The long walk to the hospital was a cold and dark experience out in the empty streets of Mitakihara. Scarf wrapped tightly around his neck, Mamoru was freezing from the cold as he rubbed his hands together under the dim streetlights, casting a shadow on the concrete, "I'm almost there," he murmured as soon as he noticed the gates to the hospital a few meters away, standing tall along a wall of bricks. It had been half an hour since the train had arrived. and when it did, Mamoru had ran here as fast as he could. It left him exhausted, but he was determined to get to the hospital quickly.

Entering the large courtyard of the hospital, the cold wind picked up his green hair and Mamoru ignored the shiver that coursed through his body. He had no time to be distracted. After he had sent a few unresponsive text messages and calls to Hideki, Mamoru began to worry about the events he had missed. He had called up Narita earlier and the school nurse briefed him on the situation thoroughly about everything. Tateyama's heart attack and Takuya's car accident, it had gave him more reason to not stall on his way here.

Legs tired, Mamoru forced them to walk until he had reached the hospital's large, glass doors before taking a minute to catch his breath, "Where... Where is he?" he looked through the misty glass doors before they subsequently opened. Hideki stood in front of him and Mamoru looked at him with worried eyes, "The others," he panted between words, "Where are they?"

Hideki frowned letting him in, "The nurse told me they're fine, but they're still recovering. Come on, Mamoru followed Hideki into the dark lobby and sat down on a chair as Hideki continued, rubbing his bandaged arms, "They said it wasn't that bad as we all thought, but..." he grimaced, pursing his lips, "The nurse said that Tateyama and Takuya would maybe have to stay here for a week or more to recover. They were lucky to be alive."

Mamoru's eyes noticed Hideki's bandaged hands and how he flinched in pain as he moved. He noticed the bandages and wraps around his body that looked as if they were just placed on, "And you? What happened to your hands?"

"Oh, this? I'm fine," Hideki shrugged, opening and closing a sore hand wrapped in bandages, "I got into trouble, but it's nothing I'm not used to in school."

Mamoru looked at him suspiciously before he just gave up on interrogating him. Resting back on the soft chairs, Mamoru thanked whoever up there as the relief washed all over him like cold water. Mamoru looked around and noticed the lack of security guards. Having been here a few times, it was odd that there was no one in sight this time.

"What were you doing in Kazamino, anyway?" Hideki suddenly asked and Mamoru leaned forward in his seat.

Clasping his hands, he blew a warm breath into them and then coiled his fingers around each other for warmth, explaining quietly, "This morning, I had received a call from the Kazamino Public Hospital that my father had... suffered from a stroke," Mamoru's expression darkened, a shadow crossing his face, "He's fine; it was not fatal. But, I apologize for my leaving so suddenly. I just-"

"You were worried about your dad. It's fine, I understand," Hideki's features hardened and Mamoru turned away. Knowing that Hideki never saw eye-to-eye with his father, Mamoru felt something about being in the opposite situation with his own father.

Uncomfortable with momentary silence, Mamoru tried changing the subject, "What happened while I was gone? To think that something like this would happen is rather... unexpected."

Hideki rubbed his bandaged left arm and shifted in his seat a bit, "I don't know about what happened to Takuya. But this morning, I... I got a letter from Takamatsu that he'd give me another shot at joining the team."

"And then?" Mamoru raised a brow and Hideki gave a self-depreciating chuckle that made him him uncomfortable.

"Turns out it was from Takehito. He said that if I beat him in a rematch, Tateyama and I would get into the team. I still accepted it - I don't know why, and now I ended up like this," he opened both of his bandaged hands and winced as he tightened them into fists, "Then Tateyama came to help and... this happened."

Mamoru clenched his scarf tight and looked as the lights above Hideki's head flickered non-stop. Another awkward silence was held between them, and only when the blue-haired boy looked up from his hands, was when he spoke again in a hushed tone, "You think we should go and see them...? We're not allowed to, but since nobody is around..."

Mamoru looked at the empty counter and back to Hideki. Standing up from his chair, he ignored the pain arising in his sore legs, "We should see them," he stated clearly in a melancholic tone, "It's what we should do in a time like this, instead of just waiting here and doing nothing but being worried."

Hideki pointed to a flight of stairs around the corner, and the two climbed up the flight of stairs, their steps echoing in the dark, "From what I heard, their room is this way. Homura is here, too. But she's in a different room, and I think we should leave her to rest for a while. It would be better if we see her after we talk to Tateyama and Takuya, don't you think?" his question got a simple nod from Mamoru, who followed him from behind.

