"Ok, let's tr-y…this one!" Donnie exclaimed dabbing some mutagen formula on to a cotton pad before placing a small amount on to the skin of her forearm.

Alice cringed when he applied it, expecting her arm to explode or something when it touched her skin.

When she felt him dab the formula and felt nothing she opened her eyes again looking down at the purple goop on her skin.

Donnie stood straight and folded his arms with a smirk. "How does this one feel?"

Alice closed her eyes again and tried to concentrate on making herself disappear, literally. She sighed and shook her head.

Everyone was gathered around, watching Donnie experiment on Alice with his concoctions, trying to cure her mutation.

Raph stood in the far back, not enjoying it one bit, his face tightened when Donnie applied the formula and only relaxed when he waited, hoped for one of them to work.

Alice blew a lock of hair from her face with a sharp exhale before her brow knitted.

"Is it supposed to sting?" She cocked an eyebrow up at Donnie.

Donnie's face fell. "No…NO!" He paused before frantically rushing for a sanitary wipe off the desk.

Raph reached it first and started to gently wipe the mutagen off of Alice's arm without looking up at her. He blamed himself for the accident that caused her mutation; she didn't deserve to be treated like this…

His hand stopped wiping and looked up when he felt Alice's eyes on him. "I think it's gone Raph…" She said smiling warmly.

Raph felt foolish and stood up straight throwing the wipe at Donnie's face. It splatted against the wall when Donnie dodged it.

"There's got to be something I'm missing…" Donnie thought out loud putting a finger to his chin.

"Come on Donnie, that's enough. You've tried twenty samples on her in the last hour…" Leo reasoned.

"Yeah but…" Donnie started.

"It's alright, I know you're trying, but you've got bigger things to worry about." Alice started before looking up at Donnie. "I'm not the only one who needs this, 'Retro-mutagen'". She mimicked the speak marks after the last word.

"I can deal with this thing until then, Master Splinter and- what was her name? Karai?" She continued.

Donnie's shoulders slumped slightly before nodding.

"They need it more then me, besides, I haven't had an "episode" since that…night." She smiled warmly at him.

Mikey whooshed in next to Donnie whispering. "How come she gets to use the finger thing after words and I can't" He whined under his breathe.

Donnie's face turned un-amused. "Because you don't know what they mean…" He grumbled.

There was a moment of silence before Mikey scowled and slowly moved away. "Touche…"

Alice rolled her eyes.

"Just give me time and I'll come up with something. With Shredder out of the city or at least as far as we know…I can finally concentrate on making this work!" He said triumphantly.

"I think you just sighed up to be Donnie's permanent guinea pig…" Leo said sarcastically.

Alice opened her mouth to speak, but a loud noise stopped her. The whole sewer was shaking and a loud roar echoed the tunnels around them.

"What the shell is that!?" Mikey squeed hiding behind Leo, his head tucking into his shell slightly.

Everyone started to loose balance when something burst through the concrete wall behind them, rubble crumbling around them and dust filling Donnie's lab.

When it suddenly silenced, everyone coughed and fanned the dust before turning to the back wall. The Dust started to clear revealing a huge 4X4 truck with military colours lodged in the 'new' opening of the concrete wall.

"Oh shi-" Alice started, the last part covered by the sound of the top of the vehicle busting open, a fist appearing out of the hole before grabbing the edge and whisking something out of the top.

The dust still clouded the room, everyone started looking around completely on guard except for Alice who looked un-amused next to Raph.

"Stay behind me Alice…" Raph grumbled to her.

"I don't think that's necessary Raph…" Alice said casually.

"Stay on guard my sons." Splinter was on guard in-between everyone.

"How did they even find us?" Leo scowled his swords out in front of him, his white eyes scanning the room.

"Seriously guys…it's just-" Alice was interrupted.

"Could it be Shredder?" Donnie asked, his staff out and ready.

