Chapter 28

"No! You're not going." She said stubbornly. They were watching a movie at Thalia's house, cuddling, when Sean told him about the weekend getaway plan for Leo's 21st birthday. "What?" He asked and untangled himself from her. "You heard me." She said sternly. Sean raised his eyebrow at her. "I don't understand why you are so against with this party." He asked amusedly. "I think you know why." She said and she glared at him. Sean look confused. "No I don't think I know."

"Seriously?" There was an edge on her tone. "Seriously." Sean mocked her and gave her his goofy grin. She punches him in the arm. "Ouch." That hurts you know he complained rubbing his arm. "Seriously Wise Girl, what's wrong?" He asked worriedly. She looked away from him and focused her gaze on the movie. Sean moves closer to her wrapping his arms around her. "Annabeth." He called. "Just please tell me so that I can understand." He pleaded.

She crossed her arms over her chest. Sean sat up straight turning Annabeth to face him. "So?" He encouraged. "It's Leo." She said dryly. "What's up with Leo?" He asked. "I don't think he's a good influence to you." She said. "What?" He asked as he chuckled. Annabeth glared at him. "You're confusing me here Wise Girl."

"Didn't you hear me? I said I don't think he's quite a good influence for you." She muttered. "You know that's not true." He replied defending Leo. "He's a good friend Annabeth. Remember he's the one who stood for me when I was so lost. I know he can be an idiot sometimes but despite that he's still a good friend."

"I don't know. It's just that every time you are with him you have this trouble." She explained timidly. "Trouble?" What do you mean?" He asked. "You know girl trouble. He always managed to drag you into his mess." Sean chuckled. "It's that why you don't want me to go?" He asked. "Don't make fun of me." She growled. Sean reached for her face and kissed her lightly. "You know well that I don't care any of the other girls." He explained to her.

Annabeth just huffed. "Then there's Drew." Drew is Leo's cousin. They met her once and to Annabeth's dismay, she instantly took interest in Sean. "Drew? You're kidding right?" He asked with disbelief in his voice. "Do I look like I am kidding?" She said defensively. Sean smiled widely. "You're jealous." He smirked. "I am not!" She snarled. "Oh yes you do." Sean teased. "Oh gods you're so annoying!" She complained.

Sean became serious. "We can't do anything about Drew. She is his cousin after all. So whether we like it or not she will be there." He explained. "See that's why I don't want you to go!" She reasoned out. "Baby." Sean called. "Don't call me that." She hissed. Sean let out a desperate sigh. "Why don't you come with me then? If it makes you feel better." He said.

"What?" She asked confusedly. "Come with me, I'm sure Leo won't mind." She shook her head. Sean rubs the back of his head. He doesn't know what gotten with his girlfriend. She is always the one acting mature but today she definitely isn't. "Annabeth it's just 3 days." He explained. "No!" She snarled.

Sure he loves her, wait she still doesn't know that but she can too complicated sometimes. "Please." He pleaded. She just shook her head. He started to get impatient. "Don't you trust me?" He blurted out. Annabeth snapped her head towards him. It looks like she wasn't expecting that question. "Do you?" He repeated. "Of course I do." She replied. "Then why can't you let me go?" He asked annoyed.

Annabeth raised her eyebrow at him sensing his annoyance. "I told you already." She stated. Sean rubs his face for frustration. "That's unfair." He complained. "What's unfair?" She asked confusedly. "Last time you didn't even ask for my permission when you went to one of your co-workers party, what is his name? Oh right James." He said feeling hurt. "But did I complain about it? No." He said dryly.

"That's different." She defended. "I don't think so. We both know that he likes you." Sean declared. "So what if he likes me. It's not like I like him back." She explained. "Exactly my point." He tried to reason out. "James is different from Drew you know. I am sure that he won't try anything against me unlike those girls who tried to make a move on you or Drew to be exact." She replied annoyingly. "Annabeth." He called frustrated.

His girlfriend is a pain in the ass when she was jealous. He let out a deep sigh. "You know I am still going whether you like it or not." He stated. Wrong move. Annabeth shot a glare at him. "Is that so?" "Wait I didn't mean it that way." He tried to explain but Annabeth stand up and started to walk away. He tried to stop her but she pushes him away. She immediately run to her room and slammed the door almost hitting his face.

"Wise Girl." He called. He tried to open the door but it was locked. "Go away!" Annabeth shouted. "Let me explain. Please hear me out first. It came out the wrong way, that's not what I really meant." He tried to explain. "Please open the door." He begs. He tried to knock countless time but she won't open the door. He slumps his body on the floor feeling defeated. "Wise Girl." He tried to call again.

