Chapter 20: Revenge
One month has passed since Ruby and her friends had arrived in Magnolia and battled against the wizards of the dark guild, Nightwing. During their battle, Team RWBY unlocked unique magical abilities and were to defeat the dark wizards. Since then, the four huntresses underwent special training to master their magic. But a familiar enemy plans to cut their training short…
Back in Magnolia, Ruby was walking about to her team's room, thinking about her team's first mission of Fairy Tail wizards. She thought about how happy her team's clients were after they helped his town. As she was walking, she heard a sound coming from behind her. When she looked behind her shoulder, an explosion erupted and pushed her to the floor. She looked at where the explosion happened and saw a figure in the smoke.
"Hey there, Little Red." A familiar voice said. "Do you remember me?" Ruby widens her eyes, knowing whose voice that belongs to. "Perhaps this will help. Sound Burst!" Then another explosion erupted as Ruby jumped out of the smoke in her new Rose Knight Armor.
"I remember you now." The young reaper said in anger. "You're one of the Nightwing guys that attacked me and my team!"
"That's correct." The smoke cleared revealing the sound wizard Ruby fought before. "The name's Emi by the way. I don't remember you having that armor the last time we met. No matter, I'm here to get payback for last time." Ruby narrowed her eyes as she readies her scythe for battle.
Inside of Team RWBY's room, the other members of said team woke up from their slumber when they heard the explosion. "Did you guys just hear that?!" Yang shouted.
"You mean other than your shouting?" Weiss said, rubbing her eyes and not caring that Yang shot an annoyed look at her. "Yes, we've heard it."
"It sounds like it's coming from outside." Blake said, grabbing her Gambol Shroud. "Come on, we should check it out." Weiss and Yang nodded as they grabbed their weapons and followed Blake out into the hallway. Once they got out of their room, they saw Ruby was in her Rose Knight Armor, fighting someone in the hallway. Blake and Weiss widen their eyes when they saw she was fighting. It was the sound wizard that attacked them as heading they were heading for their first mission, Emi.
"RUBY!" Yang shouted, getting her sister's attention. Emi noticed the young reaper was distracted and used her sound magic to push her back.
"Well, well, the gang's all here." Emi said, looking at the team as a whole. "That's save me the trouble of coming to you. Now I can payback for the little red here but I can also avenge my comrades you've defeated as well. It's because of you, they're dead!"
The huntresses in training looked at Emi after hearing what happened to her comrades. "Hold on…" Weiss shouted at the dark wizard. "We're not the ones who killed your friends!"
"No, but we did." A new voice said as a magic circle appeared on the ceiling and a lightning bolt came out of it and struck the ground between Emi and Team RWBY. Inside the bolt were three figures, each of them bearing the emblem of the dark guild. It was the Night Wing members Niya, Cima, and Tetsuya. "The fact is that they were too weak to be one of us. So they were dealt with accordingly." Team RWBY widened their eyes to hear that they would kill their own guild mates just because they weren't strong enough.
"What the hell are you doing here?!" Emi exclaimed, looking at her guild mates. "I can handle these girls by myself."
"Oh is that right?" Niya said, looking at Emi. "Try and tell that do Mistress Ito because she's the one that ordered us to come along. She wants to make sure that you don't screw this up like the last time." Emi narrowed her eyes anger in anger at Niya's words.
'Ito…' Blake thought, remembering Kono telling about Ito during their battle. "You're talking about the leader of your guild, correct? The wizard who is known as the 'Shadow Woman', Ito." The Night Wing members looked at the cat faunus in shock that she knows the nickname that the Magic Council gave the leader.
"How do you about their leader, Blake?" Weiss questioned.
"During my battle against one of their guild members, he told me a little about their master and how she got the name." Blake answered. "In fact that the nickname should give you a hind on the kind she uses."
"Even though, so that idiot Kono gave out a little too much information." Niya said. "Since you've got something on Mistress Ito, I'm afraid allow you to live." As Niya prepared to use her magic, Cima appeared in front of Blake and grabbed her by her face. Then in a flash of lightning, the two of them disappeared. "That Cima…"
"Blake!" RWY shouted shocked about what just happened to their friend.
"I would be more concerned about what's about to happen to you!" Tetsuya shouted, charging towards the huntresses. Yang looked behind her shoulder and saw Tetsuya about to strike his palms. She quickly crossed her arms to block it but the force put into the attack pushed the blonde back.
"Damn it!" Yang shouted, feeling the power behind the attack but stood her grounds. "What did you creeps do to my friend?!" Tetsuya didn't answer the question but narrowed his eyes. "Answer me!" She threw a punch at the wizard but easily caught it, tightly grabbing her wrist. Yang threw another punch with her free hand and he caught it as well.
"Yang!" Ruby shouted at her sister. As she was about to help Yang out, she felt something creeping behind her that stopped from moving.
