chapter 2
They went to find Optimus and Elita-1. They were wondering how the two of them would react to the news.
Hot shot was worried that his father and mother would say. He hoped everything would be alright. Override was just as nervous about it as Hot shot. "Hot shot I'm nervous too but I know everything will be alright." Override said.
"Okay," Hot shot said.
They found Optimus and Elita in the command center they had just finished talking to Jetfire who left to patrol.
"Hello Hot shot and Override what is it?" Optimus asked.
"What is it son?" Elita asked.
"Mom, Dad Override and I have something to tell you." Hot shot said.
"Really what is it?" Optimus asked.
"What do you have to tell us?" Elita asked.
"We got back from seeing Red alert." Override said.
"Is everything alright?" Optimus asked.
"Are you both alright?" Elita asked.
"Yes, everything is fine." Hot shot said.
"Okay now what did you have to tell me?" Optimus said.
"So, what is it?" Elita asked.
"Well Red alert ran a test on Override's energon and..." Hot shot said.
"And what?" Optimus said.
"He told us I'm pregnant." Override said.
"I'm going to be a grandfather?" Optimus asked.
"I'm going to be a grandmother!" Elita said.
"Yes," Hot shot said.
"This is great! How far along?" Optimus asked.
"About 7 weeks. So almost 2 months." Override said.
"That means about 10 months to go." Optimus said.
"Yes that is quite sometime." Elita said.
"Yes the little one should be here soon." Override said.
"I'm very excited about being a father." Hot shot said.
"Is that why you fainted when Red alert told us?" Override asked.
Hot shot waved his hands and mouthed. 'Don't tell him that!'
"Don't worry son I fainted when I found out you were coming along," Optimus said.
"You did?" Hot shot asked he was surprised that his father would faint.
"Yes I did." Optimus said.
"Yes he did fell right to floor, I never saw Optimus do that before in my life." Elita said.
"I'm pretty excited too." Override said.
"Override we must tell your parents too." Hot shot said.
"Yes we have too." Override said.
When they told her parents the good news. They were thrilled about having a grandchild.
"We have to tell the rest of the crew." Optimus said.
"I wonder how they will react." Hot shot said.
The rest of crew was shocked. But after a couple of minutes they began to congratulate the soon to be parents.
"Congrats Hot shot." Bud said.
"Congratulations." Coby said.
"This is wonderful Congratulations." Lori said.
Landmine slapped Hot shot on the back. "I bet your kid will be jut as hard headed as you." Landmine said.
"Very funny," Hot shot said.
"So how long are transformers pregnant?" Bud asked.
"Transformers are pregnant for 12 months in other words one year." Red alert said. "Override is almost two months pregnant, which means she most like got pregnant sometime in early August." he said.
"So the baby will come sometime next year." Lorie said.
"Yes and our infants our called sparklings but they are the same thing." Red alert said.
Override wobbled a little. "I feel a little dizzy." Override said.
Hot shot and Red alert helped Override to a chair. Then Red alert gave her some regular energon.
"Is she going to be okay?" Clocker asked.
"Yes Clocker she's going to be fine dizziness is normal." Red alert said.
After a couple of days Override was taking the prenatal vitamins and eating right. She also made sure to get some exercise the kind of exercise and amount that Red alert would allow.
She even talked to her mother every now and again on the vid com. Her mother went through it before so she knew what to expect. She even talked to Elita-1 as well since she was Hot shot's mother so she had someone else to turn too on this.
Every morning morning she woke up feeling nauseous. This morning she was over the toilet throwing up and today was suppose to be her first prenatal check up. It was in a few minutes.
She was not enjoying this.
Hot hot was by her side and rubbing back.
"Oh..." she said.
"Easy sweetheart." Hot shot said.
"I think it finally stopped." Override said. Then she looked sick again. "Hold the phone." she said and threw up again.
Her nausea went away after 20 minutes. Hot shot handed her a towel.
"Thank you." she said then wiped her mouth.
Then they headed to the medical bay. "Sorry we're late I had a bad case of morning sickness." Override said.
"Don't worry about I understand." Red alert said.
Everything checked out great. Now it was time for the ultra sound. Red alert put a warm gel on Override's middle. Then he rubbed the wand all over it. The monitor was turned on and a small little thing was on the screen and Red alert smiled. "Your sparkling is doing great I can see the spark pulsing." Red alert said.
Hot shot and Override were happy to hear this there little sparkling was doing alright.
Override was following Red alerts orders. She made sure to do so.
Both Hot shot and Override were reading books and pamphlets on pregnancy for both genders so they can be prepared for it.
Override couldn't go out of the base to often because she would have to transform and Red alert told Transforming when she was pregnant wasn't a good idea.
She had also been very emotional like most expectant mothers.
Override was going to see Red alert soon for the next check up and for testing.
Red alert took a look and ran the tests. "It looks like both you and the sparkling are doing just fine." he said.
"That is good to hear." Override said.
"Yes it is." Hot shot said.
Now it was late fall and the kids were celebrating the fall holidays.
Today the kids came over to the base.
Lori came up to Override. "Hey big sis how are you and the sparkling doing?" she asked.
"I got back from Red alert about an hour ago and he said, we are both doing fine." Override said.
"That's great." Lori said.
Bud came up to her. "So is it a boy or a girl?" he asked.
"We don't know yet." Hot shot said.
"When will you know?" Coby asked.
"They will be able to find out in about two more months that is if they want to find out." Red alert said.
"So they can keep the gender a surprise and find out the day it's born likes some humans do?" Lori asked.
"Yes they can because their the parent they get to decided." Red alert said.
"We have to talk about it." Hot shot said.
"Yes, we do." Override said.
Once in their room they began talking about for a couple of minutes they decided.
"Let's be surprised." Hot shot said.
"Agreed." Override said.
