[I'm just going to start writing in 1st person...less confusion for me! Sorry for the wait, I have
no excuse!]
As soon as I was sure I lot that little brat of a dog-man I ran as fast as I could. I couldn't really
explain what just happened, a lot like I could not be able to explain anything about anything that has
happened to me in the past week or so. I just ran, looking for him. The last thing I really remember
was him getting hurt in battle. I still could not explain my feelings in the situation, but all I
knew is that I wanted to find Sesshomaru, and make sure he was safe and sound. After a while of
running into the woods aimlessly, i had stopped to catch my breath. I looked around to see that I had
no idea where I was. I was lost, great. I slowly slid to my knees to calm myself and think about the
situation. That is when I heard her voice again.
"Tired already? you must be out of shape or something...we only ran a few miles after all." A Few
miles? How could she say that so casually? Back home I could barely run one mile let alone a couple!
I sighed at the thought of home and how I missed it. However, I couldn't worry about that right now.
"OK, you win...how can I find Sesshomaru?" I asked the voice. I had heard her chuckle before she
responded to me.
"You wan to find him? Why? I thought he kidnapped you and forced you into this awful situation.
Why on Earth would you want to find him?" I had to think for a moment. Why did I want to find him?
was it because he knew what was going on or because he knew the way back. Or was it...no...I don't
think it was that...it was WAY too soon for something like that. I stood back up and looked around.
"I need answers, no one will tell me what is going on and I am sure he has no choice given his current
situation." I stated. There was silence for a bit before the voice spoke again.
"Ah, to deny you heart's desires at such a young age...alright then...I will teach you how to find
him." Teach me? why couldn't she just show me where he was? "Close your eyes and focus his scent."
His scent? What? Ok, whatever. I did as I was told and closed my eyes to focus on his scent. I
had a hard time with this, I mean I am sure by now his "scent" was covered in blood and his nice outer
appearance would be damaged by the fight he had recently. Blood...that smell, it was as if as soon as
I thought of that smell that I could smell it! This was scary and creepy. Why did I know his smell?
"Now, just follow your nose!" the voice said with a bit of humor. I opened my eyes and faced the
direction the smell was coming.
"Ha, ha..." I stated as I began to follow the smell.
After a few minutes the smell seemed to get closer and closer, but how would I know. For all I know I
could be heading into a trap...or an ambush, or something. My luck on this little adventure with
avoiding trouble was not that great. That is when I remembered something. It seemed like a distant
memory, yet I felt it was not my memory at the same time. I was walking through the woods many times
before, doing the exact same thing for the hundredth or so time. I came across my target, just like
now...and with that I saw him. Sesshomaru was leaning against a tree in a sleeping-state. It was as
if I was looking at a picture of the finest Davinci-Oh my god there was blood. So much blood. I came
closer to see his wound was not properly taken care of. Figures with men, always making sure everyone
else gets better except themselves. I cautiously came a bit closer and closer.
"S-Sesshomaru?" I said in a small, soft tone. He slowly opened his eyes and placed them onto me. His
gaze was cold at first, then it was a piercing stab. I felt the pressure and stood back a step.
"What are you doing here? I thought I made Rin take you back to the village..." he growled. Why was
he angry with me? What did I do now. I figured he was in no mood to fight so I just calmly sat
across from him.
"It's alright, I am all healed now..I do not need to go back there anymore...besides, I had to
leave..." I started. Sesshomaru was not interested in my excuses and he looked away.
"Stupid girl..should have stayed until I called for you..." he responded in a low tone. Until he
called me? Last time I checked HE was the one who was hurt. I just sighed and slowly walked toward
him. He didn't like that and his eyes turned blood red. What the hell?
"Hey, I just want to help clean your cut...you have it worse than me right now..." I said, as I showed
him my leg, which had completely healed by now. Weird...oh well whatever. He saw this and then he
calmed down. Well, as calm as I have ever seen him. Seriously I have only seen like 2 expressions
from the guy. However this expression soothed me a bit. I thought it safe to come a bit closer. I
was impressed, he let me get close enough to at least touch his shirt. It was ripped and stained with
blood of course, but I didn't care. I had to think fast. How do they heal giant gashes in one's
abdomen area? MAN what a time to miss Man vs Wild! I didn't want to rush things. "Hey, it's really
quiet...where is Rin and that other guy?" I asked as I looked at his wound a bit more. He was silent
for a moment before he closed his eyes.
"They went to look for water and food." As usual. I was starting to think this guy was a major loner.
I digress, I needed a way to heal his wound and fast. I didn't want to think about it, but I knew my
only option was to get some medicine...back at that village. I finally decided and stood up.
"Well, I am sure you will be fine on your own while I go and get some medicine right?" I asked him as
I turned back the way I had came. He was just quiet. Shocker. I looked back at him to see his
expression had changed to frustration.
"I have no need for human medicine...I can heal on my own..." he said. I looked back toward the
village, then back to him.
"Come on man, let me do this one thing for you!" I almost yelled. See, I can get frustrated too. He
didn't seemed phased and just closed his eyes again. Silence. I huffed and puffed and began to storm
off in the direction of the village again. I am a bit surprised he didn't try to stop me. Usually men
of his caliber would have yelled or something...right?
I had walked for about 10 minutes before I met back at the pond that I lost Kagome and the others.
This was odd, where did Inuyasha go anyways? I needed to stay on guard. I looked around before going
further to the town. I felt like a ninja trying to sneak around, peeking around corners to see if
anyone I knew was around. I saw Lady Azumi and I quickly ran up to her.
"Lady Azumi!" I called to her. she turned back to me with surprise.
"Why, Hello you...I was not expecting to see you so soon..." she said to me. I gave her a sweet smile
before I began to talk.
