chapter 5
Hot shot woke up and looked around the medical bay. He remembered why he was in there his wife Override had just given birth. Hot shot looked in the medical bay crib were his little daughter was.
So small and sweet. She was just as beautiful as her mother.
Override told him when they bonded he was now the co-leader of Velocitron. They were both the leaders of the planet. They even told Velocitron of the bonding and the bots on the planet celebrated and sent them gifts.
They wished for Hot shot and Override to return when the danger was over and rule the speed planet Velocitron to the best of their abilities.
They told the planet of Velocitron about Override's pregnancy. The planet was happy to hear it. They celebrated and hoped a healthy sparkling would be born.
He knew this probably meant his daughter would be the future leader of the planet.
Hot shot knew they had to call Override's parents to tell them the news.
Swiftstar was making little sounds that sparklings make. Hot shot went over to the med bay crib. "Hey sweetie it's daddy." Hot shot said. Hot shot offered her his finger which she grabbed.
Red alert saw the cute moment. He could tell that Swiftstar had Hot shot wrapped around her little finger. Hot shot saw Red alert out of the corner of his eye. "Hi Red alert," Hot shot said.
"Hey Hot shot I see you and the sparkling are awake." Red alert said.
"Yes we are and she is so precious." Hot shot said.
After a couple of hours Override woke and began to nurse Swiftstar again.
Later that day Override had Hot shot contact Override's parents to tell them about the birth.
Speedup and Runout said a celebration would begin and that everyone on planet Velocitron would send presents to the sparkling. "Does she really need a lot of gifts she's only a day old." Hot shot said.
"Maybe not but it's Velocitronian tradition." Speedup said.
Sure enough gifts started coming in for Swiftstar.
After a few days the humans came to the base and they saw a sleep deprived Hot shot. "Hey Hot shot we heard about the sparkling." Bud said.
"Yes it must be great." Coby said.
"Yes the sparkling must be very sweet." Lori said.
"It's great being a father, a bit nerve wrecking, nice, shocking, surprising, wonderful and, frightening. *Sigh* Fatherhood is a lot tougher than I thought, I haven't got much sleep since Override had the sparkling. Kind of think of it neither of us have." Hot shot said.
Override brought little Swiftstar in. "Here she is kids." Override said.
"She is so cute!" the kids said.
They heard snoring and they saw Hot shot leaning against the wall fast asleep.
"Poor Hot shot he must be exhausted." Bud said.
"I'm tired too." Override said.
"You must be." Lori said.
Swiftstar started crying. "It's time for Swiftstar to be nursed." Override said and began to breastfeed Swiftstar.
"Wow she is hungry." Coby said.
When Swiftstar finished Override burped her.
The next day Override's parents came to visit for a couple of days.
"Where is she?" Speedup asked.
"Here she is." Override said showing them Swiftstar who was in her arms.
"She is a little cutie pie." Runout said.
"Look at her she is a little angel." Speedup said.
a week passed by quickly now Override and Hot shot were starting to get a hold of being parents. All the Autobots watched her when her parents needed to rest. Old Landmine was sweet with her.
"Sweet as energon sugar," Landmine cooed while holding Swiftstar.
Jetfire also loved little Swiftstar. He would play with her by shaking a rattle. "Cutchie, cutchie coo!" Jetfire said said in silly voice as he shook the rattle.
Optimus would sometimes be found reading her a story.
Elita would sometimes sing her the lullaby she sang to Hot shot when he was a sparkling.
Other than that Swiftstar's main care came from her parents.
Since Override was on maternity leave Hot shot was the one who went out to do missions or fight the cons.
Whenever Hot shot came back from a mission he would kiss Override then pick up Swiftstar and say: "How is my little princess?"
Swiftstar enjoyed being held by her father. "Looks like someone is daddy's girl." Lori said.
"She most certainly is." Override said.
Lori, Coby and Bud took a photo of Swiftstar and put in a picture frame that said 'Daddy's little princess.' Hot shot kept that photo on table by his side of the bed. He loved that photo very much.
A week later the base was a mess so the bots decided to start cleaning. The bots and humans were using cleaners, Override didn't want little Swiftstar in the area because she was being so fussy and an accident my happen.
So Optimus allowed Override and Hot shot to take like Swiftstar out for some fresh air as long as they were careful because of humans and the Decepticons. They found a nice meadow and they sat down under a tree to relax.
Swiftstar was amazed by the clouds going by and the singing birds. Butterfly flitted over and landed on little Swiftstar's face.
"Looks like that butterfly thinks our daughter is pretty flower." Hot shot said laughing.
"You are so silly." Override said.
Then the butterfly flew away.
The little family was unaware that the Decepticon Thundercracker was watching.
"I better tell Megatron about this." Thundercracker said.
Hot shot and Override didn't even notice Thundercracker.
More butterflies came by and land on one of the three bots or on a nearby flower. They little creatures didn't seem frightened by the big robots.
Swiftstar began to yawn. "It's almost time for her nap." Override said.
"So we better head back." Hot shot said.
Once they made it back to base it was all clean. Override placed her in the bassinet and turned on the baby monitor. Then quietly tip toed out of the room.
They told the others about the friendly and brave little butterflies who landed on them with little hesitation.
"Butterflies can be like that." Lori said.
Everyone was still unaware of what Thundercracker saw.
Thundercracker told Megatron what he saw.
"So Hot shot and Override have a sparkling. So now my foe Optimus is grandfather." Megatron said.
"If you capture the sparkling you can get what you want from the Autobots." Starscream said.
"Yes it would be a good idea we can raise her to be a Decepticon. I have just the plan." Megatron said.
