Hey guys. It's been forever but thanks to those that have stuck with me! I've had a lot of personal stuff going on and toppled with University stuff going on. I've been accepted to an internship for the Fall, whihc is also when I'm graduating! I'm super busy but still trying my best to handle it all! So...please understand.
Thanks for those of you who review with concern or PM me with concern. It makes me feel good that others care so much. I'm getting back into writing and have become obsessed with something other than TMNT that I wish to write about as well.
**This is the last chapter for this fic! It's an epilogue! I am doing a sequel to this because I loved the plot so much so that's why there are some loose ends!
ENJOY~!
Oroku Saki's Point of View:
When we reached our destination, Xever immediately parked the transfer van in a secluded spot. After that he and Stockman opened the back for us and Xever cut us free of our chains.
"Mr. Saki! Or should I call you Shredder?" A playful voice asked and we all turned to see Don Vizioso one of my allies, walking towards me. He had a smirk on his round face and a meatball sub in the other. Typical Vizioso. If he weren't so useful to me then I'd have nothing to do with this disgusting man.
"You had better not be insulting my master, Vizioso," Tigerclaw warned with a dark glare settled on his face. I held up my hand to silence him as Vizioso frowned and the men around him, his bodyguards, glared at Tigerclaw.
"You can call me what you will. It does not matter to me," I rumbled, looking at Vizioso will a dull expression.
"Well I think Shredder suits you fine," Vizioso grinned again before turning halfway and gesturing to the plane behind him, "I've got the plane. Stockman filled me in on what you needed and I made it happen."
"Good," I huffed before eyeing Stockman, who hung back like a wounded kitten ready to be hit, "I'll have the money wired to your account to compensate for the plane."
"Good. Pleasure doing business with you. Now, if you don't mind, I'll take my leave now. The cops will be hovering soon and I plan on being long gone," Don Vizioso replied seriously as he began walking away with his bodyguards.
"Me too," I growled as I walked forward and didn't even look at Xever when I asked, "Xever, did you manage to get our equipment?"
"Yes. It's in these bags," Xever smirked slightly, with an expression I couldn't quite understand as he held up a large brown bag. I nodded as we continued our way towards the plan. I noticed the pilot was one of Vizioso's men.
By morning I will be back in my homeland of Japan. Then I can start building up my Foot soldiers and plan for my next attack on the Hamato clan. I don't know how long that will take, whether it be months or years, but I will never forgive the Hamatos for what they've done to me.
THE NEXT MORNING
Raphael's Point of View:
Luckily for us it was still tha weekend with today bein' Saturday. We all had plans with tha others ta meet in tha front of school on Monday so that it would take some of tha pressure off my brothers and I when we come back. We were all grateful for that and I was secretly touched by how loyal our friends were. Before bed I made sure to check on my Purple Dragon friends and was relieved that none were bein' pursued by tha police. It had been awkward when they were with us that short time in tha police station and I was just glad that tha cops didn't try to arrest our friends.
Last night had been one of tha best days in the whole month, if I do say so myself. After Miwa was done with her shower and tha rest of us set up tha livin' room with a few movies picked out, we had a blast just enjoyin' each other's company and I couldn't stop myself from teasin' Mikey every chance I got.
Also, couple of hours ago around 8:30, Sensei and Miwa left ta go browse some stores together ta help set up her new room and both of their faces shone with excitement. Tha rest of us decided ta just hang around tha house but I also felt an urge ta call Slash or Casey over ta hang out.
"Hey Raph, have you seen my black folder?" A voice asked with a tiny bit of frustration and I looked up from starin' at my texts ta see Donnie lookin' around tha room, waitin' for me ta answer. Leo was in tha dojo practicin' his meditation (what a lame-o) and Mikey was in tha kitchen probably lookin' for or cookin' food for himself.
"Nope, sure haven't Don," I replied easily, lookin' back at my phone. Donnie sighed loudly so I felt tha need to ask, "What do ya need it for?"
"I just kept a lot of my physics and chemistry notes in it," Donnie claimed and I looked up at him with a flat expression. Leo wasn't tha only brother of mine that was borin'.