"It is good to see you again...I want to thank you yet again for healing my injuries and taking care
of my sister and I." I started. Azumi just smiled and nodded.
"Oh you are very welcome my dear! It is what I do!" She said in a happy tone. She was actually a
very pleasant old lady.
"I was actually wondering if I could have some of that medicine you used for my cut...It was so great
that I wanted to have some handy...if that is alright..." I asked. Azumi just gave me a bit of a
worried look.
"Why would you want some of that to carry around? You could always come back here if you need to heal
a cut..." she asked. Hmm, I guess the concept of portability was new to her. I just placed my hands
together as if to beg.
"Please? I promise if it is anything else I will come back here, I just really like some of that
medicine for myself...ok?" Azumi just thought for a moment before she finally agreed.
"Alright then, let me prepare a care package for you...however you will come back to at least visit
right?" Azumi asked. I happily nodded.
"Of course!" I said as I followed her to her hut. She opened the door for me to let me in, which in
my defense I had no idea the ambush ahead of me. I walked into the hut and there I came face to face
with Inuyasha. I just looking into his eyes nervously as his laid dead in mine.
"Well Well Well, look who came back...so glad to see you again..." Ah crap. I tried to play it off
cool and began to back out of the hut. Azumi blocked my way without intention.
"Oh? You know each other?" she asked. I just looked down.
"In a sense..." I was so totally busted. My ninja skills were for waste. Azumi began to pack up some
medicine when Inuyasha grabbed my arm.
"What the hell are you thinking? We are trying to keep you safe and yet you keep running away from
us. Why? Did Sesshomaru threaten you?" He asked in a rushed whisper. I just avoided eye-contact.
"Ah? worried about me? Where is Kagome then?" I asked. He just looked at me.
"...she is looking for you in the woods..." he got frustrated. My face went to smug mode.
"Why are you here? Did you have a bad run-in with a wall?" I asked in a teasing tone. his face got
red from his anger when Azumi had given me a small bag.
"Here you go dear, please be safe from now on ok? Also come and see me again." I stood up and bowed
to her.
"Thank you so much, and I will!" I said, trying to walk off right when Inuyasha grabbed my kimono.
"Hey Hey, where do you think you are going? You are going to stay here and come back with us!" He
grunted. Oh no, I don't think so. I looked to Azumi for help, but she just turned to clean up her
medical supplies. I looked back to Inuyasha in a panic. I had to get back quickly, but how? I had
to think fast, but my brain went to goo. I ended up pulling Inuyasha on top of me. Ok...I really
don't know what was going on...but it happened. Inuyasha landed on me and just froze. I opened my
mouth to scream.
"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH! GET OFF OF ME YOU PERVERT!" and with that, Azumi turned to the situation and then
grew angry.
"HEY! None of that!" She yelled. Inuyasha snapped out of his moment and then jumped off of me.
"Wh-what?! No! I didn't...you..." he looked back at me only to see where my mother's acting genes
came into play. My eyes were swollen with tears, and I just covered myself.
"I...I am not like that at all..." I said in a the softest voice possible. Inuyasha gave me a look of
confused terror. Azumi began to throw objects at Inuyasha, excellent, just enough distraction to get
out of this town. I crawled out of the hut as the conflict escalated. I smiled as I proudly walked
out of the village. No regrets...
I used my...new skill? To locate Sesshomaru once more. When i saw him again he looke like he was
sleeping. There was always an sense of calm around this man, and I enjoyed it. I had noticed Rin and
Jaken had returned and were just sitting there arguing about something. I went to Sesshomaru who just
opened his eyes enough to see me. Of course he seemed a bit angry when he saw the bag I had.
"Jazz!" Rin chimed happily when she finally noticed I had returned. Jaken just got very defensive and hopped in between me and Sesshomaru.
"What do you think you are doing human?" he asked in his annoying voice.
"T_T I am cleaning his cut...what does it look like I am doing?" I told him. Jaken just put his hand in front of my face.
"We will have none of your foolish human medicine! Lord Sesshomaru is not weak like you humans are!" he started. I just pushed him aside and looked to Sesshomaru.
"At least give it a try? I know you can handle yourself just fine but could you please just allow me to try to help?" I asked in my soft voice again. Sesshomaru just looked into my eyes. There is went again, my heart skipping a beat. He just calmly laid back into his boa.
"...if it will keep you out of trouble for a while, then do as you wish..." he finally stated. I was so glad.
"B-But Lord Sesshomaru!" Jaken had started, but I just began to unpack the bag. Azumi really packed quite a bit, bandages, medicine, everything I needed was here! Now the next challenge was to remove his...remove his...remove his shirt, kimono thing. I felt my heart pump harder than ever as I nervously reached for his chest. I guess he notice my hesitation and he began to do this himself. Good, I didn't want to do that anyways...now the next problem. His chest. I had to rub the medicine on his cut, which was across his abs and up his chest half way. I just slowly placed the medicine on his body and began to rub. DAMN HE WAS TIGHT! I couldn't help but rub the medicine on a bit slower to get a full feel...wait...I can't so this...no...I need to stay focused. I quickly finished up and began to wrap up his injury. After all was said and done, I went and sat down in the opposite corner of our little nook. Rin came to sit beside me as Sesshomaru fell back to sleep i guess. My face was bright red and I tried to hide the fact that i pretty much just groped the guy. This whole thing must have had me a bit shaken and wore out because I began to rub my eyes. Rin had noticed and smiled.
"You can take a small rest while we wait to move out. Lord Sesshomaru will wake you when it is time to leave!" She said. i just nodded, anything to make this akward moment go away any faster. I just leaned against a tree as well and closed my eyes.
