies that it is nearing its end. A waitress made its way to the trio's table with their desserts.

"After his performance, tell Ryo that ore-sama is here. And also, bring that here." The waitress nodded and Tezuka raised a questioning brow towards Atobe.

"A drink which he, for some reason, liked very much. Ore-sama couldn't even bear the thought that he's filling his body with that." He replied with a disgruntled expression.

"Then why are you providing him that?" Fuji asked, curious as to why Atobe is willing to give the boy something the king dislikes.

The piano performance ended and Ryoma bowed to the applauding crowd. He was again whispered something by the man in tux and his smile widened even more. The same man escorted him off stage but, unlike before, they are now heading towards Atobe's table.

"You'd know." The king replied as his infamous smirk turns into a smile the closer Ryoma gets to their table.

The chapter I was referring to is them not meeting, I guess hahahaha

IF YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR SCENARIOS, THEY ARE VERY MUCH WELCOMED HERE HAHAHAHA
