Chapter 41

Silena's POV

I woke up from the rays of the sun coming through my window. I rub the sleep from my eyes and glanced at the clock. It was already 9 in the morning. I overslept now my head is aching. I groggily sat up throwing away the covers. I grab my phone from the table and saw 3 missed calls. I open it and it was from Charles.

I groaned. I must have slept too deep. I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth. As I was about to go out of my room I glanced at my laptop and then remembered that I was suppose to search something last night but ended up sleeping. I grab my laptop and phone and carried it out of my room. I went to the kitchen and place it on the table. I turned it on and left it for awhile to fix some breakfast.

I settled in for coffee and bread. I went back to the table and take a seat in front of my laptop. Once the web page opens up I typed Nico di Angelo. I was surprised by how many links that have pop up. I scroll down the page looking for an interesting link.

I decided to click the link on Wikipedia. I glanced at the photo at the right side of the page and I knew it was him. I started to read. To say that I was a bit shocked was understatement. Wow! Sean's cousin was not only popular but insanely rich. His family was ranked third from the list of the richest family in America. Wow just wow.

I read more and learned that he has two sisters. One name Bianca di Angelo and a step sister named Hazel Levesque. They didn't use the family name of their father instead they used their mother's. Interesting. He graduated from college and currently handling one of the businesses of their family and it was in the music industry. I scroll down from the page and nothing caught me interesting enough and closed it.

I click another link. Nothing interesting just some random news about his life and I found out he's a bachelor, with guys like him I wonder why. I have clicked a bunch of links and something caught my eye. There's a picture of him and a guy. I zoom it in and look closely. I was pretty sure that the guy he is with is Sean. I studied the picture he really looks like Sean but he was thinner and his hair is shorter. I almost choked on my coffee when I read the caption and it says Nico di Angelo and Percy Jackson.

Percy Jackson. I heard that name before. Oh gods, it was when I saw Nico on Athens. I remembered the guy asking him if they already found his cousin named Percy. That can't be possible. I saw different pictures of them together. This time I was sure that he looks exactly like Sean. I was now very confused. What's going on?

I decided to search Percy's name. There were so many links that pops up and so many images. I read a couple of them. Now I am very confused. He's a freaking superstar and same with his cousin his family is the 2nd richest in America. What is going on? How in the world his name is Percy Jackson and not Sean Angelo. Then it hit me. Angelo isn't that Nico's last name. Wait. Nope it is with di. Gods is he lying to us about his identity.

I was so engrossed reading different articles about him when my phone started ringing. I was so startled I almost drop my coffee.

I saw Charles calling me.

"He..Hello." I answered shakily.

"Hey. I called you this morning but you weren't answering."

"I am sorry I didn't hear it."

"It's okay. Where are you? The others are now here."

Oh shit! I glanced at the time and it was already 11 am.

"I am still at home. Sorry I lost track of time but I'll be there in an hour."

"I see. Okay so I'll see you in a bit."

I didn't reply. I was mentally debating with my inner self if I have to ask him if he knows something but I decided not to.

"Silena? Are you still there?"

"Oh gods I'm sorry. I was just looking at something."

"Is everything all right?"

"Of course, I'll be there in an hour. I have to go now."

I ended the call not even waiting for his reply. There are lots of things in my mind right now. If Sean is Percy then he's been lying to all of us for the start. But if he's lying how come Hestia declared him as his son and how about Charles?

According to Percy's biography his mom is named Sally Jackson. Is it possible that this Percy is another cousin of Nico? But they look so much alike. Can they possibly twins? I think I'm going to get a headache.

I cleared my mind for a minute trying to think straight. I weigh all the possibility. If I remembered right we really don't know much about Sean. We only knew that he grew up in New York and he left his dad to look for her mom. There are other things that we know about him but not so much about his family.

Looking back at it, we just trusted the words of Hestia and Charles. What if they knew about him and they were just hiding it from us? But if so why? What do they get from it?

Is it possible that Charles lied to her? No. He's not like that. He doesn't lie to us especially not to me. I push aside the thought that my Charles lied to all of us too. I knew him that well and I refuse to believe that he can do such things to us.

But what if he does? What if they lied to all of us? Can I accept it if that's the truth? I groaned and buried my face in my hands. I regret snooping around it's giving me a headache.