"I don't think ramming a military truck into our lair is his style Donnie…" Raph grumbled.

"It was just a suggestion!" Donnie snapped.

"Guys…" Alice tried to continue.

"Maybe it's the government coming to take us away for EXPERIMENTS!" Mikey whaled, whipping his nuchucks around frantically.

"Ow! Mikey! Stay on guard!" Leo scorned rubbing his head.

"Guy's it's just…ok no one's listening…I'm just gunna shut up now…"

"What was that Alice?" Leo asked in the dust cloud.

The sound of a gun cocking caught everyone attention behind them. When they turned around the dust cloud revealed a figure standing on the bonnet of the vehicle, holding a giant missile launcher off of their shoulder.

"You wanna use MY Ali-kins for your sick experiments? Over YOUR dead bodies!" A female voice threatened.

"Ali-kins?" Everyone repeated around Alice.

When the dust finally settled, everyone could see the tall woman standing on the car. Her head was ridiculous long and hung on a ponytail, it was a brunette colour but finished in red toward the ends of her hair. Her black leather jacket and trousers had a shine finish and had bright red stripes along the arms and legs. Which disappeared into the tops of her large military boots and biker gloves.

"Hello Robin…" Alice grumbled.

"Robin?" Everyone repeated against looking between the new figure with the intruding vehicle and Alice.

There was a stale silence before a thud sounded when the figure dropped the missile launcher on the ground and belted off of the bonnet bounding towards Alice.

Everyone's guard was back up as she made her way to Alice. Alice was unmoving and everyone's eyes widened when she was tugged into an insanely tight embrace.

"ALI-KINS!" The woman exclaimed whizzing Alice around in her arms whilst rubbing her cheek against hers in a cuddly fashion.

All four turtles including Splinter slumped forward, their weapons hitting the ground as they stared wide eyes and mouths open at the scene in front of them. Unsure what to think.

"I was so worried about you! When I heard you had gone missing I made my way over here as fast as I could!" Robin words merged with the speed she spoke in.

"It's nice to see you too Robin…" Alice grumbled casually swaying limply in her friend's arms as she flung her around.

The woman, Robin, finally pulled away and started to inspect Alice over. "You ok? You're not hurt are you? What are you doing down here? Why aren't you working? AH! WHAT ARE THOSE THINGS!?" Robin stopped fussing over Alice and moved in front of her snapping a knife from her hip.

"Which one do you want me to answer first?" Alice sighed.

"Uh Alice? A little explanation…maybe…?" Leo said as everyone leant back away from the 'crazy lady'.

"Alice?" robin repeated relaxing slightly. "You know these freaks?"

"FREAKS!?" Raph snapped, blowing his top. He started to march towards her with fire in his eyes, only Leo's arm holding him back, but his feet still moving across the floor….moon-walking on the spot, unintentionally.

"Uh, maybe some introduction is in order?" Leo said reasonably.

"We are ninja, mutated turtles…" Leo started.

"Dude, that doesn't make us sound cool at all…" Mikey scorned from behind him.

Leo just stared him down before continuing. "We rescued Alice when she was being chased by her Sisters cult, helped her heal and kept her safe-had a huge battle when her sister joined up with our arch enemy which almost killed us-Alice killed her sister forcing our enemy to flee and has been pretty much living with us ever since." Leo panted after his ramble, gulping when he saw the woman's eye glaring at him for even speaking.

Leo started to shift behind Master splinter. "Oh and he's dating her…" He quickly said pointing to Raph before disappearing behind the giant rat.

Robin's glare focused on Raph then.

"Uhhhh…" Raph just murmured before whizzing behind Donnie. Pointing at him over his shoulder.

"He's been experimenting on her!" Raph's voice came from behind Donnie.

"Wha-?! I-!" Donnie gulped when he felt the crazy-lady's gaze burn into him.

