Disclaimer: I don't own PJO

Ariella's POV

When I got to Lincoln Tunnel the hunters had already spread out in strategic spots, so I went to go stand in the shadows behind Thalia.

"Who's your godly parent? You seem more friendly than a child of Hades would be." she asks

"I'm a daughter of Thanatos."

"Ah, how'd you come to camp?"

"I was sent to protect the camps while they prepared for war." I answered

"Have you ever thought about joining the hunt?" she asks suddenly

"I don't know" I reply confused

"Well if we survive this war, think about it" she says

-15 minutes later-

"I'm going to go check the shadows" I tell Thalia as I walk into the tunnel

"What do you mean you need to check the shadows? There's nothing hiding in the shadows." one of the hunters calls out

"Shadows are everywhere, so I'm checking to see if any of the other demigods need backup" I answer as I enter the tunnel.

"Shadows, show me which demigods groups are being attacked." I commanded, switching to Greek

My shadows showed me most of the demigod groups, but it seemed that the Apollo cabin needed help.

"Thank you," I tell the shadows

"Thalia! I need to go to Williamsburg Bridge, the Apollo cabin needs help. Think you'll be fine here?" I call out when I leave the tunnel

"Go, we'll be fine here." she answers.

I tap my black rose necklace and my armor unfolds, leaving my helmet off. I gather the shadows, my eyes turning completely black, and I fly straight into a shadow.

I fly out of the shadow of one of the support structures near the Williamsburg Bridge, ans fly straight toward the bridge where the 2 sides are fighting.

When up get up to the bridge I land and start walking toward the middle of the 2 sides, when I hear Percy shouting.

"Get back!" He slashed the air in a wide arc, driving the other demigods away from Annabeth. "No one touches her!"

"Interesting," Kronos said

He towered above Percy on his skeletal horse, his scythe in one hand.

"Bravely fought, Percy Jackson," he said. "But it's time to surrender... or the girl dies."

"Percy, don't," Annabeth groaned. Her shirt was soaked with blood.

"Blackjack! Percy yelled.

As fast as light, the pegasus swooped down and clamped his teeth on the straps of Annabeth's armor. They soared away over the river before the enemy could even react.

Kronos snarled. "Some day soon, I am going to make pegasus soup. But in the meantime..." He dismounted, his scythe glistening in the dawn light. "I'll settle for another dead demigod."

"Hello cousin," I say as I stop to stand between the 2 groups.

Percy whips his head around to look at me as Kronos says "You are not my cousin."

"Well, maybe not cousin, but more of first cousin once removed, as I am a granddaughter of Erebus and Nyx. Who I believe are siblings of your mother," I tell Kronos

"Why are you here?" he snarls at me. "Have you come to join me and my army?"

"Hmm, that depends. What could you offer me? These demigods, I was sent to protect them, but even then they have only looked at me with fear and pulled a 'prank' that left me unable to move without pain for 3 days. So what could you offer me that will convince me to turn my back on them?" I ask Kronos

"Ariella, no you can't-" Percy starts.

"Shut up Percy, this is between Kronos and I." I interrupt.

"You can have your revenge on the demigods who hurt you, and can help tear down Olympus and kill the gods!" Kronos says

"Fine but I won't swear any oath. I only want revenge on the demigods and Thanatos for taking me from my family and making me live in the Underworld." I tell Kronos

"How does it feel to be betrayed, Percy?" As I walk away toward Kronos' army

Kronos used Percy's distraction to attack but Percy met his first strike with Riptide. The impact shook the entire bridge, but he held my ground. Kronos's smile wavered.

With a yell, he kicked his legs out from under him. His scythe skittered across the pavement. Percy stabbed downward, but he rolled aside and regained his footing. His scythe flew back to his hands.

"So . . ." He studied him, looking mildly annoyed. "You had the courage to visit the Styx. I had to pressure Luke in many ways to convince him. If only you had supplied my host body instead . . . But no matter. I am still more powerful. I am a TITAN."

He struck the bridge with the butt of his scythe, and a wave of pure force blasted me backward. Cars went careening. Demigods—even Luke's own men—were blown off the edge of the bridge. Suspension cords whipped around, and Percy skidded halfway back to Manhattan.

He got unsteadily to his feet. The remaining Apollo campers had almost made it to the end of the bridge, except for Michael Yew, who was perched on one of the suspension cables a few yards away from him, his last arrow was notched in his bow.

"Michael, go!" Percy screamed.

"Percy, the bridge!" he called. "It's already weak!"

"Break it!" Michael yelled. "Use your powers!"

He stabbed Riptide into the bridge. The magic blade sank to its hilt in asphalt. Salt water shot from the crack like he'd hit a geyser. He pulled out my blade and the fissure grew. The bridge shook and began to crumble. Chunks the size of houses fell into the East River. Kronos's demigods cried out in alarm and scrambled backward. Some were knocked off their feet. Within a few seconds, a fifty-foot chasm opened in the Williamsburg Bridge between Kronos and me.

The vibrations died. Kronos's men crept to the edge and looked at the hundred-and-thirty-foot drop into the river.

The Titan lord studied the problem. He looked behind him at the rising sun, then smiled across the chasm. He raised his scythe in a mock salute. "Until this evening, Jackson."

He mounted his horse, whirled around, and galloped back to Brooklyn, followed by his warriors.

I smirked at Percy when he realized that I was leaving with Kronos. I tapped my necklace and my helmet unfolded. I took a running leap and launched into the air to follow Kronos.

Haha, I bet you didn't see that one coming! please review!