Leading up to a door along the long corridor, Hideki and Mamoru stood outside the room where their two friends were in. Hideki's hand paused for a few seconds before it tightly gripped the doorknob and quietly opened the door. The quickly went in as to not cause any unnecessary noise, since the hospital was in dead, utter silence, save for the sounds of their footsteps and the door closing behind them.

The beeping noise of two heart monitors and the ticking of a clock rung in the stale air. Lying down on a bed, Tateyama's eyes were shut closed, an oxygen mask placed on his mouth while he calmly rested under the blanket in a set of white hospital clothes. He seemed to be in peace as the side of his face was still covered with his long, silver bangs. Takuya was on a neighboring bed with an oxygen mask as well, but his right arm and leg were wrapped up in bloody bandages, with the latter being suspended in the air by a hoist. There was a smear of blood on his cheek, his messy, brown hair was strewn about on his pillow, but everything else seemed fine to them.

"Are they awake?" Hideki whispered, sitting down on a chair beside Tateyama, the moonlight falling on him through a glass window.

Mamoru stood beside Takuya with his hand on the bed railing. Lifting a hand, he brushed a finger on Takuya's cheek to wipe off the smear of blood on his cheek, the brunette barely reacting to his touch. The boy looked so peaceful like this, but to see him in this condition, along with his father's earlier stroke, created a tight feeling in Mamoru's chest; this was practically the worst day of his life, having seen three people who cared for all hospitalized in one day, "Hideki, where is Homura's room?" he asked out of the blue.

"Just a few rooms ahead of here," Hideki replied, leaning on Tateyama's bed-railing with arms crossed and his eyes gazing out the window, "Why, you think we should visit her first?"

Mamoru looked hesitantly at the door to the room and back to his two friends lying down on the hospital beds. He wanted to speak with them now, help three of his closest friends at their worst, but since he could not, they had to do something else. Before gesturing to Hideki that they were leaving, Mamoru took off his black and green scarf and wrapped it around Takuya's neck, a sad smile on his face as he stepped towards the door with Hideki following suit. Mamoru grabbed the knob to open it, but when they heard a groan from behind, the two looked back in shock at the sight of Tateyama struggling to sit up, his hands grasping the bed railings.

"H-Hideki?" Tateyama muttered through his oxygen mask, slowly taking off the transparent piece of plastic with one hand and the other gripping the side of his bed, "Wh-Where are we...?" Tateyama flinched and Hideki quickly went up to him to gently lay his head back on the pillow. Rolling his head to look at Hideki, the blue-haired boy sighed in relief and sat down beside him.

"I'm glad you're all right," Hideki muttered with a small smile. A hand on the bed railings, he ran a hand through his hair and explained to his friend in the quickest way possible, "You're in a hospital; an ambulance brought us here this afternoon."

Tateyama's eye scanned the room and his surroundings. The last thing he had remembered was feeling a tight, crushing sensation in his chest and a shortness of breath before blacking out completely. Tateyama didn't seem to believe him until he saw Takuya to his left and the beeping heart monitor to his right, only then did he truly believe that he was in a hospital. Tateyama looked back to Hideki and sorrowfully asked, "I passed out...?" Hideki slowly nodded and Tateyama sighed quietly, "I made another mistake..."

"It's alright," Hideki comforted him as best as he could, "We're here for you guys. That's what friends are for, right?"

Suddenly, Mamoru saw Takuya's fingers beginning to twitch and the heart rate monitor rising a bit. He came over to the boy's bedside and when Mamoru saw his friend slowly awakening, his movements stopped as his green eyes stared into his friend's, "Takuya...?" he whispered, a worried frown on his face as the brunette forced a weak smile and chuckled weakly in response.

"Hey, Mamoru," he coughed between his words, seemingly unaware of where he was and what was the state of his body. Looking at the worried expressions the three of his friends gave him, Takuya looked like he was still pulling himself together in his mind. It must have been a side-effect of the anesthetic the doctors had given him, "What's... What's going on...?"

Mamoru held onto the boy's hand and grasped it firmly, siting beside him on a chair he pulled up to sit on, "You got into an accident outside Tomura's school. You're injuries are... severe. But Hideki tells me you will heal up in a few weeks," Mamoru turned to Hideki and looked at him with an expression practically asked him for a 'Yes'.

