They agreed to meet up outside Capsule Corps before the game, and Kagome was the last to show. Goten was clinging shyly to his leg and Trunks was rocking nervously on his feet, his hands settled behind his back.
Gohan was about to suggest heading to her place when she came running up to them, decked out in a yellow Taitans jersey and matching ball cap. She had a trio of matching hats in her arms. "Sorry I'm late, guys."
"No problem," Gohan quickly answered before introducing the young demi-saiyan still attached to his leg. "This is my younger brother, Goten."
Kagome kneeled down so that she was eye level with the young boy. Offering a friendly smile she cheerfully spoke, "Hey there, it's nice to meet you."
"Hello," he shyly replied. Kagome's grin widened as she placed one of the hats on his head, which he happily accepted. "Here you go these are for you guys."
"Thanks, Kagome," Gohan said, accepting a hat as she stood back up.
"Yeah thanks," Trunks spoke, moving to stand between the two teens. But instead of accepting one of the hats, he offered Kagome a small, neatly wrapped gift. With a bright blush on his face, he managed to mumble out, "Happy birthday."
Gohan froze and paled significantly when he heard those words. He hadn't known it was her birthday.
She didn't notice the older half-saiyan's minor freak-out, and gracefully accepted the gift from the young boy. Ruffling his hair fondly, she said, "Aww, thank you Trunks. I didn't even know you knew."
Trunks shyly shuffled his feet as he replied, "I hope you like it."
Opening the gift, she found a simply made charm bracelet. There were already two charms attached, the Capsule Corps logo and a small sword. Kneeling down again, she pulled Trunks into a quick hug. "I love it. Thank you."
