Inkling X Mario

"Splat!"
The Inkling crowed in joy as her ink poured into the balloon. The thing, as she had wanted, began to swell up from the sheer amount of ink that she had protruded. She poked it, admiring her handiwork with glee, before wrapping her hand around it and stepping further into the hallway.
There was no one around. It was the middle of a bright, sunny day, and everyone was outside. Perfect.
She gripped the Ink Balloon and crept to the window, peering down out of it. Plenty of people were walking around the yard below, conversing among themselves. Bayonetta was trying to speak to Samus, who as usual was completely ignoring her. The Inkling grinned, baring its fangs as it raised its arm, already fantasizing about what the Witch would look like covered in ink…
"Mamma Mia!"
The noise came from behind her. The Inkling jumped upward, surprised, and the balloon slipped out of her hands and onto the floor.
It exploded with far more force than a water balloon would have. The Inkling recoiled as Orange ink splattered all over her clothes and face.
"Mamma Mia!" The voice said again. The inkling absorbed the Ink into her body, as all Inklings did, and stared around the hall in horror.
The entire thing, and the man standing in front of her, were covered in Ink. She stared at it openmouthed as the man stared at her.
"Uh, sorry." She said, laughing a little. "That wasn't… I mean, I wasn't GOING to throw that in the house…"
"But you were going to throw it at someone, weren't you?" Mario asked her, as he wiped the ink out of his eyes. The Inkling laughed sheepishly, as she nervously backed to the window.
"Uh, no." She said. "Uh, I mean to say... I just wanted to paint the yard… orange…?" She grinned sheepishly. "I thought it would be a nice change…"
Mario stared at her, and she backed up to closer to the window.
"Uhhh, it was nice talking to you!" She said quickly, as she shifted to Squid form and squeezed out of the window. She fell to the ground below and took off across the yard. Samus and Bayonetta watched her go.
"Up to no good again, are we?" Bayonetta chuckled, as the Inkling took over into the woods.
Mario watched her go from the window, half considering whether or not to chase after her. But he pulled away and turned to the room.
"Someone has to clean up this mess…"
