Chapter 40

Sean parks his car outside of Annabeth's building. He called her to tell her he's already outside. Minutes later Annabeth walk out from the building. Sean got out from the car to meet her.

"Hi beautiful." Sean greeted her with a kiss.

"Hello." She smiled. Instantly her hands went up to where Nico punched him. Sean smiled from her girlfriend's gesture. He kissed her hands assuring her that he's okay.

"Ready to go?" He asked. Annabeth nodded. He intertwined their fingers and escorted her towards the car. He opened the door for her. She pecked him on the lips before hopping in.

During dinner Sean is trying to find an opening on how he will tell Annabeth but he can't seem to find the right one. Annabeth kept talking about her work. And she looks so happy. Sean was trying hard to focus and listen to her. On the middle of it she noticed him.

"Hey are you okay? You look edgy." Annabeth commented. "Is there something wrong?"

Sean shook his head and smiled trying to cover his nervousness. "Nope I'm fine Wise Girl."

"Are you sure? Is it about your cousin?" She guessed.

"No. Ugh maybe." He rambled.

"Okay, would you mind telling me about him then? I think it's about time you tell me about him. I've been waiting all night."

That's supposed to be the opening that he was waiting for but he found himself lying again. Most of it was true but he still lied.

He took her home. He walked her in front of her door.

"Thank you for the dinner." She said. Sean just smiled at her. "And I'm looking forward to meeting your cousin."

"I bet you are." He teased. He received a playful shove from her. "He's excited to meet you all too."

"Oh okay."

"I probably should go so that you can take a rest."

"Hmm actually I was wondering if you would like to go inside. I am not that tired. Thalia is not here so would you mind giving me a company for a while."

Sean smirked and she noticed it. "Gods what are you thinking?"

Sean laughs at her. "What? I am not thinking anything." He defended.

"You're such a pervert."

"I am not! Come on let's go inside before you changed your mind and send me home." He mused.

"So what shall we do?" He asked once they get inside. "How about we watched a movie?" She suggested. "Okay."

She put a random movie and they lay in the couch. Minutes later they were not paying attention anymore to the movie instead they are making out. Sean kisses her passionately as if it was the last time he'll ever have to kiss her. When they pull apart to breath, she rests her head on his chest and his arms encircled her.

Sean didn't pay much attention to the movie. He has lots of things in his mind right now. He's trying to convince himself to tell her the truth but he can't seem to find the courage since she's happy and he didn't want to ruin the night for her.

He was jerk back to reality when Annabeth spoke and realized the movie has already ended.

"I should probably go so that you can rest." He said. He stands up and she hugged him.

"Do you really need to?" She asked pouting.

"Hmm yeah?" He answered uncertainly.

"Why don't you stay for the night?" She suggested seductively tracing circles on his back which cause shivers on his body.

"Um.. uh.." He replied dumbly. He finds it hard to reply when his hot girlfriend is seducing her.

She chuckled and pulled back from him to look him to the eyes. "What do you think?" She offered.

Instead of answering he found himself kissing her. And the next thing they know they were inside her room pleasuring each other.

"I love you." Sean whispered to her.

"I love you too." She replied before she drifted to sleep.

Annabeth was already asleep but Sean was still awake. He turned to look at her who is lying on her side facing him. He stared at her memorizing her face. She's so beautiful. He caresses her face slowly so not to wake her up. She shifted in her sleep moving closer to him.

A tear rolled on his face unknowingly while he was staring at her. He hugs her closer. He wants to cherish every moment he has with her. He knows once they found out the truth about him it will be different. Worst will be she will hate him or they will hate him all.

Hours later he finally drifted to sleep after torturing himself. He woke up first and cook breakfast for her. After she was ready he drops her off to her office and drive home. On his way home Nico called him.

"Hey. What's up?" Sean asked.

"Just checking up on you."

"Gods Nico, I'm not running away again. I gave you my word and I'm not planning on breaking it."