"Yeah, you'll be fine," Hideki promised, "Both of you."

Takuya smiled and rolled his head over to one side, muttering, "Tomura..."

"Is there something wrong?" Mamoru piqued, thinking he had heard something as Takuya slowly shook his head. Still feeling light-headed, all of his responses were slow as the anesthetic slowly wore off.

"No. I'm fine... Just thinking about Tomura for a bit."

Time passed slowly inside the room for the boys as the clock on the wall ticked away continuously. It was like the boys were in their own world as they talked to each other in the cold, dark room, unaware of the thundering noises of gunfire outside the hospital. For Hideki, this was a moment that lifted his spirits, as no matter how long they've been together, he had never forgotten that this was the place they all had met as one group. Remembering that time fondly, it never failed to bring a smile to his face whenever he thought of it.

In the dark hallway, Hideki and Mamoru had brought Takuya and Tateyama out into the corridor, pushing the wheelchairs they sat on. Their wheels creaked as they walked until they were at small balcony that was at the end of the floor's corridor; this was were some people would go to watch the skies, talk, or even make wishes upon shooting stars. The night sky free of clouds, all of theirs eyes looked up at the quiet starry sky, gazing at the millions of shining, bright stars laid out across a sheet of black. It was something that one rarely got to see in the city, if not never at all.

Hideki leaned forward with his elbows on the railing, as Mamoru stood behind Tateyama and Takuya with his hands behind his back, "It's beautiful, isn't it?" Mamoru said with a smile, the cold wind blowing on their faces.

"Sure is," Takuya replied as he held Mamoru's scarf around his neck and tightened it.

Tateyama quietly nodded and Hideki grinned as they continued to stare up at the breath-taking view above them. Nothing could ruin this moment; it was too perfect, being alone with all of his friends here. But, despite this, there was still one more person missing. Leaving the railing, Hidkei stepped under the frame of the balcony entrance and from there, he could see Homura's room that was just 5-6 doors away. Worried about her state of health, Hideki wanted to make sure she was alright and see if she too could share this moment with them

"You think we should see her?"

"Who?" Takuya piqued, looking back at Hideki who continued to stare distantly into the hallway.

"Homura. She's here, too. Her room's right there," Hideki pointed at the door with the 'No. 57' plastered on it as Mamoru walked to his side and placed a hand on his shoulder, holding him tight with a proud smirk.

"Since we're all here, why don't we?" Mamoru agreed, sounding sincere, "After all, she is a part of us now, isn't she? We wouldn't want her to be left out of this."

"She's done a lot for us," Tateyama added, his hand clutching the left side of his face, "It's only right if she's here."

Takuya and Hideki shared a smile, agreeing with him wholeheartedly. Hideki looked back at the door to Homura's room and stared at it for what seemed like ages. Homura was someone he never expected to be friends with; amnesia-affected or not. No matter how he looked at it, becoming friends with her almost sounded impossible, even if she had been assigned to watch over them before. They had taken the offer to take care of Homura to help her and take responsibility for her memory lost, but it seemed like in the past few days, Homura was the one taking care of them. She had done a lot to help them, so to him, this would be a good way of saying 'Thank you' to her.

"Alright, let's go see her," with that said, Hideki stepped inside and towards Homura's room. But then, he felt something brush against his foot, the hair on the back of his neck stood up straight like sharp needles, and when Hideki took another step inside, he stopped in his tracks whe the walls of hospital started 'moving'. As in, like the surface of ice beginning to evaporate away, the walls were fading into a mist as the hallway grew darker and darker. Hideki rubbed his eyes and shook his head, thinking that he was delusional.

Mamoru, Takuya and Tateyama followed him in and the green-haired boy noticed Hideki just standing still, "Hideki? Is there something wrong?" clapping him on the shoulder, the boys then gasped as the hospital around them - the hospital they were in - vanished, leaving them surrounded in a incomprehensible, morphing plane of existence. This was no dream - no, it was like a nightmare. The corridor vanished, as if reality had melted away, and they boys were now in with a dark, damp tunnel with a train track running between them. The tunnels walls and ceilings oozed a black substance similar to black ink and the distant sounds of moaning slowly began to frighten the boys.

Mamoru looked at his feet and saw that his shadow was completely absent, "W-What the bloody Hell is going on...?" Mamoru uttered with wide eyes. He looked around them the silence allowed him to hear his heart beating faster and faster in his chest, "I don't... where are...?"

