Chapter 39

Sean decided to go to the store to keep his minds off things. Leo was there of course. It will be the first time that he will see him since the incident in the bar. "Sean!" He called when he saw him entering the store. Sean smiled at him.

"Hey man. How have you been?" Leo asked as he clapped him on his back. "I'm good man."

Sean made his way to the office and Leo followed him. "So how's your cousin?" Leo asked innocently trying to get him to talk "He's fine. Things are okay between us if that's what you want to ask." Sean stated.

"Well okay you got me. You can't blame me for asking. What's the real story behind it? Why did he have to hit you?"

He's having a debate in his inner self whether to tell him the truth or not. He let out a deep sigh and decides to choose the latter.

"Nico is my cousin from my Dad's side. We are close back then. We're just like brothers. He got mad when I took off without telling him where I was going." Sean explained.

"Why didn't you tell him?" Leo inquired.

"I was afraid that he'll going to tell it to my dad." Sean said knowing that it was a lame excuse but Leo bought it. "So how did he find you?"

"He learned the truth when he talked to my dad. I guess he found me using his connections."

"Oh okay. So I guess he have some big connections knowing how far is New York to Greece." Leo commented. "You have no idea." Sean mumbled to himself.

"What was that?" Leo asked. "Nothing." Sean replied.

"So what happens now?" Leo asked again. "What do you mean?" He asked. "Well he tried to find you so maybe he wants something? Or is he trying to convince you to go back to New York?"

Sean is having a headache from all the questions that Leo is asking. "I don't know Leo. We haven't talk about it yet." He lied. "He's in Athens right now doing some work. I'll introduce him to you guys once he came back."

"Oh okay that will be great. He seems like a nice guy anyway." Leo joked.

Sean chuckled. "Of course he is. He's my cousin you idiot." Leo stuck his tongue out to him. "Wow very mature Valdez." He mocked.

"Whatever. I'm going back there. Just tell us when you'll introduce him to us so we can tell the others." Leo said. Sean just nodded. Leo went out the door leaving Sean alone in the office.

He leaned on the chair thinking on how he will tell them the truth about him, just thinking about it makes him want to throw up. Gods he hated it. Why does it have to be so difficult?

He was startled when suddenly his phone rings. Annabeth is calling him. He hasn't seen her since at the bar but they talked constantly.

"Hey!" He answered trying to be jolly.

"Hey you what are you doing?" She asked.

"Nothing I'm just at the store right now." He replied. "What about you?"

"I'm at the site right now." She replied. "I'm kind of bored."

"Annabeth Chase is bored?" He stated teasingly. "You run out of books to read?"

"Oh shut it." She groaned.

"I thought you miss me that is why you called." He said faking hurt.

"Nah, why would you think that?" She mused.

"Oh I don't know maybe because your boyfriend is amazing." He teased.

"You've got a big ego right there Seaweed Brain." She joked.

"Nah, admit it's true." He insisted.

"Whatever." She huffed.

"Hey would you like to go have dinner with me tonight?" He suddenly asked thinking that he should tell her already.

"Like a date?" She teased. She seems like in a good mood.

"Hmm I don't know, maybe? Are you okay with it? I mean if it's a date?" He asked playing along.

She laughs. "I'd love to. Pick me up at 6 at the office." Sean smiled. "I will. I can't wait to see you."

"Me too, I've got to go. I love you. See you later."

"I love you too."

He groaned as he ended the call. Is he really going to tell her tonight? He just stared blankly debating on himself what he should do and how he is suppose to tell her.

He closed his eyes and all he can think is the worst possible way she's going to react. He's not even aware that tears started to flow from his eyes. He immediately wiped it. Gods he'll never know what to do when his worst nightmare will come true. He loves her so much.

In Athens , Greece

Silena was sitting on the lobby of the hotel waiting for her colleagues. They are meeting some clients when she noticed some guy who just came out from the elevator. She fixed her gazed on him and she recognized him. It was Nico, the guy who hit Sean, who happens to be his cousin. Pretty messed up situation. They still haven't known the story behind it.

She noticed him looking around and that's when she studied him. He's quite tall just like his cousin but a little shorter than Sean. He has a shaggy, messy black hair and an olive-like skin. She can't tell the color of his eyes since she's a few feet away from him. She can't recall noticing it in the bar since it happened all too fast. She wonders if they have the same color as Sean.

