Chapter 17: Nightwing on the Move

Ito looked up at the moonlit sky as she took out a blue crystal. It's been one month since she appeared in the kingdom of Fiore. She looked at the crystal with a smirk on her face. She sensed a familiar presence close to her but continued to look at the crystal. "Is that you, Emi?" she asked.

Emi stepped out of the shadows and said, "Yes ma'am. The pathway to Remnant is almost ready. The final preparations will be ready by tomorrow evening."

"What about the other members of the guild?"

"They'll arrive here tomorrow evening, all six of them. Cima and Niya will be returning as well."

"I see." Ito turned and faced Emi. "Once the preparations are complete, we'll leave Remnant at once. Are you ready to return there after all this time?"

"Yes I am." Emi said with a nod. Ito smirked as she gave the crystal to Emi.

"After the meeting, you, Cima and Niya know what to do, correct?"

"Yes, it's about I get some payback on that miserable red hooded wretch!"

"Achoo!" A sneeze that left Ruby's body and woke her up. Ruby shook her head and looked out the window closest to her bed and the night sky. A month has passed since Team RWBY appeared in Earth Land and unlocked their magic powers. Since gaining their new abilities, they're been training with the Fairy Tail wizards and going on jobs nonstop ever since. They've checked every now and then if Master Makarov found a way to send them home to Remnant. Still, he hasn't found a way to help in that department. She looked down at the Fairy Tail emblem on her hand and smiled. Even though her training with Erza was rough, she could feel herself getting stronger. She couldn't wait to get back home and show Jaune and his team.

'I wonder how Jaune and the others are doing.' She thought as she laid back and went back to sleep.

Elsewhere in Fiore, two figures stand on top of a destroyed building with a pile of dead bodies lie underneath the rubble. One of the figures stood looked up of the moon. It is a man with shoulder length white hair, black eyes, and wearing a black sleeveless vest with black pants. The other figure is a woman with long black, red eyes, wearing a white blouse showing her cleavage and belly button with blue short-shorts.

"It's been a while since we've seen the rest of the guild." The woman said with a smirk. "I wonder how everyone has been doing."

"Since when did you care about them?" The man questioned.

"You bastards…" A voice shouted, getting the two figures' attention. It was a man holding a sword with blood coming out of his shoulder and head. "You'll pay for killing my guild."

"So you still alive all of that." The woman said. "And you still got some fight left." Then the woman appeared next to the man and walked a few steps past him. "Let's see how much fight you have with a severed head." The swordsman's body fell to the ground as his head rolled near the woman's feet. The woman looked back at her partner. "Shall we take our leave? We've got until tomorrow evening to arrive at the rendezvous point."

"You're one scary woman sometimes, Hitokiri." The man said, identifying the woman. Hitokiri smirked, looking at her partner.

"Are you afraid, Ashiro?"

"Shut up." Ashiro walked past Hitokiri. "Let's go." Hitokiri giggled as she followed her partner.

The sound of screams filled the air as lighting struck a group of wizards. The wizards fell to the ground, their bodies charred from the attack.

"That was fun, boys." Niya said as lighting danced on her fingertips. "We should do this again."

"If you're done playing around, we have to return to Mistress Ito." Cima said.

"Oh come on, you're always so serious. Try to have a little fun once in a while."

"I think your definition of 'fun' is different from mine. Besides, it's the different we're running late right now."

"Don't worry; we'll make it on time." Niya said as she released another stream of lighting with her hand.

Somewhere outside of Fiore, a man wearing a dark cloak was seen walking through a desert. He stopped for a second to look up at the moon. A dark shroud covered his body and he disappeared.

Back in the kingdom of Fiore, a horse carriage was traveling through a town close to Magnolia. Inside the carriage is a woman with long dark green hair that has bangs covering her right eye, wearing long black elegant dress and red lipstick on her lips. She is currently sipping a glass of champagne.

"How much longer until we arrive?" The woman asked.

"We should arrive by tomorrow evening, Madam Miyagi." The driver said, identifying the woman.

Miyagi smiled as she took another sip of her champagne. "Good." But that smile quickly the carriage came to a complete stop. "Why did we stop?" She looked outside and saw two figures standing in front of her ride. One of the figures is a tall, muscular while the other was a foot shorter and a bit leaner.

"It's good to see you again, Miyagi." The shorter figure said. "It's been a while."

"And I see you two haven't changed a bit, Tetsuya, Yosen." Miyagi said, identifying the figures.

Ito raised the crystal up towards the moon, looking at the light reflecting off of it. "It won't be now before the world of Remnant will be under my feet." She said with a twisted smile on her face as she enclosed the crystal tightly in her hand. "As for the little ones that came here to Earth Land, they will be dealt with first."

In the next morning, Team RWBY walked out of the Fairy Tail guild hall with a flyer in their hands. "Alright, it's time for Team RWBY to start their first mission as Fairy Tail members." Ruby said happily. "LET'S DO THIS!"
