Trunks wasn't too keen on Gohan when he saw him walking with Kagome. Even if the older boy had taken off pretty quickly, and in that lame Saiyaman get up. But he was excited at the possibility of spending the day with Kagome and his best friend. He could hardly wait to ask his mom. Luckily for him, time ticked by fast. And Bulma had barely set a foot in the main house when he bombarded her with the request.

Kagome giggled in the background and quickly took over the explanation when the blue haired genius only gave her son a confused look. "Would it be alright if Trunks joined Gohan, his brother and I tomorrow? We're going to Yamcha's game and probably the carnival afterwards."

Bulma shot her son a sly look and said, "No problem as long as you finish all of your schoolwork little man."

"Mom," Trunks whined at the nickname, embarrassed. Laughing along with Bulma, Kagome bade the two goodbye before taking off. She still had her own homework to take care of.

"You know, it's good to that she and Gohan are getting along," Bulma thought aloud. Trunks stuck out his tongue in disgust at that, earning another laugh from his mother. "C'mon, I'll help you get the edge on Gohan."

He shot his mother a confused look, but she only ruffled his hair and beckoned him to follow her into her workshop.