I glanced at the clock. I needed to get ready and leave. One look at the information and I decided to print out the important details. I need to confront them. I need to know the truth.

I silently cursed when I remembered Annabeth. What if she knew? And what if she doesn't? This is going to be hard. If it was all a lie she will be the one who will be hurt most. I felt a pang in my heart just thinking about it.

The group decided to go to the beach while waiting for Silena. Travis, Katie, Clarisse, Chris, Leo, Reyna, Thalia and Connor are playing beach volleyball while Charles, Sean and Annabeth are just sitting in the sand watching the others play.

"Sean!" Nico called. He's still having a hard time calling Percy as Sean.

Sean looks over his shoulder. "Can I talk for you for a minute?" Nico asked.

Sean nodded. He kissed Annabeth on her cheek and sat up. Nico noticed Charles looking at him. He smiled weakly at him. They both know that Sean is going to tell the others about him today and they are both worried for him.

Nico and Sean made their way back to the house. Minutes later Silena arrived. She parks her car besides Thalia's car. She noticed the group near the beach. She felt anxious on what she was about to do or what she is about to reveal. She stayed in her car for a bit debating whether to do it or not.

She closed her eyes for a minute trying to regain her composure. When she did, she grabs the papers and went near the beach. She needed to talk to Charles and Annabeth first. She noticed them sitting in the sand. She walks towards them and stops when she was sure that they can hear her.

"Annabeth! Charles!"

Both of them look over their shoulder. She saw them smile at her. The others wave to her when they saw her. She wave back. She motioned the two to follow her. When she saw them getting up, she turns back to the house not waiting for them.

She waited the two at the veranda. Charles envelops her in a hug and pecks her on the lips once the two reach her. Annabeth hugs her too.

"Hey are you okay?" Charles asked when she noticed that her girlfriend has a serious look on her face.

She shook her head. "I don't know really what to feel." She started. "Here read these."

She handed the papers to Charles and Annabeth. Silena studied their reaction. Annabeth has a confused look on her face. Charles' reaction was the one she was afraid of.

Charles' eyes widens as he reads what was written on the paper. "Where did you get this?" He asked nervously.

So he knew. That was Silena's thought when she heard him. She doesn't know how to react. He lied to me. He lied to all of us.

"What is the meaning of this Silena? These are pictures of Nico and.. " Annabeth trailed off. "Percy?" She asked. "Who's Percy? These are pictures of Sean."

"That's my question too Annabeth, why don't you enlighten us Charles?" Silena hissed. "Who's Percy Jackson? What is his connection to Nico and Sean?"

"Silena.." Charles said nervously. He can sense the anger from his girlfriend's voice. He started to sweat. He didn't want them finding out the truth like this.

"Charles, what's going on?" Annabeth pleaded. She can sense the tension. Her mind is thinking of the many possibilities but she's afraid to acknowledge it.

"Look I.." Charles started but they were cut off from the argument that was happening inside the house.

They heard Nico and Sean arguing inside. Silena started to walk inside the house. Charles quickly pulled her hand to stop her but she pushes it away. A confused Annabeth followed her. Charles didn't know what to do. What was he suppose to do now.

Nico and Sean are arguing in the kitchen.

"We've talked about this. You promise you'll do it today!" Nico snarled.

"I know what I said Nico. And I can't do it. I am so sorry but I can't!"

"Are you serious? Stop running from the truth Percy! Grow up and face them."

"I can't. I won't do it!"

"Percy! Come back here we are not done talking!"

Percy walks out from the kitchen and head towards the living. He stops in his tracks when he saw Silena, Charles and oh my gods Annabeth.

"Percy!" Nico yelled following his cousin. He too stops in his tracks when he saw them.

"Annabeth." Percy called weakly walking slowly towards her.

He saw the look in her eyes. It shows betrayal, hurt, anger and pain. "I can explain." Percy started.

"So all that was written here is true? Your real name is Percy Jackson. You lied to all of us! You lied to me!" Annabeth shouted. "You lied to Hestia and Charles."

"No he didn't!" Silena butted in. "Charles know the truth about him. They lied to us." Silena said with pure hurt in her voice.