"I definitely haven't seen it then," I teased slightly and he rolled his reddish-brown eyes at me. I then realized that his hair and clothes were messy and wrinkled. I wanted to laugh at him, "Is it that important that ya have it right now?"
"Yes!" Donnie exclaimed, gapin' at me like I was stupid ta even ask. I huffed and put my phone away.
"Did ya check everywhere in yer room here? Is it at Nakano's house?" I prompted and he paused with wide eyes in my direction, face palmin' soon after, "It's at Nakano's right?"
"Yeah. This was a complete waste of time!" Donnie groaned as he rubbed his hand down his face and looked at me again, "Sorry about that, but thanks for helping."
"No problem," I grinned over at him and he smiled slightly before we both jumped when there was a crash in tha kitchen that oddly sounded like pans crashin' against each other, "Mikey! What are ya doin' in there?!"
"Sorry bros!" Mikey yelled back unnecessarily loud with laughter in his voice. Donnie and I cringed and rolled our eyes respectively, "Tried to get a pot out but then everything fell out of the cabinet!"
"Quit yelling! I'm trying to focus here!" Leo shouted suddenly and I was actually surprised by this. I laughed and Donnie shook his head.
"Sorry Leo!" Mikey yelled intentionally in response. I didn't have ta be a Master of Ninjutsu ta feel Leo's aura spike with annoyance.
"Sometimes I can't believe him," Donnie sighed with a slight smile still on his face as he came over and sat down close ta me. I snorted.
"Only sometimes?" I joked with a smirk and he laughed. We both turned when we heard tha dojo doors slide open. Leo looked extremely annoyed and when his eyes met ours he blinked for a minute, "Sup Leo?"
"Couldn't concentrate anymore," Leo stated simply before glancin' at tha kitchen door, "If I hear one more loud noise I'll lose it."
Suddenly tha house phone began ringin', tha tone blarin' through tha house. Tha look on Leo's face was pure hilariousness and both Don and I began laughin' so hard tears were fillin' my eyes. Mikey came out in surprise at all tha added noise and Leo stomped towards tha house phone next ta tha kitchen archway.
"Hello?" Leo answered while struggling to contain the annoyance and Mikey grinned over at us while we were still laughin'. Leo rolled his eyes at us before his expression slowly dropped into surprise, "Oh! Yeah, we remember you, Officer Sandy."
My laughter died down as I whirled around ta look at Leo fully. Mikey and Donnie were just as surprised that Officer Sandy was callin' us. Leo listened ta whatever she was sayin' for a full couple of minutes and we watched as his expression changed from surprise, shock, and then ta horror. His face paled.
"Leo?" Donnie questioned worriedly.
"N-No, I'll tell him when he gets back…" Leo started sayin' as he swallowed heavily and placed a finger up ta us ta signal that we needed ta give him a second before he explained, "None of them showed up here but we'll call if they do. Thanks Officer Sandy."
After those words, I could imagine what Leo was goin' ta tell us. Ice filled my veins for all but two seconds before I felt my body heat up in rage. Leo turned ta Donnie and me, "Shredder and the others escaped from their holding cells in prison last night."
"What?!" Donnie shrieked, his eyes widenin' largely. Mikey's mouth parted in shock and his eyes widened as well, but he also paled. Leo looked at me and I said nothin', frownin' in his general direction with my hands curlin' into fists.
"Officer Sandy called to say she thought they might show up here or it's also likely they escaped towards a different place for now," Leo repeated as he suddenly looked less shocked and more aggravated, "I'll have to let everyone know just in case Shredder or the others want to come after them."
"This is bullshit," I stood quickly, startlin' them, "He can't get away from this!"
Leo looked at me and nodded, his expression mirrorin' mine, "He won't if he ever tries anything with this family again."
"I don't think he will right now," Mikey said suddenly and we all looked over at him. My eyes widened ta see how shook up he looked, "I think he'll go to Japan so he can get more of those Foot men he had in the basement level of his building."
I inhaled sharply, realizin' how real that could be and Leo once again looked shocked before he regained his composure. Donnie frowned, "Mikey's right. That seems like the most logical thing to do to me. He's going to rebuild his Foot clan and then get revenge on us."