"I'm just making sure. You can't blame me." Nico said. Sean just rolled his eyes even if he can't see him.

"So did you tell her already?"

Sean let out a deep sigh. "No."

"I thought we talk about it."

"I know. I'm working on it. Don't rush me okay. It's not that easy."

"I know but I am reminding you, you only have few days left."

"I know."

"Hey can you pick me up at the bus terminal?" Nico asked.

"When?"

"Tomorrow."

"I thought you said you're going to stay there till Friday?" Sean asked confusedly.

"I was planning on it but I changed my mind."

"Why? Did something happen?" Sean asked nervously.

"Someone saw me yesterday." Nico informed him. "Who?"

"Guys from the media, don't worry they didn't know about you yet."

"Oh okay." Sean sounded relieve.

"Hey um I was wondering if Hestia and Charles won't mind if I stay with you guys?" Nico asked.

"Of course they won't mind. I'll them don't worry."

"Okay then. I'll see you tomorrow. You take care okay?"

"I will. See you tomorrow."

Sean ended the call. Once he reached their house he told Hestia about Nico's request and sure is she agreed.

Silena drops her bags at the floor as she slumps her body on the couch. She just came back from Athens. She felt so exhausted. It's been a rough week for her with all the preparations for the incoming fashion week. She let out a defeated sigh and closed her eyes. Minutes later her phone started ringing which startled her. She resisted the urge to ignore her phone but realized that it must be Charles.

Lazily she stands up and picks up her bag from the floor. She rummages through her bag in search for it. Once she got hold of her phone she saw the caller and she's definitely right.

"Hello." She greeted.

"Hi beautiful." Charles said. Silena can't help but smile. She misses him and just hearing his voice brightens her mood.

"Hey stranger." She countered. She heard Charles chuckled.

"Everything okay? You sounded tired. Rough week?" He asked.

"You have no idea."

"Aww poor you, are you home already? You want me to come by at your house. I'm still on my way home I can drop by." He offered.

She snorted. "Yup, I just got home a couple of minutes ago. No I'm fine. I know you're tired too. Don't worry about me okay."

"Oh okay if you say so. Anyways I just called to remind you about tomorrow."

"Tomorrow?" She asked.

"Yeah, we'll be having lunch at our house remember?"

"Oh right. Sorry I forgot. Okay thanks for reminding me."

"Hey that's what I'm here for." He teased.

"Yeah, whatever." She rolled her eyes even if he doesn't see her.

He chuckled. "I'll see you tomorrow then. I miss you can't wait to see you."

Silena smiled. Even if her boyfriend looks so tough but when it comes to her he's just too sweet. "Yeah me too."

"I've got to go now. I love you." Charles said.

"I love you too. Drive safely."

"I will."

Once the call ended, she went to her room and got changed. She flops down on her bed. She was staring at the ceiling when she remembered tomorrow. She thinks for a second trying to remember what's the occasion tomorrow? She scrunched her eyebrows when she came up with nothing.

She rolled to her side and caught a glimpse of her phone. She smiled remembering the call from Charles. And then she remembers. They'll get together tomorrow so that Sean can introduce his cousin, Nico. Then she remembered when she saw him at Athens. Curiosity strikes her again.

She saw her laptop on her study table. Something is burning up inside her. She finds him mysterious. She can't shake the feeling that he is hiding something from them. Duh! She scolded herself. You don't know anything about him besides that he's Sean's cousin.

"Since when did I become so nosy?" She told to herself. Like always. Her inner self mocked.

Her eyes gazed on her laptop and before she knows it she stands up and grabs the laptop and turned it on and plops back to her bed. She opens the web server and type Nico's name. With her worst luck the internet is taking too long. Nice timing!

A couple of minutes later, it is not yet responding. Just great! She gave up and closed her laptop. She'll deal with it tomorrow. She placed it on her bedside table. Once her head hit the pillow she drifted off to sleep.