Half an hour later she won't still open the door, then his phone rings. "Hello?" He answered. It was Charles. Charles talked to him for a bit. "Okay I'm coming home." He replied. "Be there in half an hour." Then he ended the call. He tried to knock again. "Wise Girl I need to go. Please open the door." He pleaded again. When she didn't answer he stands up and let out a deep sigh. "I'm sorry okay. Please don't be mad at me. I already promise Leo that I am going that is why. It's just 3 days. Baby please understand?" When still he got no answer he started to walk away and head towards the door.

When Annabeth heard the front door opens she buried her face in her hands. Gods I feel like an idiot. She thought to herself. She hated how she reacted, stupid jealousy clouding her mind. It was their first fight after all. She stops herself from calling him. Her fatal flaw after all is pride. She buried her face in the pillow and after a while she dozed off to sleep.

The following morning the group met. It was one of their usual routine every weekend, to have breakfast at their favorite cafe. Annabeth is still ignoring Sean. He tried to talk to her but she ignored him and sits in between Thalia and Katie. The others noticed them. "What's going on with you two? Are you fighting?" Thalia asked. Annabeth just shrugged her shoulders.

Sean sits in the other table since there was no place for him. Charles noticed him and he accompany him. "Are you two okay?" He asked. Sean shook his head. "She's mad at me." He explained. "When? Why?" Charles asked curiously. "Last night. Remember when you called me, I was at their house." He started. "She got mad at me when I insist to go to Leo's birthday party." "And why is that?" Charles asked. "Drew." He simply replied and instantly Charles understands.

"But you are still going?" Charles asked. Sean nodded. "I already promised him. Guess I just have to face her when I got back. That is if she still wanted to see me." Sean said desperately. Charles just chuckled and squeezed his shoulders. "It's just a silly misunderstanding. I'm sure she'll get by." Charles said. "Hope you're right." He wished.

When the orders were ready Sean immediately accompanied Thalia. "So what's up with you two? When I came home last night she was already sleeping." Thalia said. "Well she's mad at me." He explained. "What did you do now Angelo?" Thalia threatened. "Nothing. It's just a misunderstanding." He defended himself. They make way to their table. Sean grabs Annabeth's coffee and sticks some note in it. He placed her cup in front of her and went back to the other table. Charles smirked at him same with the others.

"I bet Annabeth won't last that long. She'll forgive Sean right away." Travis whispered to his brother Connor. "Want to bet about it?" He offered. "You know I don't back away from bets." Travis replied. "30 minutes." He bet. "1 hour." Connor replied. "Here's the deal, whoever wins will own the car for a week." Connor explained. Both brothers agreed and shook hands. Katie noticed them. "Don't tell me you are making bet about them?" She asked amusedly. Travis and Connor just grinned at her. "Idiot!" She muttered.

Annabeth noticed the note on her cup. She read and it says "Sorry Wise Girl. Please talk to me already. ='(. I Miss You." Her heart melts when she finished reading it. She saw the others smirking at her. She glared at them. She noticed at the corner of her eyes that Sean is looking at her. She bows down her head pretending like nothing had happened. Silena grabs her cup and read the note. "Aww that's so sweet." She commented and earning a glare from Annabeth.

Sean groaned when he noticed that Annabeth ignore his note. Charles looks at him with pity. He just shrugged his shoulders and let out a deep sigh. Suddenly his phone rings. "Hello." He answered. It was Leo. "Yeah I'm at the café. You can pick me up here." He said. "Okay see you in a bit." Then he ended the call. "Can I borrow the keys?" He asked Charles. "Leo?" He asked. Sean nodded. "I need to get my bag." He said. Charles handed him the keys. Sean stands up and walks towards the door. Charles soon followed but before he does, he went to Silena kissed her cheek and tells her that he'll be back.

Annabeth's gaze followed Sean. The two brothers stand outside Charles' car, talking. She noticed Sean looking at their direction and she turned to look away. "Don't be too stubborn." Silena advised Annabeth. Surely she's feeling guilty already. She looked outside again and she saw a car pulled in front of Charles and Sean. The car looks familiar, when the window on the driver side opens she recognized Leo. She silently cursed. How can she forget? They'll be going away today. She noticed Sean grab his bag on the car. Before she even knows it she ran outside and hugs Sean from his back.