Tateyama rubbed his eyes and looked around again. Despite being the calmest in the group, he was slowly beginning to panic like everyone else as he wiped the sweat off his appearing on his forehead, his palms feeling just as sweaty. Hideki just stood there, speechless, his legs shaking as Takuya clenched his mouth and clasped his shaking hands together.

But when they heard an unsettling cracking noise akin to the sounds of bones breaking, they all felt a chill run down their spines. It started to become louder and louder, sounding the most closest to Hideki. His trembling legs still able to move, Hideki's first action was to obviously step away from it. And when the boy tried to distance himself from the noise, a shadowy hand suddenly burst from the ground and grabbed onto his leg with shocking strength. Its fingers dug into his skin and made Hideki fall to the ground as he screamed in terror, blood gushing from his wounds.

"Hideki!" Mamoru ran to his aid, but more hands popped out from the ground around them. Humanoid creatures - whatever they were - they began coming out of the ground while dripping thick, black ooze from their forms that could barely be described. They had no consistent shape or form, almost like living shadows. In their hands, they wielded chipped pickaxes dripping with fresh blood and what terrified the boys the most, was the complete absence of any eyes, mouth or nose on their faces.

The sounds they made made their blood curl inside their veins, as the closest one to the anchored Hideki came to him from behind and raised its weapon over its head.

"Get away from him!" Mamoru sprinted towards it and went in to stab its back with his chisel, until rusty chains sprung from the ground under him and pulled him back. The chains the dug into skin as they tightened. Unable to move, Mamoru's eyes shot open in terror as the head of the creature in front of him did a complete 180 degree turn and faced him, before its torso did the same. Paralyzed from what he just saw, the living shadow swung its weapon at the boy and slashed Mamoru across the chest. His blood spilled onto its featureless face as Mamoru was pulled to the ground by the chains as he cried in pain, clenching his chest as his hand was stained with his own blood.

More of those chains then sprung around the paralyzed Tateyama and Takuya and snared them liked snakes capturing their prey. The strength of the chains were unbelievable, holding them tightly to a point where they were beginning to suffocate. The rust on the chains grazed their necks and arms while their wheelchairs began to crumple like paper. The metal frames of the wheelchairs were almost nothing to the chains' strength.

Hideki kicked the hand that grabbed onto his leg, but more of them burst onto the surface and surrounded him, grabbing him by the neck, arms and legs. Hideki cried in pain again, struggling harder and harder as his fingers clawed on the ground, trying to pull himself away from the hands as the monsters began to surround them like animals cornering their prey. One was looming over a stunned Mamoru, three were surrounding Takuya and Tateyama who were beginning to lose conscious, and two were heading straight for Hideki, dragging their pickaxes on the ground to emit a screeching noise that pierced Hideki's ears, stunning him and preventing him from further struggle.

Why? Why was this happening? he thought, What had they done to deserve this? Was he being punished for actions he had done, or was fate just cruel? Hope was almost non-existent in this situation, but Hideki continued to struggle relentlessly against the hands that anchored him to the ground, believing that this was not the end for him and his friends. Takuya and Tateyama felt their bodies go limp as their necks were near to the point of breaking, Mamoru threw his hand in the air and grabbed the pick-axe by the handle before the sharp, rusty edge pierced his face. The shadow monster pressed down on the handle and the sharp edge drew closer to Mamoru's eye. This was it, it was the end for them... or was it?"

Like the rumbling of thunder during a storm, the noise of a M249 machine gun deafened the ears of the boys as bullets whizzed past them and began cutting down the creatures one-by-one, blowing them apart like paper as their bodies dispersed and dissipated into thin, black smoke. Nothing was spared, only the boys remained. Hideki saw the bullets flow overhead as the hands around him released him and went back into the ground. The chains shattered and the boys, now released themselves from their imprisonment, looked at their savior who stood in front of them with a bleeding, cat-like creature clinging onto her shoulder. Hideki, no longer bounded to the floor, was utterly shocked from who it was, "H-Homura?!"

A sharp-looking, white, sleeved shirt that ended with black cuffs, a long, black collar that was covered by a small purple cloak which spread out to her shoulders and was tied with a purple bow, Homura wore a similar purple skirt with black leg-wear decorated with purple diamond patterns that gave off the air of a silent beauty. On her left arm where a large, circular shield was attached to, a purple, diamond-shaped gem was engraved onto the back of her left hand as she stared at the boys. There was a distant look in her eyes, but Hideki could see a bit of relief in them.

