Chapter 31

Sean and Annabeth were still snuggling on the kitchen. Charles barged in making Annabeth jump and hit Sean's jaw. "Ouch!" He muttered. "Oh my gods! I'm so sorry." She apologized while caressing Sean's jaw. He smiled at her. "It's okay. But a kiss will make it better though." He said smirking. Annabeth just glared at him.

"Umm.. Can I talk to you Sean?" Charles asked awkwardly. "I can come back later if you like?" Annabeth blushed deep red. "No! You can talk to him." She said defensively. Sean smirked at her girlfriend. He stands up and kissed Annabeth on the cheek. "I'll be right back."

"So what's up?" He asked his brother cheery. "Well someone's happy." Charles teased. Sean just smiled. "We're okay now." He replied. "I can see that." Charles smirked.

"You wanted to talk to me?" Sean asked. "Yeah, about what happened a while back." Charles studied him. Sean paled. "Nothing." He lied. "You froze after you save the girl." Charles stated. Sean knows that he'll never get away. "I had a flashback." He said as he glanced around making sure nobody can hear them.

"What do you mean?" Charles asked. "2 years ago Kelsi almost drowned. She almost didn't make it." He said sadly. Charles regretted that he brought the topic. "I'm sorry I didn't know." He apologized. "It's okay. How was the girl? Lily? Is that her name?" Sean asked.

"Yes, she's fine. They took her to the hospital. They wanted to meet you and thank you personally." Charles said. "It was nothing." Sean simply replied. Charles shook his head. He knows how humble Sean is. "You save a life. It is something that you should be proud of." "I am, let's just not make a big deal out of it." Sean said shyly. Charles chuckled.

The others came in. They admired Sean's heroic stunt. Leo approached Sean. "Hey man can I talk to you?" He asked nervously. Sean smiled. He knows why his friend is nervous. "Yeah sure." He replied. He saw Annabeth looking at them. He smiled at her.

They went outside the house. "So what's up?" Sean asked. "I.. Look about yesterday… It's umm.. Well you see.." He stammered. Sean hit his back playfully. "Spit it out Fire Boy." He teased. "It's my entire fault. I am so sorry. I didn't mean to cause any trouble between you and Annabeth." Leo said embarrassed.

"I know." Sean replied. Leo turned to look at him with wide eyes. "You know?!" He said a little too loud. Sean chuckled. "Yes. Who else would do that to me?" He teased. "If I remember right, you already do that to me a couple of times." Sean pointed. Leo rubs the back of his head while blushing.

"It won't happen again." Leo promised. Annabeth decided to barge in. "What is it?" She asked. Leo suddenly shifted uncomfortably. He looks like his ready to pass out. "N..Nothing." He replied. Sean chuckled. He wraps his arm around Annabeth. "You guys are okay?" Leo asked disbelievingly.

"You have a problem with it?" Annabeth asked harshly. Leo shook his head. "No.. No, I mean it's good that you two are okay." He said. Leo felt like Annabeth knows something and that any time she will crush him into pieces. The way she looks at him makes him want to run away and hide.

"I'll better be going. I'll talk to you later." Leo said to Sean. "Wait up." Annabeth said. Leo looks at her confusedly. "I have to ask you something." She said. Leo gulped. Here it goes. "Is it okay if I invite my friend here?"

"What?" He replied dumbly. Annabeth smirked sensing his nervousness. "I said, is it okay with you if I invite my friend? " She asked once again. "Oh of course, it's totally fine with me." He replied immediately. She narrows her eyes on him then she smile. Leo was still not convinced that Annabeth knows nothing.

She turned her back and face Sean. Leo takes this time to run away from them. Sean wraps his arms on Annabeth. "Did you see the look on his face?" Annabeth said smirking. "You're a bad girl." Sean teased. "Hey!" She said shoving his chest lightly. "It was his fault. He should know better that you are already off the market."

Sean chuckled. He pecked her on the lips. "So care to tell me who you invited?" He asked. "You'll see." She simply replied. "Oh come on Wise Girl. Why won't you tell me?" He asked pouting. "Oh you know her." She said giving a hint.

Sean rolled his eyes on her. "I know a lot of people. Care to be more specific?" He asked. Annabeth shook her head. She likes to tease her boyfriend. "Nope, I can't wait to see the look on Leo's face." She said evilly. Sean narrows his eyes on his girlfriend. She grins at him. "Relax, it's not like I'm going to hurt him."

"Fine." He surrendered. "Care to join me in the kitchen. I'm starving." Annabeth rolled her eyes. "You are always hungry. Nothing new." She stated. "Of course not. I didn't eat last night and this morning." He said.

"Oh yeah I remember." She said blushing. "Come on." Sean said as he grabs Annabeth hand and led her to the kitchen.