"Woah!" She heard Sean react. "I'm sorry." Annabeth said. He instantly turned around as Annabeth pulled away from his back. Sean looks at him with so much love. He envelops her with a hug. "Hey it's okay. I should be the one apologizing." He replied. Charles watches them with amusement in his eyes. Sean leaned down and kissed Annabeth on lips. They were startled when the car honks. "Drew!" Leo scolded. "He's taking too long. We need to go now." Drew demanded.

"Sorry Sean." Leo apologized and get out from the car. He nodded on Charles and walk towards them. They heard the others walking outside the café. "Looks like I win brother." Travis teased. "Fine. Whatever." Connor replied smugly. "Hand me the keys." He ordered Connor. The others look at them confusedly. "They made a bet between you two." Katie explained. The brothers earned a glare from Annabeth but they just chuckled.

"Ready?" Leo asked Sean. "Where are you guys going?" Connor asked. "Athens." Leo replied. "We'll visit my parents and then we're heading to Varkiza for my birthday party." He said. "Nice! I haven't been in Varkiza for a while. The place is great." Connor stated. "You bet." Leo replied chuckling. "Yeah I miss that place so many memories." Connor said chuckling. "You mean so many girls." Travis teased. "Ha ha ha" Connor mocked.

"Hey why don't you guys come with us?" Leo invited. "That's what I've been suggesting to Annabeth." Sean commented. "Oh my god! Don't tell me you invited them." Drew shouted from the car. "Shut up!" Leo yelled back. "What do you think guys? It will be fun. The more the merrier." He commented. Sean patted his back. "That's not a bad idea. You guys deserved a break especially you." He said to Annabeth. She just smiled at him. "We're in!" The Stoll brothers said in unison. "How about you Charles?" Sean asked. Charles looks at Silena. She smiled at him sweetly. Charles just chuckled. "I guess so I can take a rest off on Monday." He replied. Silena squealed and kiss him on the cheek.

"Katie?" Travis asked. "Yeah whatever I've nothing better to do anyway. Besides it's been a while since I've taken some time off from work." Travis grinned at her and put her shoulder on Katie. Katie pushes him making him fall. "Thals?" Sean asked. "If Annabeth is coming then I'm in." Thalia answered. The others turned to look at Annabeth. "Urgh!" She complained. "Please baby?" Sean gave her his puppy dog eyes that she started to love. "Fine." She answered. Sean hugs her and kisses her on the lips.

"Oh gods get a room." Thalia muttered. "We'll inform Chris and Clarisse, maybe they can come since they are in Athens right now." Silena said. "Okay that we'll be great." Leo answered. "So we will see you guys there later?" He asked. "Yup, we'll just get our stuff ready and we'll see you there may be late this afternoon." Charles said. "Okay. Can't wait this is going to be exciting." He said happily.

"I'll see you guys there okay?" Sean said to the others. They nodded their heads. "See you later Wise Girl." He said and pecks her on the lips. He turned his back on her and head towards the car. "Wait where exactly are you seating?" He asked Sean. Leo answered for him. "In here." He gestured to the shot gun seat beside Drew. You see Leo's car is a pickup truck so it can accommodate 2 person on the shot gun seat (A/N I sure you all know. I just want to explain it ha ha). She saw Drew smirked at her. "Oh no you don't." He stops Sean. She raises her eyebrow at Leo.

Leo immediately realized what Annabeth wants. "But of course. Drew get in the back please. Sit beside Caroline (his other cousin)." He ordered. Drew crossed her arm around her chest. "No!" She said stubbornly. "Then Sean will not go with you." Annabeth threatened. Sean looks at her amusedly. He was amazed how her girlfriend is so protective on him. "Hey it's okay." He assured her.

"Don't be stupid Drew. Just get in the back." Leo ordered again. "Fine!" She grumbled and slams the door at the back. "Bitch!" Thalia muttered and they laugh at Drew who just glared at them. "Okay let's go Sean. Bye guys. See you there." He said and hop onto the driver seat. Sean kissed Annabeth on the cheek. "I'll miss you." He said and smiled at her. "I'll miss you too." She replied. Travis and Connor pretended to gag themselves. "Jeez stop it you two." Thalia complained. Sean just smiled at them.

"Drive safely." Charles reminded to Leo. "I will." He replied. "Bye." Sean waved at them. She winked at Annabeth who just laughs at him. They drove away. "Okay let's meet here after lunch." Travis suggested. "Sounds good to me." Charles answered and the others agreed. "Hope it will be worth it." Annabeth mumbled. "It will be." Connor replied smiling. "This is going to be exciting!" Travis commented.
