Jace POV

The figure before us was facing towards Sebastian so we couldn't see its face. Sebastian had a wicked smirk plastered on his face so I spoke up and said, "who are you."

The figure stayed still and Sebastian turned his gaze back to us. Sebastian put his hand on the figures shoulder. His smirk was still there when he said, "this is your worst nightmare."

Sebastian was turning away to leave so I advanced on him, but the shadowy figure turned around so fast and stepped in front of Sebastian with its sword drawn. I drew mine and stopped the sword from hitting me just inches away from my throat. I glanced from the sword to my opponent and saw that the figure was a girl. She had dark brown hair and pitch black eyes. She didn't speak, but the look she gave me told me to not make a move towards Sebastian.

Sebastian had turned back around and said, "I wouldn't upset her if I were you. She will end you before you even have a chance to move two steps."

I looked back at the girl and she lowered her sword and backed up towards Sebastian never taking her eyes off me. Now Alec, Izy, Magnus, and Elijah were entering the room and taking in the scene. Alec, Izy, and Magnus all looked shock to see that there were two Sebastian's. They all came running over to us eyeing me carefully since I was still focusing on the girl.

"Nice of you all to join" Sebastian said grinning at the rest of the group and putting a hand on the girls shoulder. "Let me properly introduce this young lady right here." He pulled down her hood and was now placing both hands on her shoulder standing behind her. "This is my dea oscura. Not only is she lovely she is very deadly."

Clary shook her head and said, "dea oscura?"

I interrupted whatever Sebastian was about to say and said, "it's Italian. It means dark goddess."

"Correct brother" said Sebastian.

"I'm not you brother. Who is she really? A warlock? A demon?"

He laughed and said, "No. She is a shadow hunter." He looked from us to her and whispered in her ear. She drew up her sword and in came more demons bursting through the windows.

Johnathan POV

I woke up to find everyone fighting off demons, except Jace was battling another shadow hunter in a full black cloak. I looked over to see Sebastian walking over towards me and yanking me up to my feet. He slammed me against the wall and said, "how the hell did you manage to escape Edom?"

His hand was around my throat and I was still groggy from just waking up, but I managed to say, "wouldn't you like to know."

He obviously didn't like my comment cause he threw me across the room and I slammed into one of the tables and it shattered. He walked over to me and struck a blade into my arm. He was about to speak when a flash of red swooped in and tackled him to the ground. It was Clary. She rose to her feet and stood protectively in front of me, looked at Sebastian and said, "stay away from my brother."

Sebastian laughed at her, "he is just as much your brother as I am."

"No. Your not my brother Sebastian. Your a demon. Johnathan is my brother."

He looked pissed and began to advance on her but then stopped and smiled. He looked at me as I laid in the pile of glass and was bleeding excessively from my arm and then turned his gaze to Clary then finally to the scene taking place. Demons were falling left and right but the hooded girl was fighting well and holding her ground.

"Have fun taking care of her." Was all Sebastian said before turning away and vanishing out of the room. Clary looked like she wanted to chase him, but thought better of it. She turned around and rushed to my side.

"Johnathan are you okay?"

I looked up at her and said, "I'll live - wow - it's weird saying that." She laughed and helped me to my feet. All the demons were dead now and all that remained was the hooded girl.

Jace POV

We managed to kill off all the demons, but the girl was still here and putting up a fight. She was tough for someone her age and well trained. I was fighting her and was about to loose till Alec and Izy came over and helped me. We managed to restrain her and bind her so she couldn't escape. I looked up to see Clary helping Johnathan over to us.

"What the hell do you think your doing Clary" I all but screamed at her.

She looked up at me and said, "This is Johnathan, Jace, not Sebastian. This is my brother."

Alec stepped forward with Magnus and grabbed Johnathan from Clary and restrained him as well. She was about to speak when Magnus put his hand up and said, "just until we figured out what is going on and what his motives are."

She was about to protest till Johnathan said, "No sister stop. I don't blame you all for not trusting me. I'll do whatever I have to do to prove I'm not siding with Sebastian."

Izy and I were holding onto the girl when she laughed at Johnathan's comment. He looked at her and she finally spoke, "Your pathetic. Sebastian should have finished you when he had the chance."

Her voice was laced with pure hatred and her eyes were shooting daggers at him. Johnathan laughed and said, "you really care about him? He left you here so he could get away. He doesn't care about you!"

She was not struggling to get out of our grasps and was yelling at Johnathan when I looked at Magnus to do something. "You really think you know everything don't you? Well guess what Johnny boy, the minute I get out of here, I'm coming for you! And I will cause a fate much worse than death for you. Your worst nightmare will -" she didn't get to finish because Magnus knocked her out with some spell he did. She went slack in my arms and I lifted her up and carried her out the building.

Clary POV

I was now standing in the jail room that we had located in the basement on the institute. We had tied the girl onto a chair in the middle of the room. She was still passed out from whatever spell Magnus used on her.

The door opened and in walked Jace and Alec. I looked up at Alec and asked, "is Magnus doing okay?"

He nodded his head and said, "yeah but our trip is cancelled. Seeing as a insane demon Sebastian is on the loose and we have his partner in crime right here."

Jace laughed and walked to the glass. It was a one way glass. We can see her but she can't see us.

"When do you think she is going to wake up?" Jace asked not taking his eyes off her.

"Magnus said it wouldn't last much longer." Alec spoke to Jace.

"Speaking of the devil." Jace said turning his attention to Magnus standing in the doorway.

