Here's a small filler chapter while I'm working on two screenplays and three other stories. As well as the next major chapter for this story.
We spent the next couple of days settling in to the tower. Tony taught Wanda and I how to use our phones properly. It was tougher than he anticipated. After that, Nat took Wanda dress shopping for our date on Saturday. They came back holding several bags each and Wanda with a suit carrier as well.
As I was refusing to tell her where we going, she was refusing to show me her dress until date night. As soon as Nat dropped her bags off in her room, she dragged me out to a local tailors. They measured me up for a shirt, waistcoat and tie. The shirt was white with black detailing on the seams, I chose a black waistcoat with a lovely maroon lining and my tie was a deep purple which Nat helped me pick out.
When we finished, Nat went back to the tower, taking my suit with her so she could hide it in her room whilst I continued running an errand in the city. There was a small Italian restaurant that I knew, twenty blocks from the tower. I popped in to make a reservation.
"Hi there, my name is Giovanni. Table for one?"
"No, thanks. I was just wondering if Silvio still works here?"
"The head chef? Yeah. Would you like me to fetch him for you?"
"That would be great." I waited by the door, observing the patrons of the restaurant, all enjoying their food.
"Well, well, well, look who it is," I turned around to face the source of the voice. "Piper Knight, long time no see."
"Silvio." I grinned at the approaching man and hugged him.
"How have you been, kiddo?"
"Good, very good."
After catching up with Silvio, he had a table reserved for me and Wanda for Saturday. Glancing up at the grey sky as I left the restaurant, I quickly headed for home.
By the time I made my way back to the tower, it was nearly half five. I went to find Stark to ask about borrowing a car for Saturday. He just grinned and told me it was sorted already. He was being mysterious and I didn't like it. After failing to get any information out of him, I retreated to mine and Wanda's room and saw my girlfriend standing in the kitchen. She looked up from the stove when she heard me enter.
"Hey, love," she spoke. I gave her a chaste kiss before fixing myself a drink.
"Hiya. What are you making?" I rested my chin on her shoulder, peering at the contents of one of the pans.
"Pasta bolognaise. Would you like some?"
"Yes, please. Would you like a drink?" She held a glass up as she continued stirring the contents of one of her pans. I relaxed against the counter next to her whilst she cooked. After a couple of minutes, she placed her wooden spoon on the counter, turned the heat down on the stove and turned to face me.
"So, are you sure that you won't tell me where we're going on our date? I'll show you my dress?" She wrapped her arms around my neck and pulled on her seductive eyes. I grinned at her as I placed my hands on her hips.
"Oh, I'm sure. I'm quite looking forward to being stunned by you."
"Oh, really?" Her tone got lower and huskier. I smiled, leaning in to kiss her."
"Hmmm, I'm sure…" My sentence trailed off.
My eyes fluttered close as our lips met. One of my hands came up to cup her cheek whilst the other stayed where it was, resting on her waist. The longer the kiss got, the more passionate it became. I used my body to press Wanda back into the counters behind her. The breathy moan I got as a reward for slipping one of my legs in between hers was a sound I wanted to hear again. Wanda pulled away first, the sorceress panting heavily. I nibbled and sucked my way down her jawline to the crook of her neck via her pulse point. My girlfriend's moans increased in frequency and volume. I smiled against her as I continued my assault on her neck. I was pulled back up to her mouth after a couple of minutes as her arms tightened their grip on me.
If it hadn't been for the coffee machine starting to make odd noises, I don't think we would have stopped. We leant against each other, catching our breaths while I silently cursed the inanimate object next to us.
"I guess I should probably finish making dinner," Wanda whispered.
"Probably," I agreed but made no effort to move away from her. She smiled as she pushed me off.
"Let's see how the pasta is doing, hmm?" She tasted a small bit before turning the heat up. "It needs a couple more minutes." Our phones buzzed at the same time, presumably a text from one of the team. I fished it out of my pocket to see Clint's name flashing up on the group chat.

I locked my phone as Wanda started serving the dinner onto plates. I quickly set the table for us both, grabbing Wanda's drink for her and setting it on the table. She placed bowls with various foods on the table, including bread and some butter. There were dipping bowls with what appeared to be olive oil and balsamic vinegar. She had garlic bread in a small basket right in the middle. Wanda had really done a fantastic job of dinner after two days of various takeout meals.
We sat in relative silence while we ate, enjoying each other's company. The only sounds made were cutlery hitting the plates or one of us sipping our drinks. Her cooking was divine as I practically inhaled it. I could see her laughing at me out of the corner of my eye when I finished. I wiped my mouth with a napkin and looked at her with a grin on my face.
We headed upstairs to spend some time with our teammates. Wanda spent the next couple of days training with Vision and Thor, trying to master her flying ability. I sat in the corner, reading whilst she worked. It would take a bit more work but she was getting there. I kept encouraging her when she looked crestfallen and when she was exhausted, I swept her up in my arms and took her back to the room.
Thoughts?
