Chapter 19: Countdown to Despair

A horse carriage was seen going through the forest with Miyagi, Tetsuya, and Yosen inside, enjoying the ride. The carriage came to stop in front of an old fortress like building in the forest clearing.

"We have arrived Madam Miyagi." The driver said as the doors of the carriage opened up. Tetsuya and Yosen stepped out of the carriage first.

"Thank you, Yone." Miyagi said, identifying the driver as she stepped out of the carriage. After she stepped out completely, the doors of the carriage closed as Yone stood beside his master.

"I never thought that I would see that three of you showing up would show up together." A new voice said, getting the attention of the four. It was Niya and Cima. "What the hell Miyagi? Why is one of your little puppets here? The last checked only members of our guild are allowed in this meeting."

Miyagi smirked at Niya's comment and said, "But Yone is a member of this guild. Wherever I go, he follows. Beside I didn't see the problem since you brought your little puppy with you."

Cima took offense to that. "What was that?!" he growled.

"You heard me. You're nothing more than Niya's little puppy." Miyagi's smirk grew wider as Cima's anger continued to boil.

"Now, now, can't we all just get along?" Another voice said in a teasing manner, getting the wizards' attention. They all looked at the direction of where the voice came from and saw Ashiro and Hitoriki.

"How long have you two been there?" Yosen asked the duo as they walked up to them.

"We've been here for a while now before and you showed up." Ashiro said.

"Now Miyagi, you can't be jealous Niya all of the time." Hitoriki said. "I mean it's not her fault you don't have a boyfriend." Niya and Cima blushed with Hitoriki said that.

"Whoa…whoa…whoa…what gives you that idea?!" Cima exclaimed. "Me and Niya's relationship is strictly professional!"

"Sure it is, and I'm the queen of the world. But then again, I can't really blame you for denying it. I wouldn't be caught dead

"You know how push someone's buttons, do you?" Niya said in anger. "What makes you think that I wouldn't kill you where you stand?!"

"That's simple. You wouldn't because you can't." Hitoriki said with a smirk.

"Oh really, let's test that theory then." Niya said as an orange aura surrounded her body. Then the door of the fortress opened up and the dark guild members looked on as Ito and Emi standing in the doorway.

"So you've all arrived." Ito said. "Please come inside, we have much to discuss."

Inside the fortress, the members of the dark guild gathered around the table with Ito sitting in the end and Emi standing next to her. "Now that we're settled down, shall we begin?" Ito said as she placed a device on the table. She activated the device and a hologram of a piece of shard of a crystal came out of the device. "Do any of you know what this is?"

"It looks like a piece of a crystal to me." Yosen said.

"That's where you're wrong. This is a piece of lacrima, straight from Edolas itself."

"Edolas?" Niya questioned. "Don't think I've heard of that place before."

"That's because it's not of Earth Land. Much our target, it's another world. Do you recall the event involving the Town of Magnolia about two months ago? How it suddenly disappeared? That the fact is it was brought to that by what was called the Anima. I've studied the anima and the concept behind to create one of my own and use it on the World of Remnant. And it proved to be successful." After she said that an image of four girls inside a guild hall appeared out of the device. Emi widen her eyes recognizing one of the four. It was the same girl that defeated her, Ruby.

"You mean the four brought here from Remnant are just kids?!" Miyagi exclaimed.

"They don't like much of threat to me." Tetsuya said. "Where's the danger?"

"Do not underestimate them." Ito said. "Four of our own made that mistake and look what happened to them." Emi looked away in frustration about the fact that she was one of the ones that lost to Team RWBY. "Besides, the fact that they're in Earth Land just means my theory was correct. Once more, they're adapted to Earth Land and gain a different of magic even quicker than originally anticipated. That only means that we must accelerate our plans. By this time tomorrow, we will depart for the World of Remnant."

"What should we do with your little test subjects?" Hitokiri asked.

A sinister smile formed on Ito's face. "What else but to eliminate them. I've gotten all I needed from them. They're of no use to me anymore."

"Not to worry, I'll make they're dealt with tonight." Emi said. "Besides, I've got a score to settle with a certain little red."

"Very well, if you wish to deal with them now, be my guest." Emi smirked as she left the fortress. Ito looked over at Niya, Cima, and Testsuya. "You three go along with her." The three wizards nodded as they went after Emi. "As for the rest of you, prepare for departure tomorrow. You're dismissed."

Back in Magnolia, Ruby was walking about to her team's room, thinking about her team's first mission of Fairy Tail wizards. She thought about how happy her team's clients were after they helped his town. As she was walking, she heard a sound coming from behind her. When she looked behind her shoulder, an explosion erupted and pushed her to the floor. She looked at where the explosion happened and saw a figure in the smoke.

"Hey there, Little Red." A familiar voice said. "Do you remember me?" Ruby widens her eyes, knowing whose voice that belongs to. "Perhaps this will help. Sound Burst!" Then another explosion erupted as Ruby jumped out of the smoke in her new Rose Knight Armor.

"I remember you now." The young reaper said in anger. "You're one of the Nightwing guys that attacked me and my team!"

"That's correct." The smoke cleared revealing the sound wizard Ruby fought before. "The name's Emi by the way. I don't remember you having that armor the last time we met. No matter, I'm here to get payback for last time." Ruby narrowed her eyes as she readies her scythe for battle.

Ruby: Those Nightwing guys are back. They look stronger than they were before. That's fine because we've gotten stronger too. It's not going to be like last their attack now that we Natsu and the other with us this time. Next time: Revenge