"Not without a fight," Leo hissed as he grabbed his phone and began dialing, "I'm calling Sensei. Raph, you should inform the Purple Dragons and Casey. Donnie, inform April and then Nakano. Mikey, inform your Mom and LH, even Mondo."
We all nodded at our jobs and grabbed our phones ta do what he ordered. I'd feel better if everyone involved knew what was goin' on anyways, just in case that goin' ta Japan wasn't Shredder's next move.
By tha time we finished talkin' to, and in some of our cases calmin' everyone down, Sensei came home ta witness our panic. Apparently, Miwa didn't come back with him because she wanted ta browse around tha mall a bit more.
Tha look on his face when Leo told him that Oroku Saki escaped jail was enough ta steel my resolve. If he was still around, he'd not get to any of my family members without goin' through me first; no matter what he did ta me.
"Raphael?" I jumped in surprise at the cold hand on my shoulder. The guys made fun of the fact that I was wearin' a red tank top when it was Fall, but hey, we're indoors for cryin' out loud! I blushed a little and looked up at Sensei, who appeared a little worried. Leo, Donnie, and Mikey were starin' at me from behind him.
"Sorry, I was just…. thinkin'?" I offered lamely and Sensei smiled a little, "What we're ya talkin' about?"
"I was telling you four that I'd like you to stay with me a few days until we are sure that the Shredder is gone," Sensei repeated and my eyes widened.
"I kinda thought we already were?" I said in confusion and tha others laughed. I frowned, feelin' embarrassed.
"Of course," Sensei teased as he rubbed my head. I scowled at him and he just grinned before he turned ta look at my brothers too, "I have already cleared this with Nakano-san and- "
"Wait, you've talked to him today?!" Mikey near-exploded and Donnie jumped at tha sudden loudness of his voice, "He left really weird last night and he hasn't called or anything today so…"
"You do not need to worry, Michelangelo," Sensei assured, "Nakano-san was simply getting some things in order."
Leo groaned, "You and Nakano both like to keep things a mystery until the very end."
"I suppose so," Sensei grinned at Leo. Both Leo and Donnie sighed in disappointment while I grinned alongside Sensei.
"So…it wasn't because he felt awkward?" Mikey asked, lookin' a bit more hesitant than I'd like, "Cause it wasn't until we all got home…maybe he felt like he wasn't a part of things?"
"I doubt that was it, Mikey," Donnie said as he put a hand on Mikey's shoulder, quicker than tha rest of us ta comfort, "He seemed really happy before he left. He probably just wanted to do something personal."
"Oh, well, yeah...that makes sense," Mikey smiled and Donnie smiled back. Leo and I shared a glance and I knew we were probably thinkin' tha same. Donnie was tha most upset with Mikey's disappearance so he seems ta be feelin' much better now.
"My sons, are any of your friends coming over today?" Sensei asked suddenly as he studied his own phone with a slight look of confusion and annoyance. Tha sight of his expression made me grin because Sensei hated cell phones. I looked over and Donnie was bitin' his lip so he wouldn't laugh out loud.
"Yeah, April's coming over and so is Casey," Donnie cleared his thought as he gave me a look. I shrugged.
"Leatherhead can't come today because my Mom totally set him up with an interview for a job!" Mikey said excitedly and we all whirled on him in surprise.
"What?! Fer real?" I demanded and he nodded, his blue eyes practically sparklin'. I was secretly happy seein' him so happy.
"What job is it?" Leo asked as he tilted his head curiously.
"It's a mechanics job!" Mikey replied with a small laugh, "Leatherhead says he's pretty good at workin' on cars and he's huge so he can lift heavy things no sweat!"
We all shared an amused moment for how perfect tha job would be for Leatherhead. A mechanics job was always somethin' I thought I'd be good at too. I grinned at Mikey as I purposefully leaned on him and threw an arm around his shoulders, "I'm pretty good at fixin' up cars too!"
"Really?" Mikey blinked owlish eyes at me as the others turned towards me. I nodded, "You'd be perfect for the job too! If only you were two years older, haha!"
"Whatever," I laughed but Leo was starin' at me, "What? I learned ta work on cars from Slash back when we used ta hang out."
Before anything else was said the door opened and we turned to see Miwa walk in with a smile on her face and a couple of bags on her arms. She grinned, "Hey guys! So, I founds some things I think you'd like~!"