She can tell that he is good looking just like Sean. He has this aura of confidence and authority. She can tell that he is much older than Sean, maybe two to three years was her guess. She can tell that he comes from a wealthy family on how he carries himself, come to think of it Sean does too but she never have given a thought about it until now.

Curiosity is building up inside her. She found him mysterious. So when she sees him leaving she followed him. She maintains a good distance from him not wanting to be notice. He's heading to the exit when somebody called him.

"Nico!" He stops in his tracks and she saw him stiffen. Two guys approached him. "Look who's here. Nico di Angelo what are you doing here in Greece?" The first guy said.

"Nico di Angelo." She mumbled. "Why does his name sounds familiar?"

She catches the other guy asking another question to Nico. "Any news about your cousin Percy?"

Nico shook his head. "I'm on a business trip here. Sadly we haven't heard any news about him yet." He answered. The guys just nodded.

"I've got to go now. It was nice seeing you two here." Nico said very eager to leave.

"Oh okay sure. Hope you find Percy soon. Take care."

Nico was about to go when he realized something. "Wait, what are you guys doing here anyway?" Nico suddenly asked.

"Conference." The two guys stated. They said their goodbyes once again and leave.

Nico started to walk towards the exit. He's a few feet away when he stops and glances around as if making sure that no one notices him anymore.

This got Silena a little more interested on how he was acting. She was about to follow him when someone called her. She turned around and it was her colleagues. She turns to look over her shoulder but she can't find Nico anymore. She let out a deep sigh. She has this feeling that she can't seem to understand. Nico di Angelo. She's racking her brain trying to remember his name. She heard that name before. She started to walk to where her colleagues are but at the back of her mind she is determine to find about this guy but for the meantime she got work to do.

Sean came out from the office and settle beside Leo on the counter. "Hey." He greeted. Leo nodded for response. "Few customers?" He asked.

"Yeah, that's why I'm so bored right now. There's nothing to do than to watch lame shows." Leo grumbled. Sean chuckled. "You're just bored because there are no ladies that you can flirt on." Sean teased.

"What are you talking about dude? I am a changed man now can't you see." Leo countered.

Sean raised his eyebrow at him not satisfied with his answer. "Alright maybe a little." Leo surrendered. "But I love Reyna and no girl can replace her."

"Whatever you say man. So you love her, huh?" Sean teased. Leo blushed realizing what he said.

"Yeah I do." He admitted. "I am happy for you. I just can't believe that Leo is in love." Sean teased.

Leo punched him in the arm. "Shut up."

"Hey can I ask you something?"

"What is it?" Leo asked curiously.

"What if you found out that someone you love has been lying to you for a long time?" Sean asked seriously. "What are you going to do?"

"Are you serious? You are really asking me that question? Are you sick?" Leo felt Sean's forehead. He smacks it away. "Jeez Leo just answer my question. I am serious."

Leo scrunched his eyebrows. He looks at Sean and studied him. Well he looks like he is serious and nervous. "Are you okay?"

Sean just nodded. "I am fine. Just answer my question." He demanded.

"Okay okay. Well it depends on what she lied about but if I love her then I'm willing to forgive and forget. "

"You'll do that, even if she lied for so long?"

Leo nodded. "What is with you asking those questions?"

"Just wondering, I have just watched a movie about it a while ago and I just wanted to know your opinion." Sean lied.

"Oh okay. You are weird." Leo muttered.

Sean stuck his tongue out at him. "And immature." Leo added.

"Whatever." Sean chuckled trying to shrug his nervousness. "Anyways I'm going out early." He declared.

"Going somewhere?" Leo inquired.

"Yup, I have a dinner date with Annabeth."

"Okay. I'll see you tomorrow then."

Sean nodded. "Okay, so I'm gonna go."

"Take care. Say hi to Annabeth for me."

"I will. Thanks man."

Leo watches as Sean head towards the door. He knows something is not quite right with him. He is acting weird since this morning. Well he intends to find out. And what's with those questions? He didn't buy his answer. Something is up he is sure about it. His deep thoughts were interrupted when a customer came in.
