Chapter 9

"So was there anything?" Stef whispered into the phone. After Stef told Nate about her hunch on Tess and Dean they were brought in for questioning. But since Nate was Lena's brother and Tess was Stef's ex they were both kicked off of the case.

"Roberts was only able to tell me a few things. I guess they both had an alibi for the night the office was destroyed. Plus their finger prints didn't match any taken up from the office. But somehow they mentioned Gretchen".

"Gretchen? Lena's ex? That doesn't make sense, during the break in it was a man".

"Yes, Foster, I know we can't rule out Tess and Dean but there's not enough to hold or charge them. Plus how is it that they know of Gretchen? It's deeper than just the two of them. For all we know all three of them could be working together".

"But why?" Stef was so confused. She felt like she was trying to put this case together but just couldn't place the pieces in the correct spots.

Lena came out of the room carrying one of her duffle bags. Stef took some time off of work and they had a romantic get away planned for the weekend. With their new relationship they wanted to spend some alone time together and really dive deep into each other.

Lena walked up to her as Stef embraced her while still trying to hold a conversation on the phone. But Lena had other plans. Lena knew that Stef was talking to her brother, because lately if Stef wasn't spending time with her then she was with or talking to her brother constantly about all the drama surrounding them.

Lena began to softly kiss up and down the side of Stef's neck as a shiver ran up her spine. Stef had to close her eyes to try to focus on what Nate was saying because she really didn't want to stop Lena from what she was doing. Stef finally pulled away, "No worries. I am all yours". She kissed Lena on the forehead and grabbed her bag out of her hand along with her own. "Stef, I can carry it".

"I know you can Love. But i got it." She grabbed Lena's hand as they began to walk out.

"Did they find out anything?" Lena asked not realizing she gripped Stef's hand a little tighter for comfort. Stef told Lena everything. She didn't want there to be any secrets especially in regards to Tess and the case. So Lena knew about Tess and Dean but Stef was a little hesitant to tell her about Gretchen. "Nothing matched up yet love. But it will be ok. No one is giving up".

Once settled into the car Stef turned to Lena. "So before we leave town I have a surprise for you". Lena looked at her a bit confused but before she could say anything Stef continued. "So I kind of need you to be blind folded". Stef handed her the blind fold as Lena laughed in disbelief. "Honey, blind folded? Really?"

"Yes, please" Stef said sticking out her bottom lip knowing Lena was very skeptical about this.

"Fine. But only if I can use this on you later tonight" Now it was Stef's turn to become red with shock.

After Lena was blind folded, Stef quickly gave her a kiss as they began to drive away. The whole ride Stef just hummed to the radio and would kiss the back of Lena's hand, excited to reveal the surprise.

When they arrived they rode up what Lena assumed was an elevator as her heart began to pound with anticipation. She had absolutely no idea what Stef could be doing and she couldn't take it much longer before she ripped the blindfold off herself.

Stef let go of her hand and stood behind her. "Are you ready?" Lena couldn't even respond she was so nerve racked so she just nodded her head. Stef wrapped her arms around her waist and kissed the back of her neck as Lena shudder but relaxed back into her. "I want to hear you say it".

Lena devilishly smiled, "Come on Stef. Let's go so we can get to the cabin and I can make you say a lot of things". Stef's eyes popped out as she loves when Lena plays dirty.

Stef untied Lena's blind fold and took a step back.

Lena couldn't believe her eyes as she was at a lost for words. Her office, it was completely restored but even better than before. The walls had a fresh paint and new quotes whispering positivity on the walls. The furniture, computers and TVs were all brand new right along with the carpet. Lena couldn't believe it.

"Stef?" She turned with tears rushing down her face. "How? …. Why?"

"I have money saved up. I figure why not. I love you. And I love to see you happy. So I hired some people and they worked extremely fast and efficiently. It's almost like it never happened".

Lena began to walk over to Stef but couldn't even concentrate enough. Never did she imagine someone besides her brother would go through such lengths for her. "Stef".

Stef walked over to her and Lena quickly pulled her close and kissed her. "Nate and I enhanced your security. Now there's camera's, enhanced alarm system and code, and changed all of the locks. But come here, you haven't seen the best part yet".

Stef grabbed her hand and led her through the new glass door of her personal office. All her degrees and awards were restored into brand new expensive oak frames. Just like the waiting room, everything was brand new.

Lena went behind her new desk as she admired the finish and that is when she saw the picture of her and her brother. But then there was one of her and Stef, a picture that they took quite recently so she knew that Stef must have constantly been in and out of here.

"This is perfect. I don't know how I could ever repay you".

"Because you aren't going to repay me. I did this because I wanted to and I love you. I would do anything to make you happy".

"You don't have to do all this to make me happy. Just being with you makes me happy. But I do know something else that will make me extremely happy". Lena began to slowly un button Stef's shirt eyeing her body.

"Yes? And what's that?"

"You completely naked on this desk".

"Anything you like madame".

Stef took off her shirt as Lena her pants and panties off and to the floor. Stef went to undress Lena but she pushed her hand away. "My office, my show". Lena pushed Stef back flat across the desk and climbed on in between her legs.
