I am so, so, so sorry I haven't updated in forever, my life has been manic. Forgive me?

The next thing I knew was someone knocking on our door to wake us up. The door swung open and Nat made herself known, turning the light on. I groaned and sat up reluctantly. Wanda mumbled and tried to turn over but I rubbed my hands down her sides, causing her to squeal and sit up.

"Get moving, you two. In twenty minutes, I want you both kitted out and ready to go waiting in the hangar."
"On it, Nat," Wanda yawned, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes.
"How are you so awake?" I grumbled.
"I'm an assassin, I don't need sleep." She shrugged and left.
"Lucky for some."

We did as we were told, getting washed and dressed into our suits. I picked up my pistol from my dresser and holstered it and then the knives as well. I made a quick snowball in my hand also before allowing it melt. Wanda's eyes were glowing red when she faced me which meant she was more than ready to go. My switchblade landed in my hand as she levitated it towards me. I tucked it into my pocket and we left.

We stood still for a few moments before all of a sudden we collided together in a passionate kiss.

We rushed to the hangar bay where we could hear the engines of the Quinjet gearing up. Tony was at the wheel and Sam was waiting at the bottom of the ramp to get everything ready. We luckily weren't the last ones and were just waiting on Natasha and Clint. We took our seats next to Steve and buckled up. We heard the hiss of the hydraulics as the ramped closed. Clint went off to Tony and Natasha sat next to Steve.

"We all remember the plan, right, guys?"
"Yes, Cap."
"We'll land at the closest airfield where the cars are waiting. Tony and James will leave first. Five minutes later, the rest of us leave. Thor and Vision are flying, we're driving."
"We got it, Steve."
"We'll lure Doom out once we know the situation."

We were all contemplative during the ride. Wanda and I wanted revenge, like serious revenge. Doom had hurt us in so many ways and we wanted retribution. He thinks we're weak and pathetic; well, we'll show him that in fact the opposite. That we're strong-hearted and able-minded, that we could take him and that his preoccupation with power was nothing compared to love, family and teamwork in addition to the strength of two enhanced teenagers who happened to be in love.

The rest of the team, I think, were concerned about the mission and Sokovian casualties as well as our anger. They knew they would have to make sure we didn't get too malicious when we found Victor.

Tony and James were kitted out by the time we touched down. Tony nodded at us with a smile before flipping his mask down and then they both flew off. Their comms crackled to life in our ear as they chatted about absolutely nothing. I stood up and turned to Wanda, offering my hand. As she stood, I pulled her flush against me for a cheeky kiss. She rolled her eyes but pulled me closer anyway, one of her hands on the back of my neck, keeping me there.

"Save it for later, kids," Steve remarked awkwardly.
"We won't have later, Steve," Wanda replied, her accent thicker due to what can only be described as lust. "That's why we're doing it now."
"What are they up to now, Cap?" Tony questioned.
"Have a guess."
"You two behave yourselves," he warned.
"Sure thing, Uncle Tony," Wanda responded. I reluctantly pulled away.
"Can I just say, I bet you and Pepper are a lot worse," I muttered.
"Jury's out."
"Oh, dear god, Stark. Too much information for such young, innocent minds." Natasha mockingly covered our ears
"Innocent?!" I snorted in amusement. "Have you met us?"
"Well…"

We exited the Quinjet, Wanda's fingers laced up with mine, and made our way to the vehicles waiting for us on the tarmac. I climbed into the driver's seat of the rear vehicle after having opened Wanda's door for her. She was doing up her seatbelt as I shut the door. As the rest of them climbed in, I started up the engine and put the car into drive; Wanda taking my hand afterwards.

Thor and Vision had taken off and were nearly with Tony and James whilst we had started driving towards the border by the time Stark started briefing us on the situation and then Rhodey filled in the small blanks he had left. Turns out, there was a border control on the road we were planning on taking. And so, Tony and James had promptly dealt with the situation with some small missiles to incapacitate the men on guard. After that, they had checked the whole capital city and there were no guards until they hit the main building where we held last time. There were over one hundred men on guard, though. Doom had clearly focused all his men here to protect himself.

"What he hasn't considered is that this makes our job so much easier. We don't have to go searching for any others," I commented.
"True. We can take them out in one big hit. Problem is, we don't know how many are inside, waiting for us."
"Life sign scanner not working, Tony?" Natasha asked.
"The building isn't allowing any frequencies to penetrate the walls. The scanner is useless if they've placed a frequency scrambler in the area."
"So hunt out the scrambler."
"It's inside the building. There is absolutely nothing we can do until we're inside. That obviously causes issues because we'll probably walk into an ambush."
"Doom has no idea we're coming, though." Sam added.
"Yeah but he's prepared for us to attack any second. With all the guards, he's anticipating us to be there," Natasha sounded worried.
"Wait a second," Wanda piped up, having been previously lost in thought. I turned to stare at my girlfriend as her logical mind got to work. "You just mentioned a chance of us being ambushed, didn't you, Stark?"
"Yeah…" He drew out the word, sounding confused. "What's that got to do with anything?"
"Well, what if Doom isn't even in the building? This could all be a ploy to throw us off. We'll storm the building, get ourselves captured and then he'll have all of us."
"Where else could he hide? With no one to protect him?" Rhodey questioned.
"Somewhere low-key, in a nearby building where he can still see everything, most likely. He'd probably have two or three men with him but that's it."
"Doom wants to think he's smart and he is, in a way, so he needs a plan," Vision starts. "A better plan, that will allow him to win but he's relying on the fact that we won't stop and think to work out his mind; that we won't hesitate when we see all his men gathered in one area."
"He's hoping that we'll pounce and attack, which we should but not in the way he's planned for," I voiced, biting my lip in thought as I drove.
"Ah, I get it. He's tried the direct approach but it didn't work for him so he comes up with a fool-proof plan that he created without taking into account that we have two very smart teenagers on our team." You can physically hear the grin in Tony's voice.
"This all very well and good, friends, but it's just a theory," Thor sounded sceptical.
"We'll find out when we get there, though."
"How the hell are we going to find out if he's there?" Sam asked.
"Wanda can probe minds, remember, Wilson?" I automatically snapped at him until my girlfriend's hand starting rubbing soothing circles into the back of my own.
"If you can get me close enough without being caught, I can look into the heads of his men to find out his location."
"Okay, team. We're nearly there. As soon as we hit the city border, we're on foot. Let's get to the building, find out where Doom is and plan our attack," Steve's voice was full of authority.
"Sure thing, boss."

We pulled up past Doom's 'border control' booth and stopped the vehicles. Climbing out, everyone could see the lights of the city in the near distance. Looks like we'll be walking from here. Knowing Steve, probably running. Hawkeye shouldered his bow with his quiver. I checked all my knives and my gun to make sure I wouldn't lose any on the run.

"Ready, team?" Steve turned to face us wearing a smirk.

What do you guys think?