"Don't forget about me!" Niya said, appearing behind the red hooded reaper. Ruby slowly looked behind her shoulder and saw the dark wizard. "Hi…" Before Niya could attack, her arm and both of her legs were encased in black ice. Niya looked back and Weiss with her rapier stabbing the floor.
"Weiss!" Ruby shouted at her partner. Niya glared at the heiress for stopping her from attacking.
"Don't just stand around, you dolt!" Weiss shouted back at Ruby. "Me and Yang will deal with these two. You deal with Emi!"
"Yeah sis, we got this." Yang said as golden flames engulfed her fists. "You just take care with their friend over there."
'Those flames…' Tetsuya thought, looking the golden flames. Yang used all of the power she could muster and pushed Tetsuya through the wall near him and out of the building. Yang jumped out through the hole that she created and went after Tetsuya.
"Yang…Weiss…" Ruby said, watching her sister go after one of the wizards and Weiss keeping the other at bay. "Just be careful…" Then she turned her attention back to Emi. "Let's take this somewhere else."
"That's fine by me." Emi said. Ruby used her semblance to speed past the sound wizard as she used her Sound magic to follow her.
"You're the one that should be careful, you dunce." Weiss said quietly as the rose pedals Ruby left behind fell to the floor.
"Black ice…" Niya said, looking at the ice that is trapping her. "I never knew that someone from the Schnee family was able to produce ice like this."
That caught the heiress' attention. "How do you know my family?"
"That's because my family used to be rivals to the Schnee Dust Company." Weiss widened her eyes when she heard, causing a smirk to creep onto Niya's face. "Surprised, aren't we? That's right. I came from Remnant just like you, Atlas to be exact. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Niya Takahashi, former heiress to the Takahashi Corporation. I was until your family took everything away! It was because of your family's Dust Company that my family is out of business." The parts of Niya's body that trapping Weiss' ice started to glow and then exploded, freeing Niya from the ice. "I guess it's appropriate that you use black ice because it represents the black hearts of your cursed family."
"How dare you!" Weiss shouted. "I won't allow anyone to talk down my family like you're doing!"
"So you don't deny it?" Weiss narrowed her eyes at Niya. "You don't deny that your family must burn for what they did to me and my family! And I'll start by burying you!" Niya charged towards the Schnee heiress and an explosion erupted.
Elsewhere in the town, a bolt of lightning struck the roof of one of the buildings. When it disappeared, it showed Cima releasing his grip on Blake, causing the faunus to take a few steps back.
"Alright, who are you?!" Blake exclaimed, tightening the grip of her weapon. "And why did you bring me here?!"
"It's been a while, Sister of the White Fang." Cima said, making Blake widen her eyes. "Or should I say ex-sister, judging by the other girls you were with." Cima saw the shocked expression on Blake's face. "What's that look? You don't remember me? Perhaps this will just jog your memory." Then a dog tail came out of Cima's back as he took out a piece of mask he once wore.
"Wait…Cima…" Blake said surprised.
Cima smirked. "So you do remember me."
"You disappeared from the White Fang several years ago, shortly after Adam took over. I heard that Adam send you on a mission one night and you never returned. Why are you here? How did you ended up in Earth Land?" Blake narrowed her eyes at the other Faunus. "Why are you with a dark guild like Night Wing?!"
"It's simple really." Cima said, closing his eyes. "The truth is I left the White Fang just like you did. However, my exit wasn't as graceful as yours." Cima lifted up his shirt and showed Blake the huge scar on his chest. "This was the price I paid for. I must assume it him or that moron he made his lieutenant who told you that little white lie. I fought Adam and here you see the results from it."
"I'm so sorry." Blake said, looking away.
"Don't be…" Cima said, letting go of his shirt and putting his mask away. "I was close to dying until Mistress Ito found me. And ever since, I've became stronger under her service, strong enough to hunt that bastard and make him pay for he did." Then lightning surrounded Cima's staff. "Then I'll collect the heads of anyone who was associated with him that includes you." Blake widened her eyes with Cima said that. "Sorry but you're guilty
"So that's why you brought all the way out here, away from my team?!" Blake exclaimed.
"I assume that they know about your past and accepted you anyway. I knew that we would try to interfere if they could get through the new company that I keep. So I use my magic to make sure that we're alone. So if you don't wish to die, I suggest that you try to stop me here and now," Blake narrowed her eyes and readies her weapon. If she wants to help her friends, she has to bury a part of her past by fighting Cima.

Ruby: My rematch against Emi is about to start to get serious. I'll have to go all out and I know she'll do the same. It's time to show her how far I've gotten since our last battle. I'm not going to give up! Next time: The Fury of Night Wing. What's that the shadow coming towards us?!
Hey guys, this story is back. I hope you guys enjoyed this new chapter. I will try to post more chapters daily during the month of November as well as starting the Bleach and RWBY crossover.