"Seriously?!" Mikey beamed as he zoomed away so fast I was stumbled but was saved from total embarrassment by Donnie holdin' my arm ta keep me from face plantin'. I blushed and scowled at Mikey.
Miwa pulled out an Xbox 360 game that I didn't recognize but Mikey apparently did because he went completely frozen. He was like that for longer than we thought he should.
"Uh, Mikey, you okay-" Leo was interrupted by Mikey huggin' Miwa so hard she nearly fell over like I did earlier.
"It's Skyrim! It's an old game but I've never tried it before!" Mikey gushed as he looked over at us. We all made at face at him because he was practically sparklin' again. Miwa was laughin'.
"Glad you like it. I remembered that you liked that sorta thing. Games or movies with magic, dragons, fighting and all that stuff," Miwa grinned and we all perked up as she continued ta describe tha game.
"Well I know you have an Xbox 360 at your Mom's house so if it's okay then we could get it later and we could all take turns playing," Leo smirked at Mikey, who nodded 3 times in one go. Donnie and I laughed.
"Oh, and Miwa, I am having the furniture we bought today delivered this evening," Sensei told her as he walked back into the dojo. I didn't even know he had left tha room in tha first place. He seemed content but I could still see that he was worried.
"Okay. Thanks Father," Miwa smiled at him and just from that, Sensei's whole face lit up a bit more. I smiled.
"So, shouldn't we be helping you fix up your room with what you have now?" Donnie proposed as he eyed tha boxes near the door that Sensei had brought with him when he came home.
"Only if you guys want," Miwa teased and Mikey laughed. Leo and I rolled our eyes, "Let's get started then! Aren't the others going to be here later?"
We all froze at that reminder. Miwa just came home and she doesn't even know yet. We all got distracted and forgot to say anything. Leo frowned, "About that…we have something to tell you."
Miwa's smile plummeted at tha look on all our faces. I'm sure she could just about guess why we all looked that way.
Later that evening…
Mikey's Point of View:
"I can't believe he managed to escape his holdin' cell!" Casey began yelling the moment he was told the news that Shredder had escaped from jail. I glanced uneasily at Miwa, who was staring at the ground with a dull look in her face. It was almost like she wasn't aware of anything around her. Leo was sitting on the ground beside her against the couches. I was sitting crisscross beside Mondo on the couch with Donnie and April on our other side. Raph and Casey were the only ones standing up in front of us while Sensei was sitting in his reserved chair.
"I can," Leo growled as all eyes turned on him, "He had a lot of allies after all. Bradford, Tigerclaw, Stockman, and…Xever."
I went rigid at Xever's name and Mondo looked over at me. I forced a smile on my face. I still felt conflicted about Xever. He wasn't all bad; he looked out for me! If it weren't for him then I probably wouldn't be in this house let alone in this country!
"Most likely he left like Mikey suggested earlier. I think Stockman helped a lot with that," Donnie ground out, looking disgusted and I felt bad for him. He used to really look up to Stockman and was disappointed to find out what he was truly like. Maybe he was just being blackmailed? Or maybe he would really do all this to save his own skin.
"There's also Don Vizioso," April added and I blinked over at her in confusion as did Mondo. It was like a light switch had been turned on for Miwa, who lifted her head up and her amber eyes landed on April.
"Oh my God, I forgot about the fat guy!" She burst and Raph burst out laughing, "No seriously! I forgot about him! It makes more sense now!"
"What does?" Mondo asked looking as confused as I felt. Who the heck is Don Vizioso?
"Vizioso has a lot of influences in the underground world," Miwa sighed as she rubbed her temples. Leo looked at her sympathetically and I saw his hand quiver as they hovered like he was hesitant to comfort her.
"Um, who is this guy?" I asked as I lifted a hand to gain their attention. Donnie blinked and gasped.
"Oh right! You don't know…" He smiled sheepishly at me, "While you were captured April and I did some research and learned about him. Miwa's right because he has a lot of different allies in the underground world. It wouldn't surprise me if he helped Shredder escape."
"It seems very likely," Sensei agreed quietly, looking at the floor instead of at us. I frowned sadly at him.
