Chapter 7
"Dad… Dad!"
"Oh! Uhm sorry honey. I must have dosed off. That was a quick trip".
Stef gave her dad a look before turning the TV off and going back to put the groceries away. She tries to bring back groceries twice a week. Since he decided to live back home after his last cancer treatment. Cancer. And terminal at that. The doctors tried to persuade him off all of these new procedures but he didn't want to go through all of that pain. So he was able to convince him and his daughter to let him just live out his time at home.
Him and Stef's mom have been divorced for some time now. But they haven't gotten along since Stef came out. She wanted to send her off to some priest that would fill her head with lies. But he wasn't having that at all. Him and Stef had always had a strong and close relationship and there was nothing that was going to change that. In fact him coming out made them even closer because he felt that he needed to protect her even more. From the hate from other people and from herself.
"I got you all of the junk you requested. Even those cheese ball things," Stef said finishing up, "I even put a few salad bowls in there. I want to see at least half of them eaten by the next grocery trip mister".
"Yes, yes whatever you say. But honey sit down here for a second" he coughed.
Stef brought him a cup of water and sat down in the reclining chair right next to him. "So what's up dad?"
"Honey, I'm not sure how long I have…"
"Dad…"
"No sweetie. I need to say this. I'm not going to be here forever. But I want to know that you will be ok. I need you to promise me that you will live in your truth. That you will find the love in yourself so that you are able to give it to someone else. Because one day you are going to find happiness and love in a woman to the point of no return. I may not be standing next to you at your wedding. But I want it to be special and right. Don't rush into anything. That is they only way I will ever be disappointed in you. If you are doing it to prove a point or if you go into it unsure. ok?"
Frank wiped a few of his tears as he held tight to his weeping daughter's who simply just nodded her head in agreement.
"Now, I am leaving you absolutely everything. Money, house, car, stocks, all of it. I don't want your mother to take any of it from you, do you hear me? It is all yours and whatever it is that you decide to do with it is your business.
"Hey! Here's your coffee", Nate said hopping in the patrol car.
"Thanks," Stef said coming out of her memory and downing the warm liquid.
"How was your visit with your mom last night?"
"It was exactly how I expected it to be. Sure wish my father was still alive".
Nate pat her on the shoulder sympathetically, "I know the feeling".
They were interrupted by their radios blaring from dispatch. "125 Prescott St. Reported break in and vandalism. Owner is still on scene."
The two looked at each other, knowing that address very well and sped off in the direction with sirens blaring.

Lena has been having a rough past couple of days after the appointment with Stef and Tess. Her only salvation has been to bury herself in her work. Today was no different. She decided to get an early start and headed in before Kelly to get things done.
When she first unlock the door she was confused as to how the alarm didn't sound, thinking maybe she forgot to set it when she left last night. But when she turned on the light she dropped all of her stuff in shock at the sight before her.
Her office was completely destroyed. Someone cut open all of the chair and carpets. All of her pictures and computers were smashed and thrown about. Everything was tossed everywhere. They went as far as to spray painted the word "Dyke" over everything.
She dug in her bag for her phone and called Kelly who wasn't too far away. Once she got there they called the cops together.
Stef and Nate ran full speed up to Lena's office trying to get around the other officers and detectives that were there already. When they do finally make it in they are both stunned in disbelief. They ran over to Lena who was sobbing in the corner with Kelly right there consoling her after already speaking to the cops.
"Lena!" Nate said getting on the floor and hugging his little sister.
"I don't know who would've done this. Why did they do this? This office was my baby. Why?" Lena cried.
Stef got down too and rubbed her back. "Lena, it will be ok. We will find out who did this". Lena turned out the sound of Stef's voice. And her tear streaked face made Stef's heart shatter. "You are safe now".
Lena reached over and hugged Stef who now fully sat and pulled her close to her in her lap.
"Come on Lena. I'll bring you home" Nate said.
"Stef. I want you to take me".
They all looked at her a bit unsure. Knowing how emotionally draining that it has been between the two of them.
"Lena are you sure?" Stef asked, though she wouldn't mind, she didn't want to cause anymore problems.
"Yes. I'm sure. I just want to feel safe again".
"Ok. I will take you".
Lena got up and had everyone help her at least gather all of her clients' files so she can lock them up at home. Kelly agreed to stay there just to call all of them and let them know that they will be closed until further notice.
They loaded up Lena's car and drove to get Stef's belonging from her apartment first. Meanwhile, Nate went ahead and patrolled around Lena's condo to make sure everything was safe. He decided that he would stay patrol outside for a few hours just to be on the safe side.
As Stef gathered her clothes into a duffle bag Lena took the liberty to look around a little in the main room. Everything was very nice and well put together. Lena even noticed a few very expensive paintings that she had hanging up. Looking closer she wondered how exactly Stef was able to afford them on a cop's salary.
She also noticed that besides the paintings she had other pictures up of herself and an older gentleman, and some with various friends. However, she didn't see Tess in any of the photos.
Once they got to Lena's condo they both changed into more comfortable clothes. Then Lena decided to warm up some leftovers for the both of them eat.