They remembered those eyes, as they were the same ones that she bore when the boys first saw her. That emotionless expression and calm facade, it was the same Homura before she had lost her memories.

Homura pushed the machine gun into the back of her shield and it disappeared - no trace, no hints on where it was - and she replaced it with a Beretta 92FS which she then holstered inside her pocket. The area they were in then faded until they were back in the corridor, as if a horrible nightmare had ended and the boys were awoken from it by Homura herself.

Hideki stood up on his feet, staring at her, "Homura, how-?" Mamoru's cries of pain cut him off and Hideki sprinted over to the injured boy. When he saw the bloody wound on Mamoru's chest, he felt all the blood in his face just drain until Homura came along and picked up Mamoru. She brought his arm over her shoulder, picking him up from the ground and turning to the others, "Come. We can treat him in my room."

Homura carried Mamoru into her room with his arm around her shoulder as the boy clutched his bleeding chest and whimpered in pain. As she laid him down on her bed, Hideki pushed Takuya and Tateyama into the room with new wheelchairs that he found for them a few rooms away. Once they closed the door, they watched from the sidelines as Homura held out a purple, egg-shaped gem with golden ornaments over Mamoru's bleeding injury and quietly assured him that he would be alright. The attack from this creatures had left Mamoru's chest slashed open, muscles visible, as his shirt was torn and stained with blood. Takuya was the only one that looked away when he saw that wound.

But when the purple gem shimmered with life over his wound - to the boys' shock - the large injury began to regenerate at a face pace. Flesh began to heal, muscles reappeared and the pain slowly began to disappear. When the wound was gone, Mamoru sat up, breathing slowly, and placed a hand on his chest where it no longer hurts. Eyes wide with disbelief as his chest was now fine, he looked at Homura, who still held a straight-face, "What just..?"

"H-Homura," Hideki stuttered, stepping towards the stoic girl while flinching in pain slightly, "Who.. What are... you- How did you do that?" he had so many questions to ask: About Homura, those creatures in that tunnel, and also, the bleeding, striped creature that was clinging onto Homura's shoulder. Before she answered, Homura picked the cat-like creature from her shoulder and went over to a drawer to take out some bandages.

"I assume that you have many questions to ask," Homura said, looking suspiciously towards the door before wrapping the bizarre-looking cat in her hands with bandages and compression wraps. She looked like she was keeping a wary eye out for danger as at least one hand was kept close to that pistol on pocket, "We do not have much time, but, I can answer a few questions. So ask away," she said without looking at them, her tone aloof and indifferent.

"Then I shall be the first to ask," Mamoru got up from the bed and stood in front the boys with crossed arms, "Just who exactly are you, Homura?" he sounded as if he was pleading for an answer, no matter how calm he tried to word his question.

Homura placed the striped creature on the bed once she had finished bandaging it up and then leaned on the bed railing to look at the boys with stoic eyes, "I shall put this straight and clearly: In this world, to the knowledge of barely any normal person, young girls from all over the world fight and oversee the destruction of negative entities in this world called 'Witches'. I am a Magical Girl - or a Puella Magi - if you'd prefer, and I am one of these girls. If you are wondering about the sudden change in my personality, it is because my memories have returned and I remember everything that has happened until now."

"'Puella Magi'...? 'Witches'...?" Tateyama pinched the bridge of his nose.

Takuya spoke next, rubbing his grazed neck, "Then those things just now, what were they?"

"Those are 'Familliars', servants of the Witches that act as minions for the Witches. What you were in just now was one of their lairs that they hide in," Homura tossed over a few bandages to Takuya who quickly caught it, "To further explain about this, us Puella Magi receive our powers by contracting with a white creature by the name of 'Kyubey', all through one simple exchange: We make a wish of any desire; a simple yet, tough decision that only a few are ready to make in an instant."

"And is that Kyubey?" Mamoru pointed to the cat on the bed, making Homura surprised for some reason.

"You can see him?" she asked and they all nodded. Homura then recollected herself and continued, "No, this is Sanbey. He is far different from Kyubey. A few days ago, I encountered him when I was stuck and in need of help; He offered me a deal," Homura petted Sanbey on the head, her tone turning slightly dark, "Something which I had not expected, like what had happened on the day I first met you all in school."