"Uh- I've been trying to cure her! Coz-uh…HE! Mutated her!" Donnie exclaimed pointing to Mikey then shriveling back, his head ducking into his shell.

Mikey gave off a 'meep' sound before gulping. "Uhhhh...LOOK OVER THERE! A CAT MADE OUT OF ICE-CREAM!"

Robin actually turned around to find a strawberry coloured cat sat on the table licking itself. "Meow."

Robin snapped her head back to where the others where to find them gone. Only the dust was still spinning form their ninja exit.

Robin sighed heavily and turned to Alice. "Alright, what's been going on with you? I leave you for just a few months and you've killed your sister moved into the sewers and sleeping with a mutant turtle…explain?" She ordered crossing her arms over her chest.

Alice smiled awkwardly rubbing the back of her head. "Well, you see…"

Whilst Alice was finishing up explaining Robin was pacing back and forth in the rubble. Alice was sat on the table her eyes droopy getting exhausted just by explaining what had happened in the last few weeks.

"So Eris went completely over the edge huh?" Robin finally said leaning against the table Alice was sat on sighing heavily.

"Completely…" Alice repeated.

"I should have bee here…" Robin grumbled.

"Don't do that. It's done." Alice said sadly.

There was an awkward silence; the four turtles had their head pressed up against the lab door listening into the conversation.

"Dudes, she left out the part where she climbed through the vents completely naked…that's like…the best part…OW!" Mikey whined under his breath.

"That's just the beginning of your pain if ya don't shut up!" Raph scorned.

"Guys, seriously shut-up they'll hear us!" Leo scorned. His eyes widened when his stomach gave off a very loud grumble, followed by everyone else echoing afterwards.

"Oh man…so hungry…" Mikey whined. "How long do you think they're going to be in there…"

"So how's the re-con going?" Alice finally said breaking the silence.

Robin sighed. "You know I would tell you if I could." Which meant, 'Not good'.

Alice turned to look at her. "Yeah, I know if you told me you'd have to kill me." Which meant. 'How many?'

"I'm sure I've told you enough times now…" 'Too many.'

"Yeah…" 'I'm sorry…'

More silence filled the room before the door creaked open revealing four turtle-heads peeping around the frame.

"Uh Alice…we were just wondering…if uh…" Leo started trying to think of the words.

When a loud rumble echoed in the room against the door Alice understood and smiled shaking her head.

"I'll get cooking." She announced jumping off the table.

"Alright!" The turtles said before whizzing out the door to sit at the table.

Slice started to walk towards the door but stopped turning to Robin. "Hungry?"

Robin smiled and nodded. "Starving."

When they left the room Alice called out. "Who wants pizza!?"

"PIZZA!" The turtle brothers cheered at the table, bids at the ready.

Robin was observing the casual banter between everyone at the table. The fact that they were mutant animals was for some reason not as odd as how well they knew Alice.

For as long as she'd known her, she had never made friends easily, she was bullied in school and kept to herself. It was odd to see her so…open with them.

Her mind turned to the time they first met in primary school…

"Give me my books back!" A small voice cracked with tears cried and a little girl jumped up and down.

"You're so short for you age! How did you even make it into this year! You belong with the toddlers!" The taller thug teased as he swung the little girls books above her out of her reach.

"Give them back! I'm going to be late for class!" She whined.

"Who cares, I wanna see you beg for them!" The thug said darkly grinning down at the little girl.

The little girl said nothing and stared down at the ground her arms shaking at her sides and her hair curtaining her face as it hung.

One of the other thugs pushed the helpless girl forward until she was on her knees. "You heard the man, beg for your books!" He chuckled.

"P-Please can I-" She started, her voice small and defeated.

"What's that short-stuff! We can't hear you! Beg louder!" The thug dropped the books in a puddle and started to stomp on them twisting his foot so it ripped the spine and fanned the pages out in the mucky water.