"I heard my name. Thought I would stop by and see the patient." Magnus said and walked over to where Jace was and looked at the girl. "She is young isn't she."

"Yes" I said walking forward.

I studied the girl when I noticed something familiar. I walked over to the door and went into the room with Jace and Alec protesting against it.

"Relax she still asleep." I said and walked up to her with Magnus following behind me. I stopped just in front of her and looked more closely at her shoulder. There was an unusual mark there. I lifted my hand up to her shirt and pulled the cloth aside to get a better view. I took in a small gasp and Magnus looked over to see what I was staring at.

He looked puzzled and said, "is that the rune that Jace and Seb -"

I interrupted him and said, "yes."

"Sebastian is controlling her?"

I nodded. "Looks like it." I grabbed her hand to find a scar there from it being cut. "He's controlling her just how he controlled Jace."

Jace and Alec were standing in the room listening to what was unfolding.

"We need to get ahold of the iron sisters. Tell Izy and Jessica to go get a sword filled with heavenly fire." I said.

Jace was about to respond when I heard someone say, "I wouldn't do that if I were you."

I turned to see the girl had woken up. I looked at her and said, "and why is that?"

"You can find out for yourselves" she said with an evil grin plastering her face.

"What are you talking about?" Magnus asked her.

"Why don't you ask your precious Isabell" she said.

Just then Izy bust into the room and said, "the Iron sisters have been attacked. The whole building is burned down."

The girl started laughing and said, "Have fun trying to get ahold of your Heavenly Fire now."

Jace came up and grabbed the girl around the collar and yanked her up with the chair. He yelled, "what the Hell is Sebastian doing? Why are you doing this?"

She didn't flinch or say a word. She just sat there, with Jace practically strangling her, laughing. This of course pissed Jace off and he threw her to the ground. Magnus rushed over to her and helped her up. "What the Hell Jace?"

Jace didn't say anything and stormed out of the room. Izy turned to us and said, "Alec, Jace, myself, and everyone else will handle this. You and Magnus stay with her and get answers." She rushed out of the room slamming the door behind her.

I turned back to the girl to see Magnus taking blood from her. "What are you doing Magnus?"

"I'm testing her blood." He made some concoction appear and began to test her blood. She looked at him quizzically and turned to looked at me.

"What is he testing my blood for?"

I shrugged and said, "Who knows. Now mind telling me who you are."

"You and I both know that's not going to happen."

"Well then wana tell me what Sebastian is up to?"

She laughed, "you already know the answer to that. He wants to kill you all and I don't blame him."

"What do you mean?"

"The fact that you betrayed your own brother. Stole everything from him. Didn't love him. I would want to kill you too."

I was going to answer when Magnus interrupted and said, "don't listen to her biscuit. Anyways I have a more interesting question for poppet here."

She looked at him and said, "really? Poppet?"

"Yes really."

"Whatever, what's your not so important interesting question" She asked.

Magnus grew serious and asked, "why does your blood have an exceedingly amount of pure angel blood?"

She looked at him as if he was insane and said, "I don't know what you talking about."

I spoke and said, "what do you mean her blood has an exceeding amount of angel blood? She is a shadow hunter. She is suppose to have angel blood."

He looked at me and said, "I tested her blood and it's almost entirely pure angel blood. More than you and Jace. However she has a hint of demonic blood. I'm guessing that's Sebastian's doing."

The girl looked really confused and asked, "what do you mean?"

I looked over at Magnus and he's said, "well that mark on your shoulder is a controlling type rune. It lets the person who put it there have full control over you. And the cut on your hand is the bonding between you two. Sebastian I'm guessing put it there."

"I don't see why we just don't kill her and kill Sebastian in the process" I turned to the door where the voice came from. I saw Simon standing there with Luke.

"That won't work" the girl said and rolled her eyes.

I looked back at her and said, "Not that killing you is part of the answer, but why wouldn't it work?"

"You won't kill Sebastian, you will kill me and just sever the bond. Same vise versa. Look at my rune better. Looks the same but slightly different then the one Jace had right? So kill me. The only thing this rune does is let us have each others strengths, power, control."

"So Sebastian isn't controlling you?" Magnus asked her.

"Yes and no."

"By the Angel I swear we are not going to get anything useful out of her" Magnus said throwing his hands up in the air and walking out of the room. I followed shortly after just staring at the girl in silence. I need to find Jace and the others.

Jace POV

I was now standing around a table in the weapons room talking with some of the iron sister who were taking refuge in the institute. One of the sisters named Rosaleen was speaking about the attack, "I don't understand how they go through our gates. Sebastian has demon blood so how was he able to burn the place down?"

Another sister spoke up and said, "He could be trying to make dark shadowhunters again. Maybe that's how he had gotten through."

I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around to see Clary. She looked at me then the sisters and said, "I can't believe this is happening again."

I turned around and hugged her. I leaned down and whispered in her ear, "we will figure it out, we always do."

"She wouldn't talk about Sebastian or his plans. Magnus got frustrated and left so I joined him. There some guards outside her door. I think I'm gonna go talk to Johnathan. I won't go alone. Izy will be with me."

I wanted to protest but instead I just shook my head and said, "alright."

She turned to leave with Izy hot on her heel. I decided that since I've cooled down a bit I will go talk to the girl again. I walked over to Magnus and Alec and said, "I'm going back down to talk to the girl."

"I'll come with you" Magnus said.

Alec looked at us and said, "I'm staying up here to figure out more with the iron sisters."

Magnus pecked him on the cheek and said, "we will be back soon Alexzander."

With that being said we left and made our way down to the cells.