Hideki looked down on the floor with guilt, hands tightened, "The day you lost your memories... So, all this, it's really my-?" he felt a hand on his cheek. Looking up, Homura held his chin in her hand and titled his head up until he was no longer looking down with remorse. Hideki gazed into the raven-haired girl's eyes and he could see the unwavering willpower of a strong person in them, which proved to him that she had truly returned and was no longer the modest, shy girl from days ago.

"It was not your fault, Hakamichi. None of you were at fault," she looked at all of them, sweeping her gaze across them, "There were other factors that alluded to the sealing of my memories and if any you still harbor any guilt for that accident, I suggest you erase that," her words hit Hideki hard, but brought a sense of relief to his chest. Looking at the girl that was standing in front of him, her giving him comforting words and explaining about things he never knew about the world, this could only be a dream, or so he wished.

He knew it was real and had to accept this strange reality they now know and live in.

Suddenly, a scream that came from the hallway gained Homura's attention and the Puella Magi rushed to the door with her pistol armed in her hand. She slid open the door and turned to the boys with a simple order, "Whatever you do, watch over Sanbey for me and do not leave this room. We are not out of danger's reach yet and I will further explain myself after this. I have things to attend to," she stepped out of the door and halted in her steps when she heard Hideki calling out to her. She looked back and saw him stretching out his hand to her.

"Thank you... for saving us... and everything you've done up until now," Hideki stepped forward, a hand on his chest, "You've done a lot to help us, and if there's anything we can do to repay you, you can always ask us. You're our friend, after all."

Homura gazed down on the floor silently for a moment and then said, "I am no longer the Akemi Homura you knew, Hakamichi. Remember that. Although I remember everything I had done for you all, I am-" she looked back and trailed off when she saw the grateful smiles that came from Takuya and Hideki, the accepting nod from Tateyama and the acknowledging smirk from Mamoru. Homura quickly turned away, hiding her face and reaction from them, "... You're welcome. Stay safe," the door was then shut behind her and the boys were left alone. Mamoru took the bandages from Takuya's hands and called over Hideki to help him patch up Tateyama and Takuya; the blue-haired boy kept his eyes on the door for 10 seconds before looking away.

Homura patrolled the dark hallways of the hospital, aiming down the sights of her gun with sharp eyes and sweeping her aim across the tight spaces of the corridors. Her movements were slight, but steady, and her breathing was kept at normal pace. Knowing that the man in black she had encountered just now was still alive, she had to get rid of him first before she could evacuate the boys from the hospital. Homura took a sharp turn around a corner and halted, gun steady, as she saw something lying at her feet, "What's this?" she murmured.

Among closer inspection, Homura crouched down and saw that it was the unconscious body of one of the nurses. She was still breathing and minimal harm seemed to have been inflicted on her. Homura aimed her pistol down the corridor and found even more bodies scattered on the floor. From their positions, they all looked like they just collapsed and dropped to the ground. Homura continued walking and accidentally kicked something on the floor. She looked down and picked up a cracked open gas canister. Homura recognized it as a strong knock-out gas as Homura remembered the words Clyde had boasted.

"Master of espionage, assassination and info extraction."

Clyde must be trying to lower the death count to detract attention from the human populace and keep a low profile, Homura concluded. But even with his boasted skills, Homura had degraded Clyde into a bunch of limbs with ease from just using simple weapons. Whatever he was, even if he wasn't human, Homura still had the advantage of firepower over her. That, and her time-stopping powers would be her trump card against him. Homura made a mental note to ask Sanbey about what this 'Clyde' person was, as well, once she was done exterminating him. She knew Sanbey still had been hiding secrets from her, but this was something she had never expected.

Homura placed her Beretta inside her shield and pulled out the M249 she used earlier. The clunky, empty magazine fell to floor and Homura replaced it with a fresh box of ammo, "All set," she cocked the gun and pressed the butt of it against her shoulder, "Now, where is he?"

"Right here."

Homura drew in a sharp breath as she felt two hands suddenly punch though her stomach, her abdomen coursing with pain for a moment until she shut off her pain receptors and gritted her teeth. Blood leaking from the corner of her mouth, Homura looked back to see the white mask with the smile on its face, hidden underneath the bill of a fedora, "C-Clyde!" she hissed as her face contorted, her hand reaching for her shield.

"Hello, Homura. Did you miss me?"