"So, we're really thinking that he's not stickin' around?" Casey questioned with a wary look on his face as he glanced out the window.
"Most likely not. Of course, we can't rule that out," Leo affirmed with a serious look. Casey nodded in return and I glanced out the window worriedly too but for a different reason.
"Where is Nakano-Otosan?" I asked as I looked towards Sensei. He seemed taken off guard by my seemingly random question as did my brothers.
"I am sure that he will be here soon," Sensei answered me almost vaguely and I sighed as Mondo put a comforting hand on my shoulder. I smiled in return at his gesture.
"So, what do we do now that we know he's escaped? Even if he went back to Japan or something…is there anything we should do?" April inquired slowly, her eyebrows drawing together as she crossed her arms. She looked disturbed by this whole situation and I could relate. Heck, we all could relate!
"All we can do is be on our guard," Miwa told her as she looked April straight in the face, "I know this man and lived with him for years. He'll be back after he thinks he's ready which will probably be when he trains enough Foot soldiers."
"I can't believe this…" Donnie trailed off, sighing into his hands. Raph frowned.
"Me either! Can he really just bring so many losers here ta fight us? This is New York!" Raph near yelled with Casey nodding at his side.
"He will figure out a way," Sensei retorted easily, his face looking a bit too haunted for my taste. I looked down sadly, not knowing what to say to make him feel better. Leo looked almost the same as Sensei! "He may not even have a solid plan himself yet."
"That's true," I agreed before jumping like Donnie and April when there was a knock at the door. We all looked over there wearily but Sensei got up without problems. He glided towards the door and opened it. I perked up at the sight of Nakano-Otosan at the door.
"Hello. Sorry to come so late but I had errands to run," He apologized with a small smile. The smile on my face disappeared when I took in the lost expression in his eyes. IT was as if he were empty and wasn't sure how to feel. Why?
I bit my lip but decided not to say anything now, "Hey Nakano-Otosan! I was worried about you!"
He smiled at me and I was surprised when he came over to sit on my other side without hesitation, "Sorry, Mikey. I didn't mean to worry you but I just had to get something done."
"What are those "things"?" Leo asked suspiciously.
"Well…I guess it's okay to tell you now," Nakano-Otosan sighed after sharing a glance with Sensei. I was immediately intrigued and leaned towards him, "I know we have this new situation with the Shredder going on…but I went to confess to my involvement with the Shredder and his blackmailing to let me have custody of you four."
Donnie, Leo, and I stood up quickly as I yelled, "You WHAT?!"
"It was never right for me to just strip Hamato-san's custody of you all," He went on almost nonplussed and my mouth dropped open, "So I told them everything about the blackmail Shredder had on me and revoked my custody rights."
Silence filled the room and Leo whirled his head to look at Sensei, but Sensei looked just as stunned at this point. I was sure it was that he didn't know about the "custody rights" part.
"Nakano-san, you did not have to revoke your custody rights," Sensei immediately replied with a slight pained look on his face.
"I wanted to and not because I do not care for your four but because I care a whole lot. My life is a mess that I'm working hard to fix from now on. Not only that, but Hamato-san has a lot more money and means to care for your four than I ever could," Nakano-Otosan claimed while looking at the ground sadly. He seemed so lost that I felt my eyes watering in response.
"Does that mean…that we're Sensei's again?" Raph asked in confusion, his green eyes wide. Casey and April shared a glance as Leo blinked at our real father.
"Yes, there is a mess of the paperwork but that's the other thing I've been doing…trying to sort that out. With Donnie, Raph, and Mikey, they all need a change of last name too which I've started the paperwork for," Nakano-Otosan explained and I gulped down a lump in my throat.
"Did…did you tell them about that thing from your past?" I asked softly and he looked at me with a small smile.
"I did…but after some contacting and digging, the man didn't want to press charges. I felt that I got off too clean so I sent him a letter. I want to try to become more involved in his rehabilitation if he wants me to," Nakano-Otosan told us as he actually smiled a little bit. I sighed in relief.
"That's good," Leo smiled warmly at him and it made Nakano-Otosan's eyes widened. I grinned at the sight of it.
