Hello, internet.
It's been years. Literally. And yet to this day, I get messages and reviews on this series, either with people loving or hating it or begrudgingly accepting it. I thought for sure that almost a decade later, this little project would be buried in the sands of time. Apparently not. To be honest, part of me is touched that I left such a weird legacy in my late adolescence. But I think it is time – ladies, gentlemen and others, I unfortunately do not have the free time (or the will) to finish Breaking Dark Dawn properly. So, here is how this story ends:
Rose Cullen is born. As a vampire baby, she ages slowly, and needs serious help controlling her monstrous instincts. We skip ahead thirty years, and Rose is barely four. Bella, having adjusted to her new life, keeps away from the human world, and finds happiness after her tragedy in her new family and life partner, Edward. However, on the eve of Rose's fourth birthday, they get a message. It's an invitation, demanding the Cullens are present for a Volturi gala, so that Alec may see his daughter.
Bella, of course, refuses to go, but Carlisle knows that there is no refusal here. They board a ship and sail out to Italy. All the while, Bella's anger and frustration boils as she is forced to relive that terrible day every second they sail. She starts to remove herself from the Cullens, even her daughter, consumed with anger.
They arrive in Italy and are immediately escorted to their lodgings for their trip. They're showered with luxuries and comforts, including young women to feed on sent directly to their door. The Cullens, of course, refuse, which snubs the "good nature" of the Volturi.
The night of the gala arrives. Bella and her family dress to impress, and Bella does what she can to distract herself and avoid Alec at all costs. But of course, Alec eventually corners her, and dotes on his daughter. Bella is furious, and if Edward had not gotten between them, she might have taken off his head right then and there.
Bella loves Rose, of course. Despite her origins, Bella has done all she could to be a proper mother, with Edward's help. But now, faced with this insult to injury, Bella has had enough. The night of the gala, she says goodbye to Edward and Rose, and vanishes.
She is on the war path to get her justice.
She tracks Alec down in the center of Rome, and fueled with rage and injustice, decapitates him and feasts on his blood – for all humans to see. Now, this makes her a wanted criminal.
She spends the next decade slipping in and out of the shadows. She travels all over the world, keeping out of sight and forever watching her back. She tries to stay to the Cullen way, but eating animals only fills so much. Eventually, Bella breaks her vow of morality and feeds off of humans – only the worst, of course. Rapists, murderers, anyone Bella deems unworthy of life.
But finally, she's found. Not by the Volturi, or by Edward, but by Alice. They have a moment of understanding, but it's cut short by Volturi agents, who spring on Bella and take her into custody. For her crimes, she is tried (unfairly), and sentenced to death. On the day of her execution, she sees her family one last time. She tells them how much she loves them, and how much their times together have meant to her. As she lays her head down on the chopping block, she notices the night sky. Her final thoughts were just how beautiful the stars looked that night.
Decades later, Rose is older now, and can understand her mother's death. She and Edward (her real father) live in remembrance of Bella, and all that she suffered. Rose, Edward notices, looks just like the love of his life. And so, he devotes his existence to protecting Rose for as long as either of them live.
So there you have it. This was the ending I had planned for years and years, but things change when you graduate high school. Life got busier and busier, and pretty soon, I could only focus on the important things. I write real books now, and I'm on track to get a screenwriting bachelors degree. Yo girl is making some real traction in the world, and I have fanfiction to thank for it.
I've been writing since I was fourteen years old. Fanfiction, to me, was a gateway to what I love to do, and now hope to do for a living. And part of that was in due part to you. You, reading this, gave me endless encouragement and valuable pointers to help me shape my most valuable skill to date.
Thank you for your endless support.
Love,
Tprinces
Goodnight.