Lena seemed more relaxed as she sat beside Stef watching a movie. But Stef knew that she was holding a lot inside. "Do you want to talk about it?" Stef asked sitting her plate down.
"I think I'm just really confused. They didn't even take anything. I just don't understand why someone would do that. Was it…was it because I'm gay? It has to be someone that knows me, right? Because it's not like that's broadcasted on the website. Why would someone do that Stef? What did I do?"
Stef leaned in and kissed her. Nothing heated. Just to calm her. To transmit what she was feeling to Lena. But when she pulled away she saw that it had to opposite affect as tears run down her face.
"You're getting married…soon".
"Lena, I lo…"
"No you don't. Especially after that last appointment we had. You knew I felt uncomfortable and you didn't even try to give any reassurance Stef. You just hung me up to dry".
"Lena…"
"I'm going to go take a nap".
As Lena walked away all Stef wanted to do was scream out in frustration. Though Lena told her she could stay in the guest room she wanted to stay on guard in the living room on the couch. But after a few minutes she couldn't rest anyway. She needed to talk to Lena.
When she walked into the room Lena was laying on her bed facing away from the door. Stef walked around and knelt down beside her. "Lena, there's something I have to say and you have to listen to me, ok? Lena Adams I love you. I love every single thing about you. It's like I am obsessed with you. I will leave Tess in a heart beat just to be with you. It's the way you make me feel. The way that I know I can make you feel. It's like whenever I'm around you my world is somehow much better. Before my father died, I was with Tess and he didn't approve. He told me that we didn't love each other. And that she wasn't the one for me. But I was so determined to prove to my mom that I can be happy and get married and have a normal life that I rushed things with Tess. But I swear I believe that my dad is somewhere up there watching and had you sent to me. Because you feel right. We are right. I've made so many mistakes in my life to know that this is not one of them".
"But you pushed the date up".
"Lena I didn't realize it until it was too late. She called me when I was half asleep. I can pretty much agree to anything before I have my coffee. I just couldn't figure out how to say no now. And I am sorry for the other day. I was just so pissed about the whole Gretchen thing. I wanted to bring you out to lunch to talk about it and ask you what I should do. Lena I don't want to marry her. I just don't know how to not hurt people apparently. No matter matter how many therapy sessions we attend there's nothing that can make me unconditionally love her".
Lena gazed into the hazel eyes as she now watch Stef expose her vulnerability as she wiped her tears. She reached and pulled Stef onto the bed hugging her tight. Stef slid under the blanket with her and Lena instantly kissed her. She kissed her eyes, her nose, and back to her lips as she turned and let Stef spoon her. "I love you too". Stef kissed the back of her neck as she snuggled closer to her.
"Do you feel safer?" Stef whispered. But she was met with Lena soft breaths as she drifted to sleep. Kissing her shoulder Stef decided to nap herself.
A few hours later Lena was the first one to wake up. She stayed there for a moment trying to recant what has all happened as she felt herself becoming overwhelmed with negative emotions. But then she felt arms tighten around her waist and looked behind her and remembered that she did in fact ask Stef to come home with her. Then she remembered them confessing their love for each other.
She quietly slid from her grasp and made her way to the kitchen. So much has happened and changed she just needed a moment. She poured water in the kettle and placed it on the stove. She was going through her phone reading her emails and text updates from Kelly, when she thought she heard something. Thinking she was just being paranoid she removed her kettle as it whistled and reached for her mug when she heard her front door close.
Lena snapped around to see a masked person walking towards her. She was too shocked to even scream as she had a stare down with the person. She figured that she could fight or run before it dawned on her who else was in her house.
As the person picked up speed Lena took off running towards her room. "STEF! STEF! Help!" Stef woke up instantly and ran out to the main room to see Lena running full speed towards her completely frightened. But the weirdest thing happened. As soon as the person saw Stef it was as if they became afraid as well. "Oh shit" they said as they turned and ran in the opposite direction. Stef pushed Lena behind her and took off running after the person. "Police! Stop!"
Stef chased them down the street before they got away. She rand back up to Lena who was waiting there at the door crying. Stef instantly took her in her harms and hugged her as Lena held her tight. "Are you ok? Did he hurt you Lena?" Stef said pulling away to look her over. "Come on we have to call the police".
"No Stef . Let's just leave please. I don't want to be here. Please can we just go".
"Lena they have to…"
"Stef" Lena sobbed completely petrified. "I thought my brother was outside".
"He left a little while ago. They must have waited for him to leave. They probably didn't know I was in here with you".
But they packed up their things and Stef decided that she would take Lena back to her place. She called and talked to Nate and him and some of the other guys were there to take finger prints.
"Here love. Go get comfortable in my room and I will bring you something. Do you want coffee? Wait you don't drink coffee. How about some tea I can run out and get some tea".
"No Stef. I will be alright. I just want to go lay back down".
"Ok love. Let's go". Stef grabbed her hand and led her to her room. "You can stay in here and I will sleep out on the couch if you like"
"No! Uhm can you just stay in here?"