"Wow…I'm speechless. So much is happening now," Donnie spoke up, his voice barely above a whisper. I looked at him and bumped arms with him, smiling brightly. He blinked but returned the smile.
"Tell me about it," Miwa groaned as she laid her head back on the couch. Leo laughed at her. Casey also laughed.
"Well, it's good that you're starting out fresh, Nakano!" Casey grinned with a thumb up. Nakano-Otosan looked that much happier to have such approval and I realized he was probably very worried about what we thought.
"Nakano-san, I had no idea you were trying to go through the paperwork process alone. Starting tomorrow, please allow me to assist," Sensei desperately pleaded and I watched our real father's eyes become so wide. He nodded his head in agreement and I smiled warmly at the relived and happy look on Sensei's face.
"Thank you for everything, Hamato-san," Nakano-Otosan bowed his head and I noticed Leo smiling a lot at him then. It made me happy to see Leo approving of him more and more now! I looked towards Raph and he noticed. We shared a grin.
"What do you think, Mondo?" I asked as I turned to my friend who had been quiet throughout this little revelation. I froze at what looked to be a lonely expression on his face, even though he was smiling, as he looked at me.
"I think...you really do have an awesome family, Mikey," He closed his eyes and smiled again but it seemed different than usual. For some reason, I felt terrible…as if I had done something to him. The others looked just as surprised and worried as I did. I didn't want to question him right now though.
It became awkwardly quiet and I panicked, not wanting my friend to feel put out by anything so I turned to the others, "So, does anyone wanna forget about all the drama and Shredder right now and see what's on TV?!"
Donnie caught on, "Sure! Let's find the remote first…" He trailed off and movement crossed our eye. I busted our laughing hard when Leo waved the remote at us with a smug look no his face. Miwa joined in the laughter as did April.
Leo always had the remote first! Raph rolled his eyes and scoffed as Casey shook his head.
"Whatever ya do, don't put on crime related shows on. Donnie will tell you how it ends in the first ten minutes," Raph joked and Donnie's face fell flat.
"Screw you Raph!" He shouted as the laughter continued while Sensei and Nakano-Otosan both scolded him to use nicer language. I was dying.
I looked over at Mondo, who seemed a bit better now. He caught me looking and I shot him the brightest smile I could to put him at ease. His eyes widened for a second before he grinned largely back at me. Score!
A few minutes of arguing while browsing through the TV listings my ringtone goes off. My brothers had a laugh watching me thump around trying to find my phone. I had gotten it back from Shredder's building when we got to the police station from where he stashed it in his office when he had captured me.
I brightened when I finally located it but my eyes widened at the caller I.D. It wasn't a contact I put into my phone, that was for sure! I was so surprised by this that I hit my head on the table by the front door when I stood straight.
"Who is it?" Leo called from over at the pit. I contemplated not answering it and when Leo noticed my expression he narrowed his eyes, "Mikey?"
I looked towards them uneasily as I rubbed my head and decided to just answer it. If it was the Shredder then I'd wanna know, "Hello?"
"Hey kid!"
My eyes widened and I gasped. The phone slipped from my grasp and hit the floor. The others noticed and the room went silent. April paused the TV and my brothers stood from their respective spots.
"Michelangelo? Who is on the phone?" Sensei asked but his eyes looked almost dark, like he thought it was the Shredder.
Quickly picking up my phone, I turned towards them again and gestured with my finger for them to give me a second, "Is…is this Xever?" Raph and Casey outright gasped while the others froze.
I put the call on speaker so they could hear because I wasn't sure I'd know what to say myself, "Yup, it's me kiddo."
"What the hell are you callin' for?!" Raph roared and I jumped as he joined my side. The others began following him and soon there was a circle around me.
"How did you even get Mikey's number?!" Donnie demanded, looking like a python ready to strike. I felt myself sweat with fear at the deadly look of rage on my brothers' faces.
"Damn, chill out. I put my number in his phone back when he was capture when Master Shredder didn't know."
"Oh…" I trailed off as I blinked. That would make sense, "Then why are you calling me?"
"Does the Shredder know you are calling my son?" Nakano demanded, looking just as angry as my brothers.