"I just can't believe that you'll do it to us." SIlena said accusingly to Charles.

"What?" Annabeth asked confused. She looks to Charles and he confirmed Silena's accusation by not meeting her in the eyes.

"Oh my gods!" Annabeth exclaimed. "Why?" She asked as tears started to flow from her eyes.

"Annabeth.. Please let me explain." Percy pleaded.

Annabeth turns her back and head towards the door. Percy runs after her. He caught her in the arm.

"Annabeth. Please."

She faces him and slaps him hard on the face. Percy was taken aback from what she did.

"Woah guys what's going on?" Leo asked.

Percy noticed that the rest of the group was all in the veranda and just witnessed the slapping part.

"Annabeth." Thalia called. "What's going on? What did he do this time?" She demanded.

Instead of answering Annabeth roughly handed the papers that she was holding. "It turns out that he's been lying to us from the start. He's not who he said to us."

Percy was too stunned to react. He just watches as his friend reads the papers. He's not getting away from this anymore.

Silena went out from the house, Charles following her. "Silena. Please listen to us. There's a reason behind this all." He tried to explain.

Silena shook her head. "There's nothing to talk about Charles. You lied to all of us. You betrayed us from making us believe that he is your real brother. You let him fool us."

"Silena. Charles has nothing to do with it. This is my entire fault." Percy chimed in.

"Your real name is Percy Jackson?" Travis asked. "Dude what's going on? Why do you have to lie to us?"

"So all of it is true?" Leo gesturing to the paper.

There's nothing left for Percy to do than to admit it. "Yes. My real name is Percy Jackson. But hear me out please." He pleaded.

Annabeth started to walk towards the car. "Thalia! Let's go!" She demanded. Thalia glanced back to Percy. She didn't say anything but her looks says otherwise. Before she turns her back she caught sight of Nico. They caught each other eyes. Thalia broke her gaze and followed Annabeth.

Percy was about to follow but Silena stops her. "No. You've done enough." And then she walks off without even throwing a glance at Charles.

Percy can all see the look of betrayal among the rest of the group. Katie grabs Travis hands and she drags him towards the car. "Connor!" She yelled when she noticed that he's not following. Connor looks at Percy and just shook his head.

Clarisse did the same to his boyfriend. Reyna grabs Leo's hand. "Let's go." She demanded.

Leo looks at Percy. "Not cool man." He said with hurt in his voice. "Why did you have to lie to us?"

"Leo let's go!" Reyna drags him away from Percy.

Percy just watched as their friend's car drove away from their house. Feeling so defeated he sits down on the chair. He buried his face in his hands and started to cry. He knows something like this might happen but yet it's still hurts so much.

"Percy." Charles called. He sits down next to him and put his arm around his shoulder.

Percy hugs him trying to find strength from him. "I am so sorry." He mumbled between the sobs.

"It's okay." Charles comforted although he himself was broken knowing that Silena hate him from lying to them. He's not even sure if they will still be together after this.

"Percy, I am sorry. It's my fault they found out like this." Nico apologized sitting beside him.

Percy shook his head. "No. I should have told them sooner. Sorry for dragging you all into my mess."

"What's going on?" Hestia asked as she arrived. "Where are the others?"

Then she noticed that Percy is crying. Instantly she knows what happened. "Oh honey." She said to him.

Percy stands up and hugs Hestia. "They all hate me mom."

"Shh it's going to be okay just give them some time." She said comforting him.

"No they hate me. Annabeth hates me. I don't know what to do anymore." He sobs.

Hestia felt her heart broke seeing Percy's condition. She knows how much Percy loves Annabeth.

"Come on let's get you inside and we'll talk about it." She suggested.

Percy let Hestia guide him back inside the house. Nico and Charles just watched as the two entered the house. After a while Nico followed in. Charles stayed outside trying to come up with a solution. He knows that saying sorry won't do any good.

The hurt look on Silena's face keeps flashing back in his mind. He knows they all felt betrayed especially by him. They were his friends since God knows how long. He knows there's nothing he can do right now. He needs to let them to cool off before he tries to talk to them. The best thing he can do now is to be strong for Percy. He's like his little brother. They maybe not be related by blood but he accepted him as his own sibling. He composed himself trying to be strong and followed them inside the house.