"Of course." Stef took off her shoes and climbed in on the opposite side of Lena. She laid on her back and Lena cuddled up right under her arm.
"Lena. I want you to know that as long as I'm around I won't let anyone hurt you. I will do anything for you".
Lena didn't reply. She was lost in her own conflicting thoughts as they laid there in a comfortable silence with Stef protectively holding her close.
"Stef?"
"Hmm?"
"…Can you make love to me?" The question three Stef off for a moment. She wasn't even sure if she heard her correctly as she shifted to look at her.
"Lena. I don't want you to regret anything. I want you to be absolutely sure, love"
"I'm sure that I love you. And I trust you not to just be taking advantage of me. I also really want to be with you in that way. I need it".
Stef wasn't sure what to do. She has thought about this moment for a while but of course under different circumstances. She hasn't even slept with Tess in months especially after meeting Lena. She was the only woman Stef ever wanted to be with.
So Stef flipped over and laid her body between Lena's legs as she slowly began to kiss Lena the heat and passion increasing rapidly. Remembering one of Lena's spot Stef lead a trail of kisses down The side of Lena's face and began to kiss and suck on her neck and collar bone as Lena let out soft almost inaudible moans.
With Stef's head at a perfect angle Lena began to suck and nibble on her earlobe and whispered "I love you Stef Foster" sending a shiver through Stef's entire body. It was like now that she confessed it out loud that's all she wanted to say.
Stef sat up and pulled Lena onto her lap and Lena instantly reached to pull Stef's shirt off. She started to kiss along her chest causing Stef to moan out in her own form of disbelief. Stef pulled Lena's shirt up and over her head, tossing it to the side. Leaving her completely topless and left in her tiny boy shorts. Stef released Lena's hair from its bun and let her curls cascade around her shoulders. Taking a moment to admire her, Stef looked into her eyes and said, "You're beautiful". Stef watched Lena blush as she bent her head down and placed her forehead onto hers. "Thanks gorgeous".
Stef quickly kissed her but then swiftly captured one of her nipples in her mouth and began to tease it while rubbing and squeezing the other. The sensation was causing Lena to tingle all over as she moan and wined into Stef's neck. Stef slid her hand up Lena's thigh and beneath the him of her shorts and felt the heat and moisture radiating from her center. Stef gentle began to glide her finger over her folds as Lena began panting in anticipation. She started to gyrate her hips urging Stef to touch her deeper.
Stef playfully pushed Lena back causing her to giggle is she bounced backwards onto the bed. She watched as Stef fully removed her clothes exposing her perfect breasts and completely toned body. Then lift her hips as she removed her shorts for her.
Stef climbed to the top and kissed Lena like she's never before and sincerely and whole heartedly looked into her eyes and asked her, " Are you ready for this? You aren't going to run or have second thoughts are you?" It was then that Lena realized that she wasn't the only who had been affected by this thing they had. She has caused Stef some pain too. She kissed her back and said, "I'm sure".
Stef kissed and licked her way down Lena's body. When she got to her center Stef took a moment to inhale Lena's sweetness. She kissed all around her folds and inner thighs. "Stefff." Lena wined not able to take much more of the teasing. So with that Stef gave Lena one firm intense lick almost raising Lena with her. Lena's body shook as Stef began to lick and suck on her sensitive nub and Lena continued to moan her name repeatedly with her fingers tangled within the blond's hair.
Without even receiving any attention Stef was in heaven just hearing the words and noises coming from Lena. The way she tasted and smelled was going to have her addicted in no time.
Stef sat up and laid on her back next to a panting Lena. "Baby sit on my face". Lena's eyes bugged out. "What?!" Lena sat up confused. "You heard me woman. Sit on my face." Stef grinned. "Stef, I've never done that before. What if I suffocate you".
"Then that would be the best way to go. But come on baby please. Do you trust me?"
"Of course I do". Lena slowly climbed on top of Stef and made her was up to her face. She hesitantly lowered herself. As soon as she was close enough Stef wrapped her hands around her thighs and pulled her close as she devoured her. All that could be heard was Stef eating out Lena and Lena moaning loudly and freely as she gripped the head board. "Lena ride my face"
But Lena was so high in the clouds that she could barely hear what Stef was saying. So instead Stef gripped onto her a little tighter and moved her back and forth until Lena's body began to shake. "Stef! I'm going to…ahh" As Lena's orgasm started to take control she attempted to lift off of Stef but she held her down as she continued to feast. "Ahhh Stef! STEF!" Lena's body shook violently as she cried out and Stef lapped up all of her juices. Lena went limp and Stef finally let her go with a big grin. She looked over at Lena and saw tears going down her face. "Lena did I hurt you? I'm so sorry!"
"No….Never have I ever came like that". It was exactly what Lena needed as Stef pulled her on top of her body and covered their naked selves with the blanket. She kissed the side of Lena's sweaty face and shoulder and tenderly rubbed her back.
"Stef."
"Yes Beautiful"
"I can't be your therapist anymore". They both laughed as Lena kissed her chest.
"It's ok I was going to fire you anyway".