"No, he doesn't. I'm away from him at the moment. I was calling because…. well I guess I just wanted to let you know we're not in the country anymore," Xever said with an easy tone, like none of it mattered. I gawked at the phone.
"So, you are back in Japan," Miwa smirked towards the phone.
"No use hiding it, it's pretty obvious."
"Why in the world are you telling us this? You're a fugitive too!" Donnie shouted, sounding more shocked than anything. Xever laughed.
"I don't know...guess I just thought I'd confirm it for you. Don't you have questions you wanna ask me? Why aren't you asking?" He sounded amused.
"I guess our biggest question is what the is Shredder planning?" April asked since the rest of us were still gawking at the carefree tone Xever was displaying.
"Don't know all the details but he's gathering up his Foot clan here in Japan. He mentioned getting revenge but nothing's solid yet. He's having Tigerclaw train them."
"You do realize that we'll notify the police that we can confirm Oroku Saki's in Japan?" Leo retorted, not sounding sorry in the least.
"I do realize that. Good luck finding him though. I wouldn't mind if he got caught to be honest. I want to go back to the jobs I'm good at."
"So, you've said before," Raph rolled his eyes and I smiled a bit. Raph really does remind me of Xever and vice versa!
"Anyways, I just wanted to warn you. I'm changing phones after this conversation so don't bother trying to call me, kid!"
"Hey, wait! Why?!" I demanded all of a sudden, feeling put off for some reason. Apparently, this was funny because Xever laughed loudly.
"I wanted to help to an extent, but I'm still a selfish person. I don't want to get caught and if I help you anymore then I will be. This is the last time I'll help you, kid."
For some reason, warmth spread through my chest because I somehow knew that wasn't true, "Thanks Xever, but you're not a very good liar."
The others, especially Donnie, looked surprised at me but I couldn't help but feel fond of this sort of bad guy that helped me out as much as he had. Xever went silent on the other line and I worried he'd hang up on me.
"Just don't ever do anything stupid, kid." And with that he hung up the call. I blinked at the phone and then jumped when Casey, Raph, April, and Donnie began laughing. Nakano-Otosan and Sensei were both smiling at me as Leo shook his head with a smile.
"How do you manage to befriend even the bad guys Mikey?" Leo asked almost seriously but he looked mostly amused.
"He obviously cares about you," Miwa laughed lightly, "I've never seen him like that before. Granted, I don't know him well…"
I laughed and beamed, "Well, I dunno about being friends but Xever's alright!"
"I can't believe he risked his neck just to call you about something you already knew!" Mondo said between loud laughs. He almost had tears in his eyes. I grinned. Was it that funny?
"At least now we know for sure," Nakano-Otosan replied with a smile.
"Yeah! Also, Xever reminds me of Raph!" I replied and Raph stopped laughing, looking over at me in shock while Casey laughed even harder.
"In what way?!" Raph demanded and I couldn't help but laugh myself at his expression.
"Actually, I can kinda see it," Donnie agreed as Raph turned mutinous eyes on him.
We kept on this topic of conversation for a few minutes before I caught Leo and Sensei watching us all to the side. I was curious as to what they were talking about so I pretended I wasn't listening.
"You know Sensei…I never thought trying to find friends my freshman year of high school would turn out quite like this," Leo laughed softly and I smiled to myself, "And how is it that I didn't just find friends but somehow found brothers?"
"It's a miracle that should never be taken for granted," Sensei answered him with a warm smile that made me feel happy, "I, too, never thought my new life would change so much when I first moved to New York years ago."
"I'm glad you decided to, Sensei," Leo whispered and they hugged. The emotion and truth behind their words made my eyes water.
I looked towards my others brothers and friends who were messing around with each other, my chosen family, and knew that when the Shredder did come back, even if he didn't come back for years, we'd be more than ready to handle him again.
I'm a bit rusty since I haven't written constantly in months but I feel content with how I left things here. Situations will arise again in the sequel, which I haven't come up with a Title for yet but I'll put in the summary that it's a sequel.
Hope you guys liked! If you would, please review and let me know what you think or constructive criticism. It's important for me to know if I missed something important because, unfortunately, that does sometimes happen to writers. I can't wait to read any reviews! Thanks in advance!
Stay as Awesome as Usual~!