The little girl squeezed her eyes closed wished the tears would stop rolling down her cheeks and she yelled. "Please! Can I have my-!" Her words were stopped when she heard a thud and one of the thud exclaim in pain.

She looked up to see someone had rammed a long stick into the thug's ribs knocking him back into the large puddle behind him. The little girl's eyes widened at the sight of long brown hair with flecks of red flicker through the air like fire.

"Why don't you pick on someone your own size!" The girl scorned walking up to the thug and slamming the end of the stick down onto his chest and twisting it.

"Ugh! Get off me freak!" The thug cried from under the force of the girls stick.

The girl chuckled putting more force on the end, the next sound shut them both up.

"STOP IT!" The little girl cried from behind them. They looked over at her. She was panting, stood up and her face went from afraid to determined.

"Stop it now!" She said again more like an order.

The older girl didn't know what to think, she thought she was doing something good but…something in that little girls eyes made her feel…

"Argh! He's not worth it anyway!" The older girl said moving away from him but not without hitting his chest once with the end of the stick she had.

The thug tumbled up and started to walk away with his friends. The little girl calmed down and knelt down to her book in the water picking up the massed pages.

The older one watched as she did so and dropped her stick walking over to the puddle and helping her collect the pages.

"Here…" She said handing the little girl a group of mucky pages, looking away with a slight pout on her face.

The little girl smiled and took the pages. "Thank you!" She said sweetly, her smile warm as she looked up at the older girl.

"My name's robin by the way. So, what's yours anyway?" The older girl said shrugging.

"I'm Alice." She said sweetly before standing up straight with her dirty books and pages gathered in her arms.

The older girl smiled down at her. "Want me to walk you to class?" She finally offered shrugging again.

"What about your class?" Alice asked tilting her head to the side.

"Class? Ha! I don't even go to school here!" Robin laughed before bending over to pick up her stick.

"Where do you go to school then?" Alice asked.

"It's that school behind the warehouse just down the street." Robin said pointing to the position with her stick.

"Don't you need to be there?"

"Nah! I know more then the teacher any day!" Robin exclaimed with a smirk on her face.

"Everyone needs school, even if you know a lot. School just helps you know?" Alice said smiling up at Robin.

Robin just looked down at her before pulling a credulous face. "Yeah well, School doesn't help me…"

"I could help you if you want?" Alice offered.

"You wanna help me? You're younger then me!" Robin exclaimed leaning on her stick.

"School helps me and I can help you. To say thank you for saving me."

"Ugh! I guess…sure, whatever." Robin huffed.

"Ok then! I'll meet you in the park by the river tonight, bring your books kay!?" Alice called to her before running off to class.

Robin watched her disappear around the school wall, she flung the stick over her shoulders, leaning her arms on it as she walked out of the school.

It was the first time she walked back to class…and felt good about it.

Robin was snapped back into reality…or as close to reality as it gets when she felt a hand on her shoulder.

Robin looked up to see Alice looking down at her intently. Alice leaned closer her arms coming around Robin's neck.

The four turtles dropped their pizza watching what they thought was happening, eyes wide and jaws dropped to the table top.

"Alice…what are you…?" Robin breathed. But before she could finished she heard a small snap then saw a flicker of a smirk on Alice face as she leant away from the small gap between their faces.

When Alice stood straight she held a cable in her hand. "Now we can talk." She said sternly.

The four turtles didn't move their faces red with embarrassment with what their dirty minds thought was just about to occur.

"I think my shell just got tighter…" Mikey admitted.

Alice burst into laughter, swinging the cable in her hand. "You, you disabled the mic. How did you even know…?" Robin looked up at her in shock.

"Oh please, you think I wouldn't be able to tell when something was up!?" Alice huffed. "Give me some credit…" She cocked an eyebrow at Robin before sitting down opposite her.

"Now. Talk. Whay are you really here?" Alice said sternly looking directly at her.

Robin sighed. "You're not going to like it Ali-kins…"

"Try me…"
