When I woke up that morning I found a note next to my bed with a necklace with a black rose pendent. The note read:
Ariella,
Come to Hades throne room. Wear the necklace and press the center.

Curious I get dressed, put on the necklace and press the center. Beautiful armor unfolds from the black rose. It is a full set, I am completely covered in shining black armor with black gloves, a black sword at my waist, black plated knee high boots, and a beautiful black helmet that completely covers my face so that you can't my identity. There are also armor covering the base of my wings where they are the most sensitive. I love it, its the best gift, and the best part is that it ways almost nothing, so its like I'm not even wearing armor.
I keep all of my new armor on as I walk to the palace throne room, when I enter the throne room I kneel and bow in the center.
"Lord Hades, Father" I say.
"So I take it that you like your new armor?", asks Thanatos
"I do", I say as I rise.
" We have a mission for you, there is trouble outside the borders of Camp half blood. It needs protection as the current campers are preparing for war. I will not be aiding in the war but you are a demigod, so you will be needed to protect the camp while they are preparing. You may help in the war itself, but you must protect the camp until then. Do not reveal your identity unless asked to by Chiron." Hades order
"When am I supposed to leave? What cabin should I stay in as Father doesn't have a cabin?", I ask
"You are to leave now, you will be staying in the Hades cabin, remember do not reveal your identity unless asked by Chiron." Father replies.
I nod, and step into the shadow of Hades throne. I appear right outside of the camp borders at dusk, there is no trouble that I can see, so I run and leap into the air. As I'm circling, I see harpies trying to break the barrier to get into the camp. There were already campers shooting at the harpies and wind spirits with bows, but no damage was being done.
"Stop! You are not to enter the camp!" I shout at the harpies and wind spirits.
"Is a little girl going to try to stop then?", sneers one of the wind spirits
"I am under orders to protect this camp, and all who reside within its borders. Any who try to prevent me from keeping them safe will find themselves with a one way ticket to tartarus!" I reply.
I'm not sure if the campers below me appreciated the part where I have to protect them, as they had started talking to each other about it once I said that. Anyways, I don't have time to think about that as the wind spirits and the harpies started to attack. All my training for the last 2 and a half years was not for nothing. As I flew towards them I gather the shadows on the ground from the trees and stated using them as extensions of my arms and my sword. I finished them them within seconds. As the golden monster dust settled I slowly flew down to land in front of Chiron.
"Who are you? Why have you come here?", shouted some of the campers
"I am under orders to not reveal my identity unless asked by Chiron" I answer emotionless
"Who are you?" question Chiron
"My name is Ariella. I have been ordered to protect the camp while you prepare for war against the titans. When the war starts I am to aid you in battle." I reply
"And who has ordered to to help us?" demanded a boy with dark hair and sea green eyes
"Percy, don't be rude. But Ariella can you tell us who told you to help us?" asks a blonde girl with grey eyes.
"My father." I reply simply.
"Who is your father?", asked who I now know as Percy.
"Death", I reply smiling.
Silence, you could have heard a pin drop.
"Okay so your father is Thanatos, you are here to protect the camp until we go to war in which you are to aid us in. Until then where are you going to stay?" Asks a very pale boy, with black hair, very dark eyes, and wearing all black.
"I have been told I will be staying in the Hades cabin" I say
"So you'll be in my cabin" the boy says
"Who are you?" I inquire
"I'm Nico di Angelo, son of Hades, king of ghosts." The boy replies
"Oh" I say as I tap the black rose at my collar bone to remove my armor.
"I'm Ariella, daughter of Thanatos, princess of shadows." I say bowing slightly as my armor finishes refolding into my black rose necklace.
" So when should I start my patrol in the mornings and evenings?" I ask Chiron.
"9:30 in the mornings, 7 in the evenings, so that you can attend the camp fire at night. Nico, please take her to the Hades cabin to get settled, then show her aroun please." Chiron says
Later, after going to the Hades cabin, which was black with green fire in the torches, Nico brought me to the dinning pavilion. Everyone stopped talking to look at me as I walked in.
"Why do you think we need protecting?" Yelled a girl from the Ares table
"I was ordered to protect the camp, because I have been trained to be the best." I say emotionless
"Well I don't think you could beat any of us, we have been training for this war four 5 years." The Ares girl says
"If you would like we could dual tomorrow, at 9:15 a.m. Bring someone else with you, you'll need to the back up." I really coldly.
When I finally get my dinner and to my father and Hades I sit down at the Hades table.
"You shouldn't have done that, Clarisse will make sure that she wins the dual tomorrow." Nico says as I start eating.
"Who's Clarisse?" I ask
"The Ares girl you just challenged to a dual." He replies.
"Oh. I'll be fine. Don't worry, she'll need that other person, though it might've be wise if she brought 2 people instead of 1. My father did not train me to be fight a few monsters, but dozens. I've been training for 2 and a half years I can take an Ares girl and her second." I reply
"I hope you're right..." Mutters Nico
